Neo-Nazi Maniac Who Planned to Shoot Up Synagogue Was Given His Guns by Law Enforcement

Former U.S. Marine Matthew Belanger is a maniacal psychopath who reportedly belonged to a Neo-Nazi group called “Rapekrieg” which planned to carry out a mass shooting on a Synagogue. Kicked out of the Marine Corps over his affiliation with Neo-Nazis, Belanger was barred from purchasing firearms but that didn’t stop him from obtaining two of them.

Fortunately, Belanger was outed by a fellow member of the “Rapekrieg” group before he was able to commit mass murder. However, the details surrounding his case lay the groundwork for wild conspiracy theories — especially since it was a New York police officer who supplied Belanger with the guns to carry out the shooting.

An explosive article in Rolling Stone lays out Belanger’s story in shocking detail, up to and including the mission of the Rapekrieg Neo-Nazi group in which Belanger was a member and author of the group’s manifesto.

According to court documents, reported on by Rolling Stone, while he was in the Marine Corps, Belanger was plotting a killing spree against minorities and to rape “white women to increase the production of white children,” according to federal prosecutors.

In a July 14 court memo, federal prosecutors say that while a Marine, Belanger plotted far more serious crimes as part of the neo-Nazi group. The memo says Belanger trained with airsoft guns in the woods of Long Island as part of a plot to attack the “Zionist Order of Governments.” The memo also says Belanger was the subject of an FBI Joint Terrorism Taskforce investigation into allegedly plotting to “engage in widespread homicide and sexual assault.” Much of Belanger’s ideology and plotting, the memo says, is based around a desire to lessen the number of nonwhite Americans and to rape “white women to increase the production of white children.”

One would think that pursuing the mission of raping white women and murdering minorities would set off red flags for law enforcement and one would be right. Belanger was well known to law enforcement, according to court documents, but that didn’t stop law enforcement from illegally arming the racist Marine.

According to the report, in October 2020, Marine Corps officials and the FBI searched Belanger’s Marine Corps barracks housing and his electronic devices. They found “1,950 images, videos and documents related to white power groups, Nazi literature, brutality towards the Jewish community, brutality towards women, rape, mass murderers,” along with “violent uncensored executions and/or rape” and “previous mass murderers such as Dylan Roof.”

Given these revelations and Belanger’s desire to carry out mass harm, the last thing a police officer should do, is arm him. But that is exactly what happened. According to the court documents, an officer with the NYPD purchased two firearms for Belanger — who was barred from purchasing his own weapons.

Adding to the already-suspect nature of this situation, authorities have given the New York officer anonymity and no mention of charges have been made in the documents. The officer is alleged to have illegally purchased two firearms, one of which was a PTR .308 and the other, a Luger pistol. Belanger specifically sought the Luger because of its association with the Nazis.

The unnamed officer willingly obliged Belanger, according to text transcripts in the court documents.

Flores ran from a cameraman asking about her vote for amnesty and went on to tweet that it's 'not okay' to question members of Congress on their votes

Mexican-born Texas GOP Representative Mayra Flores, whose recent special election victory in a historically blue border district has been heavily touted by the GOP establishment, voted to give amnesty to hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals, supporting a Democrat amendment to sneak a visa giveaway into this year’s National Defense Authorization Act. When confronted on video over her vote, Flores ran away as others called for the cameraman to be escorted out of the building, accusing him of being a “white nationalist” for questioning her vote.

Texas Rep. Mayra Flores joined 61 other GOP members of Congress in crossing party lines to vote with Democrats on adding amnesty provisions to the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Under the amnesty amendment, extended visas will be issued to the adult children of Indian tech workers who take high-paying corporate jobs from Americans in exchange for green cards and lower wages. Under current laws, those workers can get visas for their children who are under the age of 21, but they must return to their home nation after reaching adulthood. If they refuse, they become an illegal alien.

Under the Democrat amendment supported by Flores and 61 other GOP’ers, those adult children will be granted new visas, and the ability to remain in the United States with a potential pathway to citizenship, delivering the benefits of both amnesty and chain migration to a group some are calling “documented dreamers.”

Though Flores has publicly denied that the amendment constitutes amnesty, immigration watchdog group NumbersUSA refuted her talking points, with Policy Director Rosemary Jenks telling Breitbart that the “whole point” of the amendment is to give the foreign tech workers’ adult children a legal “status that they don’t deserve before they become illegal.”

In video footage recorded and posted to social media by America First activist Nick Taurus, Rep. Mayra Flores refuses to answer for her vote, using a crowd to shield her as she is quickly ushered behind a closed door.

“Mayra, why did you and 61 other House Republicans vote for amnesty for documented dreamers?” he asked a fleeing Flores, as a finger-waving GOP’er ordered him to be escorted out of the building, repeatedly accusing him of being a “white nationalist” for questioning her vote in favor of mass migration.

Some costs associated with the ceremony — like security — will be picked up by taxpayers, but the Biden family will pay the tab for wedding activities.

Her dad, Hunter Biden, is under investigation by the Justice Department for his foreign business relationships in China and Ukraine dating from the time his father was serving as vice president in the Obama administration.

The investigation, led by the US Attorney’s Office in Delaware, is looking into whether the first son and his associates violated money laundering and foreign lobbying laws.

And the scandals swirling around Hunter Biden may lead back to the president.

Anthony Fauci’s National Institutes of Health agency has sent hundreds of thousands of dollars to China-based laboratories with deep ties to the regime’s military, including facilities that have worked with the Wuhan Institue of Virology on bat coronavirus research, The National Pulse can reveal.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant database shows two studies that have received funds from Fauci’s agency in 2022 so far: “Antigen discovery for transmission-blocking vaccines in Plasmodium vivax” and “Impacts of Urbanization on Vector Biology and Transmission of Dengue in China.”

The first study, which focuses on research into “transmission-blocking vaccines” for malaria-endemic nations, has received $135,000 from Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in 2022.

“This project seeks to use a comprehensive antigen discovery pathway, including antigen identification through genome-wide immunological screening, validation in rodent malaria model, and further evaluation in P. vivax, to identify new transmission-blocking vaccine candidates for vivax malaria,” explains a project summary.

The grant was distributed to China Medical University, which is entirely controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, and formerly known as the Peasants Red Army Military Medical School. It is the only medical institution to have participated in the “Long March” in 1934 with the Red Army of the Chinese Communist Party.

Similarly, the second study, which focuses on the spread of Dengue fever in China, counts $132,912 going to China’s Southern Medical University (SMU).

Formerly known as First Military Medical University, SMU falls under the jurisdiction of the Military Committee of PLA, according to its own website. Professors, as well as entire institutes, have received awards from various branches of the PLA including its General Logistics Department.

US, Ukraine Sign New Agreement Expanding Cybersecurity Cooperation

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and Ukraine’s cybersecurity agency signed an agreement this week aimed at bolstering collaboration between the two nations on shared cybersecurity priorities, CISA said.

CISA’s signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with the Ukrainian State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP) aims to strengthen cooperation between the two in a number of areas, including information exchanges and the sharing of best practices on cyber incidents.

It will also expand upon the two agencies’ existing relationship with regard to sharing key data on critical infrastructure, and allow for shared cybersecurity training and joint exercises.

CISA Director Jen Easterly praised the agreement deepening the agency’s cybersecurity collaboration with Ukraine in a statement on Wednesday.

She also applauded Ukraine’s efforts to defend the country amid its ongoing invasion by Russian forces.

“I applaud Ukraine’s heroic efforts to defend its nation against unprecedented Russian cyber aggression and have been incredibly moved by the resiliency and bravery of the Ukrainian people throughout this unprovoked war,” said Easterly.

“Cyber threats cross borders and oceans, and so we look forward to building on our existing relationship with SSSCIP to share information and collectively build global resilience against cyber threats.”

Slew of Cyberattacks

Russia has reportedly attacked both Ukrainian and American cyber networks and infrastructure in the past, with the country allegedly being behind the SolarWinds technology hack in 2020, which left several agencies, including the Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security, Energy, Treasury, and Commerce compromised.

Russian officials have denied that they were behind that attack, with the Russian foreign ministry stating that the country “does not conduct offensive operations in the cyber domain.”

In early January, prior to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s so-called “special military operation” in Ukraine, the latter nation accused Russia of being behind a cyberattack that defaced its government websites, alleging that Moscow was engaged in a “hybrid war” against its neighbor.

A group of far-left progressives has launched a legal challenge against four school districts in Florida for their adherence to the Parental Rights in Education legislation recently signed into law by Governor Ron Desantis.

The legislation prohibits educators from having conversations with students K-3 involving sexual orientation or gender identity, without express parental permission.

Now, a woman is leading the charge against the removal of filthy pornographic novels in Florida schools. Her name is Jen Cousins, who before castigating public officials for removing tomes that include abhorrent text and graphic pictorial representations of sometimes pedophiliac sex acts, she was a leader of the Mask Up OCPS group in Orange County, Florida that demanded students and employees of said schools remain in a permanent state of mask-wearing and forced vaccination of public employees.

According to the lawsuit, which is being handled by the SPLC and the Lambda Legal Center, the Parental Rights in Education law, which Democrats have deemed the “Don’t Say Gay”, was enacted to shame and silence LGBT students and families. Lambda Legal infamously published a book in the 90’s titled “Little Black Book,” which included tips and tricks for LGBT youth and men on how to safely engage in anonymous sex in public parks or places, training them on how to subvert undercover law enforcement trying to shut down these dangerous encounters, which can involve unprotected sex between adults and even interactions between minors and adults.

A lawsuit against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi alleges that Democrats have created an unofficial staffing group to provide members on the Committee on Oversight & Reform with consultants and policy advisors who aren’t vetted by the committee.

A consulting group providing advice to the committee, Co-Equal, allegedly has funding ties to leftist billionaire George Soros.

“The lawsuit is about records. But what we already know suggests that what the records show is even more important,” said Matthew Hardin, attorney for the plaintiff. “We anticipate that the records are going to show the House Oversight Committee members compelling testimony, while warnings of subpoenas and perjury charges are being provided by private 'staff' or consultants to assist the campaign outside of the legally-permissible funding process.

"If so, that's allowing donors to weaponize Congress and in violation of House Rules and federal law. It is also a case about what Congress appears to be doing, which is allowing private staffing and private funding of investigations of political and ideological opponents.”

The complaint was filed on behalf of Virginia radio show host Rob Schilling in U.S. District Court in the District of Columba accusing Pelosi, House Clerk Cheryl L. Johnston, and House Chief Administrative Officer Catherine Szpindor of violating House Rules by using private donations to pay outside consultants and policy advisors who then support the official business of congressional offices of Democratic members of the committee.

Hardin said the mission of Co-Equal is to provide consulting resources to Congress to replace staff reduced by trimming Congress's budget.

"Co-Equal is privately financed by the biggest names among politically motivated, wealthy individuals," Hardin told Legal Newsline. "They are 'staffing' Congress off-books, and specifically to investigate perceived opponents of the agenda promoted by these wealthy donors who provided the non-staff with 'staff' to guide the pursuit. In a way that not only, on its face, appears to plainly violate House Rules and federal statute but also is an unseemly unconstitutional stretch of Congress's permissible investigative role. Hence, the view that this represents weaponization of Congress and the weaponization of congressional investigative powers.”

Hardin said Soros's involvement with Co-Equal is indirect.

Former Republicans and Democrats form new third U.S. political party

Dozens of former Republican and Democratic officials announced on Wednesday a new national political third party to appeal to millions of voters they say are dismayed with what they see as America's dysfunctional two-party system.

The new party, called Forward and whose creation was first reported by Reuters, will initially be co-chaired by former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang and Christine Todd Whitman, the former Republican governor of New Jersey. They hope the party will become a viable alternative to the Republican and Democratic parties that dominate U.S. politics, founding members told Reuters.

Party leaders will hold a series of events in two dozen cities this autumn to roll out its platform and attract support. They will host an official launch in Houston on Sept. 24 and the party's first national convention in a major U.S. city next summer.

The new party is being formed by a merger of three political groups that have emerged in recent years as a reaction to America's increasingly polarized and gridlocked political system. The leaders cited a Gallup poll last year showing a record two-thirds of Americans believe a third party is needed.

The merger involves the Renew America Movement, formed in 2021 by dozens of former officials in the Republican administrations of Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. A now-infamous LGBT NGO has been left scrambling to clarify one of its tweets claiming that babies can identify as being “trans”.

An LGBT non-profit that is prevalent in the push for transgenderism within the United Kingdom has scrambled to “clarify” a social media post it made last week which claimed that babies can identify as being “trans”.

Published on Friday last week seemingly in response to a piece about an alleged “gender nonconforming” 4-year-old, the post by LGBT org Stonewall UK claimed that “research suggests that children as young as 2 recognise their trans identity”.

However, with the organisation’s claim having garnered widespread criticism amongst netizens, the organisation has now decided to clarify its “unclear” meaning, saying that the post was actually meant to be about gender stereotyping.

“On Friday we put out a tweet that was unclear, relating to gender stereotypes and nursery age children, leading some supporters to ask us what we meant,” a statement published by the organisation on Monday read.

“While we don’t actively work on nursery education, we believe that young children should be able to play, explore and learn about who they are, and the world around them, without having adults’ ideas imposed upon them,” it continued, apparently without irony. “We support existing provisions to ensure primary and secondary school pupils learn about LGBTQ+ identities in an age-appropriate and timely manner.”

CALEXICO, Calif. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers from the Calexico Port of Entry intercepted narcotics worth more than $8 million over the course of five days.

Calexico CBP officers discovered 603 pounds of fentanyl, 187 pounds of methamphetamine and 2.5 grams of marijuana concealed inside travelers’ vehicles and luggage while applying for entry into the United States between July 13 and July 17.

“Fentanyl, a very lethal drug, continues to be on the rise and our officers will relentlessly continue doing everything they can to keep this hard narcotic off our streets,” said David Salazar, CBP Port Director for the Calexico Port of Entry.

The deadly narcotics were discovered by CBP officers after noticing tampering of travelers’ vehicles and unusual travel patterns.

July 17, a total of 72.33 pounds of fentanyl and 186.82 pounds of methamphetamine were discovered by CBP officers utilizing the port’s imaging machine.

July 16, a total of 66.40 pounds of fentanyl and 2.35 grams of marijuana were discovered by CBP officers after an intensive, physical search of the traveler’s vehicle and luggage.

July 15, 106.30 pounds of fentanyl were discovered by CBP officers utilizing the port’s imaging machine.

July 14, 227.92 pounds of fentanyl were discovered by CBP officers after a canine enforcement screening was conducted.

July 13, 130.19 pounds of fentanyl were discovered by CBP officers after they noticed tampering of the vehicle during an initial cursory inspection.

“Remaining vigilant for something that looks out of place and keeping a keen eye for unusual travel patterns is what our officers are trained to do,” said Anne Maricich, CBP Acting Director of Field Operations in San Diego.

All travelers were turned over to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for further investigation.

According to Russian Duma’s Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy, the Russian Government is evaluating the possibility to withdraw from a number of UN agencies, most visibly WHO and WTO which they consider do Russia more harm than good. This may be particularly the case with WTO which Russia only joined in 2012 after 8 years of negotiations, because WTO allows countries under the western sanctions program to increase tariffs on Russian goods way above the WTO guidelines.

WTO removed Russia’s “most favored nation” status in response to its invasion of Ukraine, which led several countries to suspend Moscow’s trade preferences and impose tariffs in excess of what WTO rules typically allow. WTO, created under the Charter of the UN, is not to take political decisions in favor, or against a member of its 164 member-organization.

Under pressure from the US and European governments, hundreds of western businesses, from Adidas, McDonald’s, and Pepsi to BP, Renault, British American Tobacco, Starbucks and many many more, have pulled out of Russia for fear of direct western sanctioning. McDonald’s said its cost for leaving Russia was equivalent to US$ 1.3 billion. Is the sacrifice worth it?

Never mind, it is contributing to anti-Russian propaganda – which in itself, contributes to the ever-mounting western pressure for “regime change”.

As to WHO – while the agency pretends being non-political, in reality it is just the contrary, only political. WHO, under pressure from Bill Gates and the US, never approved the Russian Sputnik V as an official “vaccine” – like Pfizer, J&J, Moderna and all the western fake vaxxes.

WHO joined the west in condemning Russia for the war in Ukraine, never looking at the reasons that may have prompted the war, and never looking into the health impacts of 8 years bombarding and aggressing the Donbas Region by the Kiev regime with the help by Neo-Nazi Azov Battalions.

While no war is justified, analyzing the reasons that led up to war might help negotiating for peace and preventing other wars.

Nor did WHO evaluate independently the damage on Eastern Ukraine’s health facilities and inhabitants since the beginning of the war on 24 February 2022. Because most, if not all, attacks on Donbas health facilities, as well as outright killing of civilians Kiev claims and the west confirms, were Russian inflicted, when in fact the very Ukraine government carried out “false flags” against their own people.

It would behoove a neutral WHO to analyze causes of mass death, disease and injury reports. Not doing so and instead simply supporting the western version is a serious breach of WHO’s Constitution and role in determining the cause of the deteriorating state of a society’s wellbeing.

DPRK leader Kim Jong-un announced on Thursday that Pyongyang’s “nuclear war deterrent” was “fully ready” to respond to threats. Such saber-rattling is nothing new from Kim, but it does come after a slew of artillery and missile tests.

In a speech marking the 69th anniversary of the armistice that halted the 1950-1953 Korean War, Kim accused South Korea of pursuing “suicidal” confrontation against North Korea in a bid to deepen ties with “the US imperialists,” according to a transcript from the Korean Central News Agency.

“Our armed forces are now fully prepared to cope with any sort of crisis, and our state's nuclear war deterrent is also fully ready to demonstrate its absolute power accurately and promptly true to its mission,” Kim declared.

The North Korean leader also accused Washington and Seoul of planning on stationing nuclear missiles in South Korea. While South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said last year that he would ask the US to deploy tactical nukes in his country, the Biden administration has ruled out the idea for now.

North Korea is estimated to have between 40 and 50 nuclear warheads, with the capability of producing six or seven more every year, according to the Arms Control Association. The US officially removed its nuclear weapons from South Korea in 1991.

Successive members of the Kim family have threatened for decades to step up development or deployment of these weapons in order to demand relief from international sanctions, or to get Western powers to the negotiating table. This scenario played out during the tenure of US President Donald Trump, with Kim and Trump threatening each other with nuclear annihilation throughout 2017, before meeting in person for two historic summits in 2018 and 2019.

While Trump’s overtures to Kim failed to achieve his goal of “denuclearization” on the Korean peninsula, they calmed the nuclear threats from Pyongyang for the remainder of his term in office. However, the North Korean military has stepped up its activity in recent months.

The South Korean military claimed earlier this month to have detected “trajectories” consistent with artillery shelling, and said in June that the north had fired projectiles from multiple rocket launchers and test-fired eight short-range ballistic missiles eastward.

The north is ready to conduct its seventh nuclear test “at any time,” Sung Kim, the US special representative to North Korea, claimed in June, after a lull in testing since an underground detonation in 2017.

On the other side, the US and South Korea are preparing for military drills in August. Pyongyang considers such exercises “provocations” or rehearsals for an invasion. Earlier this month, the US sent six F-35 stealth fighter jets to South Korea for a series of exercises, which Seoul said were aimed at “demonstrating the strong deterrence” of the US-South Korea alliance.

South Korea’s biggest ever arms buyer revealed

Poland will receive over 1,600 tanks and artillery pieces and nearly 50 jets

Poland and South Korea signed a framework agreement on Wednesday for what is being hailed as Seoul’s largest ever arms deal. South Korean manufacturers will supply almost 1,000 tanks, over 600 artillery pieces, and nearly 50 fighter jets to the Eastern European nation.

The multi-billion-dollar deal will be among the largest and most significant Polish defense orders in recent years and will substantially strengthen the country's armed forces, Poland’s Defense Ministry announced in a press release.

The orders are divided into two stages, according to the press release. The first stage covers 180 K2 tanks and 48 K9 howitzers, the first deliveries of which are expected this year. Stage two will include over 800 enhanced K2PL tanks and 600 K9 howitzers and will involve technology transfers: both weapons will be produced in Poland starting in 2026.

Under a separate contract, Poland will also acquire 48 FA-50 jets that can be used for both training and combat. According to the Polish Defense Ministry, the first aircraft will be delivered next year. The FA-50 will enable Warsaw to scrap its post-Soviet planes and intensify the training of Polish pilots, the ministry’s press release says.

The arms deal will be a key part of Poland’s effort to rearm in the wake of the conflict in Ukraine, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said. “We learn lessons from what is happening in Ukraine. (…) We can see that armored forces and artillery are of great importance on the battlefield nowadays, hence the decision to strengthen this type of armed forces,” the minister told reporters after approving the contracts.

When asked if its cooperation with Poland meant Seoul was ready to provide more aid to Kiev, South Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin stressed that the deal was strictly a bilateral matter, Reuters reported.

While the pricing of the purchase has not been made public, it is widely expected to exceed the $7 billion total value of all arms sold by South Korea to global customers last year. With the fighter jets alone priced at $3 billion, the overall amount is estimated to be in the $14-15 billion range, potentially surpassing Poland’s entire current-year defense allocation of $14.1 billion.

The Hungarian leader said his citizens want Brussels to stay out of the country’s energy policy

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has lambasted an EU plan to reduce gas consumption by 15%.Unless the bloc pushes for peace in Ukraine, he warned that Europe will face an energy crisis, a recession, and political turmoil.

Speaking following a meeting with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer in Vienna on Thursday, Orban said that Hungary determines its own energy policy, and any attempt by Brussels to interfere with this “will not find favor with the Hungarians.”

Earlier this week, in anticipation of a cutoff in supply from Russia the EU’s member states agreed on a range of measures to cut their gas consumption by 15% over the winter. The voluntary measures – including a switch to alternative fuels and rationing for household consumers – could become mandatory should the EU declare a state of emergency.

Hungary was the only one of the EU’s 27 members to oppose the plan. Declaring it “simply impossible” to go without Russian energy, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto traveled to Moscow last Thursday to negotiate the purchase of an extra 700 million cubic meters of Russian gas.

“Our people don’t like that kind of thing,”Orban said on Thursday, referring to the EU plan. "If Brussels has a say in what to do with our own energy, regardless of Brussels' good intentions or bad intentions, it will not find favor with the Hungarians.”

Orban, who has heavily criticized the EU’s sanctions on Russia, said that he would attempt to “convince Brussels to create a strategy that is good for the Ukrainians, the EU, and EU households.”

The fact that Brussels is already implementing energy rationing suggests that Europe is moving toward a “wartime economy,” Orban said, adding that unless peace is reached in Ukraine, "we will not be able to solve any problems, there will be no energy, and the entire European Union will be pushed into an economic situation of war.”

The Hungarian premier noted that an energy crisis would also lead to a recession and political instability across Europe.

Hungary has refused to send weapons to Ukraine or allow Western arms to enter Ukraine from its territory. In a speech last week, Orban declared that the rest of the world is “demonstratively not with” the West on sanctioning Moscow, and insisted that the conflict in Ukraine “will end when the Americans and the Russians come to an agreement.”

Agents are reportedly being pressured by their superiors to juice the data

The FBI is instructing its agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’, Republican Representative Jim Jordan has claimed, citing agency whistleblowers. Jordan argued that the FBI may be inflating the statistics to satisfy the Biden administration’s crackdown on the supposed threat of homegrown terror.

“From recent protected disclosures, we have learned that FBI officials are pressuring agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification,” Jordan wrote in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday.

“Given the narrative pushed by the Biden administration that domestic violent extremism is the ‘greatest threat’ facing our country, the revelation that the FBI may be artificially padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous,” Jordan continued.

In the days after he took office in January 2021, Biden repeatedly talked up the threat of “domestic terrorism” in the US, describing the pro-Trump riot on Capitol Hill earlier that month as a prime example of this threat. He followed this rhetoric with a domestic terrorism strategy that increased funding to the Department of Homeland Security and Justice Department, while the former agency issued a memo classifying a broad range of dissidents and criminals – from racial extremists to animal rights activists and all others with “personal grievances and beliefs with political bias” – as domestic violent extremists.

This crackdown was necessary, Wray told Congress last summer, stating in June that the FBI had a “very, very active domestic terrorism investigation program,” and that it had “doubled the amount of domestic terrorism investigations.” Attorney General Merrick Garland cited this apparent doubling of investigations as proof that domestic extremism, particularly that involving white supremacists, was the “most lethal” threat facing the US at the time.

However, whistleblower testimony indicates “that the Biden administration’s narrative may be misleading,” Jordan, who is the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, wrote to Wray.

“One whistleblower explained that because agents are not finding enough DVE [domestic violent extremism] cases, they are encouraged and incentivized to reclassify cases as DVE cases even though there is minimal, circumstantial evidence to support the reclassification,” Jordan continued, adding that the agent in charge of one field office offered awards and promotions to subordinates who could reclassify the most cases as domestic extremism.

“This information … reinforces our concerns regarding the FBI’s politicization under your leadership,” Jordan told Wray. Citing an alleged “purge” of FBI employees with conservative views, the Ohio Republican argued that the FBI seems “more focused on classifying investigations to meet a woke left-wing agenda” than addressing his committee’s concerns.

As of Thursday afternoon, the FBI has not publicly addressed Jordan’s allegations.

President Xi sent a blunt message on Taiwan in “candid” phone call with Biden

Taiwan is a part of China and the 1.4 billion Chinese will not tolerate any challenges to the country’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, President Xi Jinping told his US counterpart, Joe Biden, in a phone call on Thursday. Xi’s warning comes amid reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is preparing to visit the island next month, something Beijing has warned her against.

Xi “highlighted that the historical ins and outs of the Taiwan question are crystal clear, and so are the fact and status quo that both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to one and the same China,” according to Beijing’s readout of Thursday’s call, also noting that Biden was the one who initiated it.

China is firmly opposed to Taiwanese separatism and will not tolerate “independence” for the island “in whatever form,” Xi told Biden, in the first direct call between the two leaders since March 18.

Those who play with fire will perish by it. It is hoped that the US will be clear-eyed about this.

According to the readout, Xi also told Biden that the US approach to China as the primary rival, strategic competitor, and a security challenge “would be misperceiving China-US relations and misreading China’s development,” adding that US attempts at “decoupling or severing supply chains in defiance of underlying laws” would not help its economy, but “only make the world economy more vulnerable.”

China and the US need to “uphold the international system centering on the UN and the international order underpinned by international law,” said Xi, who also “reiterated China’s principled position” on the crisis in Ukraine.

The much shorter White House readoutof the call did not mention Ukraine or the specifics of economic discussions, instead singling out the issues of “climate change and health security.”It did, however, say that the call was “part of the Biden Administration’s efforts to maintain and deepen lines of communication between the United States and the PRC and responsibly manage our differences and work together where our interests align.”

When it comes to Taiwan, Biden “underscored that the US policy has not changed and that the US strongly opposes unilateral efforts to change the status quo or undermine peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait,”according to the White House.

Tensions between China and the US have escalated in recent weeks, after reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) intended to take a congressional delegation to Taiwan in August.

Pelosi has neither confirmed nor denied the trip. Asked about it earlier this month, Biden said the US military thought it was “not a good idea right now.”

Since then, however, the Pentagon has reportedly developed a “contingency plan” to send additional ships and fighter jets to the region. Meanwhile, Chinese officials threatened the US with “unbearable consequences” should Pelosi go forward with her visit, and some pundits even advocated attacking Taiwan in response to such a “provocation.”

House Speaker Newt Gingrich visited Taiwan in 1997, but as government officials in Beijing have noted, he was opposition leader at the time, while Pelosi is from the same party as Biden.

Taiwan has been ruled by the nationalist Kuomintang, who found refuge on the island after losing the civil war to the Communists in 1949 and leaving the mainland with US help.

Russia says US call request will be met ‘when time allows’

Washington said it was seeking a conversation between State Secretary Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

Moscow has acknowledged receiving a call request from Washington on Thursday. A conversation between the two nation’s top diplomats might take placeas soon as the busy schedule of Russia’s top diplomat, Sergey Lavrov, makes it possible, the Foreign Ministry said.

Lavrov will “pay attention to this request when time permits,” the ministry’s spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, told journalists, referring to Washington’s request for a phone conversation between Lavrov and US State Secretary Antony Blinken.

Earlier on Thursday, State Department spokesman Ned Price said at a news briefing that the US “made it clear to the Russian Federation that we are seeking a conversation between State Secretary Blinken and Foreign Minister Lavrov.”

The request had been conveyed to Russia “directly” and “repeatedly,” Price said. The US expects the two top diplomats to “have an opportunity to speak in the coming days,” he added.

The State Department spokesman, however, admitted that he had “no update” on any potential dates for the conversation, adding that the two sides “continue to discuss that in the appropriate channels.”

Zakharova said on Thursday that the Russian foreign minister currently “has a busy schedule with international contacts,” including a Shanghai Cooperation Organization ministerial summit and some bilateral meetings.

I knew Blinken’s virtue signaling for doing an exchange to swap for two US prisoners in Russia, for one Russian in a US jail was not going to work. Well over 100 businesses have signed on to a letter urging the U.S. Senate to pass the Respect for Marriage Act.

The bill, which cleared the House of Representatives last week, would advance the LGBT agenda as it pertains to gay marriage.

While the Supreme Court previously steamrolled states' rights regarding same-sex marriage in its 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling, the Respect for Marriage Act would enshrine into law a prohibition against states declining to recognize same-sex marriages from other states.

The measure would prohibit states from denying "full faith and credit to any public act, record, or judicial proceeding of any other State pertaining to a marriage between 2 individuals, on the basis of the sex, race, ethnicity, or national origin of those individual." The bill would bar states from denying "a right or claim arising from such a marriage on the basis that such marriage would not be recognized under the law of that State on the basis of the sex, race, ethnicity, or national origin of those individuals."

The measure would also stipulate that when it comes to federal laws, rules, and regulations, a person should be viewed as married provided that their marriage is valid in the state where it occurred.

Last week, 47 House Republicans joined 220 Democrats in voting to approve the measure.

Major businesses such as the Walt Disney Company, Airbnb, Amazon, Apple, AT&T, Bank of America, Comcast NBCUniversal, General Mills, General Motors, Harley Davidson, Intel, Microsoft, Pfizer, PepsiCo, Starbucks, Target, Twitter, Tesla, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Zillow are just a few of the many companies that have signed onto the letter urging senators to back the bill.

"No person, including same-sex couples and interracial couples protected by this bill, should fear their marriage will not be recognized by the federal government or their employment benefits threatened," the letter says. "Our businesses strongly embrace diversity and inclusion because we want everyone who works for us or does business with us to feel included and welcomed as their true, authentic selves. Inclusive business practices improve our bottom lines and lead to more productive and engaged employees, increased customer satisfaction, and, ultimately, improved competitiveness and financial performance."

The Human Rights Campaign, a pro-LGBT advocacy organization, is behind the letter.

Report: Leaked Emails Suggest CDC Coordinated With Twitter, Facebook And Google To Censor Social Media Users

The emails claim CDC officials worked to remove any information about vaccine shedding and microchips.

A recent report from The Washington Free Beacon suggests the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) coordinated with Big Tech companies like Google, Twitter, and Facebook to push censorship of “vaccine misinformation.”

Thirty-five pages of emails allegedly uncovered by America First Legal” claim “CDC officials regularly communicated with personnel at Twitter, Facebook, and Google over ‘vaccine misinformation.’”

The leaked documents display communications between officials from the CDC with Facebook, Twitter, and Google.

“CDC officials would flag specific posts by users on social media platforms such as Twitter as ‘example posts,’” The Beacon explained.

Todd O’Boyle, the Senior Manager of Public Policy at Twitter, seems to have emailed the CDC to initiate “regular chats” to help determine problematic content to the CDC.

“I’m looking forward to setting up regular chats; my team has asked for examples of problematic content so we can examine trends,” O’Boyle wrote.

“All examples of misinformation are helpful, but in particular, if you have any examples of fraud – such as fraudulent covid cures, fraudulent vaccine cards, etc, that would be very helpful,” he added in the email.

Carol Crawford, the CDC Media Branch Chief, pushed O’Boyle to specifically target censoring “disinformation” about vaccine shedding and microchips.

“[W]e wanted to point out two issues that we are seeing a great deal of misinfo about — vaccine shedding and microchips,” Crawford’s email reads.

The email, supposedly from Crawford, contained a spreadsheet with a list of tweets the CDC labeled as “misinfo.”

Crawford also expressed intentions to invite “all tech platforms” to a “BOLO CVOID misinformation meeting.” BOLO stands for “be on the lookout.”

“We do plan to post something shortly to address vaccine shedding and I can send that link soon. Our census team copied here, has much more info on it if needed. Also, we are standing up a BOLO COVID misinformation meeting and inviting all tech platforms,” the CDC official said in her email.

Also in the newly released emails, Facebook was exposed to have given the CDC $15 million in free advertisements.

Medvedev offers Kiev a visual on its worst case scenario

Ukraine is more likely to be reduced to Kiev and its surroundings than to ever re-encompass Crimea and the Donbass republics, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.

The one-time president and long-time prime minister who now heads the national security council also posted two maps helpfully illustrating his argument.

The first map showed Ukraine in borders prior to the US-backed coup in 2014, including Crimea and the two eastern regions of Donetsk and Lugansk. A month after the militants backed by Washington seized power in Kiev, Crimea voted to rejoin Russia, while the two Donbass regions declared independence.

“In the mind of the president of Ukraine, damaged by psychotropic substances, this is what the map of his country’s bright future will look like,” Medvedev wrote on Telegram.

“Western analysts believe it will look like this, actually,” he said, posting a second map. On it, “Ukraine” is reduced to Kiev and its surroundings. Seven regions in the West have been annexed by Poland, and three in the southwest by Hungary and Romania, respectively.

Everything else is marked “Russia.”

He did not specify which Western experts may have envisioned such a partition.

The Ukrainian government has repeatedly rejected any possibility of territorial concessions, insisting that Kiev’s objectives were a “capitulation” of Russia and “reintegration” of Donbass and Crimea.

Medvedev served as president of Russia between 2008 and 2012, and then as prime minister until 2020, when he was put in charge of the national security council. Over the course of the conflict in Ukraine, he has made a name for himself with colorful Telegram posts. Just this month, he warned Kiev of “Judgment Day” if they attacked Crimea and offered a list of “Russian sins,” followed up by those of the West.

The former president dismissed questions about Saudi involvement in the attack

Former US President Donald Trump has defended his decision to host a Saudi-sponsored golf event at his course in New Jersey. With protesters outside blaming Saudi Arabia for the 9/11 terror attacks, Trump argued that “nobody’s gotten to the bottom” of the tragedy.

A group representing families of 9/11 victims has condemned Trump for hosting the event at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, picketing the course and urging the former president to cancel the event in a letter sent to Trump last week.

“We simply cannot understand how you could agree to accept money from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s golf league to host their tournament at your golf course, and to do so in the shadows of Ground Zero,” the letter read.

Asked about the protests on Thursday, Trump told ESPN that “nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11, unfortunately, and they should have,”referring to the hijackers who killed nearly 3,000 people in the 2001 attacks as “maniacs.”

The involvement of the Saudi Arabian government in the strikes is widely suspected. Of the 19 hijackers, 15 were from Saudi Arabia, as was Osama bin Laden, leader of al-Qaeda and mastermind of the attacks. While the 9/11 Commission found “no evidence” that Riyadh funded or organized the attacks, it did identify Saudi Arabia as funding al-Qaeda.

Some 28 pages from this report, all concerning Saudi Arabia, remain classified.

However, FBI documents declassified last year identified several Saudi officials as providing “significant logistic support” to two of the hijackers. The name of one of these officials – a mid-level staffer in the Saudi embassy in Washington, DC – was inadvertently leaked by the agency a year earlier.

Trump himself brought up the specter of Saudi involvement on the campaign trail in 2016, during a tirade against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

“Who blew up the World Trade Center? It wasn’t the Iraqis, it was Saudi, take a look at Saudi Arabia,” he told a Fox News panel that February. At a campaign rally later that day, he declared that classified papers – apparently the aforementioned 28 pages – may prove that the Saudis “really knocked down the World Trade Center.”

Once in office, Trump made Saudi Arabia his first foreign destination and authorized an arms deal worth $100 billion with the Kingdom’s rulers. Fragments of an American bomb were later found at the scene of an airstrike on a school bus in Yemen.

However, Trump is not the only US president to talk tough on Saudi Arabia before placating its leaders. President Joe Biden vowed in 2019 to make the Gulf state an international “pariah” over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, but traveled there earlier this month and asked the Saudi royals to pump more oil, after greeting Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman with a fist-bump.

“It pains us to say it but you are the first president since the Sept. 11 attacks who has not met with the families and survivors,” the group representing 9/11 families wrote in a separate letter to Biden.

“Yet you just traveled halfway around the world to fist-bump Saudi crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where he had the gall to lecture you about human rights and ‘values’,” the letter continued, referring to Salman telling Biden that the US attempts to “impose” its values by force on Iraq and Afghanistan were “mistakes.”

The Justice Department is investigating a data breach of the U.S. federal courts system dating to early 2020, a top official testified on Capitol Hill Thursday.

Scary scenario for the judicial branch: House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) told fellow lawmakers that “three hostile foreign actors” attacked the U.S. Courts’ document filing system as part of a breach in early 2020 causing a “system security failure.” The comments — at a committee hearing on oversight of the Justice Department’s National Security Division — were the first public disclosure of the hack.

Nadler said the committee learned in March about the “startling breadth and scope” of the breach, which was separate from the SolarWinds hack revealed in late 2020. SolarWinds involved Russian government-backed hackers infiltrating the networks of over a dozen U.S. federal agencies for much of 2020, including the federal courts systems.

Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew Olsen testified to the committee that NSD is “working very closely with the judicial conference and judges around the country to address this issue,” and committed to updating the committee on the investigation as it progressed.

Wider impact: A committee aide said that Nadler’s questions came after the committee received a briefing on the attack, noting that “the sweeping impact it may have had on the operation of the Department of Justice is staggering.” The aide was granted anonymity in order to discuss a private briefing.

Looking for the details: Committee member Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) pressed Olsen for more details on how many cases had been impacted by the breach.

“I would expect your preparation and for us to be able to get that information as quickly as possible in a setting that would be appropriate, but this is a dangerous set of circumstances that has now been publicly announced, and we need to know how many…were dismissed,” Jackson Lee said.

Nadler questioned Olsen on whether the breach had in any way affected cases pursued by the NSD, and Olsen testified he could not “think of anything in particular.”

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, sent a letter Thursday to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts expressing “serious concerns that the federal judiciary has hidden” the consequences of the data breach from Congress and the public.

“The federal judiciary has yet to publicly explain what happened and has refused multiple requests to provide unclassified briefings to Congress,” Wyden wrote in the letter.

Asked for further details on the breach, Wyden said that he “can’t get into that” for fear of “running afoul of the classification system”

Luis Rossello, a Justice Department spokesperson, declined to comment on the case, while David Sellers, a spokesperson for the U.S. courts system, declined to comment beyond a statement put out in January 2021 following the discovery of the SolarWinds breach. The FBI did not respond to a request for comment.

Past experience: The statement in January 2021 from U.S. Courts acknowledged that its Case Management/Electronic Case Files system, or CM/ECF, had been compromised as part of the massive breach. As a result, procedures for filing highly sensitive documents were changed so that they could only be handed in via paper documents, a secure electronic device, through a secure computer system.

BEDMINSTER, N.J. — Before teeing off with Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and his own son, Eric, in the LIV Golf Invitational Series pro-am on Thursday, former President of the United States Donald Trump spoke to ESPN about hosting the controversial circuit at his club in New Jersey.

“I’ve known these people for a long time in Saudi Arabia, they’ve been friends of mine for a long time,” explained Trump. “They’ve invested in many American companies, they own big percentages of many, many American companies, and frankly what they’re doing for golf is so great.

“The PGA was not loved by a lot of the players, as you know, for a long time,” he claimed. “Now they’ve got an alternative and nobody would have ever known there would be a gold rush like this.”

Last week Trump signed on to Truth Social to implore golfers to take the guaranteed money now and join the Greg Norman-led and Saudi Arabia-funded series, and he doubled-down on Thursday.

“Remember this, if there’s a merger, the people that didn’t come will never get anything except a thank you from the people who took advantage of them,” said Trump.

It’s important to note a merger between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf is not currently on the table and has not been discussed.

A New York City native, Trump’s comments come just days after families of 9/11 victims and survivors sent a letter to condemn the former president for hosting the Saudi-funded series. The letter expressed their “extreme pain, frustration and anger” and even included a quote from Trump’s 2016 comments on the 9/11 terrorist attacks from a segment on Fox & Friends:

“ … Who blew up the World Trade Center? It wasn’t the Iraqis – it was Saudi. Take a look at Saudi Arabia. Open the documents. We ought to get Bush or somebody to have the documents opened because frankly, if you open the documents, I think you are going to see it was Saudi Arabia …”

“The former President correctly speculated in 2016 that Saudi Arabia knocked down the towers and now the FBI has released the documents to prove him right,” Brett Eagleson, an advocate for the 9/11 Justice group, told CNN, “yet he is choosing money over America. So much for America First. A sad day.”

Supported by Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, LIV Golf has long been criticized as a way for the Kingdom to “sportswash” its human rights record. Saudi Arabia has been accused of wide-ranging human rights abuses, including politically motivated killings, torture, forced disappearances and inhumane treatment of prisoners. And members of the royal family and Saudi government were accused of involvement in the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and Washington Post columnist.

When asked to address the issues raised by the 9/11 families, who will host a protest and press conference on Friday, Trump avoided the nature of the question entirely, ignoring ties between a Saudi spy and two of the hijackers.

“Well, nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11, unfortunately, and they should have, as to the maniacs that did that horrible thing to our city, to our country, to the world, so nobody’s really been there,” Trump said. “But I can tell you there are a lot of really great people that are out here today and we’re going to have a lot of fun and we’re going to celebrate.”

BEIJING: A manhunt was underway in southwest China today with police offering a US$15,000 bounty for a suspect in a gun attack that killed three people and injured two others, security officials said.

Gun violence is rare in China, where the regulation on firearms is among the strictest in the world.

The shooting occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Muchuan, a small county under Leshan city in Sichuan province, the local public security bureau said in a statement yesterday.

The suspect identified as Li Qiang “injured two with guns and killed three with weapons”, police said without offering details.

Police said all “guns and ammunition involved in the case were seized” and offered a 100,000 yuan (US$15,000) reward for anyone who “provides effective clues or captures the criminal suspects”.

The 36-year-old suspect was a police officer decorated for bravery last year after saving an elderly man and a woman from drowning in two separate instances, according to an article published by the city public security bureau.

That article has since been deleted from their website but was still available on Google cache.

AFP was able to confirm that the suspect was the same officer as police have published the suspect’s full name and birth date on both the bounty announcement and the accolade for bravery.

It is unclear whether Li was still a serving officer, and when AFP contacted the Muchuan county police, an officer said she was “unaware” of whether Li was still on active duty at the time of the incident.

The incident has led to heated debate online, with related hashtags viewed over 250 million times.

While guns are strictly controlled, China has been struggling with a spate of mass stabbings in recent years.

Six people were killed and 14 injured after a knife-wielding man stabbed passersby on a pedestrian shopping street in the eastern Chinese city of Anqing in June last year.

And two children were killed and 16 others wounded when a knife-wielding man entered a kindergarten in southern China last April.
