Russia Demands Israel Stop Sovereignty-Violating Airstrikes on Syria
Warns attacks are unacceptable
Over the weekend, Israel carried out attacks against a poultry farm on the Syrian coast, wounding two civilians. Russia issued a statement Monday, warning such attacks are “categorically unacceptable.”
Russia has positions on the Syrian coast, and has warned Israel away from the area before. The latest attack came from the coast, and conspicuously Russia didn’t comment when it happened.
The Russians say it violates Syrian sovereignty, and is against international norms. Those are plainly true things, but have never stopped Israel before.
Israel has shown time and again they’re willing to keep attacking over objections. If Russia decides to flat out stop them militarily, they clearly could, but so far that’s not been the case.
Instead Russia has tried to deter further attacks with air defenses. That’s allowed Syria to intercept more Israeli missiles, but not stop them outright. This warning sounds serious, but so did the last few without any action to stop the attacks.

Trump election lawyer John Eastman dropped his lawsuit seeking to block his phone records from the January 6 Committee after the FBI ambushed him and seized his phone.
The January 6 Committee sent the feds after Trump lawyer John Eastman because he dared to take action against the Democrats and their massive election fraud operation in 2020.
John Eastman said the FBI searched and seized his phone last week, according to a court filing.
Eastman filed a federal lawsuit in New Mexico on Monday and asked a judge to order the feds to return his property and block the January 6 investigators from accessing his phone.
According to the court filing, John Eastman was exiting a restaurant with his wife and friend last week when FBI agents ambushed him and “forced” him to unlock his phone.
The federal agents then took Eastman’s iPhone 12 Pro.
The feds ambushed John Eastman on the same day they conducted a pre-dawn raid of Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark.
According to CBS News, Eastman dropped his bid to block the J6 panel from obtaining his phone records and meta data.

OPEC chief Mohammad Barkindo passes away
Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Secretary-General Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo passed away on Tuesday at the age of 63, the Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mele Kyari, said Wednesday.
Barkindo's death was announced in the early hours of Wednesday via a Tweet on Kyari's official account. He said Barkindo's passing was a great loss to his immediate family, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, OPEC, and the global energy community.
Barkindo was a Nigerian politician and had been the Secretary General of OPEC for six years at the time of his passing. His tenure was praised by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari who described him as a "worthy ambassador of Nigeria."
The cause of Barkindo's death was not announced in the Tweet publicizing his death, but it is expected to be announced soon.

The Georgia Guidestones, a granite attraction in Elbert County, are located off of Guidestone Road just east of Ga. Highway 77. Elberton Granite Association Executive VP Chris Kubas said drone footage showed the monument was significantly damaged.
Investigators said unknown people detonated an explosive device at around 4 a.m. Elbert County investigators arrived and noted a large portion of the structure. Kubas said one of the "wings" was completely destroyed.

Andrew Gillum, the once-rising Florida Democratic star who narrowly lost the 2018 governor’s race to Ron DeSantis, was hit with a 21-count federal indictment Wednesday for wire fraud, related conspiracy charges and making false statements.
Gillum, the former Tallahassee mayor, was charged along with his mentor, Sharon Lettman-Hicks, for fraudulently fundraising from "various entities" between 2016 to 2019, according to a Department of Justice press release. The Justice Department said the two allegedly diverted some of the money to a company controlled by Lettman-Hicks, who fraudulently disguised the funds as payroll payments to Gillum.
In a written statement, Gillum and his lawyers proclaimed his innocence. Lettman-Hicks — a candidate for a state House seat — has not returned texts or calls from NBC News requesting comment.
“I have spent the last 20 years of my life in public service and continue to fight for the people,” Gillum said. “Every campaign I’ve run has been done with integrity. Make no mistake that this case is not legal, it is political. Throughout my career I have always stood up for the people of Florida and have spoken truth to power. There’s been a target on my back ever since I was the mayor of Tallahassee. They found nothing then, and I have full confidence that my legal team will prove my innocence now.”

Biden DOJ Sues To Block Arizona's Proof Of Citizenship Voting Law
The Biden administration sued Arizona on Tuesday to block a new law requiring proof of citizenship in order to vote in federal elections.
Calling it a "textbook violation of the National Voter Registration Act," Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said that the law's requirement was "onerous" - and took particular issue with provisions such as "requiring election officials to reject voter registration forms based on errors or omissions that are not material to establishing a voter’s eligibility to cast a ballot."
The new law would require voters to prove citizenship using documentation such as a driver's license, passport, birth certificate or naturalization papers.
Clarke added that the new law, scheduled to take effect in January after it was signed into law by GOP Gov. Doug Ducey, is similar to an Arizona law struck down by the US Supreme Court in 2013.
The suit describes how the attorney for Arizona legislators warned them that the bill would violate federal law and contradict the earlier Supreme Court ruling. House Speaker Pro Tempore Travis Grantham said trying again "is a fight worth having," according to the court filing.
State Attorney General Mark Brnovich suggested the Justice Department was encouraging undocumented immigrants to vote by filing the lawsuit. “I will once again be in court defending Arizona against the lawlessness of the Biden administration,” Brnovich said Tuesday. -NBC News
State AG Mark Brnovich said in response to the lawsuit: "Arizona has passed a law that turns the clock back on progress by imposing unlawful and unnecessary requirements that would block eligible voters from the registration rolls for certain federal elections," tweeting later: "It’s another round of Brnovich v. Biden as his DOJ continues its attempts to undermine our election integrity laws."
As ABC13 notes:
Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich told Clarke in a letter that he intendeds to defend Arizona's H.B. 2492 all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court if needed. He pointed to his victory in a separate election integrity suit from last year, in which he argued successfully in front of the Supreme Court that Arizona election integrity laws and policies did not violate the nation's Voting Rights Act or the Constitution.
In his letter, Brnovich chided Clarke and the DOJ for using its resources “to challenge a common sense law,” while at the same time the Biden administration is “opening our borders to encourage a flood of illegal immigration.”
Brnovich questioned whether the DOJ was attempting "to undermine [Arizona's] sovereignty" and "destabilize" the state's election infrastructure.
“I hope that is not your intention," he noted. "I strongly urge you to reconsider your pursuit of this misguided suit and to instead recognize Arizona's constitutional authority to conduct lawful and secure elections.”

Uvalde Mayor Blows the Whistle, Says Officials Engaged in “Cover-Up” of Police Response to Shooting
As TFTP reported last month, the Uvalde shooter was able to fire off rounds outside the school building for 12 minutes, unobstructed and unchallenged by law enforcement before he entered the school and murdered children. He then entered the school where he was allowed to remain unhindered for 1 hour and 17 minutes before a tactical unit with Border Patrol showed up, disobeyed the order not to go in, and finally took him out.
As we reported last week, a still shot from a surveillance camera inside Robb Elementary showed that Uvalde cops were well equipped to engage the shooter. At least one of the officers is seen with a bullet proof shield nearly an hour before police would enter the classroom.
The details known by the public about the police response and subsequent investigation have many Texans claiming that a cover-up is underway. Now, the Uvalde mayor himself, Don McLaughlin, has come right out and said it.
“I’m not confident, 100%, in DPS because I think it’s a cover-up,” he said of the Texas Department of Public Safety, the lead agency tasked with investigating the reason why cops allowed the shooter to remain unchallenged for over an hour.
“McGraw’s covering up for maybe his agencies,” McLaughlin said, putting Col. Steven McCraw, the DPS director on blast.
McCraw told the Texas Senate that the police response was an “abject failure” and placed sole blame on school police chief Pedro “Pete” Arredondo. but McLaughlin says there is ore to it than the failure of a single cop.
“Every agency in that hallway is gonna have to share the blame,” he said, pointing out that multiple agencies were in the school. “At this point, I don’t know what to believe and what not to believe.”
“I lost confidence because the narrative changed from DPS so many times and when we asked questions, we weren’t getting answers.”
What makes this admission by the mayor so shocking is the fact that just two weeks ago, he said the exact opposite; “there is no cover-up.”
As we reported, parents were thrown to the ground, tasered, and handcuffed outside the school for trying to save their children, while heavily armed officers — with the proper gear to take out a shooter — were inside the school just 19 minutes after the gunman arrived.

The Kentucky Supreme Court recently ruled on a cellphone geo-tracking case. Police used realtime cellphone geo-tracking information to locate an alleged robber. The police then made an arrest based on the information they were able to gather from the suspect’s cellphone.
Police and advertisers use geo-tracking all the time. The FBI used geo-tracking before and after January 6 to identify Trump supporters who were at or near the US Capitol on January 6th.
But last week Bill Barr scoffed at the idea and laughed out loud about this technology used in “2000 Mules” to identify battleground state Democrat ballot traffickers. Either Barr is ill-informed on the use of this technology or he was deliberately misleading the sham January 6 Committee.
Barr was captured on video stating, “The election was not stolen by fraud. And I haven’t seen anything since the election that changes my mind on that, including the ‘2000 Mules’ movie.”

Courts Seal Records Of Former Clinton Aide And Epstein Associate Who Committed Suicide
On Tuesday, Circuit Judge Alice Gray granted a request from the family of former Clinton aide Mark Middleton, sealing photos, video, and other visual content related to his apparent suicide on May 7 in Perry County.
The order will allow a petitioner to request the records after the investigation is complete and the file is opened under the Freedom of Information Act.
The Judge’s order says, “The Court finds that since Mr. Middleton’s death, the Middletons have been harassed by individuals with outlandish, hurtful, unsubstantiated, and offensive conspiracy theories regarding Mr. Middleton.”
“These same individuals have indicated and communicated that they will attempt to obtain the File, including Media Content depicting Mr. Middleton’s body and the scene of his death, by way of an Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) request,” Gray continued.
She noted that the purpose of the order is “to prevent further irreparable injury to the Middletons.”
According to reports, Middleton was one of the people who introduced Clinton to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Middleton is the person who admitted Epstein to the White House several times during the Clinton presidency.
Middleton was found on May 7 hanging from a tree with a shotgun wound through his chest and hanging from an extension cord around his neck. Investigators determine Middleton’s death a suicide. The details were confirmed by Sheriff Scott Montgomery, who ceased any communication with the press shortly after speaking to Radar Online.
“He died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the chest. He found a tree, and he pulled a table over there, and he got on that table, and he took an extension cord and put it around a limb, put it around his neck, and he shot himself in the chest with a shotgun,” the Sheriff said.
According to The Daily Mail, Middleton’s family filed a lawsuit on May 23 to have all records of his death sealed. The family confirmed that Middleton committed suicide and says they have “a privacy interest” in preventing images, police sketches, or other related information from being obtained by the press.
The Middleton Family claims it would lead to “outlandish, hurtful, unsupported and offensive articles” being published that would cause harm to their family.
They argued that keeping the footage and files sealed would halt the proliferation of “unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.”

Allegations of political influence swirl around Sam Brinton.
A Department of Energy employee has reportedly alleged that the agency allowed “substantial irregularities” to influence its hiring process of Samuel Brinton, a controversial appointee whose work as a drag queen and LGBTQ+ activist has come under scrutiny.
The National Pulse first revealed Brinton’s drag queen alter ego – “Sister Ray Dee O’Active” – in early February. Yesterday, we revealed how Brinton had defended underage gay prostitution website Rentboy.com in a 2015 op-ed.
On February 2nd, an anonymous Department of Energy (DOE) whistleblower sent a letter to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Deputy Inspector General Norbert Vint, alleging that “prohibited personnel practices” were utilized in tapping Brinton for the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition.
“Undue political influence and preferences were applied” at the DOE to select Brinton for the position, which the employee also alleged Brinton was was potentially unqualified to hold, the letter claims.
Brinton’s “background is limited to select advocacy work and an academic background at the graduate-degree level which together satisfy requirements for the competitive placement of a qualified GS-11 in federal career service, not a high-standing member of the SES,” explained the employee. SES is short for Senior Executive Service, a civil service grade equivalent to general officer or flag officer rank.
“There is concern that making personnel selection decisions for career positions based on political considerations and gender-fluid identity as means of exerting political influence over the workforce, and at the expense of other better qualified candidates, is not the intent of the U.S. civil service laws or the U.S. constitution,” continued the letter, signed by a “Long serving public servant at the U.S. Department of Energy.”

Police Were Told In 2019 That Parade Shooter Vowed To ‘Kill Everyone,’ Did Not Arrest Him
Authorities revealed Tuesday afternoon that the suspect who allegedly shot dozens of people at a parade on Monday had a history of run-ins with law enforcement officials.
Lake County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Christopher Covelli disclosed the information at a press conference after the 21-year-old dressed in drag and killed seven people and wounded more than a dozen others at a parade in Highland Park, Illinois.
The Daily Wire is not naming the suspect due to company policy about not giving notoriety to mass killers because studies suggest that the media’s coverage of mass shootings sparks more mass shootings.
“I’m going to relay some information from two prior instances that occurred here in Highland Park,” Covelli said. “The first was in April of 2019. An individual contacted Highland Park Police Department a week after learning of [the suspect] attempting suicide. This was a delayed report, so Highland Park still responded to the residence a week later, spoke with [the suspect], spoke with [the suspect’s] parents, and the matter was being handled by mental health professionals at that time, there was no law enforcement action to be taken. It was a mental health issue and handled by those professionals.”
“The second occurred in September of 2019,” Covelli continued. “A family member reported that [the suspect] said he was going to kill everyone and [the suspect] had a collection of knives. The police responded to his residence, the police removed 16 knives, a dagger, and a sword from [the suspect’s] home. At that time, there was no probable cause to arrest, there were no complaints that were signed by any of the victims. The Highland Park Police Department, however, did immediately notify the Illinois State Police of the incident.”
One of the suspect’s neighbors said that there were signs “for a long time” that something would happen. “There were always police cars at the house. The parents were arguing, fighting all the time.”
Jeremy Cahnmann, who ran an after-school sports program that the suspect attended, said that the suspect’s parents were a problem.
“I remember the parents more than him because they were kind of a problem,” he said. “There wasn’t a lot of love in that family.”
“[The suspect’s mother] got into it once with one of the heads of the program, she was yelling,” he recalled. “It seemed like her kids were a nuisance to her.”
A previous version of this article said the suspect is 22-years-old. He is 21-years-old.

Video footage released by the IRGC claimed to show the deputy ambassador near a site where Iran was conducting missile exercises.
The deputy head of the United Kingdom's mission in Iran, Giles Whitaker, and a number of other diplomats were detained by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on claims of spying and taking samples of soil from a "prohibited area," Iranian media reported on Wednesday.
Video footage released by the IRGC claimed to show the deputy ambassador near a site where Iran was conducting missile exercises.
In January 2020, then UK ambassador to Iran, Rob Macaire, was arrested at a vigil for the 176 people who were killed when a Ukraine International Airlines aircraft was shot down by the IRGC. Protests broke out throughout Iran, including in Tehran, after the plane was downed.
Macaire was released and returned to London for a period of about three weeks before returning to Iran in February 2020. Simon Shercliff is the current British ambassador to Iran.

From England, Christopher Wray and Ken McCallum issued a warning to the business sector about ongoing, massive Chinese espionage operations.
The heads of the FBI and Britain's domestic intelligence and security service – MI5 – issues a rare joint warning to Western business leaders about the threats posed by Chinese espionage, particularly efforts to steal intellectual property from Western tech outfits.
In a joint appearance on Wednesday at MI5 headquarters, FBI director Christopher Wray and MI5 director-general Ken McCallum encouraged industry leaders not to underestimate the scope of Beijing's espionage campaign.
Wray said to the audience, according to the Wall Street Journal, "The Chinese government is set on stealing your technology – whatever it is that makes your industry tick – and using it to undercut your business and dominate your market. They’re set on using every tool at their disposal to do it."
China, said McCallum, is engaged in a "coordinated campaign on a grand scale," which indicates a "strategic contest across the decades."
It is well-known, though not necessarily well combated, that China utilizes state-sponsored hacking on a global scale with operatives all around the world in order to gain access to technology it desires.
Wray said that, at present, the FBI opens a new counterintelligence investigation into China close to every 12 hours. McCallum, likewise, noted that MI5 is overseeing seven times as many investigations into suspicious Chinese activity as it was in 2018.

Russian authorities investigated Jewish Agency for three years
Russia has been inspecting the Jewish Agency for three years before ordering it to stop operations in the country.
The Jewish Agency has been under investigation by Russian officials for the past three years, during which information and hardware from their offices were examined closely.
In a letter sent to the Jewish Agency this week, revealed exclusively by The Jerusalem Post, the Agency received a list of what the Russian Justice Ministry sees as violations of the law and the consequences of these violations.
As reported on Tuesday, a senior Israeli diplomatic official said that “Russia has claimed that the Jewish Agency illegally collected information about Russian citizens.”
As every organization would do, especially ones that promote immigration to another country, the Jewish Agency’s offices in Russia collect information about people who apply for aliyah or who participate in their activities.
According to DLA Piper, a multinational law firm, amendments to the Russian Data Protection Act were adopted and came into force in 2015. The amendments require all personal data operators to store and process any personal data of Russian individuals within databases located in Russia (subject to few exceptions).
Violations of Russian law
According to the amendment, the penalty for violation of this requirement is ultimately the blocking of websites involving unlawful handling of Russian personal data.
According to the Russian law, in order to transfer personal data outside Russia’s borders, the operator has to ensure that the rights of personal data subjects will have a high level of protection in the new country destination – before actually transferring the data.
The ministry indicated that the agency officials in Russia have violated the law, since the information gathered there is shared with its offices in Jerusalem or with Israeli government offices in order to proceed with immigration.
The letter stated that the agency should respond to the allegations and may have to cease activities in Russia if found guilty of the charges.

Zvi Yehezkeli, Arab affairs analyst at Israeli Channel 13 commented on the statement of the caretaker Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation, Yair Lapid, by saying that "some have interpreted Lapid's remarks in Paris regarding the nuclear deal as a partial support or acknowledgment of its inevitable restoration and the likelihood that Israel will somewhat accept it."
"Because of the circumstances in Iran, I believe Israel will accept the offer to ease the pressure. It would be incorrect to assume that Israel is in favor of the agreement," he added.
"To be honest, Biden will hear a lot of worries after arriving here and visiting Saudi Arabia, but he will actually depart and a deal will be reached", he said.
He continued, "Israel has to find a solution sooner or later. This is not in our hands, and the world is the one who determines."
The Israeli analyst advised "Israel" to live with the reality that there is a nuclear agreement and that Iranians have nuclear weapons.
"We are at war with Iran," he concluded.
French President Emmanuel Macron stated, on Tuesday, that the JCPOA, a 2015 nuclear agreement between major nations and Iran, needs to be revived while taking "Israel" and other regional partners' interests into consideration.
During a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, Macron told reporters that "we have to defend this (nuclear) deal (with Iran). And take in account the interests of our friends in the area, primarily Israel."

Russia Deployed 600 Paratroopers At Key Northeastern Syria Airport
The Russian military had deployed 600 paratroopers at al-Qamishli Airport in northeastern Syria, Russian sources revealed on July 3.
The first batch of 300 paratroops arrived at the airport, which is the main base of the Russian military in the northeastern Syria, on July 1. Two days later, a second batch of 300 paratroopers arrive at the airport. The paratroops were moved into the airport aboard several Russian Il-76 airlifters.
The deployment came amid ongoing preparations by Turkish military and its proxies to launch a new large-scale operation against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern and northeastern Syria.
The Russia military has been bolstering its presence in al-Qamishli airport to deal with this new Turkish threat. In May, Su-34 fighter bombers and Ka-52 attack helicopters were deployed at the airport. Later in June, the airport’s defenses were straightened with several additional Pantsir-S1 air-defense systems.
While Russia is not a backer of the SDF, it is the guarantor of several de-escalation agreements with Turkey on northern and northeastern Syria.
Moscow believes that a new Turkish military operation in northern and northeastern Syria could hurt the humanitarian situation in these regions, push Kurds towards separatism and even risk a full-blown confrontation between Ankara and Damascus.
Russia has been engaging diplomatically with Turkey to prevent a new operation, so does Iran. Yet, recent statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan indicate that Ankara is determined to go on with military plans.
