US deploys space-based nuclear blast detectors that captures 10,000+ frames per sec

he United States has quietly completed deployment of its latest series of space-based nuclear detection systems and is preparing to field an even more advanced generation of sensors, officials said on September 22.

The Global Burst Detection system, a set of specialized payloads hosted on US GPS satellites, has been monitoring the planet for signs of nuclear detonations for over 60 years.

Such sensors can identify electromagnetic pulses, X-rays, and optical flashes from nuclear explosions anywhere on Earth, allowing the US to determine a detonation’s time, location, and yield in real time.

The final detector in the current block, known as the IIIA series, launched from Cape Canaveral in May aboard a GPS satellite.

Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory jointly designed and produced the system’s five subsystems, said calibration and early on-orbit testing concluded successfully in June.

“The launch of the final IIIA series Global Burst Detector marks an important milestone in our efforts to enhance nuclear detection capabilities,” said Andrew Stuart, a manager at Sandia.

“Collaboration between Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory has been key to developing this advanced system, which will significantly contribute to our national security by improving our ability to detect nuclear detonations from space.”

Marc Kippen, program manager for space systems and science at Los Alamos, called the launch “a testament to the decades of effort it takes to maintain uninterrupted national security space capability.”

The Global Burst Detection system forms part of the US Nuclear Detonation Detection System, a network of satellites, ground stations, and sensors overseen by the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration and operated by the US Space Force.

By riding on GPS satellites, the sensors provide global coverage without the need for dedicated spacecraft.

With the IIIA series complete, engineers are turning to the next generation of detectors, known as the IIIF series, scheduled to begin launching in 2027.

Several flight units have already been delivered to Lockheed Martin for integration with upcoming GPS satellites.

Spectral imaging geolocation hyper-temporal sensor

A centerpiece of the IIIF system is a new instrument called the Spectral Imaging Geolocation Hyper-Temporal Sensor, or SIGHTS, which traces its roots to basic research at Sandia more than a decade ago.

The optical sensor can record tens of thousands of frames per second at megapixel resolution, enabling faster identification of legitimate nuclear signatures and reducing false positives.

Sandia said the IIIF detectors will incorporate improved electronics, more robust materials, and advanced mission-assurance processes to ensure 15-plus years of reliable performance in orbit.

Officials said the ongoing work underscores the quiet but enduring nature of America’s nuclear monitoring mission.

“This program exemplifies how national laboratories and industry partners can deliver cutting-edge capabilities while preserving an uninterrupted security posture,” Kippen said.

The National Nuclear Security Administration funds the sensors, which undergo rigorous shock, vibration, thermal vacuum, and prompt X-ray testing to survive launch and the harsh space environment.

Over the next decade, Sandia and Los Alamos plan to deliver, integrate, and launch additional IIIF Global Burst Detector systems to continue the mission.

Wray, Patel’s predecessor, steadfastly refused to tell Congress how many if any agents went to the Capitol that day. And a prior DOJ Inspector General Report did not divulge the number, referring only to a SWAT team the bureau sent into the Capitol and having more than two dozen informants in the crowd.

The existence of mass FBI agents at the Capitol on Jan. 6 could also be a problem in many of the cases that were subsequently brought in court. If agents were witnesses at the Capitol and did not disclose it in the subsequent affidavits during prosecutions it could create grounds for defendants to appeal.

The document also reveals for the first time that there were widespread concerns for years inside the bureau – sentiments that boiled over after the FBI began sending SWAT teams to arrest Jan. 6 participants on misdemeanor charges – that the FBI had become biased in favor of liberals and against conservatives.

Despite the pre-existing report, Wray rejected that notion in testimony before Congress. “The idea that I’m biased against conservatives seems somewhat insane to me, given my own personal background,” Wray told Congress in 2023.

“I have found almost invariably, the people screaming the loudest about the politicization of the FBI are themselves the most political, and more often than not, making claims of politicization to advance their own views or goals, and they often don’t know the facts or are choosing to ignore them,” Wray added in an episode of the podcast “FBI Retired Case File Review” that aired the same year.

To enhance operations across its growing portfolio of missions, the European Space Agency (ESA) has officially announced Pulse, a new solution that streamlines mission monitoring and control.

To be deployed next year on ESA’s three-satellite Swarm constellation, Pulse will progressively support all ESA missions and serve the broader European space sector.

As ESA’s space activities expand in scale and complexity, there is a growing demand for interoperable systems capable of managing information across multiple missions, centres, and partners.

Traditional tools, often mission-specific and fragmented, limit situational visibility and collaboration. ESA’s response is Pulse, a mission-independent logic that links operational data, enhances responsiveness, and reduces fragmentation.

Pulse is not a single software product or control system.

It is a strategic operational framework that use technologies such as European Ground Segment – Common Core (EGS-CC), streamlining telemetry, event management, information exchange and execution processes.

Built on the collective experience of ESA teams, Pulse aims to transform how data flows are interpreted and actioned across missions.

Pulse will be deployed on ESA’s Swarm constellation in 2026. Over time, ESA intends for Pulse to become the default synchronisation and coordination layer for future missions, from construction (ie. Assembly, Integration and Validation of the spacecraft) to operations phases, whether in Earth’s orbit or in deep space.

Importantly, it is distributed under the ESA Community Licence, which enables access across the European space ecosystem without commercial constraints. Interested users can find more information here.

"Pulse is a foundational step towards an integrated, agile operational culture within ESA," said Katarzyna Cichecka, ESA Head of the System and Applications Engineering Division.

The solution was shaped through continuous validation and cross-functional collaboration.

Recently, a milestone user acceptance test was conducted with mission operators and engineering teams from ESA’s European Space Operations Centre (ESOC).

Their feedback confirmed significant improvements in coordination, usability, and operational consistency.

One dead, several hurt in four-vehicle crash at Kennedy Space Center

One person was killed and several people seriously injured in an early morning, four-vehicle traffic crash near at the Kennedy Space Center Complex near Max Brewer Bridge.

The deadly crash happened Friday, Sept. 26 on Beach Road, just east of Titusville Road, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. Several KSC police officers were at the site, along with highway patrol troopers.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Traffic was also being rerouted for workers.

An investigation is underway.

The largest-ever simulation of the universe has just been released

Are we living in a simulation? Well, the jury's out on that one. But humans do create simulations all the time.

In fact, the Euclid Consortium, the international group managing the European Space Agency's Euclid space telescope, just published the world's most extensive simulation of the universe.

It maps an astonishing 3.4 billion galaxies and tracks the gravitational interactions of more than 4 trillion particles.

Called Flagship 2, the simulation draws from an algorithm designed by astrophysicist Joachim Stadel of the University of Zurich (UZH).

In 2019, Stadel used the supercomputer Piz Daint — then the third most powerful supercomputer in the world — to run the calculation, ultimately creating an exceptionally detailed virtual model of the universe.

"These simulations are crucial for preparing the analysis of Euclid’s data," astrophysicist Julian Adamek of UZH, a collaborator on the project, said in a statement.

Since 2023, the Euclid space telescope has been mapping billions of galaxies across the universe, studying the distribution of dark energy and dark matter.

The spacecraft will eventually scan about one-third of the night sky. Given the scale of the project, Euclid produces vast quantities of data — and simulations like Flagship 2 help speed up processing times.

While the team anticipates that Euclid's observations will closely match predictions from the simulation, there are likely surprises in store.

Flagship 2 runs on the standard cosmological model, which is what we currently know about the universe's composition.

But missions like Euclid are designed to challenge our current knowledge. "We already see indications of cracks in the standard model," Stadel said.

The team is particularly excited to study the mystery of dark energy, the force driving the expansion of the universe. As it stands in the standard cosmological model, dark energy is simply a constant.

But Euclid's observations — which will look up to 10 billion years in the past — might reveal different characteristics. "We can see how the universe expanded at that time and measure whether this constant really remained constant," said Adamek.

Euclid's first observational data was released in March 2025, with the next publication of data sets scheduled for spring 2026.

Why 2025's Harvest Moon is a rare October full moon

Our next full moon will occur on Oct. 6, and it will be a somewhat special one for those living in the Northern Hemisphere in that it will also carry the title of "Harvest Moon."

The moon officially turns full when it reaches that spot in the sky opposite (180 degrees) to the sun in the sky and this moment will occur on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 03:48 GMT (which corresponds to 11:48 p.m. EDT on Oct.6, or 8:48 p.m. PDT).

But it also turns out that this full moon is the one that comes closest on the calendar to the September equinox. In 2025, this circumstance comes later than usual, into the month of October, as opposed to the more traditional month of September.

Full moon in September came on Sept. 7 and occurred 15.006 days prior to the autumnal equinox. The full moon of Oct. 6 occurs 14.395 days after the equinox, or 14 hours and 39 minutes nearer to the equinox than September's full moon.

Thus, the 2025 version of the Harvest Moon falls in October, although, for U.S. time zones, it can occur as early as Sept. 8 (as in 2014) or as late as Oct. 7 (as in 1987).

October oddities

Between 1970 and 2050, there are 18 years when the Harvest Moon comes in October. The last time was in 2020 and the next time will be in 2028.

On average, October Harvest Full Moons come at three-year intervals, although the time frame can be quite variable and there can be situations where as much as eight years can elapse (the next such example will come between 2028 and 2036).

Harvesting by the light of the moon

Full Moon names date back to Native Americans of what is now the northern and eastern United States. Those tribes of a few hundred years ago kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to each recurring full moon.

Their names were applied to the entire month in which each occurred. At the peak of the harvest, farmers can work into the night by the light of the Harvest Moon.

Corn, pumpkins, squash, beans, and wild rice — the chief Indian staples — are now ready for gathering.

Not a "long night's moon"

It seems that most people are under the impression that the Harvest Moon remains in the night sky longer than any of the other full moons we see during the year, but that's not so.

It's the full moon occurring nearest to the winter solstice that stays above the horizon the longest, at mid-northern latitudes in excess of 15 hours.

What sets the Harvest Full Moon apart from the others is that it rises about the time the sun sets, but more importantly, at this time of year, instead of rising its normal average 50 minutes later each evening, the moon seems to rise at nearly the same time each night.

In fact, this unusual circumstance, a full (or nearly full) moon appearing on several consecutive evenings near sunset, rising at roughly the same time each night and leaving only a short period of darkness, was once considered a special provision of nature to allow farmers to continue working into the night without interruption.

For example, in Boston, Massachusetts, moonrise on Oct. 5 is at 5:32 p.m. On Oct. 6, moonrise is 5:55 p.m. and on Oct. 7, it's 6:20 p.m.

So compared to the normal 50 minutes per night, around the time of the Harvest Moon, the moonrise comes about 24 minutes later.

Worldwide variations

In actuality, the night-to-night difference is greatest for more southerly locations. For example, Miami, Florida, located near latitude 25.8 degrees N, sees moonrise come an average of 37 minutes later.

Meanwhile, the difference is less at more northerly locations; at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, located at a latitude of 56.7 degrees N, the average difference is only 11 minutes.

The reason for this seasonal circumstance is that the moon appears to move along the ecliptic and at this time of year, when rising, the ecliptic makes its smallest angle with respect to the horizon for those living in the Northern Hemisphere.

In contrast, for those living in the Southern Hemisphere, the ecliptic at this time of year appears to stand almost perpendicular (at nearly a right angle) to the eastern horizon.

As such, the difference in the time of moonrise exceeds the average of 50 minutes per night. At Christchurch, New Zealand (43.5 degrees S), for instance, the night-to-night difference amounts to 81 minutes.

Interestingly, for those who live near 70 degrees north latitude, the moon does indeed appear to rise at the same time each night around the time of the Harvest Moon.

And for those who live even farther to the north, a paradox: the moon appears to rise earlier! At Barrow, Alaska (latitude 71.3 degrees N), for instance, the times of moonrise on Oct. 5, Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 will be, respectively, 7:16 p.m., 6:39 p.m. and 5:51 p.m.

So, from Barrow, the moon will seem to rise about 43 minutes earlier each night!

Space test program continues to expand, astronaut inspires future space test leaders

The U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School Space Test Course started as a three-month program in January 2021, in collaboration with the newly formed U.S. Space Force, and has been growing ever since.

The program evolved to a year-long graduate certificate in Space Test Engineering in 2024 and is set to become a full 40-credit hour master’s degree program, known as the Space Test Engineering concentration in January 2026.

TPS graduate, Space Force Guardian and NASA astronaut, Brig. Gen. Nick Hague, who played a crucial role in advocating for the expansion of the Space Test Course, recently visited Edwards Air Force Base to engage with K-12 students, TPS, Airmen and their families.

Fellow NASA astronaut and retired Navy Capt. Sunita Williams were also a part of the Crew-9/Expedition 72 return from space and accompanied Hague during the visit to TPS. “The fundamentals of test are universal, applying across all domains,” Karlen said.

"This truth was on display as Hague and retired Navy Capt. Williams spoke to the next generation of test leaders and Edwards AFB. We are proud to walk in the footsteps of these test leaders.”

Hague's visit highlighted the critical role of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in national defense and space exploration.

“The graduates of the TPS Space Test Course have already been leading the charge in a variety of research development test and evaluation roles for the Space Force,” said Andrew Freeborn, Technical Director of Space at TPS.

“The partnership between the school and the Space Force has been nothing short of amazing. Brig. Gen. Hague has really personified that in his dual roles as a Space Force Guardian and NASA astronaut.”

The U.S. Air Force TPS, in collaboration with Space Training and Readiness Command and Space Delta 12 (STARCOM), educates up to 24 Guardians, Airmen and joint partners annually to prepare them to assume leadership roles in the space test and evaluation enterprise.

This initiative will produce expert test leaders capable of developing and validating advanced space-based capabilities essential to maintaining the U.S.'s strategic advantage.

Graduates will be equipped with specialized skills to plan, execute, analyze and report on developmental and operational tests of complex space systems.

“The Space Force through STARCOM, made significant investments into the partnership with U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and Edwards Air Force Base to produce professional Guardian testers with a multi-domain mindset capable of leading the service in safely pushing the limits of our space systems by ensuring they are combat-credible and ready for the joint fight,” said Lt. “It becomes more critical as Guardians around the globe are responsible for bringing stability to the space domain,” Hague said.

Kiev targets nuclear plant during IAEA chief’s Moscow visit

Kiev attempted to strike the Kursk II nuclear power plant with a drone on Thursday, while International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi was praising Russian technological achievements during a visit to Moscow.

Kursk Region Governor Aleksandr Khinshtein said the UAV hit one of the auxiliary buildings at the NPP construction site in the city of Kurchatov, leaving the walls pocked with shrapnel but causing no fire or casualties.

The plant operator, Rosenergoatom, said the facility continued to operate normally and that radiation levels remained stable.

The attack came as IAEA Director General Grossi was attending the Global Atomic Forum, where he highlighted Russia’s role as a “pioneer” in fields such as floating NPPs, nuclear-powered shipping, and fusion research.

He invited Russian firms to join an IAEA conference on artificial intelligence in the nuclear industry in Vienna this December, and suggested that his agency explore a partnership with the BRICS New Development Bank.

Later in the day, Grossi met with President Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin, where the two discussed global nuclear safety and Russia’s cooperation with the IAEA. Putin praised the agency’s work and pledged Moscow’s continued support.

“We will do everything in our power to support your activities,” Putin told Grossi, who recently announced his candidacy to become the next UN Secretary General.

The Kursk strike follows repeated attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, the largest facility of its kind in Europe, which this week switched to backup diesel generators for the tenth time since coming under Russia’s control in 2022.

Russian officials have accused Kiev of “nuclear terrorism,” warning that these incidents could have catastrophic consequences.

Rosatom head Aleksey Likhachev told journalists on the sidelines of the forum that Grossi was “well aware” of where the attacks on Russian nuclear facilities originate, but suggested that the IAEA chief was constrained in what he could say officially.

“In person, he makes quite adequate assessments, believe me,” Likhachev said.

Russian forces destroy Ukrainian naval drones – MOD

The Russian Navy has eliminated 23 Ukrainian naval drones in the Black Sea over the past seven days, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said in its daily briefing on Friday.

The ministry released a clip showing incoming unmanned boats being blown up by gunfire and with the use of the Lancet loitering munitions.

Ukraine deployed autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) along with the UAVs during its large-scale drone raid on the coastal cities of Novorossiysk and Tuapse in Russia’s Krasnodar Region on Wednesday.

The attack resulted in two people being killed in Novorossiysk and 14 others injured in both cities.

The threat of naval drones also prompted the evacuation of tourists from 180 beaches in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has addressed the United Nations General Assembly on the war in Gaza, amid global pressure to end the ongoing offensive in the enclave.

As he began his speech, dozens of UN delegates walked out of the room in protest. A total of 157 out of 193 UN nations currently recognize the Palestinian state.

Two UN Security Council members, France and the UK, joined ten other members this week to recognize Palestine, ratcheting up pressure on the Israeli PM.

Netanyahu dubbed the wave of recognitions as “shameful, sheer madness, and insane.”

“What you’re doing is giving the ultimate reward to intolerant fanatics who perpetrated and supported the Sabbath massacre.

Giving the Palestinians a state one mile from Jerusalem after October 7 is like giving al-Qaeda a state one mile from New York City after September 11,” he claimed.

Netanyahu vowed to “finish the job” of eliminating Hamas militias in Gaza, also referring to a QR code on his jacket that links to the October 7 atrocities website.

A UN commission of inquiry ruled last week that Israel is “responsible for genocide in Gaza,” citing killings, serious physical and mental harm, the deliberate imposition of life-threatening conditions, and measures aimed at preventing births.

Over 68,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed in the Israeli operation in Gaza, which was launched in response to a deadly incursion by Hamas into the Jewish state on October 2023.

Netanyahu has denied the accusations of genocide and slammed the countries that recognized Palestine, saying that they were “handing a huge reward to terror.”

Russian drone strike on Kharkiv shopping center injures 4, officials say

Russian drone hit a shopping center in Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district on Sept. 26, injuring four people, local officials said.

Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, lies about 30 kilometers (19 miles) from the Russian border and has been a frequent target of airstrikes since the full-scale invasion began.

Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov said the drone struck the roof of a furniture store, injuring four people.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed the strike, saying the drone involved was preliminarily identified as a Russian-made "Molniya." He said all four injured people were receiving medical care.

Terekhov added that Russian drones also damaged a municipal bus that was carrying passengers nearby. No bus passengers were reported injured.

Hungarian drones breach Ukraine's airspace, Zelensky says

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sept. 26 that reconnaissance drones likely belonging to Hungary had violated Ukraine's airspace along the border. This is the first such reported incident.

In a statement posted on X, Zelensky said Ukrainian forces recorded drone incursions over border areas and that preliminary assessments suggest the unmanned aircraft were "conducting reconnaissance on the industrial potential of Ukraine's border areas."

"I instructed that all available information be verified and that urgent reports be made on each recorded incident," Zelensky said.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto dismissed Zelensky's remarks, writing on X that "President Zelensky is losing his mind to his anti-Hungarian obsession. He's now starting to see things that aren't there."

"We are starting to see a lot of things, Peter, including your government's hypocrisy and moral degradation, open and covert work against Ukraine and the rest of Europe, serving as a Kremlin lackey," Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha responded.

In his briefing, Zelensky also said Ukraine's military downed a Russian Su-34 jet over Zaporizhzhia and reported progress in the Dobropillia counteroffensive in Donetsk Oblast, claiming the liberation of nearly 169 square kilometers (65 square miles) of territory and heavy Russian personnel losses.

The claim over Hungarian drones comes amid heightened security concerns along NATO's eastern flank, where Russian drones have previously crossed into Romania and Poland, triggering a NATO response in the latter.

Hungary and Slovakia were not invited to a Sept. 26 high-level video conference on building a "drone wall" along the EU's eastern border, European Commission spokesperson Thomas Regnier told Suspilne on Sept. 22.

Hungary and Slovakia, both of which have maintained closer ties with Russia since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, have frequently resisted tougher EU measures against Moscow.

Ukrainian Drones Hit Major Oil Refinery in Southern Russia for Second Time in a Month

Ukrainian drones struck the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region for the second time in a month, regional authorities said Thursday.

Debris from one of the drones fell on a refinery unit, sparking a fire that covered 30 square meters before being quickly extinguished, the regional crisis center said. No casualties were reported.

The Afipsky refinery, one of the largest in southern Russia, has a processing capacity of 9.1 million tons of crude a year and operates two primary processing units.

It was previously targeted by drones on Aug. 28, weeks after an earlier strike on Aug. 7 forced the shutdown of one unit. Drones also hit the nearby Krasnodar refinery, which is linked to Afipsky, on Aug. 30.

Ukraine has stepped up attacks on Russian oil infrastructure since early August, disabling at least five major refineries.

Reuters calculations show the strikes have cut Russian refining capacity by 17%, or about 1.1 million barrels per day.

Industry sources told the Kommersant business daily that gasoline output has fallen by roughly 10%.

More than 300 filling stations across Russia have closed, while many regions have introduced rationing of 10-20 liters per customer. Wholesale gasoline prices have jumped 40-50% since the start of the year.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said U.S. President Donald Trump had backed the strikes on Russian energy facilities, describing Washington’s stance as an “eye-for-an-eye” policy.

After meeting Zelensky, Trump told reporters Russia faced a fuel crisis and “major problems” with its economy.

The airspace above Aalborg Airport in northern Denmark was closed overnight on Sept. 26 after police reported an unidentified drone, Danish television channel TV2 said.

It marked the third such disruption in less than a week.

Police said a drone sighting was reported at 11:40 p.m., leading to a one-hour suspension of all departures and arrivals. Several flights were canceled, and two inbound planes were diverted.

"We have had a massive presence out there all day, and it is one of our own people who discovered something that looks like a drone," North Jutland Police Chief Christian Tilsted said.

"We have thoroughly investigated the area, and we have not found anything." The incident follows a series of similar disruptions.

On Sept. 24, Aalborg Airport — located near a Danish military base — suspended operations after drones were detected, prompting Copenhagen to consider invoking NATO's Article 4.

Drones forced Copenhagen Airport, the busiest hub in northern Europe, to suspend operations on Sept. 22. Norwegian officials also temporarily closed Oslo Airport after sightings of drones in the airspace.

Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said the origin of the drones remains unclear, adding there is no evidence linking them directly to Russia.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said the incidents must be seen in the broader context of cyberattacks on European airports and Russian incursions into NATO territory.

The unexplained drone flights coincide with a rise in Russian military violations of allied airspace.

Three Russian MiG-31 jets entered Estonian airspace over the Gulf of Finland on Sept. 19, prompting Tallinn to request NATO consultations under Article 4.

Poland also shot down Russian drones during a mass strike on Ukraine, marking the first time since the full-scale invasion that NATO engaged Russian assets directly over its territory.

Romania reported a similar violation on Sept. 13, scrambling two F-16s after detecting a Russian drone entering its airspace during a strike on Ukraine.

NATO also scrambled two Eurofighter jets on Sept. 21 after detecting a Russian Il-20M reconnaissance plane flying without a filed plan over the Baltic Sea.

The alliance has reinforced defenses with its Eastern Sentry mission amid rising provocations.

Flights halted briefly at Vilnius Airport over suspected drone activity

Flight operations at Vilnius Airport were briefly suspended on Friday following reports of a possible drone sighting, Lithuanian Airports (LTOU) has said.

Departures and arrivals resumed around ten minutes later, according to the LTOU spokesman.

"At around 12:30 p.m., Vilnius Airport received a drone sighting report from Oro navigacija (national air traffic service provider – ELTA)," Tadas Vasiliauskas told ELTA.

"Takeoffs and landings were suspended for around 10 minutes, with only minimal disruption to two flights.

Normal operations resumed at approximately 12:40 p.m.," he said. It is not the first time Vilnius Airport has been closed over suspicious objects.

A similar incident occurred on Thursday, with other cases also reported on 9 and 11 September.

Denmark has no plans to invoke NATO's Article 4 clause on security consultations, its foreign minister said on Friday, after drone incursions shut down air traffic in various parts of the country several times this week.

Copenhagen Airport, the Nordic region's busiest, closed for several hours late on Monday as several large drones were seen in its airspace.

Five smaller airports, both civilian and military, were also shut temporarily in the following days.

Members of the public in Denmark have recorded over 500 possible drone sightings in the past 24 hours, after Scandinavia was targetted in a series of aerial attacks that some European officials have linked to Russia.

The population is full of fear following the drone incursions that shut down two of the country's airports on Wednesday night in what has been described by officials as a 'systematic operation' and a 'hybrid attack'.

It was the second incident in two days following Monday night's drone disruption over Copenhagen airport that interfered with around 100 flights and left 20,000 passengers stranded.

As officials continue to investigate who the 'professional actor' behind the attacks might be, civilians in Denmark are anxiously looking up at the skies in anticipation of more unwanted aerial incidents.

The police are yet to confirm any of the 500 reported sightings, but are encouraging Danes to keep their eyes peeled and provide the authorities with detailed descriptions of anything they might see, reported TV 2.

It comes as European ministers are scrambling to draw up plans for a continent-wide 'drone wall' to counter Moscow's aerial incursions, as the Kremlin warns that any strike on its aircraft would result in direct conflict with NATO.

Nations including Denmark, Finland, Poland and the Baltic states will join Ukraine at a summit today to thrash out plans for what EU chief Ursula von der Leyen has described as 'the bedrock of credible defence.'

The Kremlin has been accused of launching a campaign of hybrid attacks across Europe, exposing the vulnerability of the continent's airspace at a time of high tensions between Moscow and NATO.

Poland, which has already brought down Vladimir Putin's drones in recent weeks, has vowed it will down any hostile objects over Ukraine under fast-tracked laws giving the military greater freedom to act.

However, in a chilling escalation, Russia's ambassador to France warned that shooting down its planes 'would be war.' On Thursday, the country's foreign minister also accused NATO of waging 'real war' on it and claimed the organisation was directly involved in its conflict with Ukraine.

The ministers' meeting in Brussels is expected to focus on creating joint systems to detect and destroy drones that threaten civilian and military infrastructure.

The European Commission has indicated that the cost of the wall could be covered by its €150bn Security Action for Europe loans scheme.

Danish defence minister Troels Lund Poulsen said his country had already been targetted after multiple airports were disrupted by drones on the same night.

The incursions forced Aalborg airport, used for commercial and military flights, to shut for three hours, while Billund airport, Denmark's second-largest, was closed for an hour.

Drones were also seen near Esbjerg and Sonderborg airports, as well as Skrydstrup airbase, home to Denmark's F-16 and F-35 fighter jets, and over a military facility in Holstebro.

Poulsen said: 'There can be no doubt that everything points to this being the work of a professional actor when we are talking about such a systematic operation in so many locations at virtually the same time.

'This is what I would define as a hybrid attack using different types of drones. This is an arms race against time because technology is constantly evolving.'

Danish prime minister Mette Frederiksen has spoken to NATO secretary general Mark Rutte about 'the serious situation related to drones over Danish airports.'

Rutte said: 'NATO allies and Denmark are working together on how we can ensure the safety and security of our critical infrastructure.'

Officials concede that spotting drones is a huge challenge. Commission spokesman Thomas Regnier said: 'One thing that we will have to do is detect these incoming drones. This is not super-easy to do.

'We're not talking about big fighter jets and planes coming in. No, we are talking about the latest technology developments. These drones have to be detected, and then, second track [will be to decide] what will we do to fight back against these drones.'

Police in Denmark are investigating whether some of the drones were launched from ships off the coast, with two Russian vessels seen in the area at the time.

Moscow's embassy in Copenhagen dismissed suggestions of involvement as 'absurd' and described the incidents as a 'staged provocation' designed to escalate tensions.

Netanyahu Touts Regime Change Across The Middle East In UN Speech, Thanks America

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his Friday speech before the UN General Assembly spent a lot of time hailing and thanking President Trump and the US for bombing Iran's nuclear facilities last June. But at the same time he lashed out at the leaders of France, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, and other countries for "unconditionally" recognizing a Palestinian state.

He declared that Israel is intent of finishing the job regardless, saying "Victory over Hamas will make peace possible with nations throughout the Arab and Muslim world." He continued, "Our victory would lead to a dramatic extension and expansion of the historic Abraham Accords, which President Trump brokered between Arab leaders and myself five years ago."

But that's not quite accurate, as the raging Gaza war and especially the Israeli strike on Doha which targeted Hamas negotiators have actually eroded regional trust in the Abraham Accords. Saudi Arabia has definitely put its normalization path on pause.

"I want to thank President Trump for his bold and decisive action," the Israeli leader told the assembly. "President Trump and I promised to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. And we delivered on that promise."

Palestinian officials who were present, along with many other officials, actually walked out near the start of Netanyahu's speech.

Interestingly, Netanyahu's speech and visual prop and map he held up at one point seemed a review of all the regime changes in the Middle East. "We removed an existential threat to Iran, to Israel, rather, and a mortal threat to the civilized world. We lifted a dark cloud that could have claimed millions and millions of lives. But, ladies and gentlemen, we must remain vigilant," he said.

Syria was also overthrown, and Lebanon's Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah assassinated last year. Recall too that Netanyahu was key in arguing that the Bush administration must invade Iraq and overthrow Saddam Hussein.

"We must not allow Iran to rebuild its military nuclear capacities. Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium. These stockpiles must be eliminated," we added, saying that Trump more than any other leader understood this "common threat". This suggests Israel could be gearing up for more military action against the Islamic Republic.

"They [the leaders] did so after the horrors committed by Hamas on Oct. 7," Netanyahu said. "Horrors praised on that day by nearly 90% of the Palestinian population.

"Let me say that again. Nearly 90% of Palestinians supported the attack on Oct. 7. It's not supported only. They celebrated it. They danced on the rooftops. They threw candies. That's both in Gaza and in Judea, Samaria – the West Bank, as you call it."

He went on: "And it's just the way they celebrated another horror. 9/11 they danced on the rooftops. They cheered. They threw candy."

‘Hybrid Attack’: European Airports Again Shut By Second Night of Mystery Drones

Half a dozen European airports have been shuttered this week over the appearance of mystery drones, with the Danish government calling it a “hybrid attack” — the usual signal implying Moscow involvement — while also acknowledging they have no evidence Russia is involved.

Four airports — two of them with military airbases which include the home of Denmark’s whole inventory of F-16 fighters — were shut down for hours at a time on Wednesday night by the simultaneous appearance of mystery drones in their airspace, representatives of the Danish government said in a press conference on Thursday morning. It is the second time European airports have been “attacked” in this way this way this week, with major airports in Denmark and Norway also shut down by drone sightings on Monday.

The Danish government is coming under heavy criticism from opposition parties given Wednesday night’s incident came so soon after the last, and yet the country was still not in a position to adequately track, intercept, or shoot down the drones when they arrived. The Ministry of Defence has said they could have shot down the drones that approached its military bases if it wanted to, but they made the determination that it would be safer for civilians not to suddenly start engaging in anti-air warfare in built up areas.

Nevertheless the national police chief in his comments on Thursday morning underlined just how little the government knows about what happened and why. Top cop Thorkild Fogde said there was no “smoking gun” at the scene that revealed the perpetrator, but said the fact that drones appeared simultaneously at military and civilian facilities betrayed a “pattern” pointing to a “hybrid” warfare style “attack”.

The officer said: “We are not yet able to identify who is behind this, we are also not able to say exactly where the drones came from and whether they were launched in or outside Denmark, and we are also not able to say exactly where they disappeared to.”

Denmark’s Justice Minister also called it a hybrid attack, a phrase generally used in Europe exclusively in relation to the Russian Federation and its campaign of sub-military, but acknowledged that with no evidence whatsoever to hand, they were keeping all options open for the investigation. They said: “The goal of these kinds of hybrid attacks is to create fear, create division and make us afraid”.

The nation’s defence minister also used that language, and said it had the hallmarks of being a professional and “systemic” operation. He said the incidents in recent days are not simply the world of a member of the public flying a toy-store drone. Russia, for what it is worth, has denied involvement.

It is difficult not to notice the strategy of how certain Trump administration officials are targeted.

Any cabinet member that looks inward to reveal the status of corrupt activity within the information silo itself becomes a target. Cabinet officials who focus externally, meaning the majority of their effort looks outside government, are seemingly left alone.

HHS Secretary RFK Jr and Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, are examples of those receiving the worst ideological targeting from operations within HHS and the Intelligence Community respectively.

Conversely, CIA Director John Ratcliffe faces almost no scrutiny or targeting by the Intelligence Community as the silo operators frame narratives almost exclusively against DNI Gabbard.

The latest effort surfaces as embeds within Main Justice and theCIA frame a storyline that Tulsi Gabbard’saction in removing the security clearances of 37 current and former officials,has now resulted in those same officials being incapable of testifying against former CIA Director John Brennan (and others).

The premise of the narrative is ridiculous. If we are to accept some current or former IC officials are willing to testify against Brennan (or others), regardless of whether Tulsi Gabbard has revoked their security clearances, their retroactive knowledge is still pertinent.They are completely free to give statements and testimony based on their prior conduct.

What theleakersto Axios and the New York Times are trying to establish, is groundwork for the removal of Tulsi Gabbard. This stops her objective of investigating internal corruption. I suspect most of the people trying desperately to undermine Gabbard are from within the CIA Directorate of Analysis==, or at least in alignment with the directorate’s agenda.

The narrative’s author, Marc Caputo, claims AG Pam Bondi is hampered in her effort to criminally indict John Brennan because the witnesses Main Justice would use have lost their security clearances.Again, the game of leveraging internecine friendships in/around the office of Trump becomes an overlay.

It is certainly true that AGPam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have refused to look internally; and it is also true that DNI TulsiGabbard has spent much of her focus time looking internally. Bondi and Patel continue the preferred game of institutional blame-casting in Main Justice.

Meanwhile, Gabbard is busy focused on cleaning up her IC house.

The Fourth Branch embeds do not fear the approach of Bondi/Patel,but the Fourth Branch embeds are petrified by the approach of Tulsi Gabbard. That reality underpins the baseline of opposition against the Director of National Intelligence.

As the dynamic unfolds, CIADirector John Ratcliffe is certainly not corrupt; however, nor is he brave. Disgraced business tycoon Ron Brierley is unfit to plead or be tried on charges of possessing child abuse material due to deteriorating cognitive function, a Sydney court has been told.

The 88-year-old was charged in March with three counts of the offence, about three years after an appeals court overturned a previous jail term for similar offending because of his ill-health and conditions in custody.

Brierley was handed that sentence after he was stopped at Sydney Airport in 2019 and eventually pleaded guilty.

When authorities examined his devices, they found child abuse material, and Brierley initially said he had downloaded it for recreation because it "looked interesting".

They found more material on other devices in his Point Piper home, ultimately determining there were more than 46,000 images, with significant duplication.

A judge rejected his suggestion that he thought the material was legal.

About six months after the more recent charges were laid, Brierley's lawyers today made an unopposed application in Waverley Local Court to have the case either permanently stayed or diverted under mental health legislation.

"The evidence suggests clearly that Mr Brierley is not fit to enter a plea," his counsel Phillip Boulten SC told the magistrate.

Mr Boulten said Brierley was also "not really fit" to give instructions about making the mental health-related application.

'There would not be proper justice if this case continued'

The court heard the evidence "all points one way", with three doctors unanimously determining Brierley is unfit to be tried due to a moderate form of vascular dementia.

The Obama Foundation has funneled millions of dollars to a progressive grant-making network now under congressional scrutiny for backing anti-Israel groups linked to campus protests, according to newly released tax filings.

Federal records show that in 2022 and 2023, the foundation directed $2 million to the Tides Foundation, money earmarked to “support local organizations that are working to reduce violence in communities.” But Tides, which is also heavily funded by Democratic donor George Soros, has been flagged by the House Ways and Means Committee for sponsoring groups like the Adalah Justice Project, Samidoun, an the People’s Forum—all of which have supported pro-Palestinian encampments at Ivy League schools following the October 7 Hamas terror attack on Israel.

Tides has faced its own legal troubles. Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation sued the group in California last year, accusing it of mismanaging more than $33 million. That case is still pending, according to the New York Post.

The Obama Foundation’s filings also show it sent more than $3 million during the same period to GoFundMe.org for undisclosed programs described as helping “grassroots leaders to empower girls through education.”

Meanwhile, costs continue to climb for the foundation’s flagship project, the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s Jackson Park. Construction of the 19-acre complex began in 2021 and is now slated to open in 2026, with expenses surpassing $615 million—well over its original $500 million budget.

The foundation has also drawn attention for its internal spending. In 2022, it reported just $129,000 in outside donations but spent more than $27 million on salaries. Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s longtime adviser and the foundation’s CEO, was paid more than $750,000 in 2023.

The presidential center, still rising from Chicago’s South Side, will feature a museum, athletic facilities, and gardens.

Former FBI Director James Comey was hit with two federal charges late Thursday, days after President Trump ramped up pressure on his Justice Department to prosecute his most prominent adversaries.

The counts stem from testimony Comey gave before the Senate in 2020 as it probed investigations into ties Trump’s 2016 campaign had with Russia, which the president has long decried as a “witch hunt.”

While Justice Department officials have portrayed the indictment as a step toward accountability, Comey said his “heart is broken” for the agency and that he is innocent.

Comey is set to be arraigned Oct. 9 in federal court in Alexandria, Va. His case will be overseen by U.S. District Judge Michael Nachmanoff, an appointee of former President Biden.

Here are five things to know.

Comey faces obstruction, perjury charges

Comey’s indictment includes two counts: false statements to Congress, and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.

The felonies each carry a maximum penalty of five years in prison, though if convicted, Comey would be a first-time offender who would likely receive a lesser punishment.

They stem from an exchange between Comey and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during a Sept. 30, 2020, Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

Cruz asked Comey if he had ever authorized a leak about the FBI’s investigations into Hillary Clinton’s emails and connections between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The question zeroed in on conflicting accounts between Comey and his former deputy, Andrew McCabe, regarding a leak to The Wall Street Journal about the Clinton investigation days before the 2016 election.

McCabe has indicated Comey knew about and authorized the leak. Comey maintains he was unaware and that McCabe in a conversation after the story published implied he, too, wasn’t involved.

A 2018 inspector general report sided with Comey’s account, saying McCabe authorized the leak and “lacked candor” when he told his boss and later investigators that he didn’t.

“What Mr. McCabe is saying and what you testified to this committee cannot both be true. One or the other is false. Who’s telling the truth?” Cruz pressed.

Comey responded, “I can only speak to my testimony. I stand by the testimony you summarized.”

The false statements charge requires prosecutors to prove that Comey “knowingly and willfully” made a “false, fictitious, or fraudulent” statement to Cruz, and it was material.

The obstruction charge requires prosecutors to show that Comey in making a false statement corruptly endeavored “to influence, obstruct, or impede the due and proper administration of the law.”

Comey is charged in the Eastern District of Virginia, because his congressional testimony was given remotely from his home in McLean, Va., due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indictment followed Trump pressure campaign for charges

The charges against Comey followed a pressure campaign from Trump, who over the weekend issued a direct call to Attorney General Pam Bondi to bring charges against Comey as well as others the president considers to be his political adversaries.

“Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, ‘same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, Leticia??? They’re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done,’” Trump posted on social media, referencing Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and New York Attorney General Letitia James (D).

“There is a GREAT CASE….We can’t delay any longer.”

Those comments came after the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Erik Siebert, resigned under pressure to bring charges against Comey and James. Siebert reportedly had held off due to a lack of evidence in the cases.

Trump swiftly installed Lindsey Halligan, who was tapped as an interim replacement. Halligan, a White House staffer who practiced insurance law before she joined his criminal defense team in 2022, has never tried a federal case.

Just days later, Trump officials brought an indictment before a grand jury, borrowing a line popular among Democrats in announcing the move.

“No one is above the law,” Bondi said.

FBI Director Kash Patel, who worked on a review of the 2016 investigation as a staffer on the House Intelligence Committee, also implied Comey was corrupt.

“Nowhere was this politicization of law enforcement more blatant than during the Russiagate hoax, a disgraceful chapter in history we continue to investigate and expose,” he wrote in a post on social media.

“Everyone, especially those in positions of power, will be held to account – no matter their perch.”

Comey’s testimony before the Senate came on Sept. 30, 2020, meaning the indictment was filed just days before the five-year statute of limitations in the case was set to expire.

Grand jury declined to indict on 1 count

Though Comey was indicted on two charges, court papers show federal prosecutors initially pursued three.

The Justice Department asked a federal grand jury to indict Comey on another count of making false statements to Congress stemming from an exchange with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) during the same Sept. 30, 2020, hearing.

Graham asked Comey whether he recalled “being taught” of Clinton’s “approval of a plan” to use talk of Trump and Russian hackers interfering in U.S. elections as a means of distracting from her use of a private email server.

Comey replied, “That doesn’t ring any bells with me.”

“OK. Well, that’s a pretty stunning thing, it didn’t ring a bell,” Graham said in return.

The grand jury’s foreperson indicated that 12 or more grand jurors did not agree to indict on the charge regarding the exchange, meaning prosecutors could not move forward with it.

Comey professes his innocence

Comey responded to news of his own indictment in a short video posted to Instagram, professing his innocence and vowing he would not be intimidated by the administration’s charges against him.

“Somebody that I love dearly recently said that ‘fear is the tool of a tyrant.’ And she’s right,” Comey said in the video, quoting what his daughter, Maurene, said after she was fired as a federal prosecutor in July.

“But I’m not afraid, and I hope you’re not either. I hope instead you are engaged. You are paying attention, and you will vote like your beloved country depends upon it, which it does,” Comey added.

“My heart is broken for the Department of Justice, but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system,” he said. “And I’m innocent. So, let’s have a trial. And keep the faith.”what heart?

Comey, who earned the ire of Democrats in 2016 with his handling of an investigation into then-candidate Clinton’s email server, had become increasingly outspoken since his departure from the FBI in pushing back against Trump.

The former FBI director endorsed former President Biden in the 2020 election and backed former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 race against Trump.

The latest chapter in the Trump-Comey feud

Thursday’s indictment followed years of attacks from Trump against Comey.

Trump fired Comey as FBI director in 2017 while the bureau’s investigation was still ongoing, leading to the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller. Trump and Comey have had an adversarial relationship ever since, with Trump calling Comey a “dirty cop” and saying he and other FBI leaders were “scum.”

The president earlier this year alleged an Instagram post from Comey that featured seashells on a beach arranged to form the numbers “8647” was a call for his assassination. Stemming from the hospitality industry, “86” can refer to either the need to cut off a client or unlist a menu item.

Democrats and other Trump critics were quick to sound the alarm, suggesting Comey’s indictment was an indication the president was willing to use the Justice Department against his opponents.

“Donald Trump has made clear that he intends to turn our justice system into a weapon for punishing and silencing his critics,” Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said in a statement.

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, called Comey’s indictment “one of the most sickening abuses of power in the history of the DOJ.”

“Trump is using every tool available to get vengeance on his political rivals. It’s corruption plain and simple— our country deserves better,” Himes posted on the social platform X.

Millions of dollars sent to Barack Obama’s foundation has ended up being donated to a progressive fund that supported anti-Israel groups, accused of setting up encampments at Ivy League universities, according to public documents.

Donations to the Obama Foundation, set up by the former president to build a 19-acre campus including a museum, athletic facility and fruit and vegetable gardens in Chicago, totaling $2 million were instead sent on to Tides Foundation in 2022 and 2023, according to its latest available federal tax filings.

The cash was earmarked to “support local organizations that are working to reduce violence in communities,” according to the nonprofit’s filings.

Tides Foundation — also funded by Democratic mega-donor George Soros — is a network that operates as a fiscal sponsor for groups that have not registered with the IRS as charities.

The third-party grant-making group is under scrutiny by the House Ways and Means Committee for handling donations for anti-Israel groups such as the Adalah Justice Project, Samidoun and the People’s Forum. Such groups helped set up pro-Palestinian demonstrations and college encampments after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel that left 1,200 Israelis dead.

After this story was published Friday, a spokeswoman for the Obama Foundation told The Post that the $2 million was granted to more than 50 organizations across the country to help reduce “surging summer violence” and provide “safe spaces” for young people.

“The Tides Center played an administrative role in the program by processing grants while Cities United [a nonprofit] managed the application process,” the spokeswoman said in an email. Grants ranged from $15,000 to $30,000 each over the two summers.

Tides has also handled donations for Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, which sued the group in California Superior Court last year. It alleged “egregious mismanagement” of more than $33 million in its funds, according to court documents. That lawsuit is ongoing.

In addition to sending donations to Tides, the Obama Foundation has sent more than $3 million in 2022 and 2023 in grants to Gofundme.org for undisclosed “grassroots leaders to empower girls through education,” according to the group’s filings.

Meanwhile, the foundation admitted it has so far spent more than $615 million building the Obama Presidential Center, which is scheduled to open in spring 2026, according to its website.

The group, which received just $129,320 in donations in 2022, spent more than $27 million on salaries.

Newly appointed U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, from the Eastern District of Viginia, has released a criminal indictment of former FBI Director James Comey [SEE INDICTMENT HERE].

The indictment alleges three counts. Counts one and two are ‘false statements’ to Congress on September 30, 2020, [18 U.S.C. § 1001(a)(2)], and count three is ‘obstruction of a federal proceeding’ stemming from the same testimony. [18U.S.C. § 1505]

The first false statement charge surrounds Hillary Clinton’s “approval of a plan concerning” Donald Trump and the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.

A pair of illegal aliens are back in custody and facing significant charges after they attacked a U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agent and escaped while en route to a detention facility in Texas this week, according to the Department of Justice.

The harrowing incident unfolded on Monday in the Houston area.

Authorities encountered two Mexican males and determined they were in the country illegally.

Juan Carmen Padron Mendez, 29, and Juan Carlos Padron Barron, 23, were restrained with plastic handcuffs and placed in the back of a USBP vehicle.

A lone female agent was transporting the Mexicans to a federal detention center when she “heard a seatbelt unbuckling. When she turned towards the back seat, Mendez quickly wrapped his arm around her neck and began choking her,” according to a criminal complaint.

Barron grabbed both men’s belongings from the front seat and they fled on foot, authorities say.

The agent, who said she feared for her life during the assault, was able to call for assistance and the Mexicans were quickly apprehended again.

Both men have been charged with assault, resisting or impeding a federal officer, and escape from custody of an officer of the United States.

They face up to 21 years in federal prison and $350,000 in fines if convicted.

I am often asked aboutwhy the second term cabinet members of President Trump do not take action. My response is consistent.They refuse to acknowledge or assert the corruption within the institutions they lead. They are fraught with fear.

President Barack Obama spent eight years working with Attorney General Eric Holder, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Deputy AG Sally Yates, former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former FBI Chief Legal Counsel James Baker, on a process of weaponizing the Dept of Justice and FBI.

All of the agents and attorneys within the Obama network, in addition to their private sector media and Lawfare partners,spent over a decade building out their ideological targeting tools.

Bondi, Patel and to a lesser extent Bongino,spent a ridiculous amount of time denying the institutional constructs that sit beneath them. Still, to this day, they do not publicly admit the internal challenge with each organization.

All institutional change first requires a public admission of the problem.
