During GG anons faced armies of bots, right from the beginning when the first tweet with the hashtag was made. With the software tool tweetdeck anons were able to see the tweets in real time, i also used it and made an extra colum for the hashtag. I saw a lot of the journos, their friends, bots and so on, making all the same tweet, like a pasta bot or something. When taking a closer look the their friends and how they connect to each other, you started to notice that they use always a second account or a bot filtering the tweets, a bot everyone would follow just so they don't have to friend each other, cutting all connection to each other.

They took a bot, called it something like GGNews, this bot retweeted and followed everyone pro-GG, the bot itself was followed by all those anti-GG folks. The reason why this was made like this, to monitor all pro-GG people since the hashtag and the pro-GG people itself where shadowbanned, in case something came up to counter the leak. You get the idea.

Clare Bronfman has been a tireless champion and financial benefactor to the headline-making alleged cult NXIVM for decades. For more than a decade, the sisters lavished their inheritance upon NXIVM leader Keith Raniere in an effort to build his reputation. Nothing was too much for Raniere. Private jets, meetings with the Dalai Lama, and even a private island in Fiji for retreats were all things the Bronfman sisters funded without hesitation. While Sara Bronfman became less involved in subsequent years after starting a family, Clare remained hopelessly devoted to Raniere.

Bronfman’s unwavering dedication to Raniere and everything he stood for soon estranged her from her family. Even as his health was failing, Bronfman – camera crew in tow – pressed her father to admit that he had wrongly criticized Raniere by describing NXIVM as a cult to Forbes.

Last fall, a story by The New York Times revealed NXIVM for what it really is: an exploitative cult that uses sex and blackmail to control its followers. It was followed by an even darker discovery, a secret sorority of women within the group was branded with Raniere’s initials. Still, Bronfman’s loyalty was unshaken by the news. “I’ve seen so much good come from both our programs and from Keith himself,” Bronfman wrote on her personal website in December 2017. “It would be a tragedy to lose the innovative and transformational ideas and tools that continue to improve the lives of so many.”

During her nearly 20 years in NXIVM, Bronfman went from intrigued follower to the powerful financier who aggressively fought multiple lawsuits against the group. That was, until July 24, when she, along with Raniere, Smallville actress Allison Mack, and several others were arrested for an array of crimes including identity theft, extortion, forced labor, sex trafficking, money laundering, wire fraud, and obstruction of justice.

Immediately when a happening takes place and people come together you always can consider the group to be co-opted right away. Often by injecting fals information which also helps to derail and slide. But most important is the fact that it's help to divide the group. As soon you see more than one place where information can be shared you can consider this tactic already took place. Yes, the same goes for the Q's too. I already saw many other platform where groups come together. The bad part about this is, information no longer get directly shared and within an 'war of infromation' this can breake your neck immidiatley. In the beginning:

I was there, before the hashtag was made, forced to the chan by the heavy censoreship on plebbit. I had to learn it the hard way but at least i learned. I had a thread going on plebbit, the topic about bias journos, fake news and so on. It was about the question: Can we still trust gaming journalism. The thread was ok, it had a lot of conversation and everything seems comfy, meanwhile, outside of that box a fire took place and it was made bigger by another thread made shortly after mine. A well known game critic (totalbiscuit) made the thread, and while my thread was going normal, his thread got heavy censorship. Until i was shadowbanned and the thread got deleted too. I went to the chan to continue the disscuison about the bias in the MSM. Anons came up with the idea to leak all the archived proof of the wrongdoings to the public by going on twatter. Some hashtags already existed like #quinnspiracy and alike. They where to shitty to be used so we had to developed a new hashtag and pushed to the world trends.

We had a list of hashtag to choose from, hashtags like journogate. First tag on the list was gamergate. While the vote for the tag went on, anons became more and more aware of the censorship on twatter, meaning, making a hashtag wouldn't work. Everyone started to say "don't do this" as if we had suddenly social experts in the thread. Shortly after that, the first tag was taken by adam baldwin and the whole idea fall apart.

Back then, we all weren't aware how deep the rabbit hole went. Not everyone was aware how deep jack (owner of twatter) actually manipulate the trends, tags and all that. Today, i am very well aware of it. Almost everyone within the GG happenings saw it. I can guess you guys are also aware of it by now because this manipulation took more than once place since GG.

President Trump to sign defense authorization bill bearing John McCain's name

When President Donald Trump heads to Fort Drum in upstate New York Monday to celebrate the signing of the 2019 military authorization funding bill, he will have a hard time ignoring the man whose name is attached to it: John McCain.

The John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 was named in honor of the longtime Arizona senator and former prisoner of war who is chair of the Senate Armed Service Committee and currently battling brain cancer.

“I am particularly humbled that my colleagues chose to designate legislation of such importance in my name," McCain said earlier this month in a statement from his home in Arizona where he is receiving care.

California election officials are defending against cyberattacks — without any help from D.C.

California election officials are guarding their voting machines and registration lists against Russian hackers — although no one has spotted any.

“I operate under the assumption that hacking is actually happening and California is a target,” Secretary of State Alex Padilla says.

“This year, there’s a big focus on several congressional races that could determine the House majority. The stakes in California have national implications.”

But would the Russians actually try to change election outcomes?

“I have no doubt that if they could, they would,” says Padilla, a Democrat who’s heavily favored to win reelection in November.

Hacking into California’s voting system and altering votes, however, is considered by most experts to be practically impossible. That’s because voting machines aren’t hooked up to the internet. State law forbids it. A hacker might attack one machine but couldn’t reach into the entire vote-collecting system.

“We invited the Department of Homeland Security to try to hack into our system,” says Joe Holland, Santa Barbara County’s recorder-assessor and president of the state association of election officials. “They stayed five days and couldn’t do it.”

Voter registration lists are different, however.

“People are registered online. Records are connected to the internet. And hackers could break into those,” says Matt Bishop, a UC Davis computer science professor. “They could create chaos by disenfranchising voters.”

Why would Russians want to do that? To tick off Americans and undermine the credibility of U.S. elections — to further divide us and exacerbate political polarization. This was their goal in interfering with the 2016 presidential election — that and helping President Trump beat Hillary Clinton, who really irked Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Fomenting discord also is achieved by spreading false information — “fake news” — on social media, including Twitter and Facebook.

Like what?

“Everything from directing people to the wrong polling places — that happens,” Padilla says. “And there’s the age-old tactic of trying to tell voters that the election is on a different date. Two years ago, they were saying that provisional ballots aren’t counted. That’s absolutely not true.”

Yes, there were lies flowing through the internet that thousands of boxes of provisional ballots were stacked in warehouses, never to be opened. Some people actually believed it.

A provisional ballot is cast when someone shows up at a voting place and isn’t listed on the precinct registration list. The voter might have gone to the wrong location. Rather than send the person packing, a provisional ballot is handed out. And the voter is checked out later.
