John McCain Took Part of $1 Million in Cash, Lavish Vacations, Private Jets from Conman; Then Lobbied Feds to Cover Up $3.4 BILLION Crook Ripped Off from Americans
That’s $3.4 Billion. Not million. Billion.
That is how much theft Sen. John McCain tried to help cover up from his friend and benefactor Charles Keating who had greased McCain and other senators with more than $1 million in political contributions. But that did not include the family vacations McCain’s family took with the Keating’s.
And the gifts.
And the campaign cash.
And the private jets.
And whatever side deals, property and cash these senators quietly scored.
So while everyone in D.C. now is offering tributes to John McCain — no one seems to remember the time he tried to make sure his pal could rip off billions from hard-working Americans who deposited their money in Lincoln Savings and Loan. Americans who lost their cash — and taxpayers who were on the hook for guaranteeing that money.
Credit Barack Obama for raising this scandal — a debacle McCain and his spin doctors have worked so hard to bury — in 2008 when he ran against McCain for the presidency.
Obama actually rolled out a website and made a documentary slamming McCain for his involvement. “McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating with federal regulators tasked with preventing banking fraud, and championed legislation to delay regulation of the savings and loan industry – actions that allowed Keating to continue his fraud at an incredible cost to taxpayers,” the site said.
The Facts: Keating was sentenced to prison and required to pay more than $1 billion in civil penalties after being convicted on fraud, racketeering and conspiracy charges centered around his running of Lincoln Savings and Loan, which he bought in 1984. On April 14, 1989, Lincoln was seized by the government at an eventual taxpayer cost of $3.4 billion, then the most expensive thrift bailout in history. Lincoln and Keating became national symbols of the savings-and-loans collapse of the ’80s – much as lending firms Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have symbolized the current financial meltdown.
McCain had been friends with Keating since the early ’80s – their families vacationed together several times, according to previous CNN reporting. Keating was an early financial supporter of McCain’s political career and donated to his campaigns repeatedly over the years. Keating’s first company, American Continental, was headquartered in Arizona, the state McCain represents. McCain became one of the so-called “Keating Five” – five U.S. senators investigated over accusations they tried to interfere in a federal investigation of Keating’s role in the savings-and-loan’s collapse.
In January 1985, while in the U.S. House, McCain co-sponsored a resolution that would have delayed the effective date of proposed government limits “on direct investment in real estate, service corporations, and equity securities by federally insured savings and loan associations.” He was one of the early sponsors, although a majority of Congress eventually signed on to sponsor it. The legislation would have impacted Keating’s business, but would have regulated the entire industry, not specifically Lincoln Savings and Loan.
McCain also wrote several letters to government regulators and other officials regarding the issue. One, dated Jan. 30, 1985, to White House chief of staff James Baker, called the proposed regulations “unwise,” saying the effort “flys (sic) in the face of our recent efforts to remove the hand of government from the affairs of private enterprise.”
On April 9, 1987, McCain and the other senators attended a meeting with federal regulators investigating Keating. McCain has since said he regrets doing so. “He asked me to help him,” he said during an October 2002 interview with Chicago’s WGN-AM radio station. “I said I wouldn’t do certain things. He called me a wimp. I threw him out of my office, but I still went to a meeting with four other senators with a group of regulators.” READ MORE:

IRIB slams closure of its social media accounts as 'clear censorship'
The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has condemned a coordinated move to block its channels on social media platforms, describing it as a "clear example of censorship" aimed at preventing the dissemination of truth and alternative viewpoints online.
In a Saturday statement, the IRIB World Service said "stifling independent media" amounts to a "political scandal" taking place in the age of communications and freedom of press.
On Thursday, Google removed 39 YouTube channels linked to the Iranian state broadcaster. Google terminated those accounts, along with six blogs on its Blogger service and 13 Google+ accounts linked with Iran. The move came after Twitter and Facebook also blocked hundreds of accounts on suspicion of possible ties with Iran.
"We identified and terminated a number of accounts linked to the IRIB organization that had disguised their connection to this effort," Google Vice President Kent Walker said in a statement.
Elsewhere in its statement, the IRIB said Iran's Spanish-language television channel, Hispan TV, had done nothing but reveal crimes committed by the Israeli regime and its masters and broadcast criminal acts carried out against humanity in Palestine, Yemen and other parts of the world.
It added that Iran's well-known Arabic-language Al-Alam news network has been for years exposing the plots hatched by enemies of regional countries, including Syria, Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon and Palestine.
The channel has showed crimes by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip and those of Saudi Arabia in Yemen, it said.
Al-Alam and Hispan TV's YouTube channels are among Iranian social media channels targeted.

I downloaded all of Q's photos (that appear to be taken by Q) to look for dead pixels. The idea is that if two photos have a dead pixel in the same spot, then those photos were taken by the same camera. Most of the photos are extremely low-res, are letterboxed, so this isn't at all conclusive. Knowing that Q has multiple devices, this is even less likely to be fruitful. I looked through them for about ten minutes and was only able to find one spot that looked like it might be a dead pixel. If I found two in the same spot, I'd have something, but it's worth trying this on any and all photos in the future.

Prosecutors have said it was triggered by an informer who overheard Turi talking on the phone about his business.

In Monsters We Trust: US Mainstream Media No Friend of the American People
Over the course of his turbulent presidency, Donald Trump has accused various media companies, with special attention reserved for CNN, as being purveyors of ‘fake news.’ In one early-morning Tweet last year, he slammed the “FAKE NEWS media” as the “enemy of the people.” This week, over 300 US newspapers ran editorials on the same day – an event in itself that points to some high degree of collusion and groupthink - denouncing Trump's insensitive portrayal of them, as if the notion that journalists were not in the same sleaze league as lawyers, politicians and professional con artists never crossed anyone’s mind before. Even the peace-loving Mahatma Gandhi recommended “equality for everyone except reporters and photographers.” But is the MSM really an “enemy of the people?”
First, it cannot be denied that the US media, taken in all its wholesomeness, has been overwhelmingly consistent in its ‘style’ of reporting on Donald Trump, the 45th POTUS. And by consistent I mean unprecedentedly critical, misleading and outright aggressive in its guerilla coverage of him. If one is not convinced by the gloom-and-doom Trump stories featured daily in the Yahoo News feed, then a study by the Media Research Center (MRC) should do the job. From January 1 through April 30, evening news coverage of the US leader - courtesy of ABC, CBS and NBC - were 90 percent negative, which is pretty much the same incredible average revealed by MRC one year earlier. The study looked at every one of the 1,065 network evening news stories about Trump and his administration during the first four months of 2018. Total negative news time devoted to Trump: 1,774 minutes, or about one-third of all evening news airtime. That’s pretty much the definition of a circle jerk. “Nearly two-fifths (39%) of the TV coverage we examined focused on Trump scandals and controversies, while 45 percent was devoted to various policy issues,” MRC wrote in its report.
Meanwhile, the farcical Russia ‘collusion’ story was consistently the main grabber — clocking in at 321 minutes, or nearly one-fifth of all Trump coverage. Of the 598 statements MRC calculated about Trump’s personal scandals, virtually all of them (579, or 97%) came out of the media wash cycle tarred and feathered. If this represents an orchestrated attack on the Commander-in-Chief, and in light of those numbers it would be difficult to argue it isn’t, the strategy appears to be falling flat. Despite, or precisely because of, the avalanche of negative media coverage, Trump’s popularity rating smashed the 50 percent ceiling in early August and continues to remain high.

Although it can be safely stated that the MSM is an entrenched and relentless enemy of Donald Trump, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an “enemy of the American people,” as Trump argues it is. Let’s be a bit more diplomatic and say it isn’t our friend. One yard stick for proving the claim is to consider the steadily mounting concentration of media holdings. In 1983, 90 percent of US media were controlled by 50 companies; today, 90 percent is controlled by the Big Six (AT&T, Comcast, The Walt Disney Company, 21st Century Fox, CBS and Viacom control the spoken and printed word from sea to shining sea).Although many people are aware of the monopolistic tendencies of the US mainstream media, it’s important to understand the level of concentration. It means the vast majority of everything you see and hear on any electronic device or printed publication is ‘democratically’ controlled by six average white guys and their shareholders. However, keeping track of who owns what these days is practically impossible since the dozens of subsidiary companies that fall under each main company are themselves fiefdoms, each with their own separate holdings. In fact, the already short ‘Big Six’ list is already dated, since National Amusements, Inc. has gobbled up both Viacom and CBS, while 21st Century Fox merged with Disney this year. As for the 350 US newspapers that penned tortured editorials decrying Trump’s critical opinion of them, many of those ‘local’ publications get their marching orders from either the Hearst Communications or the Gannett Company on the East Coast.

In the photo he posted with Trump, Lebron assured his followers that the president definitely knows about the QAnon conspiracy, though he's also claimed that they didn't explicitly talk about it. If that sounds confusing, it's nothing compared to the fact that no one can seem to account for how or why Lebron was in the Oval Office in the first place. An illegal alien who failed to be deported in 2012 was convicted and sentenced this week for the rape of two women and a third, now deceased, whom he admitted to raping.
Miguel Luna, a 37-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, was sentenced to 80 years in prison after being convicted of raping two women in 2015 and 2016, according to the Chicago Tribune. A third woman whom the illegal alien raped has since died, though prosecutors revealed evidence showing Luna admitting to the rape.
Luna had an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) final order for removal placed on him in 2012 before the rapes occurred, but the deportation order was never honored. Illinois is, for the most part, a sanctuary state where illegal aliens are protected from being deported.
Judge David Carlson laid into the illegal alien as he passed down the 80-year prison sentence.
“You were free to do these acts … whether through misguided political correctness or people who do not believe in laws or borders,” Carlson told Luna, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“One thing I can do with the sentence is show that the laws we believe in here, maybe this won’t happen again, maybe that’s a little bit of closure,” Carlson said.
The illegal alien is mandated to serve at least 85 percent of his prison sentence and he must register as a sex offender should he ever be released from prison.

Police chase on 1-55 may be related to sex offender warning
IMPERIAL, MO — Police were searching for a suspect after a frightening incident at a traffic stop. The officer attempted to pull over a vehicle on I-55 near Herculaneum, Missouri. The officer was dragged during an incident and the suspect sped off.
The police pursuit wound down I-55 near Imperial, Missouri. Shots may have been fired during the chase. Officers then surrounded a home the 1200 block of Oakwood Drive in Festus. A St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter says that the suspect is deceased. The identity of the suspect has not been released.
This appears to be related to a warning police issued Friday morning at Jefferson County's Dunklin School District. They said an unregistered sex offender has been parking just off school grounds with a puppy and waving at students.
That suspect is described as a 56-year-old white male with blue eyes and gray hair. He was driving a black Chevy Equinox. This is the same vehicle description in the police chase that ended in Festus.
Festus schools were temporarily on a precautionary lockdown during the chase. The officer dragged by the suspect does not appear to have serious injuries.

A hypophora is described as a figure of speech in which a speaker raises a question then immediately answers it.
