FBI Director Says Atlanta Massage Parlor Murder Spree "Does Not Appear To Be Racially Motivated
Having successfully summited the stairs into Air Force One this afternoon, President Biden (and his administration full of desperate virtue-signaling panderers) are currently in Atlanta, Georgia, to speak with leaders of the Asian communities there, after a shooting spree targeting three massage parlors.
The attack was horrific leaving eight people dead (six of whom were of Asian descent) because our society doesn’t value human life.
The man pulling the trigger was white, and therefore, this must be a race-related hate crime committed by a white supremacist.
(If this were race-related, one would expect all eight victims to be of the same race? Or was that part of his cunning plan to throw off investigators to his real racist motives?)
The problem is, as much as the left wants it to be, it wasn’t ‘race’ that caused the man to commit these crimes.
Specifically, as we previously noted, the man arrested for the murders reportedly said he committed the crime spree because “it’s a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate.”
He admitted that he has a “sex addiction” and frequently used these “massage parlors” to feed his sex habit. Six of the eight victims were of Asian descent.
Of course, that wasn't good enough and "investigations" into his motives continued…
But, in an interview with NPR last night, FBI Director Wray came clean:
“So obviously, it’s a heartbreaking incident, and it hits particularly close to home for me since I consider Atlanta home…
The FBI is supporting state and local law enforcement, specifically APD, the Atlanta Police Department, and the [Cherokee County] Sheriff’s Office. So we’re actively involved but in a support role.”
Director Wray continued saying:
“And while the motive remains still under investigation at the moment, it does not appear that the motive was racially motivated.”

California Caves on AR-15 Registration Fight
State to reopen bungled registration system, pay gun group six figures in attorneys' fees
California will reopen its "assault weapons" registration process and pause prosecutions after settling with a gun group over accusations that the process hindered the Second Amendment rights of residents.
California will let gun owners file new registrations, avoid prosecutions of registration violations for at least seven months, and pay the Firearms Policy Coalition $151,821.42 for lawyers' fees, according to the terms of the agreement. Once the court approves the settlement, California will start a campaign to inform the public of the new registration process and give owners of the banned AR-15 variants up to three months to register them.
The expanded ban targeted AR-15s and other guns with reloading devices called "bullet buttons" and went into effect in 2016. The registration system set up by then-state attorney general Xavier Becerra (D.), whom President Joe Biden has since appointed secretary of health and human services, was riddled with technical problems. Many California gun owners were locked out of the registration system. In 2018, the Firearms Policy Coalition estimated only 3 percent of Californian gun owners registered their guns under the new system.
The California Department of Justice "believes the proposed settlement is in the best interest of the people of California, and will ensure that lawfully owned assault weapons are registered with the Bureau of Firearms," a spokesperson told the Washington Free Beacon.
Firearms Policy Coalition president Brandon Combs said the settlement exceeded his group's expectations. He pointed to the agreement's prolonged grace period as a major victory. Under the terms of the agreement, California must wait 210 days before it can begin enforcing and prosecuting residents.
"After we got into discovery and saw just how bad the state handled the situation, we actually got more out of this settlement than we asked for in the case," he told the Free Beacon.
Combs said the group is hoping to keep up the momentum from the settlement and strike down the state's gun ban in Miller v. Becerra, which is still being litigated. He called California's ban "unconstitutional" and "immoral" and said it should not be allowed to stand.

The federal government won't let Michigan shut down the Line 5 pipeline, Canada's natural resources minister said Thursday as he dismissed opposition comparisons to the thwartedKeystone XL project.
Seamus O'Regan sounded almost combative as he vowed to defend the 1,000-kilometre line,which bridges an environmentally sensitive part of the Great Lakesto link Wisconsin with refineries in Sarnia, Ont.
"We are fighting on a diplomatic front, and we are preparing to invoke whatever measures we need to in order to make sure that Line 5 remains operational," he said. "The operation of Line 5 is non-negotiable."
In November, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ordered Line 5 to be shut down by May, accusing Calgary-based Enbridge of violating the terms of the deal that allows the lineto traverse the bottom of the Straits of Mackinac.
The straits, which link Lake Michigan and Lake Huron, boast powerful, rapidly changing currents that experts have said make the area the worst possible place for an oil spill in the Great Lakes.
Pipeline opponents in the U.S. —many of the same voices who helped make TC Energy's proposed Keystone XL expansion an environmental rallying point over the last decade — have vowed to see it shut down.
Enbridge, which has plans to fortify the underwater segment of the line by routing it through a tunnel under the lake bed, is fighting Whitmer's order in court.
Kirsten Hillman, Canada's ambassador to the U.S., said Michigan's concerns over Line 5 predate Whitmer and have been a topic of frequent discussion for embassy officialssince 2017.
O'Regan also took pains to insist he remains "confident" that Enbridge and Michigan will reach an agreement to allow the line to continue to operatebefore Whitmer's drop-dead date in May.
Conservative MP Mark Strahl noted that the federal government had failed to prevent U.S. President Joe Biden from cancelling Keystone XL, and pressed O'Regan on how the plan for Line 5 is different.
"It sounds an awful lot like the plan to advocate for Line 5 is a carbon copy of the plan to advocate for Keystone XL," Strahl said. "Why are you expecting a different result?"
"These are very different," O'Regan said as he defended the federal Liberal efforts onKeystone XL, which Biden cancelled on his first day in the White House.

Ralph Northam is giving 69,000 felons the right to vote as the gubernatorial election looms.
Virginia Governor Ralph “Blackface” Northam is calling for backup ahead of an election cycle Democrats fear could sweep them out of power in the state, restoring voting rights for over 69,000 convicted felons less than 8 months ahead of Election Day.
While incumbent Northam isn’t eligible for re-election himself due to consecutive term limiting, his old boss Terry McAuliffe is, and he’s running to become the first Virginia Governor in nearly half a century to be elected to two non-consecutive terms. As Governor, McAuliffe had no issue using even the most violent of convicted felons for Democrat political purposes, once bragging that he had re-enfranchised more felons than any Governor in American history.
Now, it would appear his successor and former Lieutenant is taking a page from his book just in time for McAuliffe, the presumptive Democrat nominee for Governor, to face off against a tsunami of support for Republican and conservative causes, a tsunami which has only gained in strength as evidence of severe 2020 Democrat election fraud in Virginia continues to mount.
Northam’s new executive order effectively provides a shortcut for Democrats to register legions of criminal voters without being forced to go through the process of seeing a constitutional amendment approved. Despite a similar effort to amend the state’s constitution already being in the works, the process would be far from complete by the time Election Day 2021 rolls around and therefore, would be of no benefit to Northam, McAuliffe, and their party at the time being.
Under the order, convicted felons released from prison will see their voting rights immediately restored, regardless of probation status or the existence of outstanding arrest warrants and criminal charges.
While the move will almost certainly be challenged in court, as a similar move by McAuliffe ahead of the 2016 Presidential Election was, as was the case then, a potential ruling will almost certainly come well after Election Day and well after the damage to Virginia’s elections has been done.
Meanwhile, U.S. House candidate Jarome Bell has called for Northam’s arrest after he was implicated in a COVID-19 nursing home scandal reminiscent of the scandal New York Governor Andrew Cuomo finds himself facing.

Media Spreads Misleading Context About Atlanta Police Officer’s Comments On Massage Parlor Shooter
Vox’s Aaron Rupar spread viral misleading context regarding the Atlanta shooting incident by sharing a clip that he claimed showed a law enforcement official making excuses for the shooter.
“‘Yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did’ — a law enforcement official explains Robert Aaron Long’s decision to kill 8 people in a strange manner,” Rupar tweeted March 17 alongside a short clip of Cherokee County Sheriff Capt. Jay Baker speaking.
Rupar’s tweet soon went viral, amassing more than 10 million views and sparking subsequent misinformation from multiple publications. Some on social media, however, pointed out that Rupar’s tweet was missing key information: Baker was not defending or dismissing the situation, but rather explaining what the shooter Long allegedly told investigators.
“How many people even bothered to watch this clip, let alone the full video?” writer Cathy Young tweeted regarding Rupar’s clip. Young shared the full video of the press conference showing that Baker was, in fact, explaining to reporters what Long said after the shootings.
“He claims – and as the chief said, it’s still early – but he does claim that it was not racially motivated,” Baker noted in the video showing fuller context. “He apparently has an issue, what he considers a sex addiction, and sees these locations as something that allows him to go to these places. And it’s a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate. Like I said, it’s still early on, but those were comments that he made.”
Shortly after, a reporter asked if Baker felt the alleged shooter “understood the gravity” of his actions.

All of the many creepy, calculating, invasive investigative and surveillance tools the government has acquired over the years are on full display right now in the FBI’s ongoing efforts to bring the rioters to “justice.”
FBI agents are matching photos with drivers’ license pictures; tracking movements by way of license plate toll readers; and zooming in on physical identifying marks such as moles, scars and tattoos, as well as brands, logos and symbols on clothing and backpacks. They’re poring over hours of security and body camera footage; scouring social media posts; triangulating data from cellphone towers and WiFi signals; layering facial recognition software on top of that; and then cross-referencing footage with public social media posts.
It’s not just the FBI on the hunt, however.
They’ve enlisted the help of volunteer posses of private citizens, such as Deep State Dogs, to collaborate on the grunt work. As Dinah Voyles Pulver reports, once Deep State Dogs locates a person and confirms their identity, they put a package together with the person’s name, address, phone number and several images and send it to the FBI.
