Iran requested new Russian Geran drones for attacks on Israeli, American targets amid war - report
Russia based the original Geran, which carries a 20-kilogram warhead and has a top speed of 185 kph, on Iranian-designed Shahed drones.
Tehran requested that Russia provide the regime with its new generation of Geran drones earlier this year during the Israeli-US war with Iran, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
The report cited Western security officials and a source close to the Kremlin, who said that Iran made the request following substantial improvements to Russia's Geran family of drones.

The IDF killed two Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, the military said, noting that both were members of the terror organization's engineering unit.
The terrorists, identified by the IDF as Hassan Ali Abu Nada and Abd al-Rahim Ahmad Khalil Khawa, were involved in weapon production and development, the advancement of terror attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians, and reconstituting Hamas's capabilities.

Yemeni army rosters filled with 'ghost names,' leaving Mocha vulnerable to Houthi takeover - report
Yemeni battalions stationed in the port city of Mocha were left largely unprepared to fend off a takeover by the Iran-backed Houthis on Thursday, with much of the force’s roster filled with “ghost names” of soldiers that did not actually exist, according to a Saturday CNN report.
A Western source with knowledge of Yemeni anti-Houthi operations told CNN that the “ghost names” received salaries, making the army seem much stronger than it was on paper. In actuality, the army was only around 20% of what it appeared to be, according to the source.
Blame for the apparent lack of military resistance to the Houthi takeover has been split between Yemeni leaders, the United States, and Saudi Arabia, with multiple sources telling CNN that different parties were responsible for the failure.
One regional CNN source described the fall of Mocha as “a Saudi-American f*** up of epic proportions” caused by delayed decision-making by Washington and Riyadh.

IDF warns of rising West Bank tensions despite low terror levels, pushes for preventive operations
Despite the fact that terror levels in the West Bank are very low, the lowest since 2011, security officials warned on Sunday that Hamas headquarters in Turkey, Gaza, Iran, Qatar, Lebanon, and other locations will likely attempt to advance terror plots targeting Israelis and IDF soldiers.
The low level of terror activity is attributed to combined operations by the Judea and Samaria Division, commanded by Brig.-Gen. Kobi Heller, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), Israel Police and Border Police.
Ahead of the holidays, the Judea and Samaria Division carried out extensive preventive operations, targeting not only suspects involved in terror activity but also incitement hubs, in an effort to minimize the potential for attacks in the area.
