Over 150 hotels are being rented out to house illegal immigrants in New York City with rooms being rented out by the city for over $350 a night for those foreign nationals who have come to the city. This comes as the border as well as immigration have been a top concern for Americans going into the last month of the election.

According to the Daily Mail, New York City has warned that around 14,000 hotel rooms will be needed until next year for illegal immigrants being housed. The total cost is expected to reach a staggering $5.76 billion. Since 2022, over 200,000 foreign nationals who have come into the US have arrived in NYC. Internet Archive hacked, data breach impacts 31 million users

Internet Archive's "The Wayback Machine" has suffered a data breach after a threat actor compromised the website and stole a user authentication database containing 31 million unique records.

News of the breach began circulating Wednesday afternoon after visitors to archive.org began seeing a JavaScript alert created by the hacker, stating that the Internet Archive was breached.

"Have you ever felt like the Internet Archive runs on sticks and is constantly on the verge of suffering a catastrophic security breach? It just happened. See 31 million of you on HIBP!," reads a JavaScript alert shown on the compromised archive.org site.

The text "HIBP" refers to is the Have I Been Pwned data breach notification service created by Troy Hunt, with whom threat actors commonly share stolen data to be added to the service.

Hunt told BleepingComputer that the threat actor shared the Internet Archive's authentication database nine days ago and it is a 6.4GB SQL file named "ia_users.sql." The database contains authentication information for registered members, including their email addresses, screen names, password change timestamps, Bcrypt-hashed passwords, and other internal data.

The most recent timestamp on the stolen records is September 28th, 2024, likely when the database was stolen.

Hunt says there are 31 million unique email addresses in the database, with many subscribed to the HIBP data breach notification service. The data will soon be added to HIBP, allowing users to enter their email and confirm if their data was exposed in this breach.

The data was confirmed to be real after Hunt contacted users listed in the databases, including cybersecurity researcher Scott Helme, who permitted BleepingComputer to share his exposed record.

https://hamexam.org/ is by far the best bare bones, no shit study resource I’ve found. It has the entire Test Question Pools for all three aforementioned levels. You can download the questions with the right answers ONLY, as well as with the distractor questions. Then you can take all the practice exams you can mentally deal with 100% FREE! Set a goal and challenge yourself. Do you think you’re going not be challenged when the SHTF? Be a Dwarf among Midgets, or a Tesla among Marconi’s. The choice it yours.

Additionally, I paid the herculean $4 for the Ham Study App, https://hamstudy.org/appstore, which is probably what got me over the finish line for all three levels. It is super easy and intuitive. Miss a question, and you’ll see it a few questions later, which reinforces your short-term memory and drills it into your long-term memory.

TESTING:

Practice makes perfect. It takes 2500 repetitions to develop true muscle memory. As I used to tell my junior troops, a bayonet can only be sharpened by Pressure, Repetition, and Proper Angle. Realize those shills that aggravate us all make us sharper, keener, and wiser? Would you ignore enemy fire during a firefight? You see enough Ostriches with our “Elected Leaders”, don’t be one yourself. You may be the next Moses who leads your people out of Egypt (Civilization) into the wilderness. Online Remote Testing: https://hamstudy.org/sessions find one of your choosing (Be Sure to Select Remote on the Buttons). After initially reviewing the above question pools, determine a target date and put it on the calendar! Technician will get you about 70% of the frequencies opened up for you. In an Emergency, then all the gloves are off! I just want you to be prepared and have working experience. Worst case, the Best is Yet to Come, and you’ll have a life-long hobby, and meet some of the most helpful and humble people in the world. The Meek.

The exam team I chose wasWM7X Test Team, which had the most options for payment. They were awesome and supportive. The Exam takes $14 and you can test for all three levels in one sitting. Study, Study, Study!!! Then pay the FCC the $35 license fee and have your Call Sign within a day or so. (At Least With This VEC Team) The license is good for 10 years, with a 2-year Grace Period. As long as you renew within this time frame (Another $35), then you’ll never have to test again. Have faith in yourself! Never fence yourselves in! RUN FREE! BE FREE! BE NOT AFRAID!
