Tesla Surmounts Supply Chain Woes With Record Quarterly Deliveries

By Hyunjoo Jin and Nivedita Balu, Jan 2 (Reuters) – Tesla Inc on Sunday reported record quarterly deliveries that far exceeded Wall Street estimates, riding out global chip shortages as it ramped up China production.
It was the sixth consecutive quarter that the world’s most valuable automaker posted record deliveries.
Tesla, led by billionaire CEO Elon Musk, delivered 308,600 vehicles in the fourth quarter, far higher than analysts’ forecasts of 263,026 vehicles.
Tesla’s October-December deliveries were up about 70% from a year earlier and nearly 30% higher from record deliveries the preceding quarter.
“Great work by Tesla team worldwide!” Musk wrote on Twitter.
His electric car company ramped up production in China even though competition rose and regulatory pressure mounted following consumer complaints over product safety.
Tesla ships China-made models to Europe and some Asian countries.
On an annual basis, the automaker boosted its deliveries by 87% from a year earlier to 936,172 vehicles in 2021.
Musk said in October last year that Tesla will be able to maintain an annual growth rate of more than 50% for “quite a while.”
NEW FACTORIES
“They have beaten all the odds,” Gene Munster, managing partner at venture capital firm Loup Ventures, said on Sunday.
“The first is the demand for their products is through the roof. And the second is they’re doing a great job of meeting that demand,” he said.
Munster said he expected Tesla’s deliveries to grow to 1.3 million vehicles this year despite headwinds in production at its new factories and supply chain problems.
Tesla Chief Financial Officer Zachary Kirkhorn said in October that it was difficult to predict how quickly the company will be able to boost production at new factories in Texas and Berlin, which will use new vehicle technologies and new teams.
Tesla said in October that it aimed to build its first production cars at both facilities by the end of 2021, but it is not known whether it met that target. Tesla did not respond to a question from Reuters about the plants. Its Berlin factory had initially been scheduled to begin production last summer.
Deutsche Bank said in a report on Friday that it expected Tesla to make nearly 1.5 million vehicle deliveries this year, although chip shortages remain a risk to production.
‘SUPER CRAZY’ SHORTAGES
In 2020, automakers cut chip orders as the pandemic and lockdown measures hit demand. But Tesla never reduced its production forecast with suppliers to support its rapid growth plan, which helped it weather the chip shortage, Musk has said.
Tesla, which designs some chips in-house unlike most automakers, also reprogrammed software to use less scarce chips, according to Musk.
Musk, who previously said, “2021 has been the year of super crazy supply chain shortages,” said in October that he was optimistic that those issues would pass in 2022.
The strong sales came even after Tesla hiked U.S. vehicle prices sharply this year to offset higher supply chain costs.
Tesla hit over $1 trillion in market capitalization in October after rental car company Hertz said it ordered 100,000 of its vehicles. The company’s shares lost some ground after Musk wrote on Twitter in November that he was considering selling 10% of his stake in Tesla.
Overall, Tesla shares gained 50% last year.

Though some close friends may have known Betty's health was declining, TMZ claimed that she did not have any illnesses and was reportedly not battling any particular ailment.
The Lake Placid actress is believed to have died from natural causes.
The actress' agent and friend Jeff Witjas said in a statement to PEOPLE: "Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever.

Police were seen leaving Betty White's house just hours after she died on New Year's Eve.
Sources told TMZ that the iconic star passed away at her home on the morning of New Year's Eve.
The source added that she didn't have any illnesses and she was not battling any particular ailment. It is believed she died from natural causes.
It's not clear why the police reported to the property.

These bombers were symbols of American firepower, creativity, and engineering.
Update: the captain of one of the B-2 bombers flying yesterday is the grandson of Ohio State football legend Hopalong Cassady.

Britain’s Prince Andrew faces a crucial week in his fight against a sexual assault lawsuit brought in New York by a long-time accuser of late financier Jeffrey Epstein and his one-time partner Ghislaine Maxwell.
The release of a legal settlement on Monday and oral arguments in the case on Tuesday come after socialite Maxwell was convicted last week of sex trafficking minors for Epstein.
Virginia Giuffre alleges that Epstein, a money manager who killed himself while awaiting trial in 2019, lent her out for sex with his wealthy and powerful associates, including Andrew.
She has sued the British royal for unspecified damages, alleging he sexually assaulted her in 2001 when she was 17 and a minor under American law.
The 61-year-old Andrew, Queen Elizabeth’s second son, has not been criminally charged and has repeatedly and strenuously denied the allegations.
A 2009 settlement between Epstein and Giuffre is due to be made public by a New York court on Monday.
Andrew’s lawyers have claimed that the agreement protects the prince and others from being sued by Giuffre.
They hope it will be sufficient grounds for a judge to dismiss her lawsuit against the royal.
On Tuesday, New York judge Lewis Kaplan will hear oral arguments on whether to throw out the suit. The hearing will be held via videoconference.
Attempts by Andrew’s lawyers to halt progression of the lawsuit on the grounds that Giuffre now lives in Australia were rejected by Kaplan on Friday.
The day before, Giuffre’s lawyers demanded that Andrew hand over medical records proving that he is unable to sweat.
In a disastrous 2019 interview with the BBC, the royal denied Giuffre’s claim that they had shared a sweaty dance at a London nightclub, saying that at the time he could not sweat due to a condition related to having fought in the 1982 Falklands War.
The legal developments come as Andrew finds himself under fresh pressure after his friend Maxwell was found guilty on Wednesday of recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein to abuse.
She faces life behind bars after being convicted by New York jurors of five of the six counts she faced following a high-profile month-long trial.
Giuffre says Prince Andrew assaulted her at Epstein’s home in New York, and on his private island in the US Virgin Islands.
She alleges that Andrew also sexually abused her at the London home of Maxwell, who introduced the royal to Epstein in the early 1990s.
Epstein died in a Manhattan jail in 2019 after being charged with child sex trafficking charges, in what New York’s coroner ruled was a suicide.
Andrew has rarely been seen in public since he was forced to quit the royal frontline later that year for failing to distance himself from the disgraced financier.
Kaplan said in November that Giuffre’s lawsuit against Andrew could go before a New York jury towards the end of 2022.

Here are two screencaps from a video that shows a walk across the Jubilee footbridge toward The Corinthia Hotel and down to the street level.
The first cap shows a fairly close Q match for a small portion of the open source video's image. I think this comparison reaffirms previous attempts at positioning the Q camera relative to another small portion of CH3.
Note items A, B, C that show posts relative to the features of the corner of the hotel. Compare with the screencap. Fairly close, yes?
The second screencap of this video was captured several feet behind the first screencap and shows the position of the camera when the first screencap image was captured. I estimate the position is very near the man encircled in red. The x marks the spot.
That would place the Q camera on the street level in front of the green Cabbie Shelter at the foot of the Jubilee Bridge.
The focal length is different but the basic geometry seems to match well. Will prepare a short clip of the bridge crossing from that video” (end)

In the most recent set of posts, I argued from widely accepted evidence to the conclusion that James Comey is a straight-up white hat.
In short, the crucial fact is that he threw the 2016 election to Trump.
All the "negatives" on him are either misdirection for the enemy or signs that he is a "Judas goat".
(I haven't used that term before, but I'm taking it from the last installment of Patel Patriot's Devolution series, which argued that we must conclude that the white hats have long had Judas goasts embedded in the enemy camp. I think Comey is one of them.)
Comey was a leader in Russiagate, the enemy's major counterattack against Trump.
It was a disaster for them.
(Yes, we took some losses, but THIS IS NOT A GAME.)
Now I will start looking at subtle clues from Q, Comey and perhaps others pointing to Comey as a white hat.
Here I will focus on his two books, A Higher Loyalty and Saving Justice.
In this particular post I want to draw attention to a number of themes that appear in the two books.
(I'm skipping page references as I am trying to convey this in the most intuitive manner possible. If you find this plausible, read the books or review my other posts.)
First, Comey makes a point of displaying particular concern for the fact that people are treated equally by the justice system regardless of their social status.
He devotes attention both to the Martha Stewart insider trading case and the case of Richmond Mayor Leonidas Young.
Anons know that Martha Stewart did the time.
The Richmond case involved the mayor (also a preacher) who had some "side honeys", but needed some medical help to "perform" with them.
He engaged in some financial chicanery and embroiled one of his church assistants in it.
That guy did some stuff to help his pastor conceal the transactions and then lied to the feds about it.
Comey put him in jail.
Likewise, even though he admitted that he once added basil to his turkey due to Martha's advice, he put her in jail.
The charge in both cases was lying to the feds.
Comey makes the point that making the case in white-collar financial crimes often involves proving intent, which is quite hard.
But it is much easer to prove that someone lied (if they did).
He says that in our day, many people don't believe that God will punish them, and so they will try to get away with crime by lying.
And so, Comey says, when they get caught in the lie, the judicial system needs to make them pay the price.
And that goes whether they are a rich celebrity or someone just trying to "help" a friend.
Here is the obvious question: didn't Hillary get "special treatment"?
Why does Comey focus on these topics?
Next, Comey highlights prominent people who got hit with charges relating to classified information.
Scooter Libby (Bush guy) got charged with exposing CIA agent Valerie Plame.
Sandy Berger (Clinton guy) got charged with mishandling classified documents at the National Archives.
David Petraeus (potential presidential candidate) got charged with giving classified info to his mistress.
They all got convicted.
Obviously, these cases are different and each is politically charged in its own way.
My point relates to Comey's discussion of these cases.
Hillary was neither charged nor convicted.
So why does Comey mention this stuff?

Next, Comey discusses how he got his start in the DOJ by working for Rudy Guiliani.
Yes, he criticizes Guiliani for sometimes hogging the limelight, but... anons know.

He discusses how he got his start with Hillary by investigating the Vince Foster case.
Vince Foster, anons recall, was a presumed Arkancide.
He also discusses how he was involved in the investigation of Marc Rich.
The details of the Marc Rich case likely elude even some of the most devoted anons.
I admit I didn't have a grasp of how bad this was until years afterwards (until I was well into Q...).
It is fascinating stuff, and the more you look into Marc Rich, the more you will see just how bad the Clintons really are.
The short story is that Marc Rich was a very, very bad guy devoted to facilitating financial transactions among the vermin of the world.
But Bill Clinton pardoned him in the final minutes of his presidency.
Comey tells how, prior to that, he had been part of a team that flew to Switzerland to try to negotiate his surrender.
That means Comey must know how bad Marc Rich was.
So why is he drawing attention to this, or related topics?
Next, there are a couple of times where Comey seems to take particular pleasure in telling how he "broke the rules".
He pretends to be quite flumoxxed, but...
I'll just leave it at that... read the books and find them.
Here's the kicker.
He chastises Robert Mueller for saying in his infamous report that he is not exonerating Trump.
Comey RIGHTLY points out that it is in NO WAY WHATSOOEVER the duty of Mueller to exonerate Trump.
Trump is PRESUMED INNOCENT.
But, but, but... didn't Comey in his 5 July 2016 remarks not only fail to "exonerate" Hillary, but pretty much say she was outright GUILTY?
(Even if he admitted that a reasonable prosecutor would refrain from charging her?)
Comey is rebuking Mueller for doing a lesser version of what he himself did QUITE NOTORIOUSLY.
Did Comey "accidentally" make Hillary lose?
Was he "forced" to screw Hillary?
Or is famefag Comey drawing attention to his greatest achievement? (Because he is on the white hat team?)

(This is a re-post of a study by a UK anon using lamp and signal poles to line up where position(s) of the Embankment pics were taken.)
The EMB-CH pics have varying vantage points. So there is a range of camera 'movement' within the set.
First draft of a pair of infographics for figuring the location of the camera for the EMB and CH PICs. The following is a walk through, which over-explains because of the weaknesses in the graphics so far. Will adjust with feedback.
SV MAY 2012 provides best open source view of lamp posts, sign posts, and other landmarks without traffic in the way. With these images can come fairly close to a Q match on the ground. Not so much on the bridge. That's ok because can line up the landmarks very close to how they line up in the Q pics. And can move about up and down the streets to doublecheck details. As I write this am thinking of a simple vid to illustrate. For now this pair of graphics shows the approximate location beneath the Q vantage point on the bridge. And, as a further reference, the second graphic shows the reverse view, looking back at that position.
The key marker on the ground is the differently colour pedestrian crosswalk across Northumberland on the hotel side of Victoria Embankment. Perhaps ironically, on the ground at that corner are the words Look Right with an arrow pointing in the direction that one would need to move the SV vantage point so as to more closely match the Q vantage points. Kek.
Another marker is the stop line on that side of Northumberland at the junction. It can be 'extended' toward the ground entrance to the bridge's elevator and thus extrapolated upward to the footbridge level. In this way it becomes evident that the traffic camera is too far away to be the Q vanatage point, or range as per the way this was figured and illustrated.
The set of pics of the junction and of CH show movement in the camera position. Some slight and some quite a lot. Obviously, LISAMI6 and CH3 show the greatest difference in positioning of the camera or cameras. Later will illustrate the CH pics and how the camera position for those actually extended the range within which that camera movement took place. For now, the red shaded areas show the estimated range for the set of pics.
Here is a guide to the pair of infographics on the bridge vantage point.
A. The roadside monument lines up with The Eye, almost. The camera position is off by a few steps. Given the close matches with other landmarks, this is a fair Q match.
The red arrows indicate the direction in which the vantage would need to change to even more closely match the London Pics. How much change remains an open question, natch, hence the range shown. The takeaway is that this range's boundary is several steps away from the post on which the traffic camera is perched.
B. Lamp posts line up almost 'on top of each other' with the foremost obscuring that behind, farther up the kerbside.
C. The gap between the post and the concrete edging or base under the fence at Whitehall Gardens is the marker. The positioning is very close to a match.
D. The white sign on the fence is rectangular, long side on the horizontal. The lampost intersects at about the middle of the length of that sign, in the Q pics, but is off a step or two in the best matching SV image. Again, the red arrow points in the direction for the needed correction in vantage.
The RED bracket shows the range of camera movement; and the white bendy arrow shows where the camera position would have been, just off frame in this SV image; the position would have been overhead on the footbridge. A vid would illustrate this notion more clearly than text description. The stop line on the road is highlighted in yellow.
These markers can be compared with the second infographic. Throwing in a third image that shows the camera position on the ground level. Later will do same for the CH pics. (End)

(A re-post of some splendid work being done by a UK anon. Has a keeper graphic showing all picture positions to put in your pocket for future reference too.)
Here's an SV MAY 2012 image marked up with the approximate camera positions for the London Pics that featured The Corinthia Hotel.
Also, here is a closeup cropped from a vidcap whch showed the view of the CH from about the 2nd step above the 2nd landing as figured from people walking up the steps beside the camera which was descending. Fairly close Q match of the posts at corner of CH.
And a vidcap from the point of view of camera climbing the same steps. The 2nd step of the 2nd landing is marked in yellow.
The vidcaps are from recordings made within last couple of years. Thot anons would find interesting now while waiting for the vid snippets.

And that makes no sense. I know a few pharmacists that said that, despite knowing that it's experimental bs. And this excuse doesn't make sense when they know it's experimental BS, because they risk dying or getting severely ill.
In any case, if something bad happens to these, they ALSO have themselves to blame.
I don't say they are the only ones to blame, but they are not innocent.
The only ones that I think are not to blame at all are elderly (especially ones in so called care homes, which are possibly drugged already anyway) and children, plus maybe drugged patients in some hospital or mental asylum. Children are getting tortured and parents and so called teachers are fine with it. That's completely sick.
And in the latter case I think teachers are the most to get blamed. You should expect (no I don't) teachers to be able to critically think, or think at all.
No, they don't even read the leaflet that comes with the tests. No, stick it up your nose little Jimmie. What? Your nose is bleeding? You need to stick it up harder.
And wtf is wrong with parents these days.
Some take their children off these mental asylums, those are the only parents that are actually parents. Fuck.
