The ruling was handed down on Friday, according to the Associated Press (AP). The outlet noted that the decision came “after officials uncovered a database error that, for two decades, mistakenly designated the voters as having access to the full ballot.” The report also said those individuals were already entitled to vote in federal races regardless of the court’s decision. The database error highlighted the problem with those voters’ citizenship statuses, Fox News reported on Friday.

Friday's IDF strike on Beirut, which killed nearly a dozen members of Hezbollah's Radwan Force senior commanders, including the unit's chief, Ibrahim Aqil, sent a message that Israel has decided to "take the gloves off" in its engagements with Hezbollah, Israel Defense and Security Forum CEO Lt. Col. (res.) Yaron Buskila told Maariv in the immediate wake of the strike.

"The strike itself in the Dahiyeh district of Beirut is essentially a statement. It doesn't matter who the target was. The fact that terrorists were struck in Beirut is a very significant message from Israel to Hezbollah," Buskila said.

He continued, "Part of the decision is that there is no intention to continue playing this symmetric game that Israel has been playing with Hezbollah so far, and Israel understands that Hezbollah can respond significantly. For Israel, there is readiness for war, and the center of gravity is shifting to northern Israel. The IDF has decided that the Northern Command will become the main arena, while Gaza will become secondary. This is not just an empty statement; it's a real, significant one, saying we are entering a campaign, even if it means entering a much tougher war."

Buskila continued, saying, "I think if Hezbollah believed that with the pager and radio attacks, Israel would stop because it didn't want escalation, the strike in the heart of Dahiyeh is a very clear message to the contrary."

He went on to say, "Iran and Hezbollah can understand that Israel is determined to move forward, and it's also a message to the Americans. The Americans don't want Israel to go into a campaign against Lebanon right now."

"They are focused on maintaining regional stability. However, we are unwilling to accept what has been. What was will not continue to be. Israel is not just saying this in words, but also in actions. We want to return our residents to their homes safely, without the threat of Hezbollah sitting right on the border."

"Israel will utilize everything at its disposal to strike Hezbollah and restore peace"

In conclusion, he said: " Negotiations have failed so far, and Hezbollah hasn’t withdrawn or reached any agreements. As a result, we are prepared to use all available force. The former command senior chief of the littoral combat ship Manchester’s gold crew pleaded guilty at a court-martial in March to charges that she installed an unauthorized Wi-Fi system aboard the ship and then lied about it to superiors, according to records obtained by Navy Times.

She was sentenced to reduction in rank to E-7 in March, according to a trial summary obtained by Navy Times.

The Story Of Sailors Secretly Installing Starlink On Their Littoral Combat Ship Is Truly Bonkers

As the Independence class Littoral Combat Ship USS Manchester plied the waters of the West Pacific in 2023, it had a totally unauthorized Starlink satellite internet antenna secretly installed on top of the ship by its gold crew’s chiefs. That antenna and associated WiFi network were set up without the knowledge of the ship’s captain, according to a fantastic Navy Times story about this absolutely bizarre scheme. It presented such a huge security risk, violating the basic tenets of operational security and cyber hygiene, that it is hard to believe.

It was all so that the chiefs on the ship’s ‘gold crew’ (the LCS alternates between two crews) could check sports scores, text home, and stream movies, investigators learned, according to Navy Times. However, that required a conspiracy involving gathering funds, purchasing the service, and installing the antenna on the 0-5 weatherdeck where it couldn’t easily be seen.

The chief who set up the WiFi network, dubbed “STINKY,” definitely knew better. Then-Command Senior Chief Grisel Marrero’s “background is in Navy intelligence, and she earned a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in information security and digital management, according to her biography,” Navy Times noted. She was later convicted at court-martial earlier this year on charges related to the scheme.

“The installation and usage of Starlink, without the approval of higher headquarters, poses a serious risk to mission, operational security, and information security,” according to a scathing Navy investigation into the matter obtained by Navy Times. “The danger such systems pose to the crew, the ship, and the Navy cannot be understated.”

The Manchester chiefs’ Starlink network was “a direct violation of emissions control regulations on board a ship,” Jerry Hendrix, a retired Navy captain and Senior Fellow at the Sagamore Institute explained to The War Zone. “As such you could present a critical vulnerability in that it would make the ship more detectable by offboard sensors.”

Having a clandestine communications system onboard could have served as a beacon for adversary signals intelligence collectors, potentially allowing them to pinpoint the Manchester’s location. It could also have served as a portal for cyber attacks and as a vacuum for unsecured data transmitted over the network. Even seemingly mundane personal information about military service members unrelated to their work can be of great interest to foreign intelligence services for various malign purposes.

Harris agreed to CNN’s invitation for a second debate with Trump on October 23, but it seems no one ran this by the former president. At his latest campaign rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, Trump made it clear that he has no intention of stepping on stage with Harris again.

In typical Trump fashion, he didn’t hold back, revealing several reasons for his refusal: Harris is losing badly, two debates have already been completed, voting is underway, and CNN is unlikely to be fair. The latter two reasons stood out—voters are already casting their ballots, and CNN, criticized by the radical left for being too fair in past debates, won’t risk being fair again.

TRUMP’S FULL STATEMENT:

TRUMP: “Kamala and her group have seen what’s happening to their campaign, and it’s not going well for them. And it was announced just a little while ago that they would like to do another debate.”

Trump made it clear: Harris has already had her chances, and at this stage in the game, another debate is pointless. With that, the September 10 debate will likely stand as the final showdown between the two, leaving Harris with no choice but to face the reality of her sinking campaign.

SPRINGFIELD, OH — Ohio residents and foodies were in for a treat last week when Martha's Mashup Diner 'N Dive released its autumn menu, featuring the brand-new Pumpkin Spice Cat dish as its pièce de résistance.
