Five years ago, thousands of Cubans took to the streets to demand a better future for themselves and their families, seeking change after decades of repression and economic incompetence by the Communist regime. True to form, the regime responded with brutality, beating peaceful demonstrators in the streets and arresting thousands of everyday Cubans. To this day, hundreds of Cubans remain unjustly detained for the simple sin of asking for basic rights, opportunities, and dignity. We reiterate our call for the immediate release of these, and all, political prisoners in Cuba.
President Trump and I want a better future for Cuba and its long-suffering people. After decades of repression and gross mismanagement, Cuba’s economy is in freefall, and its people continue to suffer blackouts, hunger, and deprivation. The United States has always supported the Cuban people with humanitarian assistance and exports of food, medicine, and critical goods. In this Administration, we have offered Cuba aid, assistance with reconstruction, and the promise of a new relationship between our two countries, if the regime will only agree to make political and economic reforms to allow the country a chance at prosperity.
Sadly, the regime and its corrupt elites continue to refuse any efforts at meaningful reform, instead continuing to prioritize perpetuating their own total control over the Cuban people, and their dogmatic adherence to their failed and morally bankrupt Marxist ideology. While the people cry out for reform, Cuba’s Communist overlords continue to consolidate economic control, steal and squirrel away overseas what few resources remain, and blame others for their failures. They continue to ally themselves with America’s enemies, presenting a serious national security threat to our nation by hosting hostile foreign military, intelligence, terror, and operations less than 100 miles from our homeland and supporting dangerous subversive and terror networks in the United States itself.
The United States will continue to use every tool at our disposal to both address the national security threats posed by the Cuban Communist regime, and to drive the economic and political reforms to give Cuba a better future.Cuba’s leaders must simply choose to commit themselves to real reforms, peace and prosperity—before it is too late.

A minor girl from Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district, who was allegedly trafficked and sexually assaulted by multiple men after she went missing for four days in June, was sold to ‘customers’ for amounts ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,800, officials investigating the case told The Indian Express. They also confirmed that the minor’s medical examination established sexual assault.
“The hotels charged different amounts depending on how the ‘customers’ looked. The rates ranged from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,800,” an official associated with the investigation said.
The girl went missing on the night of June 18 and was rescued by the Sri Ganganagar police from a hotel four days later.

“The girl is 11 years and 11 months old. She had befriended a youth from Ganganager on Instagram and had gone to meet him in Vijaynagar. After meeting him, she returned to the bus stand at night where she boarded an electric auto. The auto driver allegedly persuaded her to accompany him to a hotel. That is how the exploitation began,” the official said.
The official said the child, owing to her age and trauma, has given varying accounts of the number of accused involved.

“She doesn’t remember exactly how many men there were… she is too young. In the FIR, the number was 12. In her statement to the police, she mentioned 11, and before the court she referred to 16 men,” the official said, terming “32 men” as a “media creation.”
So far, 21 people have been arrested, while two to three accused remain absconding, officials said. Authorities have also demolished four hotels, including the three where the minor was allegedly confined between the night of June 18 and June 22.

“There were three hotels where she was kept. Police have traced the managers of all three hotels and the owners of two of them. The owner of the third hotel is absconding,” the official said.
Considering the gravity of the case, the Rajasthan Police constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the supervision of Deepak Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sri Ganganagar, and Neelam Chaudhary, Additional Superintendent of Police, Women’s Crime Investigation Cell. The SIT also included Deputy SP Kailash Dan, various station in-charges, the District Special Team, the Cyber Team, and the Forensic Science Laboratory team.
The case came to light after the minor, who had been missing for four days, was rescued by the police from a hotel in Sri Ganganagar. As reported earlier by The Indian Express, the investigation found that she was allegedly moved across three hotels between June 18 and June 22 and sexually assaulted by multiple men. Police have invoked provisions of the POCSO Act, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

Some readers may find this shocking or unkind. But it is a fact that there is no way to write about the intriguingly sudden end of the long-term US senator from South Carolina in a ‘balanced’ manner and stay honest.
Graham was an almost cartoonishly evil man and since he was also very powerful, his moral depravity made a big difference to the lives of all too many. Downplaying that fact out of misplaced piety would be perverse; it would mean to disrespect the many victims of perfidious and brutal US and, in fact, Israeli policies of vicious violence and outrageous injustice that Graham promoted with every fiber of his being for his whole political life.
During the Gaza genocide, when challenged specifically about the Israeli mass killings of civilians, including women and children, Graham launched into what can only be called a psychopathic rant comparing the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians with American warfare against Germany in Japan in World War II (an intriguing comparison in and of itself, but that is another matter) and drawing the conclusion that Gaza should be flattened, including with nuclear weapons. Gaza has been flattened, and to his dying day, Graham never showed an ounce of compassion for those slaughtered by his Israeli friends and did everything he could to support that slaughter.
That is, of course, also why internationally wanted war criminal – really genocidaire – Benjamin Netanyahu rushed to offer his public condolences.
Speaking of Graham’s obvious subservience to Israel, the senator was, unsurprisingly, also a great fan of going to war with Iran, tirelessly calling for attacking it as violently as possible. He spread the Orwellian lies that Iran was about to pose a nuclear threat to the US and that its ballistic missile arsenal was a tool of reckless aggression, all to produce domestic support for yet another criminal American war. Himself addicted to hiding his foul character behind a bigoted and utterly fake Christian piety, Graham compared Iran’s leaders to Hitler and called them “religious Nazis,” thereby not merely offending brave men towering above him in moral and intellectual terms, but also helping to drum up propaganda for murdering them.
It is an irony of history or, maybe, divine justice that he lived just long enough to see the US follow his insane and corrupt advice and suffer a geopolitically catastrophic defeat for it.
Yet Graham was a monster long before the Gaza Genocide and the US-Israeli war against Iran. He was obsessed with brutalizing as many other countries and societies as possible. He could not see an opportunity for a war and not do his worst to make it happen. Graham’s record of warmongering is so extensive that it is hard to reproduce it in its entirety. Just shortly before his end, he had been calling for more US violence in Cuba, Lebanon, Nigeria, Venezuela, and Yemen – apart, obviously, from his eternal compulsion to scream for, in effect, more dead Palestinians and Iranians.
In true American fashion, if being Graham’s target was terrible, being his ‘friend’ was no better. Ukraine has come to stand for that experience. Even while pretending to be its ardent supporter, Graham was always among those most brutally open about using Ukraine and its people for the geopolitical and commercial interests of the US. He praised opportunities to rob Ukraine of crucial raw materials and he clearly considered pumping money into its ultra-corrupt Zelensky regime a great deal as it produced dead Russians (and, he failed to mention, Ukrainians, too, of course).
There is no other way of putting it. Lindsey Graham was an infernally bad man. And he was a revolting man: his viciousness was glaringly obvious. Graham was not a complicated case, a conflicted character, a man of light and dark. He was among the closest to pure, unadulterated, and shamelessly brazen evil many of us will ever lay eyes on.

Pakistan on Sunday urged Iran and the United States to exercise restraint, take immediate steps toward de-escalation and uphold their commitments under the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, its Foreign Ministry said.
“Pakistan is following with deep concern the recent incidents that are further escalating the regional tensions,” the ministry said.
“Pakistan remains committed to providing all support towards achieving lasting peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy,” it added.

Netanyahu said Graham had urged action against Iran’s nuclear program, describing him as a fearless supporter of Israel and a critic of Tehran.
“He came to me and said, Bibi, you have to do it. You have to knock out this nuclear weapons program before they knock us out,” Netanyahu said.

US Central Command on Sunday rejected an Iranian commander’s claim that foreign vessels could not pass through the Strait of Hormuz without being identified, tracked and monitored by Iran’s forces.

It said US forces were positioned and prepared to keep the waterway open.

Just minutes after it was announced the U.S. began a new round of strikes on Iran Saturday night, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wrote on X, "Iran made a poor choice.Now they pay."

The Office of Senator Mitch McConnell has released a picture and statement intended to answer questions about the status of the Kentucky senator.However, many are questioning the content.
Personally, the accompanying image doesn’t really matter much – it is reported to be AI enhanced, but who can tell. However, the message that accompanies the picture? Well, that text is total BS and did not come from McConnell.
You can tell McConnell did not write it by the way it is written (particularly paragraph #2), and more importantly, there is no mention of condolence following Senator Lindsey Graham’s death.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released the following note to constituents regarding his hospitalization and recovery:
“To my fellow Kentuckians –
“When you elected me to a seventh term and made me our Commonwealth’s longest serving Senator, you did so trusting that I’d keep showing up to fight for you every day. And over the past several weeks, Elaine and I have appreciated both your well wishes and your honest questions about what was keeping me away from the Senate.
“You all know how folks of my generation often hesitate to share the vulnerability that comes with growing older. Even in the public eye, I feel that same instinct – I can’t help it.
“But at the same time, I’ve had more than my share of experience with physical vulnerabilities. Surviving childhood polio meant spending my entire life with mobility challenges. They haven’t exactly gotten easier to manage with age. And last month, I took a fall which landed me in the hospital.
“My doctors have confirmed that I didn’t break any bones or suffer a concussion. I didn’t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don’t have any tumors or hemorrhages. But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I’ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.
“I can assure you that I’ve been a good patient. At my age, I tend to do what my doctors tell me to do. I’ve submitted to every test they can think of to help figure out what caused this incident. And I’m continuing to do everything they ask to speed my recovery. In fact, with signs of continued progress, I’ve been able to move from hospital care to a rehabilitation center where I’ll keep regaining my strength.
“As much as it frustrates me, this process takes time. And on the advice of my doctors, I won’t be able to return to the Senate floor to vote quite yet. But rest assured that, in the meantime, I’m not taking a break from the Senate business that matters to you. I’ve been working closely with my legislative staff on current issues, and with my Kentucky team who help me provide timely constituent services across our Commonwealth. I’ve also been keeping in touch with my Senate colleagues on the appropriations process, midterm politics, and everything in between.
“You’re right to expect your representatives to work hard for you. And part of my decision to retire at the end of my term this coming January was being honest about the demands of Senate work. But I still have unfinished business to complete on your behalf, and I have every intention of finishing the job you elected me to do.
“I’ll keep working hard to get back on the Senate floor as soon as possible. And I’ll keep you posted on the progress of my recovery. Until then, I’m so grateful for your prayers and well wishes.”

“Senator McConnell has experienced several falls throughout the year that have been attributed to his post-polio condition. He was admitted to the hospital four weeks ago after falling at home and sustaining minor injuries.
“A comprehensive evaluation by a multidisciplinary team determined that he had no fractures, cardiac abnormalities, stroke, tumor, or hemorrhage. Early in his hospitalization, he developed pneumonia, which responded rapidly to antibiotic treatment.
“The remainder of his hospital stay focused on physical therapy and strategies to reduce his risk of future falls. He has been medically cleared to continue fully participating in his intensive physical therapy program.”
