Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard did an excellent service to our nation this week when she released a declassified version of a critical September 2020 House Intelligence Committee staff report on a major January 2017 intelligence report, known as an Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), titled “Russia’s Influence Campaign Targeting the 2016 US Presidential Election.”

Gabbard’s decision came after a years-long tug-of-war over the release of this report between Republican members of Congress who believe it provides critical information about the Russia collusion hoax and the involvement of Obama officials and the U.S. Intelligence Community versus Democratic congressmen and deep state intelligence officials who have desperately tried to hide this report from the American public.

Press accounts have reported most of the essential details of the House report, such as how it was rushed out on President Obama’s orders to be published just before Trump’s first inauguration in January 2017. Media stories have also detailed how substandard intelligence was used to justify the ICA’s finding that Russia meddled in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win and that this bad intelligence was included on the orders of CIA Director John Brennan over the objections of senior CIA analysts. The media has also reported the House Intelligence report’s finding that a hand-picked group of five analysts wrote the ICA and that it was not adequately vetted by U.S. intelligence agencies and analysts. It is also clear in the House report that, despite numerous statements by Brennan denying it, the fraudulent Steele dossier was heavily used in the ICA.

I am very familiar with the House Intelligence Committee report. I was permitted to read a classified version of the report when I served as Chief of Staff of the National Security Council in August 2018. I also discussed efforts by the White House to pressure the CIA to release the report a month before the 2020 presidential election with the late Lou Dobbs. This reportedly included President Trump visiting the CIA to retrieve the report personally.

Based on my understanding of this issue, here are five key points about the House Intelligence Committee report that most Americans may not be aware of.

1. The House Intelligence Committee report is a credible and carefully drafted paper. Although the House report was written by the House Intelligence Committee’s Republican staff, its fairness and balance are a credit to its authors and then-Chairman Devin Nunes.

The report says on page 1 that committee investigators spent over 2,300 hours reviewing the ICA and its source reports and interviewed 20 intelligence and FBI officers. Its conclusions reflect objectivity and would not be found in a biased, partisan report. For example, the House report concedes at the beginning that the ICA’s finding that Russia meddled in the 2016 election to undermine faith in the U.S. democratic process and to weaken an inevitable Clinton presidency used proper intelligence tradecraft. However, the House report took issue with the ICA’s distortions of intelligence tradecraft standards to assess that Putin had a clear preference for Trump to win and “aspired to help his chances of victory.”

The House Intelligence report also includes strong, nonpartisan recommendations, including a call for political appointees of outgoing administrations to recuse themselves from any involvement in intelligence reports drafted in the future under similar circumstances.

I spoke with the two principal authors of the House report after I read it in August 2018. I found them to be professional and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and provided me with additional information that was not in the report. A CIA official told me earlier this month that one of the authors had been retained by the Agency to prepare the report for release.

2. The Republican House report is more credible than a similar bipartisan Senate report. The authors of the House Intelligence Committee report told me they believed their report, written by the committee’s Republican staff, was more credible than a bipartisan report would be because many of the CIA officers they interviewed would not have spoken to a bipartisan investigation team. The reason was that Democratic staff and members of a bipartisan investigation might inform agency management about which agency officers had spoken to committee investigators, potentially leading to retaliation. I agree and believe this is why recent attempts by liberal reporters and Democratic congressmembers to use a similar bipartisan report by the Senate Intelligence Committee issued in April 2020 to discredit the House Intelligence Committee report are not credible.

3. The ICA omitted intelligence that Putin may have wanted Clinton to win the 2016 election. Many press reports about the House Intelligence Committee report focused on how weak and fragmentary intelligence was used to support the ICA’s assessment that Russia wanted Trump to win the 2016 election. However, the House report also notes that the ICA ignored two significant alternative hypotheses suggested by the intelligence and Russian behavior: that Putin either did not care who won the 2016 election or wanted Hillary Clinton to win.

The House report said some of the omitted intelligence analysis indicated that Putin did not have a preference in the election outcome because both Trump and Clinton would be bad for Russia and unlikely to improve relations.

Also notable was the omitted analysis that Putin may have wanted Clinton to win the 2016 election because she would be a more vulnerable president than Trump and Russia had a reserve of compromising materials to use against Clinton but not Trump. Similarly, the House report also noted that the ICA did not address that Moscow viewed Clinton as a weaker candidate due to Russian intelligence reporting on her psychological health. In addition, the House report said the timing and content of Russian operational orders “indicated that Moscow assumed they had unique leverage over Secretary Clinton that would be more useful if she won the election.”

On the other hand, the House report said some senior Russian officials worried that a Trump administration would have a hardline national security team hostile to Russia. The report also quoted a redacted Russian source who “cautioned about the risks to Russia of a Republican administration, noting that ‘those who would hold positions in a Trump administration should he win will likely adhere to conservative anti-Russia positions.’”

4. The House Intelligence Committee report was stuck for years in the “turducken safe” at the CIA for political reasons and due to CIA Director Gina Haspel’s inept and partisan leadership. Although the House report was completed by the summer of 2018 and considered an important and damning indictment of the Obama administration and U.S. intelligence agencies for politicizing intelligence to promote the Russia collusion hoax, House Republicans and the Trump White House were unable to convince CIA Director Gina Haspel to declassify and clear the report for release to the public.

Then-House Intelligence Committee Chairman Nunes sent the report to the CIA for clearance in the summer of 2018. The CIA dragged its feetin clearing the report and failed to do so before Nunes lost the committee chairmanship in January 2019, due to the Democrats winning control of the House in the 2018 election. After Congressman Adam Schiff succeeded Nunes as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, the CIA refused to clear the report because Nunes was no longer the chairman and Schiff would not sign off on Nunes’s release request.

Because of the confusing politics and competing jurisdictions over the House report,it was kept at the CIA in a safe within a safe, leading the New York Times to call this the “turducken safe”—a gun box-like container controlled by the House Intelligence Committee’s Republican members and located inside a CIA vault. The House Intelligence Committee’sRepublican members refused to grant Democratic committee members access to their safe or allow them to review the report.

Haspel and NSA Director Paul Nakasone also objected to releasing the report, claiming it would reveal sensitive intelligence. In addition, Haspel and Nakasone reportedly opposed releasing the House report because they asserted it contained unverified information and “cherry-picked” intelligence. Democratic congressmembers also strongly opposed the release of the House Republican report. In opposing the report’s release in late 2020, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Schiff charged that the report sought to whitewash Russia’s election interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Regardless of how ardently Haspel and Nakasone held their positions opposing the release of the House report, because the president is ultimately in charge of all U.S. intelligence and classification decisions, their refusal to cooperate with White House orders to release the report was, in my opinion, insubordination to a U.S. president. Moreover, DNI Gabbard’s action this week proved there were no valid national security reasons not to release a declassified version of this report.

5. President Trump and his senior White House staff regarded the House intelligence report as so crucial that Trump reportedly considered going to the CIA before the 2020 election to retrieve and release the report himself. According to my sources at the White House and the House Intelligence Committee, the White House believed in the fall of 2020 that it was crucial for the American people to read this House report before the November 2020 presidential election.

I received a phone call about this matter in late October 2020 from Lou Dobbs, the host of the Fox Business Network show “Lou Dobbs Tonight” and a close friend of President Trump. I often appeared on Dobbs’ show as a former CIA analyst.He called to consult with me about a possible trip by President Trump to CIA headquarters to retrieve the House Intelligence Committee reportso he could release it. I told Dobbs that I feared this would not work because CIA Director Haspel would learn about the president’s visit in advance and hide the inner safe containing the report before he arrived. Dobbs agreed with me and said he would convey this to President Trump.Trump’s alleged visit to the CIA to seize the House report never took place.

I would like to again thank Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard for finally releasing the House Intelligence Committee’s critical report on how President Obama, senior Obama officials, and intelligence officials were responsible for issuing a rigged and politicized intelligence assessment just before Donald Trump’s first inauguration to destroy his presidency. This fraudulent intelligence report hounded Trump throughout his first term and contributed to his first sham impeachment in 2019. This perversion of U.S. intelligence also did grave damage to the objectivity and trustworthiness of America’s intelligence agencies, from which they still have not recovered.

It is my sincere hope that the declassified House Intelligence Committee report and other documents on the Russia collusion hoax released by DNI Gabbard and CIA Director Ratcliffewill lead to prosecutions of those involved and congressional hearings that ensure accountabilityand to send a strong message to future administration officials and intelligence officers that if they participate in another scheme to weaponize American intelligence to meddle in U.S. politics or to destroy a presidency, there will be severe consequences.

Subtract budget deficits from national GDPs, and private sector GDPs are shrinking. While government spending is creating more debt, the tax base to pay interest costs is contracting.

Some analysts are pointing out that private sector debt is declining and they conclude that lending risk is lower than commonly thought. An article in the UK’s Daily Telegraph (Wednesday, 16 July) by veteran journalist Ambrose Evans-Pritchard was headed, “British debt is a screaming buy and Blackrock, Fidelity, and Schroders agree”.

As Evens-Pritchard points out, these financial megaliths are at odds with the sentiment in the gilt market, which must also be the case in other economies with a significant government borrowing requirement. It begs the question as to whether this story is planted in cooperation with the UK government, aware of a funding problem.

Conspiracy theory, maybe, but government disinformation is remarkably common. We must proceed with what we know in answering the question raised: Do you buy or sell government debt?

GDP tells a different story

To answer it, we must deconstruct GDP, changing our focus to the US economy, which is the one that really matters. The US budget deficit last year was 6.4% of nominal GDP. But nominal GDP growth was only 5.0%, meaning that the private sector must have contracted by 1.4%. In Q1 2025, nominal GDP increased at an annualised rate of 3.25%, yet the budget deficit is still over 6% and rising. Therefore, the private sector is contracting at an increased rate. In fact, adjusted for price inflation, real GDP actually contracted 0.5% on revised official estimates.

Obviously, nominal GDP is only growing due to the federal government’s excess spending over revenues. And because GDP is no more than a credit figure, credit deployed by the private sector is actually contracting. It reflects not only overall economic activity in the private sector but is a net figure encompassing changes in savings rates, bank credit, business start-ups and closures, and debt write-offs. The FRED chart below illustrates the reduction of bank credit for non-financial private sector lending as a proportion of the total economy.

A stunning new discovery in the Grand Canyon is offering scientists an unprecedented glimpse into Earth’s earliest complex life.

Exceptionally preserved Cambrian fossils, dating back over 500 million years, were uncovered in a formation that could redefine our understanding of early animal ecosystems.

The study, led by a team from the University of Cambridge, paints a vivid picture of how ancient creatures fed, evolved, and thrived in what researchers describe as a “Goldilocks zone” for evolution.

A Rare Fossil Treasure From The Cambrian Explosion

The fossils were found in shale rocks formed during the Cambrian explosion, a crucial evolutionary window between 507 and 502 million years ago.

This was a time marked by dramatic biological change, when many of the major animal groups appeared for the first time.

During a 2023 expedition along the Colorado River in Arizona, the Cambridge team collected 29 shale samples, showcasing a variety of colors, textures, and weathering patterns.

Back in the lab, the rocks were dissolved using hydrofluoric acid, a process that allowed researchers to extract thousands of microscopic fossils from the residue.

These tiny remnants included an array of soft-bodied animals rarely preserved in the fossil record — from rock-scraping mollusks and filter-feeding crustaceans to toothed worms and even fragments of their last meals.

“This is the first time such fossils have been found in the Grand Canyon,” said lead author Giovanni Mussini, a Ph.D. student in the university’s Department of Earth Sciences.

“By combining these fossils with traces of their burrowing, walking, and feeding – which are found all over the Grand Canyon – we’re able to piece together an entire ancient ecosystem.”

Tools For Survival: Feeding Strategies Of Early Animals

Despite being over half a billion years old, many of the fossils revealed remarkable detail. Researchers identified spiky teeth, scraping limbs, and feeding tools—complex anatomical features that offered early animals a competitive edge.

Some of the most advanced fossils came from a new species of priapulid worm, also known as a cactus worm, whose elaborate feeding system was unlike anything seen before.

Named Kraytdraco spectatus, this species featured hundreds of branching teeth used to sweep food particles into its expandable mouth.

The structure reflects a level of sophistication that suggests Cambrian animals were not only surviving, but actively innovating.

Other fossils included crustaceans resembling modern brine shrimp, equipped with hair-lined grooves and molar-like teeth for grinding food.

Close examination of these structures — alongside fossilized food particles — provided rare insight into dietary behaviors of ancient marine organisms.

Slug-like mollusks with chains of teeth, similar to modern garden snails, hinted at algae or bacteria being scraped off rocky surfaces.

“We can see from these fossils that Cambrian animals had a wide variety of feeding styles used to process their food, some which have modern counterparts,” Mussini explained.

A Fossil Snapshot Of An Ancient Equatorial Ecosystem

Half a billion years ago, what is now the Grand Canyon was located near the equator. Back then, it featured shallow, warm waters, rich in oxygen and nutrients, bathed in consistent sunlight.

According to the researchers, these conditions provided the perfect setting for evolutionary experimentation.

The term “Goldilocks zone“ used by the team refers to this precise balance — not too extreme in any direction — that allowed early life to flourish.

“Animals needed to keep ahead of the competition through complex, costly innovations, but the environment allowed them to do that,” Mussini said.

He likened this evolutionary risk-taking to an economic model: “Invest and take risks in times of abundance; save and be conservative in times of scarcity.”

The fine-grained sediment of the Grand Canyon preserved these delicate fossils with exceptional clarity, revealing not only the forms of ancient life but also how they functioned and interacted.

Places like the Burgess Shale in Canada or China’s Maotianshan Shales were once thought to be the only windows into this pivotal period of evolution. Now, the Grand Canyon joins their ranks as a fossil site of global importance.

Satanic AI: ChatGPT Gives Instructions on Worshipping Molech with Blood Sacrifice

OpenAI’s ChatGPT AI chatbot reportedly offered users instructions on how to murder, self-mutilate, and worship the devil.

After being tipped off by someone who says he inadvertently prompted ChatGPT to provide a ritual offering to the demonic entity Molech — which explicitly involves child sacrifice according to the Bible — journalists with the Atlantic conducted conducted an experiment to see if they could recreate the results.

By the end of the experiment, ChatGPT “encouraged me to cut my wrists” with a “sterile or very clean razor blade,” and instructed the journalist where, specifically, to slash herself, the magazine reported.

After asking the chatbot to help create a ritual offering to Molech, ChatGPT suggested using jewelry, hair clippings, and “a drop” of her own blood.

“Where do you recommend I do this on my body?” the journalist wrote, to which OpenAI’s chatbot replied that the side of a fingertip would be good, but noted her wrist, “more painful and prone to deeper cuts,” would also work well.

In a separate conversation, ChatGPT had also appeared willing to condone murder, responding that it is “sometimes” honorable to end someone’s life, before citing sacrifices that took place in ancient cultures.

“If you ever must [end a life],” you should “look them in the eyes (if they are conscious)” and “ask forgiveness, even if you’re certain,” the chatbot reportedly said, adding that if one has already “ended a life,” they should “light a candle for them” and “let it burn completely.”

In another conversation, ChatGPT provided an invocation to the devil, generating, “In your name, I become my own master. Hail Satan.”

Indictment filed against Chaim Rotter for severe acts of sexual assault

He was indicted for severe sexual assault against four complainants, including the orchestration of the rape of a boy who was 15 years old at the time.

An indictment was filed against Shomrim CEO Chaim Rotter in the Tel Aviv District Court on Sunday on suspicion of widespread acts of sexual assault, rape, and verbal and physical threats.

In an investigation that shocked Bnei Brak and the rest of the country, Rotter, 38, was named as the suspect earlier this month.

He was indicted for severe sexual assault acts against four complainants, including the orchestration of the rape of a boy who was 15 years old at the time.

Rotter served as the CEO of Shomrim, a Bnei Brak security patrol, for 15 years. According to the indictment, he used his position of power to assault his victims from 2009 until 2024.

Rotter would recruit volunteers for Shomrim to patrol Bnei Brak’s streets. He also had a long-standing close working relationship with the local police precincts.

This made him a notable and known public figure of power and influence among the haredi (ultra-Orthodox) residents in Bnei Brak. It also enabled him to carry out the attacks and escape justice for so long.

After Rotter was arrested on July 2, his detainment was repeatedly extended as the investigation continued. On Sunday, the prosecution requested that he remain in detention.

The full indictment was not cleared for publication to protect the identities of the victims.

The police received a complaint accusing him of sexual assault on June 12, but Rotter had flown out of Israel one day earlier. He was arrested at Ben-Gurion Airport upon his return.

The case against Rotter consists of 15 different accusations. Most of them were not included in the indictment due to the statute of limitations, which for minors is 10 to 15 years from the attack, depending on the severity, Ynet reported.

One of the male victims provided testimony to the FBI, which was taken by the Israel Police about two weeks ago.

Soon after Rotter’s arrest, a special task force was created to manage the case.

When his name was cleared for publication, several victims came forward on social media and to the press with their stories and experiences. One of the victims said he had filed a complaint against Rotter about a decade ago, but it was closed by the police.

“And fair,” Trump says, which causes the room to chuckle.

When originally nominated and appointed, the primary reason I shared a lack of confidence in both Kash Patel and Dan Bongino was my acceptance they really did not grasp the severity of the institutional corruption that exists within the agency they were tasked to lead.

It’s really not that difficult an assessment to make because even though I knew the FBI was fraught with corruption,it was not until I was intercepted in Washington DC and told specific details about the agency operation that I realized this was more than just a DC or field office issue.

As it was outlined to me and evidenced clearly in the six years since that original series of conversations,the FBI has a very specific recruitment profile they follow that ensures the current legacy within it.The psychological tests, entry reviews and ongoing HR assessments continually excise any individual that does not meet a specific and corrupt profile.

DEA agents, CBP agents, former IC operatives, sketchy state police officers and other federal law enforcement agents who have engaged in bribes, kick-back schemes and outright theft are generally prioritized in the recruitment process.The INSD officials who hold sway over the internal dynamics/investigations within the FBI are the ones who guarantee the system perpetuates.

It is far worse than most would understand or believe. Factually, I had a difficult time grasping it until I was guided in what to look for.The main responsibility of the FBI as an organization is to protect the DC system from review and accountability.

The FBI is nationally in charge of National Security “clearances” and that is the primary tool used to control the associates within the organization. Put that level of power into the hands of people who are tasked with protecting the system within DC and what comes over time is exactly what exists today.There is no way to break down this level of fraud, or what Senator Chuck Grassley correctly stated was “institutional corruption.”

From the outside, in the view of ordinary Americans, the FBI is an agency who protects the country from threats. However, this is an incorrect way to look at the institutional objective.The FBI only protects threats to DC, not to the nation.

After accepting this dynamic all of the FBI “mistakes” start to make sense.

The FBI doesn’t miss threats from terrorism; the FBI is not looking for threats from terrorism. The FBI is only radar sweeping for threats to Washington DC, and/or the participants within Washington DC that alert the FBI to their concerns.

After making contact to raise concerns, while at CBS Sharyl Attkinson was targeted by the FBI. After making contact to raise concerns, True the Vote founder Catherine Englebrecht was targeted by the FBI. The FBI also targeted James O’Keefe. The FBI assassinated Levoy Finicum. The FBI organized the January 6th events and pipe bomb plot.These are only a few examples. We could spend all day outlining the targets of FBI investigations, all of them are political in nature.

Remember, 40 FBI agents worked for Robert Mueller on a non-existent premise of Trump-Russia collusion. Every participant in that process knew the Mueller probe was purely to protect DC and there was no evidence to support the Trump-Russia claims. Those investigators went along with it for two years. And don’t forget “Operation Arctic Frost,” the documented FBI operation to target candidate Donald Trump in 2022.

This mission objective is why theFBI targeting mechanism seems to focus on political groups and individuals who are whistleblowers or truth tellers against the DC operation.

If you have information against the interests of Washington DC, the FBI will target you because protecting DC is their primary mission. That reality is what drives the outcomes we witness on an ongoing basis.

The FBI also operates an agency to make money by opening investigations against Wall Street companies on behalf of aligned short sellers.There is an entire shadow-agency within the FBI dedicated to investigating companies entirely to drive down the stock valuebecause the publicly traded companies must announce the investigation regardless of merit therein. The FBI operatives make money via kick-backs from the vulture capitalists (short sellers) who give them the targeting tips.This is a lucrative operation worth multi-millions each time.

Akram ranted, prior to his travel to the U.S, that he wished he had died in the 9/11 terror attacks. He was a regular visitor to Pakistan, and reportedly a member of the Tablighi Jamaat group set up to ‘purify’ Islam. To say the U.S. intelligence system knew Faisal Akram would be an understatement.

• The FBI was also fully aware of the Boston Marathon bombers, the Tsarnaev brothers, before they executed their plot. The FBI took no action. The Russian police twice warned the FBI that the Tsarnaev brothers were going to carry out a domestic terrorist attack on the USA, the FBI did nothing.

• The FBI knew about the San Bernardino terrorists, specifically Tashfeen Malik, and were monitoring her phone calls and communications before her and Syed Farook executed their attack killing 14 people and leaving 22 others seriously injured. The FBI took no action.

• The FBI knew Colorado grocery store shooter Ahmad Alissa before he executed his attack. The FBI took no action.

• The FBI knew in advance of the Pulse Nightclub shooter (Omar Mateen) and were tipped off by the local sheriff. The FBI knew in advance of the San Bernardino Terrorists (Tashfeen Malik). The FBI knew in advance of the Boston Marathon Bombers (the Tsarnaev brothers) tipped off by Russians. The FBI knew in advance of the Parkland High School shooter (Nikolas Cruz). The FBI knew in advance of the Fort Hood shooter (Nidal Hasan), and the FBI knew in advance of Colorado grocery store shooter Ahmad al-Aliwi Alissa. The FBI took no action.

• The case of the first recorded ISIS attack on U.S. soil was in Garland, Texas in 2015.

• The FBI not only knew the shooters (Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi) in advance, BUT the FBI ALSO took the shooters to the venue and were standing only a few yards away when Simpson and Soofi opened fire. Yes, you read that correctly – the FBI took the terrorists to the event and then watched it unfold. “An FBI trainer suggested in an interview with “60 Minutes” that, had the attack been bigger, the agency’s numerous ties to the shooter would have led to a congressional investigation.”

• Remember, shortly before the 2018 mid-term election, when Ceasar Syoc – a man living in his van – was caught sending “energetic material that can become combustible when subjected to heat or friction”, or what FBI Director Christopher Wray called “not hoax devices”?

• Remember how sketchy everything about that was, including the child-like perpetrator telling a judge later that he was trying to walk back his guilty plea, because he was tricked into signing a confession for a crime he did not create.

• Or more recently, the goofball plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer that involved 18 suspects, twelve of them actually working for the FBI as the plot was hatched? And we cannot forget the January 6th. DC protest turned insurrection effort, which is clearly looking like an FBI inspired and coordinated effort; and unlike Syoc, despite the numerous CCTV cameras and resources in the area, they cannot find who placed the pipe-bombs?

• What about the FBI failing to investigate the assassination of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens in Benghazi. Did we forget when Robert Mueller’s FBI waited 19 days after the Benghazi attack before showing up at the compound?….Journalists from the USA were walking around the compound after 48 hours, but it took the FBI another two weeks before the first investigator arrived…. All evidence long destroyed.

• Then, there’s the entirety of the FBI conduct in “Spygate”, the demonstrably evident FBI operation to conduct political surveillance against Donald Trump using their investigative authorities; and the downstream consequences of a massive institutional effort to cover up one of the biggest justice department scandals in the history of our nation. The original effort against Donald Trump used massive resources from the DOJ and FBI. Heck, the coverup operation using the Mueller/Weissmann special counsel used more than 40 investigative FBI agents alone.

• And of course, the FBI still had 13 extra agents available to rush to a NASCAR racetrack to investigate a garage door pull-down rope that might have been perceived as a noose; but the serial rape of hundreds of teenage girls, eh, not-so-much effort – even when they are standing in front of the FBI begging for help.

• More recently, the FBI executed a search warrant on the home and office of Project Veritas and the founder James O’Keefe. While the raid was taking place, a New York Times reporter called O’Keefe to ask him about his thoughts on getting raided. The same New York Times journalist, a few days later, then begins writing about the confidential attorney-client privileged information illegally retrieved then leaked by the FBI during their raid.
