Pending home sales decreased in March for the first time since November 2022, according to the National Association of REALTORS®. Three U.S. regions posted monthly losses, while the South increased. All four regions saw year-over-year declines in transactions.

The Pending Home Sales Index (PHSI)* – a forward-looking indicator of home sales based on contract signings – waned by 5.2% to 78.9 in March. Year over year, pending transactions dropped by 23.2%. An index of 100 is equal to the level of contract activity in 2001. "The lack of housing inventory is a major constraint to rising sales," said NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun. "Multiple offers are still occurring on about a third of all listings, and 28% of homes are selling above list price. Limited housing supply is simply not meeting demand nationally." The Northeast PHSI fell 8.1% from last month to 66.6, a decline of 24.3% from March 2022. The Midwest index dropped 10.7% to 75.7 in March, down 21.5% from one year ago. The South PHSI improved 0.2% to 99.6 in March, falling 19.8% from the prior year. The West index decreased 8.0% in March to 59.4, reducing 32.2% from March 2022.

This is way below expectations of a 1.0% decrease for this index. Note: Contract signings usually lead sales by about 45 to 60 days, so this would usually be for closed sales in April and May.

Even though Fox News star Tucker Carlson’s interview with Kanye West was so expansive that it ran during both his Thursday and Friday night broadcasts, it appears the far-right cable host left out plenty of newsworthy footage, Motherboard reported on Tuesday.

These segments of the interview omitted from the final broadcasts showed the rap superstar, now known as Ye, casually peddling antisemitism while making strange claims about “fake children” used to manipulate his own kids.

West also revealed that he has been vaccinated against COVID-19, something the anti-vaccine Carlson opted to leave out of the broadcast.

Last week, before West went on an antisemitic tantrum on social media, he was welcomed on Carlson’s show to discuss the backlash he faced for donning a “White Lives Matter” shirt alongside right-wing provocateur Candace Owens at Paris Fashion Week.

In the interview that aired on Fox News, Carlson presented West as a conservative folk hero, praising his “interesting, deep, provocative” observations on politics and social issues, even shrugging off concerns about West’s mental-health issues and documented struggles with bipolar disorder.

“Have I reached Alex Jones territory yet?” West wondered at one point after wildly suggesting that “people at The Gap” knew about the Uvalde school shooting ahead of time.

“No, I think you’re telling the truth and that’s OK if you do,” a credulous Carlson responded.

In the days following the interview’s broadcast, which also featured him defending his embrace of the white supremacist slogan “White Lives Matter” slogan because he found it “funny,” West has been under fire for making blatantly antisemitic threats against Jewish people. He has since been locked out of both his Instagram and Twitter accounts.

While Fox News has attempted to do an awkward about-face on West following his hateful comments, Carlson has ignored the controversy altogether, continuing to celebrate the MAGA-aligned rapper alongside Owens.

But thanks to the footage obtained by Vice, we now know that before West promised online to go “death con 3” on “JEWISH PEOPLE” and suggested fellow hip-hop icon Diddy is controlled by Jews, he spewed antisemitic tropes to Carlson, but none of it ever made it to air.

“When I say Jew, I mean the 12 lost tribes of Judah, the blood of Christ, who the people known as the race Black really are. This is who our people are. The blood of Christ. This, as a Christian, is my belief,” West told Carlson in one of the clips obtained by Vice—after claiming Planned Parenthood was founded alongside the KKK to “control the Jew population.”

DALLAS (LifeSiteNews) — Southwest Airlines’ legal troubles over its discrimination against a pro-life flight attendant continued recently when a federal judge denied the company’s request for a new trial.

Charlene Carter previously won a $5.1 million judgment against Southwest and the Transportation Workers Union of America (TWU) in July 2022 after she was fired from her job six years ago for objecting to her local union’s support for abortion, as LifeSiteNews previously reported.

District Judge Brantley Starr also recently ordered Southwest to turn over documents, as Carter’s attorneys allege the airline is not following the jury’s decision.

Now Judge Starr delivered more bad news for Southwest, as he rejected a request for a new trial.

Judge Starr first pointed out Southwest’s hypocritical stances on whether a jury should have been allowed to see a separate arbitration decision.

He wrote:

Southwest contends it was prejudiced because the jury wasn’t given the decision—indicating that it thinks the jury would have reached a different conclusion if it had the arbitration decision. But on the other hand, Southwest says a limiting instruction could have made everything right by telling the jury it couldn’t defer to the arbitrator in reaching its decision here. Both can’t be right. Had the Court allowed the arbitration decision, it would have issued a limiting instruction, which would have prevented the jury from merely copying the arbitration decision for its decision in this case. Accordingly, the Court did not abuse its discretion in excluding the arbitrator’s decision, and there is no basis for a judgment as a matter of law or a new trial.

The company, Judge Starr wrote, has admitted it fired Carter for her religious beliefs against abortion, which she shared with others. “Carter holds a religious belief that abortion is wrong and that she must do whatever she can — including sending the communications at issue — to save unborn children,” the judge wrote. “And, as Southwest concedes, it fired her because it considered those communications to be ‘policy violations’ and viewed those policies as conditions of Carter’s employment.”

He also criticized Southwest’s antipathy toward people of faith.

“Southwest’s argument is this: companies can sacrifice the faith of their employees on the altar of company policy because some employees dislike people of faith,” he wrote. “Southwest’s interpretation of the ‘undue hardship’ standard for providing religious accommodations is as disturbing as it is deficient.”

Three demonstrators are charged with contempt of a person holding public authority and could be jailed for a year

Three protesters from the commune of Selestat face criminal charges after making obscene gestures at French President Emmanuel Macron during his visit to the town last Wednesday. The trio have pleaded guilty to contempt of a person holding public authority, prosecutor Catherine Sorita-Minard of the town of Colmar announced on Saturday.

For giving their leader “le doigt” – the middle finger – the two men and a woman may bepunished with up to a year in prison and €15,000 fine. The protestors, none of whom have any criminal history, are between the ages of 23 and 42. They will go to trial in September. A fourth person was also arrested but has not been charged due to insufficient evidence, Sorita-Minard said.

Macron has faced strong opposition as he travels the country trying to convince his constituents of the merits of the pension reform package he signed into law earlier this month in the face of opposition from two thirds of the electorate. The law raises the retirement age by two years and extends the period of employment necessary to receive a full pension.

Protesters banging on pots and pans have drowned out the president’s speeches at appearances throughout the Alsace region. Police in the village of Ganges actually confiscated saucepans from the backpacks of demonstrators, declaring them forbidden “portable sound devices” based on a regulation hurriedly passed just hours before Macron arrived, and the president has reportedly been forced to travel with a generator truck due to unions shutting off power to the areas where he is speaking.

Last month, a Yellow Vest protester from St. Martin with no criminal history was charged with contempt of a person holding public authority for allegedly writing “Macron ordure”(Macron trash) on a wall in Arques and referring to the president as trash in a social media post. Last week, French publisher Ernest Moret was arrested on anti-terrorism charges upon his arrival in London for his alleged involvement in protests at home.

Macron’s approval ratings hit rock bottom last week, with just 26% of respondentsto a BVA poll for RTL voicing a favorable opinion of the president. He has nevertheless vowed not to back down on pension reform, ordering his government to “restore peace” over the next 100 days. At the same time, the protesters have vowed to stand their ground, promising “100 days of action and anger” and threatening to cut the power to major events such as the Cannes film festival and the Monaco Grand Prix.

The Gross Domestic Product report shows a much slower pace of growth compared to the previous two quarters, and the rate fell below economists’ expectations of 2%.

The NXIVM Corporation was based in the New York Capital District and had centers throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.[7][8] The subsidiary companies of NXIVM recruited based on the multi-level marketing model and used curricula based on the intellectual property ("tech") of Raniere called "Rational Inquiry".[9] Courses attracted a variety of notable students including actors as well as the children of the rich and powerful.[10][11] At its height, NXIVM had 700 active members.[12]

Over its existence, former members and families of NXIVM clients alarmed by Raniere's behavior and NXIVM's practices spoke to investigative journalists of Forbes, Vanity Fair, The New York Observer, and the Times Union of Albany calling the organization a "cult". The organization was criticized in similar terms by Rick Alan Ross of the Cult Education Institute and activists and academics from the anti-cult movement.[13][14][15][16] In 2017, former members Sarah Edmondson, Bonnie Piesse and Mark Vicente, as well as Catherine Oxenberg (mother of member India Oxenberg) spoke to The New York Times and revealed grave concerns about Keith Raniere and NXIVM, including the existence of a secret society called "DOS" in which women were branded, made to record false confessions and provide nude photographs for blackmail.

According to Canadian astronomers, Earth has received numerous radio signals from space, some of which are suspected to be messages from extraterrestrial sources, NY Post reported. As per the report, 50 of the messages are said to be coming from “repeating sources”.

Canadian astronomers discover thousands of deep space radio signals reaching Earth

The Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment has reported the discovery of 25 new repeating sources. They are also referred to as fast radio bursts (FRBs), originating from the depths of the universe. The experiment employs a powerful radio telescope in British Columbia to capture these signals.

The CHIME/FRB collaboration has labeled these FRBs as “one of the biggest mysteries in astronomy.” Yet, there is concrete evidence indicating that they came from a location beyond the Milky Way galaxy.

“Most of the thousands of FRBs that astronomers have discovered to date have only ever been seen to burst once. But there is a small subset that have been seen to burst multiple times,” the collaboration stated.

“One of the big questions is whether the repeating FRBs and those that don’t repeat have similar origins.”

Dr. Ziggy Pleunis unveils significant revelation about enigmatic FRBs

According to Dr. Ziggy Pleunis, who authored the study, the recently published research revealed that some of the enigmatic FRBs were not arbitrary signal emissions.

“We can now accurately calculate the probability that two or more bursts coming from similar locations are not just a coincidence,” Dr. Pleunis said.

This technology’s progress has provided Earth’s leading experts with greater insight into what lies ahead.

The development of the CHIME telescope, which has the ability to scan the northern sky daily, has resulted in an increased interception rate of FRBs “from a few tens, to thousands in recent years.”

The repeating sources of FRBs are considered to be of “uniquely valuable” criteria to astronomers as they can be reobserved in greater detail.

Firstly, identifying a source as a repeater allows it to be observed in greater detail with other telescopes. Secondly, a larger number of bursts provides a more comprehensive understanding of the range of emissions that a particular source can produce.

“FRBs are likely produced by the leftovers from explosive stellar deaths.” Pleunis added. “By studying repeating FRB sources in detail, we can study the environments that these explosions occur in and understand better the end stages of a star’s life.”
