Appeals Court Rules Trump Didn’t Have Authority to Appoint Federal Prosecutor Who Subpoenaed Letitia James

A federal appeals court on Friday ruled that President Trump did not have the authority to appoint Acting US Attorney for the Northern District of New York, John Sarcone.

A three-judge panel in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, in a 2-1 vote, said John Sarcone was unlawfully appointed when he subpoenaed New York Attorney General Letitia James.

The three-judge panel included: Judge Guido Calabresi (Clinton), Judge Michael Park (Trump), and Judge Maria Kahn (Biden).

Earlier this year, a federal judge disqualified the Trump-appointed US Attorney for the Northern District of New York overseeing investigations into New York Attorney General Letitia James.

US District Judge Lorna Schofield, an Obama appointee, disqualified acting US Attorney John Sarcone and quashed two subpoenas issued to Letitia James.

John Sarcone was investigating Letitia James’s lawfare civil suit against President Trump and her lawsuit against the National Rifle Association (NRA).

Letitia James asked the judge to quash two subpoenas, arguing that Sarcone was unlawfully appointed and given a “special attorney” status.

The judge lashed out at then-US Attorney General Pam Bondi for making Sarcone an Acting US Attorney after his 120-day interim role expired.

“Instead, on the same day that the judges declined to extend Mr. Sarcone’s appointment, the Department took coordinated steps — through personnel moves and shifting titles — to install Mr. Sarcone as Acting U.S. Attorney. Federal law does not permit such a workaround,” the judge wrote, according to CBS News.

Sarcone is the fifth Trump-appointed US Attorney to be disqualified by a rogue judge.

Multiple patients went into cardiac arrest after a ‘pharmacy error’ led to a dangerous drug mix-up.

Two patients are paralyzed, and one is on a ventilator at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital after they were given the wrong medication prior to surgery.

The four patients were reportedly given potassium instead of an anesthetic. The dangerous mix-up happened at the hospital’s in-house pharmacy.

Too much potassium administered too quickly can stop a person’s heart, CBS reported.The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations is now involved in the case.

The hospital said they were “sorry” for injecting the patients with too much potassium.

“Our hearts remain entirely with the four patients and families impacted by the recent event at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown,” the hospital said. “On behalf of our leadership and care teams, we extend our deepest apologies for the harm caused.”

Pentagon Fires Stars and Stripes Publisher, Editor-in-Chief, and Reporter for “Insubordination”

he Pentagon moved Friday to fire three senior employees at the taxpayer-supported military newspaper Stars and Stripes, accusing them of “insubordination” amid an escalating battle over the publication’s direction.

Publisher Max Lederer, Editor-in-Chief Erik Slavin, and Middle East reporter Lara Korte were each served with separation notices and given five days to appeal, according to CBS News⁠.

The stunning shake-up comes as the Trump administration works to overhaul the military publication, drag it into the 21st century, and eliminate the “woke distractions” that have infected institutions across the federal government.

Slavin and Korte claimed they were targeted over interviews they gave to CBS News without authorization for a segment that aired in July.

Slavin told CBS that the Pentagon accused him of insubordination after he publicly declared that any effort to control the newspaper’s reporting would cross a “red line.”

“According to the notice, I am being fired for stating in a CBS interview that censorship of news for service members would constitute a red line,” Slavin said.

“The Pentagon’s public affairs office has charged me with insubordination. I stand by the principle that Stars and Stripes must remain editorially independent, as required by law and by the department’s own policies.”

During the CBS interview, Slavin described the hypothetical scenario that he said would be unacceptable.

“‘Don’t run a perfectly accurate story, run this instead. Here it is, written by the Pentagon.’ That would be a red line,” he said.

Korte, who covers the Middle East, similarly insisted that she does not work for the Pentagon—even though the outlet operates within the Department of Defense and receives millions of dollars from American taxpayers.

“I’m working for Stars and Stripes. Not for the Pentagon, not for any administration, not for any policymaker,” Korte said during the CBS segment. “I’m here to cover the military community.”

Korte later called the dismissals “a shame for the institution and service members.”

Lederer, who had led the publication for 19 years, announced earlier in the week that he planned to retire on September 30 because of what he described as “fundamental” disagreements with the Trump administration’s vision for the outlet.

The Pentagon apparently decided not to wait.

Lederer was reportedly asked to fire Slavin and Korte over their unauthorized CBS appearance but refused, according to people familiar with the dispute cited by The Washington Post⁠. He was subsequently issued his own separation notice.

White House adviser Stephen Miller defended the administration when asked about the controversy Friday.

“If anybody was fired, it was for just cause,” Miller said.

The firings follow months of tension between Pentagon officials and the newspaper’s entrenched leadership.

Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell previously announced plans to bring Stars and Stripes “into the 21st century” and refocus the outlet away from “woke distractions that syphon morale.”

Following Friday’s purge, Navy Capt. William Urban, recently appointed military deputy to the publisher, released an open letter calling for modernization while pledging that the paper would continue producing independent reporting.

Urban said the outlet must improve its digital operation, increase advertising revenue, and “embrace a culture of change.”

In other words, the taxpayer-funded publication is finally being told that the status quo is no longer acceptable.

The corporate media will predictably portray the personnel shake-up as another attack on journalism. But the Pentagon maintains that the three employees were disciplined for insubordination, not for publishing a particular story.

And now they will have five days to make their case.

Blood banks routinely screen donations for recognised infectious threats. But they are not screening for vaccine-derived spike protein, plasmid DNA or other harmful vaccine-related constituents.

So, researchers set out to investigate the possible effects blood donations from covid-vaccinated people were having on recipients. Yesterday they published a study on a preprint server describing what they found.

The study identified nine unvaccinated blood transfusion recipients who experienced serious complications, including blood clots, heart damage, multi-organ failure and death.

“This study suggests that blood donated by covid-19-vaccinated individuals may contain biologically active vaccine-derived constituents that could cause adverse clinical outcomes,” the authors wrote.

Talks Collapse – Tariffs Begin Now – A Direct and Confrontational U.S-Canada Trade War is Now a Reality

Moments ago, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered the news via his X account. Discussions between the U.S and Canada have collapsed. All trade representatives are called back home. The 50% U.S. tariffs against Canada are now in effect. A trade war begins.

First, read the statement from Prime Minister Mark Carney, with the understanding that Carney is making the first statement because the news is exceptionally bad for Canada. Worse than bad.

When the 3-day tariff pause was announced, CTH said to be cautious. When USTR Jamieson Greer and Canadian negotiator Dominic LeBlanc said the terms were “basically agreed”, again CTH said be careful.

The reason for our notes of extreme caution is because the divide between the two economies and trade policy is just too big. There was no way for both sides to close the gap without major structural economic changes within Canada. The issues are not points of friction, they are just too big and embedded within the laws of Canada that would have to change.

Banking regulations would have to change. Intellectual property and media rules, regulations and laws would have to change. Industrial policy would have to change. The Canadian energy policy would have to change. The carbon trading scheme would have to change or be removed. All of this would fall upon Canada to carry out in order to position their economy in alignment with the USA. There’s literally no way for their government to accomplish this against the backdrop of their political ideology.

That was the structural argument and point made by former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. This is also why the USMCA as a trilateral trade agreement is impossible to maintain. The only trade agreement construct possible is two clearly separate bilateral free trade agreements, one with Mexico and one with Canada.

The 50% tariffs begin tonight.

A trade war is underway.

What is fascism?

Fascism is a belief system that can be described by a set of traits - it doesn't have to have everything on the list, and in fact most versions in the world won't have everything on the list. We would say most versions will be Ultranationalist, Authoritarian, and Xenophobic. We can can also say for sure that the danger that fascist organizing poses is real and immediate because violence is essential to achieve their goals.

Fascism can be hard to define because every fascist movement is different, and the ideology itself contains many contradictory ideas. The term has also come to be used to label any idea that is authoritarian, right-wing, or even just disliked. This poses a problem for us because we think it is important to describe each movement accurately. To that end, we use a definition of fascism that is based on a cluster of traits. While each movement may not contain all these traits, we call it 'fascist' if it has a majority of these characteristics:

Ultra-nationalism, which defines the "nation" around a shared racial, ethnic, cultural, or historical identity. This excludes some members of society, and people are expected to place their allegience to the "nation" over all other identities.

Belief in, and a desire to return to, a past utopian vision of society. This may or may not have existed historically, and they believe it has been lost due to "corruption" or "degeneracy".

Scapegoating of marginalized/oppressed groups, who are blamed for causing society's problems and preventing a return to this ultra-nationalist utopia.

Advocating for, or enacting, the removal of these scapegoated groups, including by violence, genocide, and/or ethnic cleansing.

White supremacy and belief in racist, patriarchal hierarchies that place the nation over other groups, men above women, straight people over gay people, etc.

Authoritarianism, often centered around a single, charismatic leader.

Antisemitism. Antisemitism is central to many fascist ideologies, and this conspiritorial thinking about Jewish people provides the corner stone that supports many other racist ideas.

Anti-communist, anti-liberal, and anti-conservative rhetoric.

Opposition to Unions and other Organized Labor groups.

Aspiring to the complete militarization of society. This includes Paramilitary organizing and vigilantism.

I wonder if it was being called a traitor at his own rally yesterday that caused him to dictate his lies and insult laden attack on Tucker, Thomas, and I, while he flew back on the plane.

It’s also the bad polling that I’m sure he’s seen by now.

He attacks us with such vitriol because we actually are everything he claimed to be, conservative and America First, and he has proven as President that he is nothing more than a neocon puppet for Israel, corporations, big donors with special interests, and his dear friends in the Epstein class.

We never changed, Trump did.

Thomas and I have some of the most conservative America focused voting records and legislative work in the House of Representatives. We both consistently voted against funding foreign countries and foreign wars. There is nothing liberal or Democrat about us, however we gladly worked with Democrats to release the Epstein files and to our shock had to fight President Trump, who instead ordered everyone to stop us. This is why Trump now calls me a traitor because instead of bowing down to him like some false little god, I stood up and fought for women who were raped as teenagers and abused by the richest most powerful men in the world, friends of Donald Trump. I’m proud to have done it and never ever regret it.

Tucker is beloved by many Americans, so many that he is indeed a serious Presidential contender because he consistently leans in to the truth and bravely tells the stories that mainstream news refuses to cover yet most Americans are interested in. Because of Tucker’s strength and leadership, young men adore Tucker and look up to him, and they now think Trump is an old fraud.

Young people are our future and we believe in fighting for them and the important issues that help them build successful prosperous lives.

We are strongly against replacing American’s jobs with the foreign visas Trump and his admin support, their place in college that Trump ensures goes to 600,000 foreign students from China and other countries, and we are adamantly against sending off our best and brightest to be killed in war in foreign lands for foreign causes and foreign interests that does nothing for America.

But the most important thing I can tell you about us is that we are devoted Christians and Trump is not a Christian at all.

My dear friends, Tucker and Thomas both have led me in prayer to the Lord our God, in the name of His one and only son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They are my brothers in Christ.

Donald Trump never once prayed with me and only recognizes God when it’s in his staff written speeches. Most Americans don’t know what religion he is, if any, but many speculate that he is Jewish or Kabbalah if he is anything at all.

President Trump’s demeanor, name calling, absurd and reckless rhetoric is unbecoming of the office of the president, is a bad example of leadership, and is hurting America’s reputation and place in the world. At this point, he’s no different than an internet troll or one of the many millions of bots that say awful horrible things.

In the past, I supported him because of the policies he professed to support and passionately campaigned on, but now as president he’s been revealed to be the Trojan horse who enforces many of the policies he claimed to be against.

I’m sorry I didn’t see it earlier and wish I had never supported him.

My biggest concern remains that as Donald Trump loses power and influence he will turn more and more towards war and take actions to make himself feel more powerful and in control, as he grasp and clings to the Oval Office.

Hopefully I’m wrong.

Because of this, I will continue to pray for President Trump to humble himself in the eyes of the Lord and turn to God with sincere faith and repentance for his sins in order to be the president and leader that America needs.

More than 3 million illegal aliens have left the US or been deported since President Trump took office, the Department of Homeland Security has revealed.

Of those 3 million, 2.2 million have opted to self-deport through a program that allows migrants to turn themselves in via a DHS app in return for a cash stipend and free flight home.

Another 900,000 have been deported since Jan. 20, 2025, and as of this month, DHS has arrested 900,000 illegal aliens, according to agency figures.
