This is the Merck scientist awarded the Nobel prize for discovering ivermectin. Very dignified man.

NOTES:

Wants to call attn to the idea of simplicity of science thru this lecture on ivermectin. Simplicity is widely celebrated in science as a matter of beauty, but wants to talk about it today as a matter of practicality.

The drug IVM was brought about by simple science. Started with a liquid fed to a mouse w/worms in 1975 - in a few days, the mouse was free of worms.

Led to development of IVM.

Works on immature worms, not mature ones. In the case of heartworm, this is good. Killing the end of the adult heartworm is bad for a dog. Used prophylactically to PREVENT heartworm. Active against pre-adult phase. Used once a month for prevention of heartworm in dogs.

Good for larvae of a parasite in horses, so he used it against a similar species in cattle.

What was it good for in humans?

River blindness - caused by a similar species of parasite.

Used against the early stages of river blindness in Senegal with success. Killed with baby worms - had to be cautious bc there was evidence that it could be dangerous to kill those tiny worms. But no problem. Kill the larvae and you solve the problem - it's the OFFSPRING to the worms that causes river blindness.

Merck said it would donate the drug for river blindness, so attracted a lot of interest from the WHO, the World Bank, and other groups. Many were involved in this process, including Jimmy Carter.

IVM made a huge difference in treatment of river blindness. Dr Roy Vagelos - decided it would be donated.

IVM will prevent river blindness; it will not cure it.

Warns against the hazards of indiscriminate use of any chemical - may have unforeseen consequences. Talks about the possibility of anti-parasitic vaccines.

How do we improve global health? Solutions are sometimes to be found in science that is simple.

Michigan Police Are Hunting Down Elections Official Who Refused Corrupt, Soros-Backed Secretary of State’s Order to Destroy 2020 Election Evidence

The world is upside down. Michigan’s corrupt Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, walks free, after certifying a corrupt and fraudulent election, while an elections worker who opposed Benson’s efforts to delete 2020 Election evidence is sought after by the police.

A far-left report coming out of Michigan paints an election worker in the state as a wild QAnon conspirator who has stolen election material from the state.

Michigan State Police are investigating the disappearance of voting equipment from a rural township after a clerk who promoted conspiracy theories was stripped of her duties.

Adams Township Clerk Stephanie Scott was barred from administering the upcoming Nov. 2 election after she refused to allow legally-required maintenance and accuracy testing on voting machines. Hillsdale County Clerk Marney Kast, who was appointed to run the election, suspects Scott confiscated a tablet containing sensitive election information.

“At this point in time I have no idea where it’s at,” Kast said. “I assume it’s with (Scott).”

Kast said Scott did not turn over a tablet described as the “brains” of the machine as requested. Kast said Scott responded to the request by saying she is “consulting her attorney.” County election officials notified state officials when the tablet went missing, which sparked an MSP investigation.

We reported previously that the “legally required maintenance” noted by the far-left outfit was an anomaly – something not regularly done. Also, by changing batteries in the voting machines in Michigan, the state erased 2020 Election data from these machines.

So the person who is standing up for the law by not erasing 2020 election data from the voting machine in her local community is on the run from the police, but the corrupt Secretary of State who initiated actions to illegally destroy 2020 Election evidence walks free.

The ‘Republicans’ in the Michigan legislature do nothing to address the many crimes involved in the 2020 Election in their state. These crimes included a white van secretly dropping off tens of thousands of ballots in the middle of the night in Detroit, voting machine ‘glitches’, stolen military votes, radical outsiders allowed in the counting rooms to intimidate Republican observers, hundreds of thousands of ballots dropped for Biden in the middle of the night, and hundreds of affidavits of wrongdoing as listed by Rudy Giuliani in front of the legislature. None of this was investigated by the DOJ.

And, after all this, the ‘Republican’ legislature writes a report that nothing was wrong with the 2020 Election as if it was written by George Soros himself.

Michigan is a mess. The people there will never be free until their elections are accurate and fair, something their politicians don’t understand and apparently don’t want.

Treadstone retconned the creation of Operation: Treadstone (and Jason Bourne's origin) by revealing that its roots come from a program called Cicada, which was controlled by the Soviet Union. The series introduced CIA agent J. Randolph Bentley (Jeremy Irvine), who was essentially the first Jason Bourne. In 1973, Bentley was captured by KGB agents in East Berlin and disappeared for nine months, during which time he was subjected to brainwashing and torture, which mentally broke him. Bentley was then given advanced training in combat, weapons, and spycraft, which was overseen by KGB Agent Petra Andropov (Emilia Schüle). The intention was for Bentley to become the first Cicada agent - a black ops assassin who would be inserted into a new life and lie in wait until he was activated for a mission.

The Cicada program was the brainchild of Soviet scientist Dr. Gustav Meisner (Martin Umbach). Using a combination of hypnosis, drugs, sleep deprivation, and electrical stimulation to certain areas of the brain, Meisner's methods were designed to strip away a person's identity and make them controllable human weapons. Though Bentley was able to rebel against his programming, escape his captors, and return to the CIA, he still succumbed and killed targets while suffering from induced hallucinations during his months under KGB control.

Cicadas are sleeper agents who will follow certain prescripted commands when "awakened", or activated. They were originally conceived by the KGB during the Cold War as a part of Gustav Meisner's Tsikada program, and kept the monicker when the program was reverse engineered by the CIA and perfected under Operation Treadstone.

Doug finds out "Snow White" is actually a time window, and can send inanimate objects into the past. Despite Denny's protests against tampering with the past, Doug has the team send a note back to his past self with the time and place to stop the ferry bomber. Instead, his partner Larry Minuti (Matt Craven) gets the note and while following up on it is shot by the terrorist. The team attempts to follow the fleeing terrorist, who takes Minuti with him, but he moves outside of Snow White's range. However, Doug is able to follow him in the present using a specially equipped vehicle with a mobile Snow White unit.
