Teen Vogue has published an article promoting mutilating minors in the name of “gender affirmation.”

Teen Vogue is a website and magazine targeted for children as young as 12.

The article from Kaiyti Duffy, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer of the Los Angeles LGBT Center, begins by shaming the New York Times for daring to publish an article that questioned if there are long term side effects to puberty blockers.

“In the midst of Transgender Awareness Week, and just before a gunman killed five in a shooting at a popular LGBTQ bar in Colorado, The New York Times published an unfortunate piece about gender-affirming care,” the doctor’s article began. “The headline posed a question: ‘They Paused Puberty, But Is There A Cost?’ Immediately, transgender people, queer activists, and LGBTQ-affirming medical providers like myself braced for the inevitable: Another piece questioning trans health and the community’s seemingly endless pursuit for equitable medical care.”

Questioning the safety of potentially sterilizing a minor, you see, is off limits in the “woke” crowd — especially the woke doctors who are making a fortune.

Duffy acknowledged that the pills could lead to low bone density but claimed that it is considered “safe” anyways because there is a possibility that a person claiming to be trans might commit suicide without them.

“At this moment, at least 20 states are considering bans regarding the provision of medically necessary, life-saving gender-affirming care for trans youth,” the doctor wrote. “These legislative assaults are not being waged out of concern for trans and gender diverse youth and their families. This is not about the bone health of these young people. These efforts are rooted in transphobia and anti-LGBTQ sentiments and I’m saddened that the New York Times failed to call this out. If the assault against gender-affirming care persists, we may soon be unable to pause puberty. Without question, this would come at a steep cost to young trans and gender diverse people. Their lives are literally on the line. Where is the New York Times story about that?”

The magazine for teenagers frequently pushes the boundaries of extremist politics and sexual degeneracy to minors.

In November 2021, Teen Vogue published an article demanding that “White women have to answer for backing the Republican nominee yet again.”

In 2019, Teen Vogue faced backlash for an op-ed, titled ‘Why Sex Work is Real Work‘ from people across the political spectrum. Written by Tlaleng Mofokeng, founder of an organization called Nalane for Reproductive Justice, the article calls for prostitution to be decriminalized and for children to “fund public campaigns to decrease stigma.”

“The clients who seek sex workers vary, and they’re not just men. The idea of purchasing intimacy and paying for the services can be affirming for many people who need human connection, friendship, and emotional support. Some people may have fantasies and kink preferences that they are able to fulfill with the services of a sex worker,” the article, aimed at children as young as 13, states.

The hyper-political and extremely far-left magazine also published a lengthy article in 2018 glorifying abortion and calling for colleges to offer the procedure on campuses. One of the women featured described how she “wants the world to know how much relief and joy her ability to get an abortion has brought her.”

House Democrats on Wednesday elected the New York congressman Hakeem Jeffries as their new leader, making him the first Black American to lead a major political party in Congress after Nancy Pelosi, the current speaker, announced that she was stepping aside to pave the way for a new generation.

Jeffries, 52, will assume the role of minority leader when the new Congress is sworn in early next year, inheriting the position held for nearly two decades by Pelosi, a towering figure in Democratic politics who was the first woman speaker.

In a show of unity after losing the House but delivering a stronger-than-expected performance in the midterm elections, Democrats unanimously approved Jeffries and two other top leadership positions by acclamation.

Emerging from the closed-door meeting room, the soon-to-be leader declared: “House Democrats fight for the people. That’s our story. That’s our legacy. That’s our values. That’s our commitment.”

The trio of top leaders led by Jeffries will include the Massachusetts congresswoman Katherine Clark, 59, as whip and Pete Aguilar of California, 43, as caucus chair, in charge of messaging. They will take the mantle from three octogenarians: Pelosi and her long-serving deputies, Steny Hoyer of Maryland (majority leader) and James Clyburn, the whip from South Carolina.

“Today is a day of transition and hope and a renewal of the shared values of our caucus,” Clark told reporters.

Hailing the Democratic caucus as a “beautiful mosaic of the country”, Aguilar acknowledged the significance of being a Latino in a leadership role.

On Tuesday, House Democrats granted Pelosi the honorific title of “speaker emerita”. Clyburn, now the highest-ranking Black member of Congress, intends to remain as assistant leader to help with the transition. That election, and votes for other leadership posts, will take place on Thursday.

Jeffries is a former lawyer who represents a diverse district in Brooklyn and Queens once represented by Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman to serve in Congress. He is known on Capitol Hill as a disciplined tactician with a measured style and a penchant for pop culture references.

In remarks to reporters on Wednesday, Jeffries traced his ascent from the Brooklyn hospital where he was born, the son of a caseworker and a social worker. Moved by what he described as a desire to “advance the ball for everyday Americans”, he first won election to the New York state assembly, where he sat for six years.

Some progressives view Jeffries skeptically as a business-friendly centrist but such concerns were not raised on Wednesday. The vote was a jovial affair, celebrated with “handshakes, high fives and hugs”, Aguilar said.

Pramila Jayapal of Washington state, chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said: “With this new generation of leadership, House Democrats are well positioned to enter the 118th Congress and confront the challenges ahead.”

Jayapal also noted that House Democrats’ top three leaders would for the first time be entirely “women or people of color”.

In his own statement, Hoyer called Jeffries “a skilled consensus-builder, effective legislator, and experienced leader … well equipped to … deliver further results for the people during the 118th Congress and retake the majority in 2024.”

COMPTON, Calif. – On November 29, 2022, Compton Station Patrol Deputies received a call for service and made a narcotics related arrest in connection with a residence in the 100 block of South Willow Avenue, Compton. Narcotics Bureau Detectives were notified and responded to the location.

Narcotics Bureau Detectives authored and executed a search warrant at the location with the assistance of the Community Partnerships Bureau (CPB) Crime Impact Team (CIT).

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately 5.5 pounds of suspected tar heroin, 10 kilos of suspected powder cocaine, 6 kilos of suspected powder fentanyl, 6,000 suspected ecstasy pills containing fentanyl, 4,000 multi-colored suspected fentanyl pills and 250,000 suspected fentanyl pills with a combined estimated street value of $4,172,500.

One male juvenile and one male adult were arrested/detained in connection with the above seized narcotics and were charged with multiple felony charges.

The House of Representatives on Wednesday voted to approve a bill to block a potentially crippling US rail strike – but also to mandate paid sick time for the workers.

In the US Senate, Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent who caucuses with Democrats, announced that he would object to fast-tracking Joe Biden’s proposal that Congress impose an industrial settlement, until he can get a roll-call vote on the amendment that would guarantee seven paid sick days for rail workers.

The House voted 290-137 to impose a tentative contract deal that had been reached in September, but which four key unions had refused to join, on a dozen unions representing 115,000 workers.

The US president, who built a reputation on being pro-labor and put himself at loggerheads with the unions after asking Congress to avert a strike, had warned of the catastrophic impact of a rail stoppage that could begin as early as 9 December and could cost the US economy about $2bn a day by some estimates, with chaos hitting freight and passenger traffic.

On Tuesday, the House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, indicated they would attempt to push through a bill to impose the settlement, albeit expressing reluctance.

Workers expressed dismay at the stance of Biden and his administration.

Railroad companies and the US Chamber of Commerce oppose amending the contract deal that was struck in September largely on the recommendations of an emergency board appointed by Biden.

Moscow names condition for resuming arms control talks with US

Washington must stop arming Kiev first, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman says

Russia sees no possibility of resuming talks with Washington on the cornerstone New START arms control treatywhile the US continues to arm Ukraine, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.

Speaking in a live interview on radio Sputnik, Maria Zakharova said: “The US intends to supply even more weapons to the conflict region, in which the Russian Federation is directly involved. That is, they will supply all these weapons, they will encourage the Kiev regime to cause even more bloodshed, they will allocate money for extremist activities that are carried out under the auspices of these delusional people [in the Ukrainian presidency], and we will sit with them at the same table and discuss issues of mutual security with them, including those in their interest?"

The spokeswoman stressed that Moscow values the New START agreement, as it serves the best interests of both Russia and the US, adding that the necessary conditions must be met before talks can be resumed.

Russian and American diplomats were set to meet in Cairo on Tuesday for a new round of talks on prolonging the deal, set to expire in early 2026. The meeting, however, was called off shortly before it was set to happen, with no new date announced.

“The event is being postponed to a later date,”the Russian Foreign Ministry told RT on Monday. Meanwhile, CNN has quoted the US State Department as saying Washington was ready to hold talks at the earliest possible date, and considered that “resuming nuclear inspections under the New START treaty is a priority.”

New START, signed back in 2010, is effectively the last arms control agreement between the two major nuclear powers following Washington’s unilateral withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty in 2019. The pact limits the number of nuclear warheads that the US and Russia can possess, and restricts the number of deployed silo-based intercontinental ballistic missiles, submarine-launched ballistic missiles, and nuclear bombers. The total number of strategic nuclear delivery vehicles must not exceed 800.

Russia suspended the inspection regime under the treaty back in August, blaming the move on Western sanctions that had prevented Russian inspectors from doing their work in the US and giving Washington an unfair advantage. Moscow said the inspection could resume only when the principles of parity and equality were restored.

Russian troops advance in Donbass – Defense Ministry

The military has pushed Ukrainian forces from multiple locations in the region, Moscow claims

The Russian military reported new advances in the north of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on Wednesday. Multiple locations have been liberated on the outskirts of the town of Bakhmut, a major stronghold held by Ukrainian forces, which has seen intense fighting in recent weeks.

"On the Donetsk axis, the settlements of Belogorovka and Pershe Travnya of the Donetsk People’s Republic were completely liberated during offensive actions [by] Russian troops," the Defense Ministry said in its daily briefing, adding that "up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, four armored combat vehicles, three self-propelled artillery units and six soft vehicles were destroyed."

The village of Belogorovka is a small settlement located some 20 kilometers northeast of Bakhmut. The second settlement mentioned in the briefing is, presumably, the village of Ozaryanovka, located about 12 kilometers south of the town. It was known by the name Pershe Travnya before 2016, but was then renamed under Kiev's ‘decommunization’ efforts.

Later in the day, the Defense Ministry announced the liberation of Andreevka, a village five kilometers north of Ozaryanovka. The acting head of DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that troops have entered the adjacent village of Kurdyumovka. The settlements are located on an important supply route, crucial for the Ukrainian garrison of Bakhmut, he explained, referring to the town by its pre-‘decommunization’ name – Artemovsk.

"These settlements are extremely important because, after sweeping up Kurdyumovka, where the enemy is still resisting, [the troops] will reach the Artemovsk highway, severing the supply routes of the primary Ukrainian battlegroup," Pushilin told broadcaster Rossiya-24.

Emails: Biden Admin Appointee Was Partner in Biden Family Business

Current Biden administration appointee John Nevergole was a partner in Biden family business activities in Western Africa before joining the administration on the Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa (PAC-DBIA), emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop show.

Nevergole, given the administration post by Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo on July 14, was previously a business partner of Hunter through the Biden family’s now-defunct investment firm that conducted business in Africa.

Nevergole is the co-founder and CEO of the project development firm ABD Group. During his time with ABD Group, he was simultaneously working with Hunter’s Rosemont Seneca Advisors as a senior advisor since 2012, introducing the Biden family business to key contacts in China, Africa, and Latin America, according to emails verified by Fox News.

Nevergole and Hunter’s association with Rosemont Seneca likely began as early as 2011. Their business relationship recorded in Nevergole’s ABD bio remained until 2019 when it was erased one year before President Joe Biden assumed the White House.

It appears Nevergole had requested Hunter’s company provide him a slot retainer fee of 70/30 to broker lucrative deals between Rosemont and Brazilian construction giant OAS. Nevergole’s business relationship included projects concerning national gas, and related projects in Latin America, along with China and Africa.

Emails in 2015 show Nevergole offered Hunter’s business partner, Eric Schwerin, advice to provide Hunter before his planned visit to China.

“In terms of Hunter’s trip to China I would say one immediate thing is if there are any large firms, typically the state owned construction companies, that they know who we should try to meet when we go to China,” Nevergole wrote. “These groups generally bring funding from China Exim to fund the African government on a project to be done by the China state owned construction firm.”

“For example this is what we are doing with CACC (China Airport Construction Corppration) and what we do with Samsung with Kexim money,” Nevergole continued. “They work with us to put the deal together in Africa.”

In January 2017, a few months after Joe Biden left the White House as vice president, Nevergole’s company, ABD, held a 30 percent interest in “six energy, infrastructure and healthcare projects in Western Africa,” an email from Schwerin to Hunter reads.

After Joe Biden assumed office in November 2021, Nevergole’s ABD signed a preliminary business deal with Senegal’s government-run infrastructure company, Ageroute, to “develop, finance, and construct two bridges to ensure trade between Senegal and its neighbors remains easily accessible.”

Fire at Russian oil depot near Ukrainian border

The blaze spread over 1,800 square meters in Bryansk Region

A huge blaze has broken out at a Russian oil depot on Wednesday morning in the southwestern region of Bryansk, some 70 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. A media report suggests that a drone may have been involved in the incident.

The fire in the Surazh district was reported by regional governor, Aleksandr Bogomaz, on his official Telegram channel at 6:00 am local time. He said that the blaze had spread to an area of 1,800 square meters. Russia’s Emergency Services dispatched over 80 firefighters and equipment, including a fire train, to the scene.

By 9:30 am the fire had been localized and was completely extinguished an hour later. No casualties have been reported.

An unnamed source within Russia’s emergency services told the Izvestiya news outlet that the fire may have been caused by an unidentified explosive munition dropped from a drone. The source claimed that before the fire broke out there were reports of a loud bang.

It’s reported that the five-thousand-ton oil storage facility was completely full at the time of the incident and the blaze later spread to another two nearby reservoirs of a similar capacity.

No official reason for the incident has yet been announced, but federal investigators have been dispatched to the area, according to the governor. He also reported that shelling by Kiev forces had caused blackouts in the Suzemsky district, which is just 10 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Russian territories neighboring Ukraine, such as the Bryansk and Belgorod Regions have repeatedly come under attack since Moscow launched its military offensive against its neighbor in late February.

Earlier this month, a Ukrainian drone attacked another oil terminal in Russia’s Oryol Region, some 200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Russian regions neighboring Ukraine were placed on heightened alert last month. The move gives local officials additional authority to ensure security and react rapidly to any emergencies.

Due to its amphiphilic property, graphene oxide (GO) can achieve a variety of nanostructures with different morphologies (for example membranes, hydrogel, crumpled particles, hollow spheres, sack-cargo particles, Pickering emulsions, and so on) by self-assembly. The self-assembly is mostly derived from the self-concentration of GO sheets at various interfaces, including liquid-air, liquid-liquid and liquid-solid interfaces. This paper gives a comprehensive review of these assembly phenomena of GO at the three types of interfaces, the derived interfacial self-assembly techniques, and the as-obtained assembled materials and their properties. The interfacial self-assembly of GO, enabled by its fantastic features including the amphiphilicity, the negatively charged nature, abundant oxygen-containing groups and two-dimensional flexibility, is highlighted as an easy and well-controlled strategy for the design and preparation of functionalized carbon materials, and the use of self-assembly for uniform hybridization is addressed for preparing hybrid carbon materials with various functions. A number of new exciting and potential applications are also presented for the assembled GO-based materials. This contribution concludes with some personal perspectives on future challenges before interfacial self-assembly may become a major strategy for the application-targeted design and preparation of functionalized carbon materials.
