The Corporatization of Just About Everything

Back in the day, a Yale law professor named Charles Reich wrote a bestselling book called The Greening of America. His masterwork topped The New York Times best seller list and drew a ton of popular attention. Reich argued that American society was undergoing a major shift in cultural awareness (He used “consciousness,” a word that no longer seems to be in vogue) and opined that this would lead to a major and lasting revitalization of our deepest cultural norms and values. It was a noble thought.

It is possible that just about every major social and political mega-problem we’re now facing can in some way be traced to varying degrees of corporatization — from renewed interest in war as a solution to international relations to Big Pharma’s capture of health care to the influence of dark money in our political system to a climate crisis fed and ignored by Big Energy.

One reason the book drew so much interest is because of Reich’s background. He was a former editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal and a friend of Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas. In writing about something as retrospectively “mushy” as the consciousness movement of the sixties, Reich’s unique stance might then have been described as “establishmentarian as hippie” but also more contemporary than “old school.” His impressive background provided both gravitas and a strong air of credibility to the prevailing Zeitgeist. (Fun fact: among Reich’s students, William and Hillary Clinton.)

The sixties, of course, disappeared into the black hole of cultural amnesia that was the Reagan era. But as Reich continued his own personal and intellectual journey, he was having none of the social trend whereby many Boomer culture warriors eventually became yuppies, merrily plunging themselves into the consumer society they once railed against. Instead, and to his credit, Reich continued to develop his ideas and aspirations in the direction of the massive changes needed to right the ship of state. And many younger folks of his vintage learned and matured from the protests and educational rebellions of the sixties.

In 1995, Reich followed up with a second book that was titled Opposing the System that offered a prophetic warning about what would happen if corporations became powerful enough to “run the show.” Unlike his previous masterwork, the book was, for the most part, roundly ignored by the mainstream media. It was simply too radioactive. By chance, I happened to pick it up at a used bookstore and remember marveling at how it was shunted off to the remainder shelves after the smashing success of “The Greening of America.” So thoroughly was this book buried in the collective memory that when the LA Times wrote his obituary (Reich died in 2019), it wasn’t even mentioned.

Does ‘The System’ Still Exist?

Whatever anyone might want to say about the excesses or over-reach of the Sixties, with the influential younger demographic of the time, there was a widespread perception and understanding that the U.S. government was increasingly being influenced by corporations.

But that was a bit too simplistic. The semi-invisible power structure that guided many policy decisions had far-reaching tentacles and was basically an interlocking directorate of corporations working in tandem with a variety of educational and governmental institutions. It was this system of values that constituted “the establishment.”

Santa Teresa CBP Officers Seize 1,037 Pounds of Methamphetamine

SANTA TERESA, N.M – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Santa Teresa port of entry commercial cargo lot intercepted 1,037 pounds of methamphetamine from a dump trailer being hauled by a truck.

“Excellent job by our CBP officers in intercepting this enormous quantity of a very dangerous drug,” said acting Santa Teresa Port Director John Hawkins. “To put this into perspective during the last fiscal year CBP officers working in the El Paso Field Office area of operations seized 8,798 pounds of methamphetamine combined.”

CBP officers made the seizure June 30 after an individual driving a truck hauling a dump trailer applied for entry into the U.S. from Mexico at the Santa Teresa port. CBP officers selected the vehicle for a secondary inspection.

CBP officers conducted a non-intrusive inspection where they identified anomalies in the appearance of the dump trailer. Further examination led CBP officers to the discovery of 208 bundles with a combined weight of 1,037 pounds of a substance which tested positive for the properties of methamphetamine.

The narcotics and truck were seized by CBP, and the driver was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations for prosecution.

US Imposes Sanctions On Iran Oil Producers After Failure To Revive Nuclear Deal

So much for Iranian oil flooding the market.

After days, and weeks and months and years of failed attempts to revive the JCPOA, aka the Iranian nuclear deal, on Wednesday the Biden administration announced it was putting sanctions on 15 individuals and entities who have been involved in illicit sales and shipments of millions of dollars' worth of Iranian oil.

The newest sanctions, unveiled by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, come as the latest efforts to revive the Iran nuclear deal failed just last week.

"The United States is designating 15 individuals and entities that engaged in the illicit sales and shipment of Iranian petroleum, petroleum products, and petrochemical products. These entities, located in Iran, Vietnam, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Hong Kong, have supported Iranian energy trade generating millions of dollars' worth of illicit revenue," Blinken said in a statement.

"While the United States is committed to achieving an agreement with Iran that seeks a mutual return to compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, we will continue to use all our authorities to enforce sanctions on the sale of Iranian petroleum and petrochemicals," added Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian E. Nelson.

Blinken said that the three Iran-based entities sanctioned by the State Department include: Zagros Tarabaran-E Arya, which is a shipper of Iranian petroleum products; Persian Gulf Star Oil Company is the largest producer of gas condensate in Iran; and East Ocean Rashin Shipping Co. Ltd., which is a port agent and freight forwarder of Iranian petroleum and petrochemical products.

"The United States has been sincere and steadfast in pursuing a path of meaningful diplomacy to achieve a mutual return to full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). It is Iran that has, to-date, failed to demonstrate a similar commitment to that path. Absent a change in course from Iran, we will continue to use our sanctions authorities to target exports of petroleum, petroleum products, and petrochemical products from Iran," Blinken said.

Bottom line: the Biden admin has lost patience with Iran, having realized Tehran never intended to bring the JCPOA deal to closure on mutually acceptable terms. Expect creeping sanctions to accelerate and to envelop more and more official Iranian entities as long as Tehran continues toying with Biden. And since there is no reason why Iran should change its behavior - after all the middle east oil producer sells as much as oil as it wants to China who ignores US sanctions and buys both Iranian and Russian oil at significant discounts (in fact, Iran is now competing to undercut Russia on oil price) - the only loser here are US consumers and motorists who will not benefit from the potential pool 1-2 mmb/d of legitimate Iranian exports which would sharply lower US gas prices. Instead the only winner here will be China.

DR Congo, Rwanda approve de-escalation

The Congolese presidency said, on Wednesday, that the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda have agreed to a "de-escalation process" after weeks of rising tensions over rebel fighting in eastern DRC.

It claimed that a "roadmap" for restoring diplomatic relations had been devised, including putting a stop to conflicts involving the M23 militia in the eastern DRC.

The statement follows Wednesday's negotiations between Paul Kagame, the president of Rwanda, and Felix Tshisekedi, the president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Luanda, the capital of Angola.

The small central African nation of Rwanda has always disputed the DRC's accusations that it is supporting the M23.

The M23, or "March 23 Movement," is a predominantly Congolese Tutsi rebel organization that initially gained notoriety in 2012 when it briefly took control of the eastern Congolese city of Goma before being expelled by a joint UN-Congolese offensive.

The M23, which had been largely dormant for years, started fighting again last November after charging the Congolese government with breaking a deal to include its troops in the army.

The rebels have made major gains in eastern Congo as a result of fierce combat. An important border town called Bunagana in the Congo-Uganda region was taken over by M23 fighters last month, for instance.

Following their discussions on Wednesday, the three presidents agreed to a "de-escalation procedure between the DRC and Rwanda," according to the Congolese administration.

This entails creating a joint DRC-Rwanda group, whose inaugural meeting is scheduled to take place in Luanda on July 12, as well as a plan for re-establishing relations.

The plan requires the M23 to end hostilities, and the "development of natural resources in the region must be done in strict respect of the sovereignty of states," according to the Congolese presidency.

Some initially believed that someone had hijacked Q, a belief furthered when whoever it was responded to a couple of comments by writing, “Confirmed. Do not fuck with us. Q.” This message also included Q’s tripcode.

Watkins posted a screenshot of this interaction on Telegram. “I am working on it,” he wrote. “We are having some attacking going on.”

The narrative that someone had taken over the Q account soon crumbled, however, when people realized the so-called hijacker had simply copied Q’s tripcode.

“They’re just putting the tripcode right there with the username,” the Q Origins Project tweeted. “It’s not a Q takeover, it’s just a copy-paste.”

Many clowned on Watkins for falling for such a rudimentary impersonation attempt on his own website.

Jim Watkins eventually also realized that no one had actually hijacked Q. “It is fake, it is not blinking. I am just stressing out, so I copied it,” he wrote.

Women's soccer sensation ruled ineligible for major competition due to 'gender verification' test results

Barbra Banda, the star striker on the Zambia women's national soccer team, has been disqualified from the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations competition because of results from the "gender verification" tests all tournament participants are required to undergo.

Reports say that her results from pre-tournament "gender verification" testing, mandated by the African soccer confederation CAF, showed natural testosterone levels that exceeded the limits set by CAF in line with the regulations established by FIFA.

Andrew Karmanga, the president of the Football Association of Zambia, told BBC Sport Africa: "All the players had to undergo gender verification, a CAF requirement, and unfortunately [Banda] did not meet the criteria set by CAF."

Banda isn't the only member of FAZ whose test results rendered her ineligible to play. Three of her teammates also had similar tests results, though ultimately, they were not selected for the final 22-person roster anyway.

Banda, 22, first made international headlines at the Tokyo Olympics last year when she recorded hat tricks in back-to-back games, a feat that FIFA calls "an unprecedented achievement in women’s Olympic football history." It was the first time the Zambia women's soccer team had ever qualified for the Olympics, and they ultimately finished in ninth place.

According to Karmanga, the International Olympic Committee imposes "a less stringent standard" than CAF.

Thus far, CAF has not commented on Banda's ineligibility, and the organization's silence has frustrated Karmanga.

"Everybody at home [in Zambia] has been made to believe that FAZ did nothing and decided on their own to exclude the player," he said. "We the federations are compelled to undertake the tests, and then we pass on the information to CAF, and CAF, equally, test the players, if needs be, in the tournament.

"So it will be unfair to turn around and say CAF is not part and parcel of whatever has transpired," he asserted.

An official CAF document does require team physicians to attest in writing that all "players do not show any perceived deviation in secondary sex characteristics and are therefore presumed to be of female gender," and FIFA guidelines established in 2011 make similar demands for gender verification.

For now, Banda still travels with the team. At first, some hoped that medications intended to suppress testosterone would help bring her testosterone levels back down below the threshold, but even though those didn't work, Banda remains with the team for moral support.

"She's the captain of the team and she's equally important for team-building and ensuring spirit in the team," Karmanga said.

The team claims in a Facebook post that it has set its sights on qualifying for the 2022 FIFA Women's World Cup and that it is "in the background seeking redress on the circumstances surrounding some of our players."

Chuck Schumer Readying Scaled Down Build Back Better Bill

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will submit text on Wednesday for a scaled-down Build Back Better bill, that would still aim to combat alleged climate change, lower drug prices, and raise taxes.

Schumer will submit text to the Senate parliamentarian that reflects an agreement among all Senate Democrats, including Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), who previously blocked the larger Build Back Better bill, to allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug costs.

The parliamentarian will start the “Byrd Bath” review to ensure that the bill complies with the Senate rules around budgetary reconciliation, a process that allows for the Senate to pass spending bills with only a simple majority, or 51 votes.

The rest of the package, informally known as “Build Back Manchin,” is still being crafted.

The other provisions would likely include climate change and energy provisions and tax reform, which would likely amend the Trump Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to pay for the other provisions in the bill.

Schumer’s move on Wednesday does not mean that they have Senate Democrat-wide agreement on the proposal, however, it serves as a significant step to reviving one of President Joe Biden’s signature bills that failed to pass through the Senate this term.

The proposal, according to Punchbowl News, would:

… allow Medicare to begin negotiating on the price of prescription drugs in 2023, according to a summary of the provisions obtained by Punchbowl News.

The plan caps a patient’s out-of-pocket costs as $2,000 per year, with the ability to make monthly payments. There will be an “inflation rebate” to cover “arbitrary and unjustified price increases on products” that don’t change year-to-year, with drug companies forced to make up the difference if they raise prices beyond inflation.

Also included: a “premium stabilization policy” to hold down annual premium increases. “The bill changes that dynamic by incentivizing manufacturers and insurers to keep drug prices down, and puts them on the hook for higher drug prices and spending,” the summary of the legislation says.

Seniors will get free vaccines, and premium and co-pay assistance for low-income individuals will be expanded.

And one major new provision would end the “rogue secretary loophole.” Meaning a future GOP administration must continue to negotiate on Medicare drug prices.

Senate Democrats Pushing $500 Billion Climate, Obamacare Package

Senate Democrats want to pass a $500 billion package that would include major reforms to health care, climate change, and taxes, according to a report.

NBC News reported that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), who was primarily responsible for tanking the Build Back Better Act, continues to hold talks with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on a reconciliation package that would spend $500 billion and raise $1 trillion in revenue.

The package would primarily focus on health care, energy, and taxes. One source told NBC News that the “ceiling” for climate change funding would be capped at $300 billion, making it a significant fixture of the package. Another provision that would allow Medicare to negotiate the price of prescription drugs would be expected to save money.

This would allow for Senate Democrats to potentially include extending enhanced Obamacare subsidies in the bill, which would cost $220 billion if the subsidies were extended permanently, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

Manchin has not nixed the enhanced Obamacare package, although the senator, according to a NBC News source, said he is exploring options to continue the subsidies at a lower cost.

“He understands the ACA. He’s campaigned on it,” the source said.

Marc Goldwein, a policy expert at the Committee for Responsible Budget, said Manchin has a couple of options to offer enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies at a lower cost. He said the federal government could cut off benefits after a certain income threshold.

Another option Manchin could explore is reversing the 2017 Donald Trump move to help cover out-0f-pocket costs for lower-income customers. Goldwein said this could raise roughly $200 billion over ten years.

On Wednesday night, Søren Brostrøm hosted ‘Go’ Evening Live’ on TV 2, and he was asked if vaccinating children was a mistake.

Based on current information, it is inappropriate to immunize all children, according to the director-general of Denmark’s Health Authority Søren Brostrøm.

“With what we know today: yes. With what we knew then: no, was the answer,” Brostrøm answered.

Even the head of the Danish health authority admitted that vaccinating the children was a mistake.

“In hindsight, we did not get much out of vaccinating the children,” he responded.

“I want to look all parents of children who have vaccinated their child in the eye and say, ‘You did the right thing, and thank you for listening,'” Brostrøm said.

“But at the same time… and this is the important thing to maintain confidence… I will admit and say that we have become wiser and we would not do the same today. And we will not do that in the future either,” he added.

[Translation] Christine Stabell Benn, clinical professor at the University of Southern Denmark, has long been critical of the coronary vaccination of children. She had no doubt that the recommendation was unnecessary, already when Denmark went it alone and recommended them to the age group 12-15 years last summer.

– We had some vaccines with a very unknown side effect profile, and at the same time we had some children who had nothing to gain by being vaccinated, she says to TV 2.

As the National Board of Health itself has expressed that there were many uncertainties about whether it was the right decision, she also believes that the board should have adjusted the strength of their campaign. She urges the board to reconsider whether there was really a reason to “put so much pressure on the parents” to get the children vaccinated:

– In addition, children were made responsible for the health of their parents and grandparents. That, I think, is unreasonable, says Christine Stabell Benn and continues:

– I think there are a lot of parents left out there who say, “What was this all about?” There are many parents who have really struggled to get their children dragged down to the vaccination center, but to what use?

Nobody was injured but the structure has now been completely demolished for safety reasons

Elbert County, GA (July 6, 2022) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Elbert County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an explosion that destroyed the Georgia Guidestones near Elberton, GA in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 6.

The Georgia Guidestones was a granite monument erected in 1980 near Elberton, Ga. as a tribute to the quality granite from the area. Elberton is known as the Granite Capital of the World for the rock that is mined there. According to a story from Fox 5 a few years back, two-thirds of the headstones in the nation are fabricated from granite from Elberton.

According to a press release from the GBI, the preliminary information indicates that unknown individuals detonated an explosive device at around 4:00 a.m. Elbert County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to discover the explosion destroyed a large portion of the structure. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to assist with the investigation. GBI EOD are on scene conducting their examination of the site.

The GBI has released surveillance video from this morning’s explosion that show the explosion and a car leaving the scene shortly afterwards. No one was injured. For safety reasons, the structure has been completely demolished.

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. – The dad of the accused Fourth of July parade killer told The Post on Wednesday that his son talked about a mass shooting in Denmark the night before launching his own massacre — and washed his hands of any guilt over how the suspect got his gun.

The father, Robert Crimo Jr. — who has tapped one ofR. Kelly’s lawyersto battle claims he helped his mentally disturbed kid buy guns — said that the night before Monday’s shooting, he and son Robert Crimo III discussed the 22-year-old Danish man who shot and killed three people at a mall outside of Copenhagen on Sunday. 

“He goes, ‘Yeah, that guy is an idiot.’ That’s what he said!” the dad recalled his son saying of the Denmark shooter.

The father said his son added,“People like that … [commit mass shootings] to amp up the people that want to ban all guns.”

“I talked to him13hours before [Monday’s massacre]. That’s why I guess I’m in such shock. … Like, did he have apsychiatric breakor something?” the father said of his son.

On Tuesday, Steven Greenberg, who previously represented R. Kelly in the fallen singing superstar’s federalsex-trafficking caseout of Brooklyn, announced that Crimo Jr. and his estranged wife Denise had retained him in the wake of their son’s arrest. 

The father, a onetime local mayoral candidate who used to run a neighborhood sandwich shop, has faced a wave of criticism for sponsoring his son’s gun-license application, which allowed Crimo III to buy four guns, including his alleged slay weapon, before age 21.

The dad sponsored the application three months after his son was labeled a “clear and present danger” by authorities for threatening to kill relatives in 2019.

The incident, which led police to briefly confiscate a sword, dagger and 15 knives from the shooter’s home, was just a “childish outburst,” and the knives were “just a collection,” Crimo Jr. told The Post on Wednesday.

“You know I used to collect coins and baseball cards,” the dad said. 

Crimo Jr. said he decided to sponsor his son’s firearm owner’s identification card — or FOID, which allowed the young man to buy the AR-15 used in the attack — because he thought Crimo III was going to use the weapon to go to the shooting range. 

“He bought everything on his own, and they’re registered to him,” the dad said of his son’s weapons.

“They make me like I groomed him to do all this,”he said of critics. “I’ve been here my whole life, and I’m gonna stay here, hold my head up high, because I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Crimo Jr., who’s been telling reporters he isn’t the shooter’s dad but instead a caretaker for the home, said he and the suspect’s mother are “devastated” and “floored” over the bloodshed.

While the father said he’s fully supportive of his son and will continue attending all of his court hearings, he’s “furious” over his boy’s alleged actions.

“I want a long sentence,” Crimo said of his 21-year-old son. 

“That’s life. You know you have consequences for actions. He made a choice. He didn’t have to do that. I think there’s mental illness there, obviously. … I didn’t see a lot of it.” 

Crimo Jr. insisted that his son’s crimes were not motivated by hate and noted that a relative of one of his lifelong friends was injured in the shooting.

“I’m speechless with that. It just took me by such surprise. It’s horrible,” he said when asked about the victims. 

“It’s surreal. I mean essentially I lost a son, too. It sucks.”

At Least 8 Dead in Florida County in Potential ‘Mass Fentanyl Poisoning Event’

Authorities in Gadsden County, Florida, announced that eight people have died over the holiday weekend from a suspected drug overdose, while another eight have been hospitalized.

The first two apparent overdose deaths happened on July 1, when officials found two women inside a home in the St. Hebron community. That night alone, members of the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office responded to more than a dozen calls related to drug overdoses, WCTV reported.

The most recent death involved a 62-year-old man, whose body was discovered early on Tuesday at a home just west of Quincy, part of the Tallahassee metropolitan area, officials said. Gadsden County is located northwest of Tallahassee.

In a preliminary investigation, authorities found that the deaths are likely related to drugs like cocaine and marijuana being laced with fentanyl, a deadly opioid 50–100 times stronger than morphine.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on July 2 warned citizens that Gadsden County is experiencing “another potential mass fentanyl poisoning event.”

“This tragedy demonstrates yet again the extreme danger of fentanyl, which we continue to seize in all 50 states, often hidden in other drugs or made into fake pills,” DEA administrator Anne Milgram said in a statement (pdf).

“The men and women of the DEA are committed to bringing to justice the criminal drug networks and dealers that are killing Americans by deliberately distributing fentanyl and deceptively mixing it into other substances and into fake pills,” Milgrams added.

Of the eight people hospitalized from July 1 to July 5 following a suspected overdose, the youngest was a 34-year-old man and the oldest was a 67-year-old woman, the Tallahassee Democrat reported, citing local officials. Of the deceased, the youngest was a 34-year-old man and the oldest was a 60-year-old woman.

No arrests were immediately announced.

“Here in Gadsden, I have not heard of any opioid poisoning here in the county as it relates to fentanyl,” Sheriff Morris A. Young said in a video on Facebook. “But on [July 1], it was very apparent that it was here in the county, and we had about 15 calls related to it.”

Fentanyl drives addiction faster than other drugs and is extremely easy to overdose on. The powdered substance is mis-sold as different substances like cocaine, methamphetamine, or other recreational drugs.

When taken, it causes the user to become unresponsive and may result in a loss of consciousness. Some of the reported symptoms include breathing difficulties and a weak pulse.

Most fentanyl was produced in China until 2019, when the Chinese communist regime, under pressure from the West, officially banned it. Since then, the precursors to the drug continue to be made in China and are then sent around the world to customers who assemble them into the deadly drug.

Hundreds of Dutch farmers and citizens have converged on a police station in Leeuwarden where 16-year-old farmer, Jouke, is being held. The teenager is being accused of attempted manslaughter after Dutch police fired on his vehicle. Video from the scene shows the teen driving away from police.

Farmers have been protesting since June 30, after the Dutch government announced draconian climate change measures that will cause dozens of cattle farms to close. Dutch provinces are being forced to slash emissions anywhere from 12 to 70 percent depending on the area.

The agricultural sector is being hit the hardest, with the Dutch government even admitting that there will be no way to fully compensate the farmers.

In response, protesters have been using tractors and other farm equipment to block highways, airports and food distribution centers. They have also sprayed manure on government buildings and riot police.

On Tuesday night, Dutch police fired on a tractor that was blocking a food distribution center in Heerenveen. Despite the fact that the tractor was driving in the opposite direction of officers who had weapons drawn, one of them opened fire anyway.

Police accused the driver, 16-year-old Jouke, of attempting to run down police officers. A bullet missed his head by centimeters, and he has since been accused of attempted manslaughter.

In response, hundreds of protesters have converged on a police station in Leeuwarden in order to demand his release. “Free Jouke” signs have also been sprouting up across the country.

Nebraska state senator spends Fourth of July in Ukraine

Brewer has served six tours of duty and is a highly decorated retired Nebraska Army National Guard Colonel. Now, he'll be on one of several four-member civilian teams helping non-government organizations take medical gear and other supplies to Ukrainian troops on the front lines.

"They're hurting for medical supplies, especially in the saturated areas where the fighting is happening," Brewer said.

Brewer, a veteran who earned two Purple Hearts, said the destruction he has seen in Ukraine is unlike anything he saw during his six deployments in Afghanistan, where he was seriously wounded. Brewer said he wanted to make the trip not only because he is a veteran, but also to witness history. He also said he thought U.S. troops would eventually be fighting the Russians themselves at some point.

Step back for a minute and elevate the discussion to a bigger review. In the past several monthsevery single institution of policy makinghas stated, many emphatically, that a looming global food crisis is imminent. No one is hedging on this point; everyone in the geopolitical system is in alignment saying there will be food shortages.

Joe Biden, NATO, the G7, the European Union, the World Bank, USAID, and every western leader in the United States and Europe has stated there will be food shortages.

They are not saying there might be shortages; their statements are emphatic, there will be shortages.

Accept this basic cornerstone. Thenask why not a single proactive stephas been taken by any of the aforementioned institutions or governments to alleviate what they declare is a certainty. Why?

Simple question, “why?”

If all of the western nations, non-govt organizations and heads of state, are aware of a coming food crisis, why is there no proactive response?

It is a question that even the most hardcore leftists will not answer, because there is only one answer. No action is being taken because they do not want to take action. No effort to avoid the crisis is being done, because they do not want the crisis avoided.

Peel all the layers of obfuscation and causation away, and what we find is the epicenter of shortage is directly the result of the Build Back Better agenda. A post-pandemic western government deliberate decision to radically change global energy development. In succinct terms, the climate change agenda.

However, regardless of how you feel about the validity of “climate change,” the cause of diminished food supplies is purposeful. It is not climate change causing food shortages. It is the purposeful action taken under the guise of mitigating climate change that is causing the shortage of food.

The collective Build Back Better energy policy of western governments’ is the reason for massive increases in energy costs, massive oil price jumps, gasoline price increases, significant increases in chemical costs, increases in diesel fuel costs, shortages of fertilizer created using natural gas, and the end result is lower crop yields, higher farming costs and eventually, food shortages. They know this.

All of the organizations and government who have been decrying the future shortage of food, know it is the radical shift in energy resource development that is creating the crisis. This acceptance of reality begins the framework to understand just how entrenched and committed these western leaders are toward their beloved climate change agenda.

We do not yet know the scale of food shortage, but we do know -and everyone admits- there will be severe shortages on a global basis.

Western leaders will not and cannot accept the blame for what they are doing. So, they will blame-cast, excuse and justify what is likely to surface.

Food shortages will be blamed on the Ukraine conflict, Russian aggression, climate change and any various iteration of justification that does not identify the true cause, their energy ideology.

I’m not so sure that people fully understand what the entire system of western government would be willing to do to avoid being blamed for avoidable death on a potential scale that is quite alarming. All of the western leaders, institutions and governments are on the same boat.They are all in this together.

The report also found flaws in how the school maintains security of the building. The report noted that propping doors open is a common practice in the school, a practice that “can create a situation that results in danger to students.” The exterior door the gunman used to enter the school had been propped open by a teacher, who then closed it before the gunman entered — but it didn’t lock properly.

The teacher did not check to see if the door was locked, the report said. The teacher also did not appear to have the proper equipment to lock the door even if she had checked. The report also notes that even if the door had locked properly, the suspect still could have gained access to the building by shooting out the glass in the door.

An audio analysis outlined in the report shows 100 rounds were fired in the first three minutes after the gunman entered rooms 111 and 112 — from 11:33 a.m. to 11:36 a.m.

The report highlighted other issues with the law enforcement response before the gunman — an 18-year-old Uvalde man — entered rooms 111 and 112 for the last time.

The gunman was seen by security cameras entering room 111, then leaving the room, then re-entering the room before officers arrived. The report determined that the lock on room 111 “was never engaged” because the lock required a key to be inserted from the hallway side of the door.

Uvalde school district police Chief Pete Arredondo previously told The Texas Tribune that he had checked the door on room 111, but it was locked.

The officers were also in multiple teams at both ends of the south hallway of the school “resulting in a high likelihood of officers at either end of the hallway shooting officers at the other end” if the suspect had emerged from the classroom again, according to the report.

The report said that after the gunman entered the building, the officers did not properly engage the shooter and lost momentum.

“Ideally, the officers would have placed accurate return fire on the attacker when the attacker began shooting at them,” the report said. “Maintaining position or even pushing forward to a better spot to deliver accurate return fire would have undoubtedly been dangerous, and there would have been a high probability that some of the officers would have been shot or even killed. However, the officers also would likely have been able to stop the attacker and then focus on getting immediate medical care to the wounded.”

The report is likely to inform any policy responses to the tragedy, the deadliest school shooting in Texas history.

"ALERRT's 26-page report outlining the attack on Robb Elementary School in complete detail was very difficult for me to read today as it will be for all Texans," Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said in a statement. He noted that more reports from the FBI, the Texas Rangers, and the Uvalde County district attorney are expected to be released in the coming weeks and months.

President Clinton appointed Janie L. Jeffers as a Commissioner to the United States Parole Commission in 1999. She has had a distinguished career in public policy, education, executive management, public relations, planning and criminal justice at the federal and local levels.

In April 1997, she served as Executive Deputy Director for the Federal DC Interagency Task Force at the White House Office of Management and Budget, where she coordinated technical assistance to the District of Columbia government on economic development and public/private partnerships. She also worked for the First Lady and President Clinton. From 1996-1997, she was the Senior Policy Advisor for the President's Crime Prevention Council, chaired by Vice President Gore. From 1992-1996, at the Justice Department, she served as Chief of the National Office of Citizen Participation for the Bureau of Prisons. From 1985-1991, she worked for the New York City Department of Correction, rising through the ranks to become the first civilian to serve as Deputy Commissioner.

She managed citywide delivery of health care, legal and religious services and education for over 20,000 inmates with a $50 million budget. While with New York City, she was on loan to the National Institute of Corrections in Colorado to provide technical assistance to over 300 county and municipal governments. Also, Ms. Jeffers was a consultant to the World Health Organization in Geneva Switzerland on AIDS management in penal institutions in Europe and Africa. She was a field instructor at the Columbia University School of Social Work, an adjunct professor at Baruch College and an instructor at the National Academy of Corrections in Colorado. She has authored various publications, has many media credits and received numerous awards.

In 2000, Ms. Jeffers left the Commission and launched Jeffers and Associates LLC, a strategic management consulting firm providing services to Harvard University, the Justice Department, the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, the Kellogg Foundation and criminal justice organizations. She serves on several non-profit boards.

She is also an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at her alma mater – Howard University School of Social Work.

Monmouth University conducted another political poll of U.S respondents [SEE Survey HERE]. In addition to the plummeting approval of Joe Biden, the worst yet approval at 36% according to the survey, the respondents were asked to list their top concerns (Question #7).

The responses were recorded but did not come from a list presented by Monmouth. They just compiled the results. As stated, “what is the biggest concern facing your family right now?” The results show the top priorities of Americans and the disconnect between the priorities of congress and the American people are stark.

Nowhereon the expressed concerns did anyone identify

supporting Ukraine or the Russia -v- Ukraine conflict, as a priority; yet, Ukraine has taken up almost all of the legislative effort from congress. The total taxpayer-funded congressional spending is nearing $100 billion.

Additionally absent from the concerns of the American people, isany mention of the January 6th committee; again, another time wasted political exercise by a congress detached from the priorities of the electorate.

The top priorities are what we would expect to see, economic issues. Inflation, Gas Prices, the Economy and the ability to pay everyday bills (groceries) are the priorities of the American people. All of these issues are directly caused by Joe Biden and the policy of his administration. Climate change, the #1 focus of the administration, is not even in the top ten.We are in an abusive relationship with our own government.

The former F.B.I. director and his deputy, both of whom former President Donald J. Trump wanted prosecuted, were selected for a rare audit program that the tax agency says is random.

Among tax lawyers, the most invasive type of random audit carried out by the I.R.S. is known, only partly jokingly, as “an autopsy without the benefit of death.”

The odds of being selected for that audit in any given year are tiny — out of nearly 153 million individual returns filed for 2017, for example, the I.R.S. targeted about 5,000, or roughly one out of 30,600.

One of the few who received a bureaucratic letter with the news that his 2017 return would be under intensive scrutiny was James B. Comey, who had been fired as F.B.I. director that year by President Donald J. Trump. Furious over what he saw as Mr. Comey’s lack of loyalty and his pursuit of the Russia investigation, Mr. Trump had continued to rail against him even after his dismissal, accusing him of treason, calling for his prosecution and publicly complaining about the money Mr. Comey received for a book after his dismissal.

Mr. Comey was informed of the audit in 2019. Two years later, the I.R.S., still under the leadership of a Trump appointee after President Biden took office, picked about 8,000 returns for the same type of audit Mr. Comey had undergone from the 154 million individual returns filed in 2019, or about one in 19,250.

Among those who were chosen to have their 2019 returns scrutinized was the man who had been Mr. Comey’s deputy at the bureau: Andrew G. McCabe, who served several months as acting F.B.I. director after Mr. Comey’s firing.

Mr. McCabe was later dismissed by the Trump Justice Department after its watchdog accused him of misleading internal F.B.I. investigators. Like Mr. Comey, he had come to be perceived as an enemy by Mr. Trump, who assailed him, accused him of treason and raised questions about his finances long after pushing for his dismissal and prosecution, a pattern that continued even after Mr. Trump lost the 2020 election and began trying to overturn the results.

Mounting evidence continues to emerge proving the food shortages and supply chain disruptions are being manufactured by the United Nations, the World Economic Forum and the World Health Organization in an effort to institute a New World Order, global government and destroy the United States.

A 2009 op-ed published by the United Nations, which is now removed from its website, heralds hunger as “the foundation of wealth” and a means to bolster the world economy.

Hunger must be sustained to exploit manual labor, contends George Kent, a professor at the University of Hawaii’s political science department. who authored the November 2021 UN the document.

“We sometimes talk about hunger in the world as if it were a scourge that all of us want to see abolished, viewing it as comparable with the plague or aids. But that naïve view prevents us from coming to grips with what causes and sustains hunger. Hunger has great positive value to many people,” Kent notes. “Indeed, it is fundamental to the working of the world’s economy. Hungry people are the most productive people, especially where there is need for manual labour.”

Without “the threat of hunger,” essential low-paying jobs would become vacant, a labor shortage would emerge and the global economy would cease to exist, Kent continues.

“We in developed countries sometimes see poor people by the roadside holding up signs saying ‘Will Work For Food.” Actually, most people work for food. It is mainly because people need food to survive that they work so hard either in producing food for themselves in subsistence-level production, or by selling their services to others in exchange for money. How many of us would sell our services if it were not for the threat of hunger?

“More importantly, how many of us would sell our services so cheaply if it were not for the threat of hunger? When we sell ourselves cheaply, we enrich others, those who own factories, the machines and the lands, and ultimately own the people who work for them. For those who depend on the availability of cheap labour, hunger is the foundation of wealth.”
