US President Donald Trump has reportedly called on Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky to travel to Moscow for peace talks with President Vladimir Putin, Bloomberg has reported, citing sources close to the Ukrainian leader.
Russia has previously repeatedly said that Zelensky could visit Moscow at any time.
The American president made the suggestion during his meeting with Zelensky on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly this week, the outlet reported. The Ukrainian leader rejected the idea, people familiar with the conversation told Bloomberg, adding that Trump’s proposal had “upset him.”
Zelensky was visibly irritated by journalists outside the UN headquarters on Wednesday. Pressed about when he would visit Moscow, the Ukrainian leader replied: “On a f***king missile!”
Earlier this week, Ukraine and 51 of its backers released a statement demanding that Russia accept an “immediate and unconditional ceasefire” so that peace talks between Moscow and Kiev can take place. Russian Foreign Minister SergeyLavrov said Moscow will not halt its military operation, accusing Kiev’s European sponsors of seeking a pause only “to pump the Kiev regime with weapons.”
Trump has recently renewed efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict, with his special envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner traveling to both Moscow and Kiev earlier this month.Witkoff said afterward that he felt “good” about the discussions in both capitalsand that Washington hopes diplomacy can bring an end to the conflict.
Moscow has repeatedly said it is ready to settle the Ukraine conflictas long as its root causes are addressed and the realities on the ground are taken into account. Russia’s demands include Ukraine abandoning its plans to join NATO and adopting neutral status, accepting restrictions on its armed forces, and formally recognizing Crimea and four other former Ukrainian regions as Russian territory. Crimea voted to join Russia shortly after the 2014 Western-backed coup in Kiev. Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions held similar referendums in September 2022.
Kiev has consistently rejected Moscow’s conditions, insisting on restoring control over all territories it lays claim to and joining NATO. At the same time, Zelensky has repeatedly stated that he wants to meet Putin in person to settle the conflict, even though he legally barred himself from such talks.
Moscow has repeatedly cited Kiev’s aggressive posture and the hostile position of its European backers as major obstacles to a peace settlement.
The Kremlin has nevertheless maintained that it is ready to welcome Zelensky to Moscow at any time if he truly wishes to reach a deal rather than stage a PR stunt, even though Russia considers him “illegitimate,” as his presidential term expired more than two years ago and he has not called a new vote.
On Wednesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia was ready to “provide security guarantees” to Zelensky if he decided to travel to Moscow.

Vladimir Zelensky put his personal interests first when he breached an agreement with Seoul not to disclose the transfer of two North Korean prisoners of war captured in Russia, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung has said.
Zelensky touted the arrangement during his speech to the UN General Assembly this week, saying it was “not easy to capture alive” the two soldiers. North Korea deployed troops to assist Russia in repelling a Ukrainian incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region in 2024-2025.
Lee rebuked Zelensky, without naming him, in an X post on Thursday, arguing that statesmen should put national interests first rather than opportunistically seeking to boost their own popularity.
The Ukrainian leader demonstrated a “callous and irresponsible attitude [that is] simply unacceptable,” the president wrote, stressing that Seoul and Kiev had agreed to keep the highly sensitive transfer private.
South Korean opposition lawmaker Yoo Yong-won, who championed the transfer of North Korean POWs since meeting them in Ukraine last year, told reporters that the two soldiers arrived in the country earlier this week.
He criticized the Lee administration for seeking to keep the agreement with Zelensky secret and said the government “should have taken a more proactive and assertive approach.” The deal was reached sometime in June, he added.
Kiev has long pressured Seoul to provide direct military support for the conflict with Russia, citing North Korea’s involvement in the conflict. Yoo said that, as far as he knew, the delivery of the POWs was not conditioned on South Korea changing its policy of not sending weapons to Ukraine.
South Korea does not formally recognize the government in Pyongyang as legitimate and considers all Koreans citizens of a single nation, regardless of the part of the peninsula where they were born.
The two soldiers captured in Russia are said to have expressed the wish to be sent to South Korea. Both were reportedly taken prisoner in January 2025.

Ukrainian soldier behind deadly Polish convent stabbing attack – RIA
One priest has died and another is in a critical condition after the attack in the southeastern city of Jaroslaw

A Ukrainian man has stabbed five people at a Catholic convent in southeastern Poland, killing a priest, according to the local authorities. The suspect had served in the Ukrainian army, RIA Novosti reported on Friday, citing an anonymous source familiar with the criminal investigation.
The attack occurred at around 9:30 AM on Thursday at the Benedictine abbey complex in Jaroslaw, in Podkarpackie region, which borders Ukraine.
According to preliminary findings, the suspect took a knife from a kitchen at the complex. The attack took place inside the church as clergy and worshipers were preparing for mass.
The priest who died from his injuries was hearing confessions ahead of the service and reportedly tried to stop the attacker. Another victim, also a priest, is in serious condition. The lives of the other three wounded, a man and two women, are no longer in danger, the authorities said.
The suspected attacker,identified as a 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen, was detained at the scene. Investigators said he entered Poland from Germany overnight and was apparently heading toward a border crossing with Ukraine. The suspect is a Ukrainian soldier on his way to Ukraine, RIA Novosti reported, adding that he will now undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
It remains unclear how he ended up at the abbey or what his motive was.
The attack has triggered shock in Jaroslaw, with residents gathering outside the abbey and lighting candles for the slain priest.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki said the killing had caused “deep shock and outrage,” adding that “the principles and values of our community must be respected by all those residing in our country.”
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the perpetrator would be punished “with the full severity of Polish law.”
Opposition leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has called for investigators to establish the circumstances of the suspect’s presence in Poland and whether he had previously come to the attention of security services.
The incident comes amid a marked deterioration in Polish attitudes toward Ukrainian refugees. A July report by the polling agency CBOS found that, for the first time since it began tracking the issue, a majority of Poles opposed accepting them, with 52% against and 42% in favor.Support had stood at 94% shortly after the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022.
The share of Poles who believe reconciliation with Ukrainians is possible has fallen to a record low of 53%, according to CBOS data published in September, while 38% said it was impossible. The survey came amid persistent historical disputes, particularly over the WWII-era Volhynia massacres of Poles and the legacy of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA).

The Clinton campaign is attempting once again to sweep important questions under the rug about top aide Huma Abedin, her family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and to Saudi Arabia, and her role in the ballooning Clinton email scandal.
Her mother, Saleha Abedin, sits on the Presidency Staff Council of the International Islamic Council for Da’wa and Relief, a group that is chaired by the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi.
Perhaps recognizing how offensive such ties will be to voters concerned over future terrorist attacks on this country by radical Muslims professing allegiance to Sharia law, the Clinton campaign on Monday tried to downplay Ms. Abedin’s involvement in the Journal and the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Clinton surrogate group Media Matters claimed predictably there was “no evidence” that Ms. Abedin or her family had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and that Trump campaign staffers who spoke of these ties were conspiracy theorists.
To debunk the evidence, Media Matters pointed to a Snopes.com “fact-check” piece that cited as its sole source… Senator John McCain. This is the same John McCain who met Libyan militia leader Abdelkarim Belhaj, a known al Qaeda associate, and saluted him as “my hero” during a 2011 visit to Benghazi.

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon just confirmed what every honest observer already knew: the old Civil Rights Division was a woke fortress inside Main Justice.
When President Trump’s team told those lawyers the American people had voted to end illegal DEI discrimination and scrub dirty voter rolls, about 300 of the division’s 400 attorneys walked out.
Dhillon did not mourn them. She called it what it was.
In an interview this week with Col. Kurt Schlichter filling in on the Hugh Hewitt Show, Dhillon said the Civil Rights Division is one of the largest shops at Main Justice in Washington.
When she arrived, it had about 400 attorneys. After her office made clear it would implement the president’s executive orders, “prioritizing getting rid of DEI and cleaning up voter rolls,” “eventually about 300 of those attorneys quit, and so they self-deported.”
Then she rebuilt.
“We then had the task of, while we had DOJ restrictions and budgetary constraints, building back the Civil Rights Division,” Dhillon said. “And I’m really happy to say that I recruited over 100 great legal professionals here to the DOJ.”
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Dhillon told Tucker Carlson last year that holdouts inside the division held “crying sessions” and “unhappy hours” after she made it clear the era of weaponized civil-rights law was over. According to the New York Post, she later said those lawyers “self-deported with a nice golden parachute from the government.” She didn’t fire them. She told them the job had changed. They left.
The numbers line up with other reporting. Bloomberg Law reported this month that more than 300 of the division’s 400-plus lawyers departed over the past 19 months as Dhillon redirected the office toward voter-roll enforcement, campus discrimination, and religious-liberty cases.
What did those lawyers refuse to do?
They refused to treat race discrimination as race discrimination when the victims were Asian students, white applicants, or anyone else locked out by DEI. They refused to help states stop illegal voting. They refused to treat dirty rolls — dead registrants, movers, duplicates, and noncitizens — as a civil-rights problem for actual American citizens.
The Gateway Pundit has documented that fight for months. TGP reported last December that a limited review of 47.5 million records turned up more than 260,000 dead people still on the rolls and thousands of noncitizens registered for federal elections.
In March, Dhillon said a review of 50 to 60 million records had found hundreds of thousands of ineligible registrations, including more than 300,000 dead voters still listed. The division has sued states that stonewalled the data and put election officials on notice that knowingly leaving noncitizens on the rolls can be a federal crime.
That is the work the old guard would not touch.
Dhillon told Schlichter the rebuilt division is now operating as one unit. The priorities, she said, are the ones voters chose: stopping race discrimination in hiring, helping states stop illegal voting, cleaning voter rolls, going after universities that take federal money and still discriminate, targeting antisemitism on campus, and prosecuting church blockades, including the so-called protesters in Minnesota who obstructed churchgoers.
“We’re just really proud of the work that we’ve done here in the Civil Rights Division,” she said, pointing to findings letters against universities for ongoing discrimination after the Supreme Court’s fair-admissions ruling and to new categories of cases the old division would never have opened.

Desolate Arctic outpost likely to host US troops under new Greenland deal

At a windswept gravel airstrip in eastern Greenland, a small Danish military detachment has quietly kept watch for decades.
Now, under a new U.S. defense agreement signed this week,the outpost at Mestersvig could soon become a key American military foothold in the Arctic.
Mestersvig sits 149 miles from the nearest settlement (population 330), at the edge of an uninhabited national park larger than Germany and France combined. The place is covered in darkness during winter, with average temperatures of around 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
“This is as remote, as cold, and as extreme as you can find in the world. You have to go to Antarctica to find similar conditions,” said Anders Ibsen, a former officer with Denmark’s Sirius dog sled patrol, an elite unit that uses Mestersvig to resupply.
STRATEGIC CHOKEPOINT
It oversees the stretch of ocean between Greenland, Iceland and Britain — known as the GIUK gap — that Russia’s Northern Fleet must cross to reach the Atlantic.For NATO, controlling this chokepoint is critical to containing Russian naval power.
Local member of parliament Justus Hansen welcomed the expansion, saying, “In east Greenland, we really need that new money.”
Under the defense agreement, Washington will be allowed to establish a new base at Mestersvig and Narsarsuaq in southern Greenland, potentially marking the first U.S. military expansion on the vast, semi-autonomous Arctic island in decades.
Currently,only three soldiers maintain the facility, which was built in the 1960s and includes barracks to house 150 soldiers.
The U.S. has made no public announcement about its plans for the base.
A HISTORY OF OUTSIDE INTEREST
During World War II, this stretch of the Arctic island’s coast became a front line in the “weather war,” a race between Germany and the Allies to read Greenland’s weather, which shaped conditions over the North Atlantic and Europe days later.
Germany secretly built manned stations here, but Danish dog sled patrols tracked them down, and Allied forces drove them out.
Nearby,an EU-backed project aims to mine molybdenum — a critical metal for aerospace and defence — some 12 miles away. A Texas oil company plans to drill for oil this winter at an untested basin just south of Mestersvig, although it still lacks a permit to do so.
The previous owner, ARCO, spent heavily on seismic work in the 1970s but never drilled.
“Any infrastructural improvements in Greenland would be very welcome,” said Robert Price, CEO of Greenland Energy, the oil company.
The 1.1-mile airstrip — long enough for military transport planes to land — can collect up to 5 meters of snow a year.
“When it’s snowing, you’re basically removing snow 24/7,” said Ibsen, the former dog sled patrol officer who spent a year at Mestersvig.
“You have plenty to do just staying alive.”

Military personnel data exposed in breach, agency warns

A vulnerability in a Defense Manpower Data Center system allowed unauthorized users to access files containing unencrypted personal information, including Social Security numbers and military personnel data, according to a breach notification letter reviewed by Military Times.
The Defense Manpower Data Center, or DMDC, discovered the vulnerability on July 16 in a file-sharing system, according to a notification sent Sept. 18 to an individual whose information was contained in the affected files.
An analysis conducted after the discovery found that unauthorized users had accessed files on a server containing unencrypted personally identifiable information, or PII, between October 2025 and July 16, 2026, according to the letter, the authenticity of which was confirmed by two defense officials.
The unauthorized users gained access to the Social Security number of the letter’s recipient, as well as at least one additional piece of identifying information, such as a name, date of birth, contact information, sex, race or military personnel information, including occupational specialty, according to the notification.
The notice states that the department had no indication that the individual’s information had been misused.
The potential scope of the breach remains unclear. Two people familiar with the incident told Military Times that approximately four million Defense Department personnel may be affected.
The department is offering the affected individuals one year of credit monitoring and identity-restoration services through IDX, a private company contracted by the DoD, according to the notice.
DMDC describes itself as the Defense Department’s central source for identifying, authenticating, authorizing and providing information on personnel during and after their affiliation with the department. The agency’s website says it maintains more than 60 million DoD records involving military and civilian personnel, contractors, family members, retirees and veterans.
The notification letter said a “security vulnerability” in a file-sharing system allowed unauthorized users to gain access. The Defense Department and DMDC did not immediately respond to questions about the number of people affected or who accessed the files.
The notification letter says DMDC updated the file-sharing system to patch the vulnerability after discovering the problem and restored the system.

A federal appeals court on Friday upheld the Pentagon’s blacklisting of Anthropic from military contracts, handing a victory to President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in their battle with the AI startup over safety guardrails on its technology.
The 2-1 decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington came in a lawsuit by Anthropic challenging its March designation by the Pentagon as a national security supply chain risk, which the startup says has cost it billions of dollars in lost business and damaged its reputation ahead of a highly anticipated initial public offering.
The court’s majority said it was reasonable for the Pentagon to designate Anthropic after it refused to allow its products to be used for autonomous weapons or mass surveillance. It rejected Anthropic’s claim that the Pentagon had retaliated against it for its views on AI safety and ethics.
Siding with Hegseth’s argument that Anthropic’s safety restrictions could compromise military operations, the majority said, “The Secretary raises the deeply sobering prospect of overly constrained AI models shutting down unexpectedly and thus causing important military operations to fail,” in an opinion by Judge Gregory Katsas.
San Francisco-based Anthropic said in a statement Friday that it respectfully disagrees with the decision but remains confident in its position and is considering its options, including review of the three-judge panel’s decision by the full appeals court.
The White House and the Department of Defense did not immediately respond to emails seeking comment.
A federal judge in San Francisco last month struck down a parallel designation under a different law, finding the administration had unlawfully retaliated against Anthropic for its views on AI safety. U.S. District Judge Rita Lin in San Francisco also blocked Trump’s government-wide ban on Anthropic and Hegseth’s order barring military contractors from doing any business with the startup.
Hegseth designated Anthropic as a risk under two different laws after Anthropic refused to remove guardrails against its technology being used for autonomous weapons or mass domestic surveillance.
The unprecedented move came after months of negotiations ended in failure and public recriminations by Hegseth and Trump, who accused Anthropic of endangering American lives with ideological posturing.
Anthropic denied that characterization and said AI is not yet reliable enough to be safely used in autonomous weapons. The company also said it opposes domestic surveillance as a violation of fundamental rights.

Why This Happens on Imageboards
When the board's frontend JavaScript tries to make an AJAX request (like auto-refreshing threads, submitting a post, or fetching a catalog update via post.php), the browser checks security permissions.
The error means:
The script tried to pull data from a domain or port that differs from the page you are currently viewing, or the server handled a request and completely forgot to include the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header in its response.
Because the server failed to grant permission via that specific header, your browser's security shield slammed down and blocked the request to prevent cross-site scripting attacks.
Is This Your Fault?
No. Your User JS script only manipulates text nodes on the page using a MutationObserver. It does not make cross-origin network requests (fetch or XMLHttpRequest), so it cannot trigger a CORS header failure.
What Does This Mean for You?
If everything on the board is working normally: You can completely ignore it. Websites frequently trigger minor CORS warnings in the background due to misconfigured server headers, third-party widgets, or ad-blocker interference.
If posting or auto-updating is broken: If you notice that clicking "Post" fails or threads stop updating, it means the board's backend server is currently misconfigured or experiencing a glitch. Only the site administrators can fix a missing CORS response header on post.php because it has to be set properly on their server's web server configuration (like Nginx or Apache).

President Donald Trump told Congress on Friday that he has unilaterally canceled almost $1 billion in federal funding without their consent through a “pocket rescission” maneuver.
The money the president is attempting to claw back is designated for immigration services, support to foreign countries, education programs, health research efforts and assistance for businesses owned by minorities, though it will likely face legal challenges after the midterms, according to Politico.
Trump can only send a request to rescind federal funding to Congress and then withhold that money for 45 days while lawmakers weigh whether to approve, reject or ignore it, according to federal law.
The White House Office of Management and Budget described the funding cut as focused on “the most harmful government spending," according to the Associated Press, and most of the cuts are focused on Health and Human Services programs that serve refugees and unaccompanied minors in the country illegally.
Another main target is a Department of Education program for migrant and foreign students.
Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins blasted the move as illegal and claimed it came without warning or consultation with Congress.
“Not only is the delay itself an impoundment that was not reported to Congress, but also it is a usurpation of Congress’s appropriations powers,” Collins said. “OMB is an agency of the executive branch. It does not get to decide which programs are worth funding.”
The move comes after the president clawed back $9 billion in federal funding last year, though those actions were supported by Congress in a rescission package.

The Trump administration is hosting an exclusive event next week to launch a new federal artificial intelligence tool that is designed to streamline citizen access to the federal government.
The day-long event will take place on Tuesday and will feature President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Officials will then launch America.gov, a new website designed to enhance "the citizen experience."
A White House official told Fox News that the new AI tool is "a new front door for the federal government that will provide a one-stop shop for Americans looking for information and resources from the federal government that are currently spread over a maze of various agency websites."
The event will take place at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C., and will include guests like Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Dr. Mehmet Oz and the first ever U.S. Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia, who is also the co-founder of Airbnb.
Elon Musk, NASA administrator Jared Isaacson, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp are also expected to attend the event.
"Next week is really about the golden age of America, and really getting to showcase how it's not just a statement, it's actually being built," Gebbia told Fox News. "What we're really excited about is that one of the things that we've been building is the golden age of the citizen experience."
Gebbia said the new AI tool is built to solve a simple problem faced by Americans who have struggled with accessing the federal government and that they should not be forced to accept that interactions with the government will be negative.
"What if people didn't say that? What if people had a different sentiment?" He asked. "It's entirely possible they can. It takes a president who cares about this, it takes an administration who wants to invest in it, and it takes the right talent to build it. President Trump has those three things."
