FBI agents confronted Eric Swalwell with a search warrant when he landed at San Francisco Airport Saturday and seized the former congressman's electronic devices including his cell phone as part of a federal criminal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct, the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal.

The agents, armed with additional court-approved search warrants, then entered his house in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, seizing additional undisclosed potential evidence, well-placed sources tell the Daily Mail.

Sources say Swalwell started his day Saturday in Washington, where he still maintains a residence with his wife and three children.

He headed to the airport later in the day and flew to his home state of California. The feds were waiting for him when he stepped off the plane.

According to sources, Swalwell was cooperative.

The following day, neither he nor his wife Brittany Watts were home when the feds rolled up to their property in Northeast DC.

Swalwell, 45, faces multiple sexual assault allegations.

At least four women have made sexual misconduct allegations, including a former staffer who claimed the married politician raped her twice when she was too intoxicated to consent in 2019 and 2024.

Another woman alleged he drugged and raped her in 2018.

Two of the women said he had sent them unsolicited pictures of his penis.

The Department of Justice launched its investigation into the disgraced former congressman in April.

Swalwell, 45, was also being investigated by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Swalwell has vehemently denied the allegation, but they nevertheless torpedoed his campaign for California governor, forcing him to drop out of a race he'd once led.

The Democrat also promptly resigned in disgrace from Congress.

He's kept a low profile ever since, including Monday when newly declassified records were released about his escapades with the Chinese spy known as 'Fang Fang.'

The White House Transparency Task Force dropped the documents, in which Swalwell admitted to the FBI that he 'occasionally hooked up' with Fang.

The Chinese national spent years cozying up to rising California Democrats, helping bundle donations for Swalwell's 2014 re-election campaign and even placing an intern in his congressional office.

Swalwell has not been accused by law enforcement of any wrongdoing in the Fang Fang scandal.

Meanwhile, he has denied any wrongdoing in connection with the sexual assault and sexual misconduct allegations. While rejecting the claims, the former lawmaker acknowledged making 'mistakes in judgment' and apologized to his wife.

While the accusations destroyed his political career and prompted calls for further investigations from both parties, the state of his 9-year-marriage remains in question.

Exclusive Daily Mail photos from May showed Watts, 41, stepping out of their DC residence without her wedding ring as her husband remained out of sight.

'Eric has been accused of horrible things. How do you live with that?' a friend of the family said at the time.

The allegations began with claims from a former staffer who alleged she was raped by Swalwell when she was too intoxicated to consent.

She told CNN that in April 2024, after a night of heavy drinking in New York City, she woke up to Swalwell having sex with her in his hotel bed.

'I was pushing him off of me, saying no,' she said, adding that it happened after she stopped working in his office. 'He didn't stop.'

At least four women have now accused the Congressman of sexual misconduct, including the former staffer.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Eric Swalwell and the Department of Justice for comment.

Democrat-aligned election officials have effectively killed a popular citizen-led ballot initiative that would have required proof of U.S. citizenship and a photo ID to vote.

Americans for Citizen Voting–Michigan submitted a staggering 709,841 signatures supporting its proposed constitutional amendment, more than 263,000 above the 446,198-signature requirement.

But the Michigan Bureau of Elections, operating under Democrat Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson, is now recommending that the petition be declared “insufficient.”

The recommendation is based on a statistical review of only 1,000 randomly selected signatures from the more than 709,000 submitted.

You can’t talk about the most anticipated video games today without mentioning GTA 6. In the past weeks, Rockstar Games has released a few details that excite its fans. One of them is the launch date, which is set for November 19, 2026. Besides, pre-orders for the game started on June 25, 2026. Furthermore, an Extended Look premiere of the game for Netflix users is also set for August 27, 2026. These details are exciting but what’s even more interesting is the new ‘It Happens on PS5’ trailer, which features GTA 6.

Sony released its latest ‘It Happens on PS5’ trailer on Monday, August 17. The 60-second promotional video features the biggest upcoming games that PS5 will support. Some of these games are Marvel’s Wolverine, God of War Laufey, and 007 First Light. In addition to these games, the ‘It Happens on PS5’ trailer also features the anticipated GTA 6 game.

One of the Grand Theft Auto VI scenes covered in the trailer is the shot of Jason and Lucia, spotted inside a car trunk. This particular scene has excited many fans. This scene initially appeared in the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI. As such, Sony isn’t necessarily giving fans an entirely new gameplay sequence. Apart from that, the trailer also covers a few clips from previous trailers rolled out by Rockstar and a live-action shot from Miami.

What makes the new ‘It Happens on PS5’ trailer (GTA 6) scenes more interesting is that it appears to be running at 60 fps. In addition, it also includes a trunk-closing sound effect, which seems to excite players even more. While this is an incredibly minor detail, GTA 6 players seem to be overly excited because of the level of anticipation they already built around this game.

As mentioned earlier, a lot of fans are overly excited about the GTA 6 scenes covered by the new ‘It Happens on PS5’ trailer. When describing how they feel, one user said: “We’re so desperate for GTA 6 marketing that a trunk closing sound is exciting.” Another user said this new ad alone has given him enough reason to purchase GTA 6 instantly. He said: “I was skeptical about this game but hearing that trunk close sound effect has sold me! Instant buy!”

However, it’s worth noting that some fans are also angry at the ad because it only contains a tiny detail. A good example is this X user, who said: “We’re really announcing a new trunk sound effect, this is getting pathetic.”

Some users also mentioned that they’re sure the trunk-closing sound effect is just a commercial sound effect. They feel the sound could have been added or edited mainly for Sony’s promotional material.
