SEOUL, South Korea – In North Korea’s first comments directed at the Biden administration, Kim Jong Un’s powerful sister on Tuesday warned the United States to “refrain from causing a stink” if it wants to “sleep in peace” for the next four years.

Kim Yo Jong’s statement was issued as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin arrived in Asia to talk with U.S. allies Japan and South Korea about North Korea and other regional issues. They have meetings in Tokyo on Tuesday before speaking to officials in Seoul on Wednesday.

“We take this opportunity to warn the new U.S. administration trying hard to give off (gun) powder smell in our land,” she said. “If it wants to sleep in peace for coming four years, it had better refrain from causing a stink at its first step.”

Kim Yo Jong, a senior official who handles inter-Korean affairs, also criticized the U.S. and South Korea for holding military exercises. She also said the North would consider abandoning a 2018 bilateral agreement on reducing military tensions and abolish a decades-old ruling party unit tasked to handle inter-Korean relations if it no longer had to cooperate with the South.

She said the North would also consider scrapping an office that handled South Korean tours to the North’s scenic Diamond Mountain, which Seoul suspended in 2008 after a North Korean guard fatally shot a South Korean tourist.

The North “will watch the future attitude and actions of the (South Korean) authorities,” before determining whether to take exceptional measures against its rival, she said in her statement published in Pyongyang’s official Rodong Sinmun newspaper.

Challenges posed by North Korea’s nuclear arsenal and China’s growing influence loom large in the Biden administration’s first Cabinet-level trip abroad, part of a larger effort to bolster U.S. influence and clam concerns about the U.S. role in Asia following four years of President Donald Trump’s “America first” approach.

A senior official from the Biden administration said Saturday that U.S. officials have tried to reach out to North Korea through multiple channels since last month, but had yet to receive a response. The official was not authorized to publicly discuss the diplomatic outreach and spoke on condition of anonymity.

“This is Kim Yo Jong continuing to be the tip of the wedge North Korea tries to drive between South Korea and its U.S. ally,” said Leif-Eric Easley, a professor of international studies at Ewha University in Seoul. “North Korea’s latest threats mean the allies have precious little time to coordinate their approaches on deterrence, sanctions and engagement.”

Biden’s presidency begins as Kim Jong Un faces perhaps the toughest moment of his nine-year rule. His country’s battered economy has decayed further amid pandemic border closures while his summits with Trump failed to lift crippling sanctions.

After having lived together through the lost year of 2020-21, many of my long-held beliefs regarding this country have sadly slipped away.

Like many of us, when the lockdowns first began, I believed the directives were basically suggestions from the government that, for our own protection, we needed to close everything down for 15 days. Let’s face it, nearly everyone was scared out of their minds listening to the “experts” saying this would probably kill millions of Americans in 2020, and we complied out of duty and obligation to other citizens and our families. We were only doing what seemed prudent. We were sure we would come out the other side, begin our lives again, and if things were not in a completely normal state, then they’d only be somewhat modified.

But when the state governments began picking and choosing which businesses could reopen and which ones could not—coming up with crazy and specific lists of how businesses may reopen, and demanding everyone wear masks—I realized government “suggestions” actually had teeth and were not suggestions at all.

Apparently, emergency powers supersede all constitutional rights. I did not realize before the pandemic that this was the case. Although some governors, like Kristi Noem of South Dakota, put trust in her citizens after giving them the information they needed, refusing to lock down and cripple her state businesses and citizens, too many other Republican governors followed the herd. Unbeknownst to me, we actually live in large fiefdoms called states in which you may have either a freedom loving governor, a benevolent dictator, or a medieval king doling out crumbs to the masses and telling them to eat cake when they complain.

Pre-pandemic, I also believed that the American people would never put up with such an obvious political power ploy as mandating mask-wearing outside in beaches and parks. If you’ve ever seen the poor indoctrinated souls driving in their cars alone wearing a mask (or two!) or bicycling with their masks on, then you know my prior belief was quickly put to bed.

Possibly the strongest belief I had going into last year and the one I was saddest to lose when I realized it simply wasn’t true anymore, was the belief that we were still a free country.

Biden’s teleprompter speech Thursday evening paraded his non-belief in the Constitution. While claiming to be a unity president, not only did he give President Trump and his team zero credit for getting the vaccine fast-tracked and the country supplied with at least 100 million doses, he, Emperor No-Clothes, pronounced that he has decided we might be able to get outside with our close family members for the 4th of July, only if we are good boys and girls.

If the new normal means the Democrats-in-charge will have the power to dictate the nature of small outdoor family gatherings two full months after his goal of getting every willing person vaccinated, then Biden doesn’t understand the meaning of Independence Day.

NC 'domestic terrorist' sentenced over failed fire attack on police SUV during George Floyd unrest

A man from North Carolina – who federal prosecutors deemed a "domestic terrorist" – was sentenced Monday to 30 months in prison for attempting to set fire to a marked police vehicle during demonstrations last summer that erupted in the state capital of Raleigh in reaction to the viral bystander video showing George Floyd pinned beneath Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin's knee.

Jabari Devon Davis, of Raleigh, was arrested by special agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) on June 4, 2020. He was charged and convicted of one count of attempting to damage or destroy by fire a vehicle owned or possessed by an institution receiving federal financial assistance, G. Norman Acker III, acting U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, said in a statement Monday following Davis' sentencing by U.S. District Judge James C. Dever III.

On May 31, 2020, at approximately 12:31 a.m. a fire was discovered coming from the "fuel filler area" of a police vehicle owned by the Raleigh Police Department (RPD) that was parked at the Raleigh Police Southeast District Station (RPSDS), according to court documents.

The fire was discovered and extinguished by an RPD captain who was driving through the parking lot prior to the fire department's arrival. Investigators seized "a charred sock located within the fuel filler of the damaged vehicle, a bottle with the odor of gasoline was located on the sidewalk, behind the damaged vehicle, and another charred sock located between the vehicle and the sidewalk," prosecutors said. The fire caused approximately $5,000 in damage to the police vehicle.

Demonstrations in Raleigh at the time involved crowds setting fires in the street, smashing businesses’ windows and some climbing a Confederate monument downtown, tagging it with messages including "Black Lives Matter," WRAL previously reported. North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper activated 450 National Guardsmen to assist cities including Raleigh and Charlotte.

On June 2, 2020, investigators were notified that a fingerprint was lifted from the seized bottle recovered at the scene and determined the fingerprint belonged to Davis, according to court documents. Law enforcement interviewed Davis at his residence the next day when he allegedly "admitted to being the subject who intentionally set the police vehicle at the Southeast District on fire."

Hans Globke, who wrote notorious guidebook on anti-Jewish Nuremberg Laws, later helped prepare secret $5.5b loan for development of Dimona reactor, Times of London reveals

Globke went on to serve as chief of staff and a trusted confidant to former conservative West German chancellor Konrad Adenauer, between 1953 and 1963, and was responsible for recruitment to the heart of the West German government.

His continued service in the West German government led him, in turn, to a well-connected position within the intelligence community.

This position and his connections were used to ensure Globke’s name did not come up in the 1961-1962 trial of Eichmann in Israel, and, with help from the CIA, to ensure his name was also kept out of documents related to the trial. “The Germans persuaded the White House to get the CIA to expunge all mention of Globke from a serialization of Eichmann’s memoirs in an American magazine,” The Times reported. More than that, Eichmann’s lawyer, Robert Servatius, who was also “a West German intelligence asset, cut Globke’s name and others out of his client’s final speech to the court.”

And, over a billion years, up to a quintillion (a 1 followed by 18 zeros) lightning strikes may have hit our young planet, each one releasing a bit of usable phosphorus, Hess said. The team calculated that, between 4.5 billion and 3.5 billion years ago, lightning strikes alone could have given Earth anywhere from 250 to 25,000 pounds of phosphorus (110 to 11,000 kilograms) per year.

Recently, a document has been circulating from the Heritage Foundation, which purports to analyze “red flag” Gun Confiscation Orders. (See “Answers to Common Questions About ‘Red Flag’ Gun Laws,” August 16, 2019.)

We have read, analyzed, and fought about 40 of these bills around the country. Sadly, not only does the Heritage Foundation appear not to have analyzed those bills, this recent paper appears to be nothing but a recitation of Bloomberg/Gifford’s talking points.

The first problem is Heritage’s failure to acknowledge that the “red flag” template was drafted by the gun control lobby (see David Kopel testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee). It is one of the gun control lobby’s two chief priorities.

In most of the states where it has been seriously proposed, it was fought by the whole pro-gun movement, including GOA and NRA.

And Second Amendment opponents intend for “red flag” laws to be the battering ram to open the door to comprehensive gun control in red states.

So in no jurisdiction where the U.S. Constitution is applicable should “red flag” laws ever be entertained as a “conservative” option.

Interestingly, Thomas Jipping of the Heritage Foundation penned a very thorough critique of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) in July. And one of Jipping’s chief criticisms was the inclusion of a red flag-style provision in VAWA. Says Jipping:

[VAWA] creates, for the first time, the possibility of losing one’s constitutional right to possess a firearm and the potential for up to a decade in prison by a court order issued without the individual’s knowledge or the opportunity to contest it. This very serious compromise in application of the Second and Fifth Amendments would be accomplished by legislation passed through an orchestrated process with virtually no consideration.

The problem that Jipping is describing here is the problem with “red flag” Gun Confiscation Orders across the country. Unfortunately, the more recent “Answers to Common Questions” article from the Heritage Foundation seems to gloss over these serious violations of Due Process rights.

2004 - During the 10 years "assault" weapons banned, there were 122 deaths. The Assault Rifle bill expired and was not renewed because there was not a significant decrease in deaths. Repeat deaths did not decrease during the ban.

Immediately after the ban was not passed again, deaths start to increase (nearly double) for the rest of Bush's term. 4 years - 101 deaths, nearly double the previous rate.

2009 Obama sworn in. Fast and Furious starts with the openly declared war on gun dealers by Obama's DOJ in March 2009. Shortly thereafter, gang members tweet about wooden crates loaded full of semi-auto rifles mysteriously dropped off in Chicago's poorest black crime-ridden neighborhoods. Communist ridden Chicago makes headlines constantly for the weekend shootings and deaths.

Total deaths during Obama years - 296. The significant increase in deaths needed to pass the weapons ban again was achieved. But, apparently Feinstein was unable to introduce another assault rifle bill when Obama was in office because.. Obama admin got caught in the Fast and Furious scandal.

Embattled California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) said “right-wing” groups like QAnon supporters and Proud Boys are behind efforts to boot him from office on Tuesday during an appearance on “The View.”

Republicans launched a robust effort to recall Gavin Newsom and gathered more than $2 million of the $1.5 million signatures needed by the March 17 deadline.

According to reports, more than 30% of the people who signed the petition to recall Newsom are Democrats and Independents, but Newsom blamed QAnon.

Newsom told Joy Behar that the “top ten proponents” of the recall effort against him are members of various “right-wing” extremist groups who “supported the insurrection and quite literally, enthusiastically support QAnon conspiracy theories.”

“That’s the origin here,” he said.

Now that President Trump is out of the White House, vast numbers of migrants have been flooding toward our southern border over the past couple of months. They are desperate for a better life, and the perception that Joe Biden is implementing “open border policies” gives them hope that they will be allowed in.

But when they try to cross the border, approximately 70 percent of those that are intercepted by CBP are turned away…

Customs and Border Protection officers have encountered over 100,000 migrants at the border in February alone, highlighting how overwhelming the situation has become.

The vast majority of migrants – around 70%, according to one source – are expelled via public health order Title 42 that allows authorities to quickly return migrants to their country of travel.

But of course countless more migrants are making it in through gaps in our porous border security. When the Daily Mail sent a team down to the Rio Grande, they witnessed traffickers bringing migrants across the river over and over again…

As the night drew on, this brief, chaotic encounter was repeated again and again as scores of migrants crossed one of the narrowest sections of the Rio Grande with virtual impunity.

Over a two-hour period we watched in disbelief as the three-man trafficking crew made five drop-offs, cramming as many as ten people into a boat designed for four.

Of the 96 newcomers they dumped onto a slippery riverbank in Roma, an hour’s drive west of McAllen, 13 were unaccompanied children, including sisters aged five and 12.

Prosecutors in Italy have launched a manslaughter investigation after a music teacher there died hours after getting the controversial AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

Great men are almost always bad men…” When society grants authority to people — who are prone to corruption — many times, these people will use this authority to enrich themselves and violate the laws of the system that grants them their power. Because of the war on drugs, bad cops are put into positions all the time that allow them to make money breaking laws which they will arrest others for violating.

Three of these bad cops have been held accountable for using their power for corruption and were sentenced this week for their roles in drug conspiracies.

According to the Department of Justice, three former deputies with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office – Carolyn Colter Franklin, 64; Allan Hunter, 52; and Nathaniel Miller Shazier, III, 29 – all from Orangeburg County, were sentenced to multi-year sentences in federal prison for using their positions as law enforcement officers to conspire with who they believed to be members of a Mexican drug cartel.

Franklin and Hunter faced additional sentencing on federal charges for their role in a fake U-visa conspiracy in which they took bribes to provide cartel members with fraudulent documents.

“Those sentenced were trusted by their communities to serve and protect,” said Susan Ferensic, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent in Charge. “Instead, while still wearing a badge, they decided to work on behalf of a drug cartel and facilitate the distribution of illegal drugs. Keeping to the FBI’s mission, we aggressively pursued this investigation bringing together dedicated Agents and an array of resources to root out corrupt law enforcement officers who dishonor the profession. The FBI is committed to ensuring law enforcement maintains the trust of the public it serves by never ceasing to pursue the corrupt.”

According to the FBI, during an undercover operation the three disgraced deputies agreed to protect trucks containing what they believed were drug proceeds derived from narcotics distribution by members of a Mexican drug cartel drug ring.

Evidence presented to the Court showed that, during an undercover operation conducted by the FBI between December 2018 and March 2019, Franklin, Hunter, and Shazier agreed to help protect trucks containing what they believed were drug proceeds derived from narcotics distribution by members of a Mexican drug cartel drug ring. The members were actually undercover FBI agents. Additionally, the three agreed to help protect trucks containing kilogram quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine in the future.

Evidence presented in court also showed that, between February 2018 and March 2019, in exchange for bribes, Franklin and Hunter created fraudulent documents for non-immigrants. Specifically, the documents were designed to help the immigrants achieve U non-immigrant status, which, by statute, is reserved for victims of certain crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse and are helpful to law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of criminal activity.

Senior United States District Judge Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. sentenced Franklin to 61 months in federal prison, Hunter to 63 months in federal prison, and Shazier to 46 months in federal prison. Each defendant’s sentence will be followed by 36 months of supervised release.

“These sentences highlight that no one is above the law,” said Acting U.S. Attorney M. Rhett DeHart. “Anyone brazen enough to conspire with cartels to commit crimes, especially those placed in public trust, will be met with the full force of the federal government.”

Republican Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger’s office offered an internship to a Russian immigrant beauty queen who met Kinzinger through her internship application. She then dated Kinzinger for about four months and sent Kinzinger racy photos at his request, according to extensive communications between the woman and a NATIONAL FILE source. The woman, Olga Kambod, provided sexually charged and volatile 2018 text messages between herself and a phone number that matches Kinzinger’s former phone number on publicly available records. Kambod also provided emails from Kinzinger’s congressional staff discussing internship duties.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, a frequent critic of the America First movement, became angry at Olga Kambod after she accused him of suffering from “low levels of testosterone,” according to messages Kambod provided to our source. Kambod did not end up serving as an intern for Kinzinger. Olga Kambod was subjected to an over-the-phone intimidation campaign including from a caller who identified himself as “Capitol Police” to silence her about her relationship with the congressman after Kinzinger began dating his current wife, according to Kambod. “In my opinion he doesn’t respect women,” Olga Kambod confided to our source.

Olga Kambod, who reportedly graduated from law school and worked for a criminal defense attorney, was recently in the news for surviving an acid attack that left permanent scarring on one side of her face. Olga Kambod, who has a public Facebook page and also a personal Facebook profile on which she posts as “Olga Alexia,” provided extensive information and documentation to NATIONAL FILE’s source to verify her identity.

Olga Kambod told our source that she met Kinzinger around February 2018 when she applied to be his intern.

I saw him last time in October in Dixon,” Olga Kambod said, noting that she did not fly in Kinzinger’s plane but used United Airlines to fly to his location to meet him.

“Not to be pushy but Did you guys get close enough to say you had a relationship?,” our source asked, to which Kambod replied “Yes that’s why it hurts.” Asked if she thought Kinzinger used her, Kambod replied, “I think he was choosing.”

Vadim Subbotin, deputy head of watchdog Roskomnadzor, said on Tuesday that the ban would come into effect unless Twitter removed the content, which he said includes child porn and information on child suicide and drugs.

But critics say the crackdown is actually an attempt to stop Putin's political opponents organising rallies, as they did in a number of cities earlier this year.

Subbotin issued his threat just a day after Putin's main critic, Alexei Navalny, posted his first update from inside jail - sharing an image of himself with a shaved head.

New information about the failure to protect the U.S. Capitol – despite intelligence suggesting a pre-planned attack – asserts that it was President Trump’s team that forced the issue of National Guard deployment, while Army officials at the Pentagon were more concerned about the backlash they might face from the media, the DC Mayor, and the political left.

The Washington Post claims to have seen a draft, internal memo from the Pentagon revealing that military planners rejected the idea of National Guard deployment ahead of the Capitol riot. This follows the news – first reported by Vanity Fair – that Trump had insisted on deploying 10,000 Guard troops in part to ensure the security of the event he was speaking at, 45 minutes walk down the road.

“You’re going to need 10,000 people… You do what you need to do. You do what you need to do,” Trump told his Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller.

Miller rightly pointed out, “…you know, someone’s going to have to ask for it.”

Now we know Miller tried his best, despite no D.C. request for Guard troops. He obeyed The Commander-in-Chief’s orders and attempted to ensure a Guard deployment in the face of an obstructionist Pentagon.

Under Pressure.

According to the latest information: “The Army ultimately relented after facing pressure from acting defense secretary Christopher C. Miller and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark A. Milley, and realizing that District officials weren’t going to turn to the Justice Department for help instead, as the Army had wanted.”

In other words, the Army resisted demands from senior Trump administration officials including the Defense Secretary. Until they caved, at least.

Not only does this raise questions over people who tried to ignore the chain of command, but over the entire official narrative and ongoing rationale (or lack-thereof) for the fortifications around the Capitol.

Kansas Senate Majority Leader Arrested For Alleged DUI, Fleeing Officer

Kansas Senate Majority Leader Gene Suellentrop was arrested early Tuesday morning in Topeka for allegedly driving under the influence and fleeing a law enforcement officer.

Suellentrop, a Republican, was booked into the Shawnee County corrections department Tuesday morning at approximately 3:55 a.m., according to prison records. In addition to being charged with driving under the influence and fleeing a law enforcement officer, he was also arrested on suspicion of speeding and improperly crossing a divided highway.

Capitol Police said the arrest occurred on Interstate 70 near an exit north of downtown Topeka, adding that Suellentrop was driving in the wrong direction on the highway lane, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

Shawnee County prison records currently indicate he is being held without bond, though multiple local news outlets previously reported a $1,000 bond was listed.

Other details about the arrest, including whether Suellentrop had an attorney, were not immediately clear.

Both a spokesman for the state majority leader and state Senate President Ty Masterson confirmed the arrest Tuesday, but did not offer further comment or details, according to The Kansas City Star.

Suellentrop has served in the Kansas state legislature since 2009 and became the state’s Senate majority leader in December 2020, according to the AP. The 68-year-old state lawmaker previously served in the Kansas House of Representatives for seven years before being elected to the state Senate in 2016.

Joe Biden’s DHS Chief Says He Is Opening New Doors for Migrants

President Joe Biden’s border chief announced his plans Tuesday to expand economic migration into the United States, on top of the roughly one million people per year set by Congress.

“For years, the asylum system has been badly in need of reengineering,” said the March 16 statement by DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. He continued:

In addition to improving the process by which unaccompanied children are placed with family or sponsors, we will be issuing a new regulation shortly and taking other measures to implement the long-needed systemic reforms. We will shorten from years to months the time it takes to adjudicate an asylum claim while ensuring procedural safeguards and enhancing access to counsel.

Mayorkas is a lawyer and also a strong supporter of the unpopular claim the United States is a “Nation of Immigrants,” not of Americans. So he can argue his immigration expansion plans complies with the nation’s complex and loopholed immigration law, major parts of which have been written by agency regulators and pro-migration judges. Mayorkas wrote:

We are keeping our borders secure, enforcing our laws, and staying true to our values and principles …

I came to this country as an infant, brought by parents who understood the hope and promise of America. Today, young children are arriving at our border with that same hope. We can do this.

Mayorkas is trying to widen various small doors on the border. For example, he is helping many more migrants win claims for asylum by allowing them to seek asylum from routine poverty, political corruption, and street crime commonplace in many countries outside the United States.

Mayorkas’ side-door immigration policy has been widely criticized, including by CNN commentator Fareed Zakaria. On March 14, he said:

The truth is the asylum system is out of control. The concept of asylum dates to the years after World War Two, when the United States created a separate path to legal status for those who feared religious, ethnic or political persecution, a noble idea born in the shadow of America’s refusal to take in Jews in the 1930s.

It was used sparingly for decades, mostly applying to cases of extreme discrimination.

But the vast majority of people entering the southern border are really traditional migrants fleeing poverty and violence. This is a sad situation, but it does not justify giving them special consideration above others around the world who seek to come to the United States for similar reasons, but go through the normal process.

MI Court: Michigan Secretary of State’s Absentee Ballot Order Broke Law, Vindicating Trump Claim

A Michigan judge ruled last week Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (D) broke state law when she unilaterally issued rules related to absentee balloting, legitimizing a key claim made by the Trump campaign in its legal challenges to the 2020 election.

Benson issued several unilateral orders during the 2020 election including sending absentee ballot applications to all registered voters. She also issued “guidance” on how to evaluate absentee ballots, a move Michigan Court of Claims Chief Judge Christopher Murray held violated the state’s Administrative Procedures Act.

In the guidance, Benson said “slight similarities” in signatures on absentee ballots should lead a counter to decide “in favor of finding that the voter’s signature was valid.”

Murray ruled Benson violated the law “because the guidance issued by the Secretary of State on October 6, 2020, with respect to signature matching standards was issued in violation of the Administrative Procedures Act (APA).”

“I’m glad the court sees Secretary of State Benson’s attempts at lawmaking for what they are — clear violations of her authority,” Michigan state Rep. Matt Hall (R) said in a statement.

“If she wants to make changes like these, she needs to work with the Legislature or properly promulgate them through the laws we have on the books — in this case the Administrative Procedures Act,” he continued.

Murray’s ruling came after Allegan County Clerk Bob Genetski sued Benson and state Director of Elections Jonathan Brater over Benson’s order which Hall described as a “mandatory directive requiring local election officials to apply a presumption of validity to all signatures on absent voter ballots.”

According to the suit, Genetski argued “the presumption contained in the guidance issued by defendant Benson will allow invalid votes to be counted,” but Genetski did not allege “that this guidance caused him to accept a signature that he believed was invalid.”

The court’s opinion concluded:

…nowhere in this state’s election law has the Legislature indicated that signatures are to be presumed valid, nor did the Legislature require that signatures are to be accepted so long as there are any redeeming qualities in the application or return envelope as compared with the signature on file. Policy determinations like the one at issue — which places the thumb on the scale in favor of a signature’s validity — should be made pursuant to properly promulgated rules under the APA or by the Legislature.

Like other progressive secretaries of state, Benson put an aggressive emphasis on voting by absentee ballot in the name of safety amid the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

Over 3.1 million Michigan voters cast an absentee ballot out of a possible 7.7 million voters, WWMT News reported.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will seek “deeper trade links” with China, according to the new ‘Global Britain’ policy paper released on Tuesday.

The British government will look to increase security surrounding critical infrastructures like the national power grid, water supplies, and transport networks in order to open a path to increase economic ties with the communist country.

The 109-page review entitled ‘Global Britain in a Competitive Age’ is being dubbed as the biggest foreign policy adjustment for the UK since the Cold War, according to The Times.

The review acknowledges that the Chinese government represents the “biggest state-based threat” to Britain’s economic security as well as posing a “systemic challenge” to British values.

Yet, the policy paper goes on to say that the UK should still seek to court the regime in Beijing in order to gain “deeper trade links and more Chinese investment”. Investment from China has already seen at least seventeen independent schools being bought up by Chinese billionaires with ties to the governing Communist Party.

The British government will say that it will “not hesitate” to stand up for its values over human rights abuses being carried out by the CCP against the Uyghurs in Xinjiang or the vicious clampdown on the pro-democracy movement in the former British colony of Hong Kong.

However, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab — who has pledged to work with the communist regime on issues such as climate change — said that the UK should not adopt an “old, outdated Cold War mentality with China”.

Summarising the new British approach to China, the government’s positioning document said:

China’s growing international stature is by far the most significant geopolitical factor in the world today, with major implications for British values and interests and for the structure and shape of the international order. The fact that China is an authoritarian state, with different values to ours, presents challenges for the UK and our allies. China will contribute more to global growth than any other country in the next decade with benefits to the global economy. China and the UK both benefit from bilateral trade and investment, but China also presents the biggest state-based threat to the UK’s economic security.

We will require a robust diplomatic framework for this relationship that allows us to manage disagreements, defend our values and preserve space for cooperation where our interests align. China is an increasingly important partner in tackling global challenges like pandemic preparedness, biodiversity and climate change. We will continue to pursue a positive economic relationship, including deeper trade links and more Chinese investment in the UK. At the same time, we will increase protection of our CNI, institutions and sensitive technology, and strengthen the resilience of our critical supply chains, so that we can engage with confidence. We will not hesitate to stand up for our values and our interests where they are threatened, or when China acts in breach of existing agreements. The UK has responded to China’s actions in Hong Kong by creating a new immigration route for British Nationals (Overseas) and their eligible family members and dependents, and to China’s human rights violations in Xinjiang through measures to ensure that British organisations are neither complicit in nor profiting from them.

In response to the paper, the founder and chairman of Hong Kong Watch, Benedict Rogers told Breitbart London: “To talk of deepening trade links at this time is extraordinary. We should be diversifying our trading relationships and supply chains around the world, recalibrating our policy towards China and prioritising our values and security against a regime that has proven time and again that its word cannot be trusted.”

Now that the implications of the Harris/Biden administration are setting in, my Democrat friends (yes, I do have a few) are becoming very embarrassed. They bought into the propaganda that all the turmoil in Washington was created by the erratic and immoral behavior of Donald Trump. Their vote for Harris/Biden was a vote to return to normal. They didn’t realize that the Democrats weren’t offering a return to normal, they were offering the establishment of a “new normal.”

The “new normal” includes restricted energy exploration and cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline. This has caused a loss of well-paying union jobs, damaged relations with Canada, and triggered skyrocketing gasoline prices. It also threatens to return us to dependence on the most unstable region in the world. To those who would like us to leave the Middle East to resolve its own problems – we can’t now.

We’ve implemented more “humane” immigration policies, creating a flood of illegal immigrants across the border – wearing “Biden” t-shirts. Our humane policy has given us men, women, and children sacrificing their lives pursuing the dream promised them by the Democrats. Thankfully, we’re no longer keeping illegal immigrant children in cages. Now we’re keeping them in Conex boxes. I guess we can feel good about that.

Those arriving illegal immigrants are putting more pressure on a struggling job market, decimated by COVID lockdowns. Rather than help struggling small businesses, the Democrats seek to impose more economic distress with a $15-per-hour minimum wage. As small businesses close their doors, the dreams of their owners are dashed, and entry level job opportunities disappear forever.

Since lunch-bucket Joe’s inauguration, the government has moved beyond its charter to ensure the rights, security, and safety of the citizens. Now it’s engaged in social engineering. Transsexuals will now be welcomed into the military. Given that these folks require ongoing hormone therapy, a few minor changes to the DoD logistics infrastructure will be needed. It’s a small price to pay to check our “wokeness” box. Should any of our transsexual soldiers be captured, I’m sure our enemies will continue their therapy. They need their “wokeness” boxes checked too.

President Asterisk has also signed an executive order ensuring that transgender people may use whatever facilities they prefer. We’ll need to be on the alert for gender-fluid pedophiles seeking to spend quality time in bathrooms with young girls. But, that’s a very small societal cost to show the necessary respect to a perfectly normal woman-with-a-penis, who wishes to shower with women-with-vaginas at the gym.

The Democrats have also arranged to reward blue states for disastrous fiscal decisions. It seems that those states which imposed the most severe COVID lockdowns (New York, California, Michigan, and etc.) have suffered significant loss of tax revenue. Who could have seen that coming? The most recent COVID relief bill includes a $350B bailout for those states and municipalities which suffered tax loses during the lockdown. The citizens from the red states who stayed on the job are going to bail out the blue states that took the year off. San Fran Nan and Chucky Schumer owe a great big “thank you” to all the farmers, merchants, tradesmen, and truckers who have agreed to help them out. I’m sure they’ll respond with, “You’re welcome. It was the neighborly thing to do.”

The “new normal” also includes a permanent military presence in Washington D.C. You can rest assured that our representatives are doing the “people’s work” when they need a contingent of heavily armed soldiers to protect them from the people. My friends who voted Democrat unwittingly facilitated the transformation of Washington D.C. into Pyongyang, North Korea.

Last year, the World Economic Forum teamed up with the Russian government and global banks to run a high-profile cyberattack simulation that targeted the financial industry, an actual event that would pave the way for a “reset” of the global economy. The simulation, named Cyber Polygon, may have been more than a typical planning exercise and bears similarities to the WEF-sponsored pandemic simulation Event 201 that briefly preceded the COVID-19 crisis.

On Wednesday, the World Economic Forum (WEF), along with Russia’s Sberbank and its cybersecurity subsidiary BI.ZONE announced that a new global cyberattack simulation would take place this coming July to instruct participants in “developing secure ecosystems” by simulating a supply-chain cyberattack similar to the recent SolarWinds hack that would “assess the cyber resilience” of the exercise’s participants. On the newly updated event website, the simulation, called Cyber Polygon 2021, ominously warns that, given the digitalization trends largely spurred by the COVID-19 crisis, “a single vulnerable link is enough to bring down the entire system, just like the domino effect,” adding that “a secure approach to digital development today will determine the future of humanity for decades to come.”

The exercise comes several months after the WEF, the “international organization for public-private cooperation” that counts the world’s richest elite among its members, formally announced its movement for a Great Reset, which would involve the coordinated transition to a Fourth Industrial Revolution global economy in which human workers become increasingly irrelevant. This revolution, including its biggest proponent, WEF founder Klaus Schwab, has previously presented a major problem for WEF members and member organizations in terms of what will happen to the masses of people left unemployed by the increasing automation and digitalization in the workplace.

New economic systems that are digitally based and either partnered with or run by central banks are a key part of the WEF’s Great Reset, and such systems would be part of the answer to controlling the masses of the recently unemployed. As others have noted, these digital monopolies, not just financial services, would allow those who control them to “turn off” a person’s money and access to services if that individual does not comply with certain laws, mandates and regulations.

The WEF has been actively promoting and creating such systems and has most recently taken to calling its preferred model “stakeholder capitalism.” Though advertised as a more “inclusive” form of capitalism, stakeholder capitalism would essentially fuse the public and private sectors, creating a system much more like Mussolini’s corporatist style of fascism than anything else.

How Did Multiple Threat Groups Know About Exchange Patches Before Release?

Following CISA's weekend updates on continuing Exchange server hacks, Microsoft is investigating the significant uptick in exploits just days before patches were released.

WASHINGTON: How did multiple threat actors seemingly know about planned security patches for vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange software before the company released them? Microsoft said it is investigating.

Meanwhile, a weekend CISA update added malware analysis reports for seven of the many web shells that threat actors are using in a multi-step hack of Exchange servers. The four zero days provide threat actors initial access to servers, and web shells enable threat actors to gain persistent access to and remote control over servers, including remote code execution.

The update included information on recently discovered malware attacks against vulnerable Exchange servers.

Unusual Circumstances Around Exchange Zero-Day Patches

Microsoft said it is now investigating how threat actors appear to have found out about the security patches for four zero-day vulnerabilities in Exchange servers before the company publicly disclosed the zero days and released out-of-band patches. The four zero days are being referred to collectively as ProxyLogon.

The investigation arose, in part, after security research revealed two unusual circumstances around the hacking campaign: The first, uncovered last week by security company ESET, is how threat actors stepped up exploits of ProxyLogon just prior to Microsoft’s announcement. The second is what appears to be potentially coordinated targeting of ProxyLogon by multiple threat actor groups.

Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse is demanding the FBI account for the bureau's background investigation into Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh that Whitehouse ridiculed as 'fake.'

Whitehouse revisited the charged 2018 issue in a letter to new Attorney General Merrick Garland, where he blasted the FBI for failing to follow its own guidelines for how to conduct probes and sort through tips.

With accusations flying against Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings – including by Christine Blasey Ford who accused him of assaulting her at a party when they were both in high school decades ago – senators delayed a vote for a supplemental investigation.

What happened next did not please Whitehouse. It 'appears to have been a politically-constrained and perhaps fake FBI investigation into alleged misconduct by now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh,' he wrote.

He noted that Kavanaugh disputed her testimony – he angrily denied it in his confirmation hearing – so there were 'questions of fact' to resolve.

The FBI never interviewed Blasey Ford, nor did it interview Kavanaugh.

'Max Stier, the widely respected president of the Partnership for Public Service, and a college classmate of Mr. Kavanaugh, offered specific corroborating evidence, but the FBI refused to interview Mr. Stier,' he wrote.

As people brought forward information, 'the FBI had assigned no person to accept or gather evidence,' Whitehouse wrote.

'In addition to showing some cursory efforts to corroborate Dr. Ford’s hearing testimony, our brief review showed that a stack of information had indeed flowed in through the “tip line,” he added.

Where pension debt is a looming danger to taxpayers, via Texas Public Policy Foundation

Both private and public pensions have been having major funding issues and struggling to get a good ROI for a number of years.

So it’s no surprise that any sort of economic relief package presented to Congress would include funds for pensions. Especially since a “bailout” culture seems to have taken root in America.

The recent $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill approved by the House is no exception to this “bailout culture.”

The New York Times reported that it contains $86 billion for struggling pensions:

The $86 billion is a taxpayer bailout for about 185 union pension plans that are so close to collapse that without the rescue, more than a million retired truck drivers, retail clerks, builders and others could be forced to forgo retirement income.

The article continued: “The trend predated the pandemic and is a result of fading unions, serial bankruptcies and the misplaced hope that investment income would foot most of the bill so that employers and workers wouldn’t have to.”

Leaving aside the fact that “hope” is shaky ground to base any economic decision on, this appears as another signal that pensions are going the way of the dodo bird.

The Setup

Almost one year ago, former President Trump declared a national emergency and the White House announced a 15-day plan to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Governments around the world either preceded the U.S. or soon followed with similar pronouncements. The upsurge in totalitarianism since these edicts were installed is mind-boggling.

Staying home, social distancing, and hand washing were the first steps in the slippery slope towards medical martial law. Then came the lockdowns and mandatory face mask policies. These were soon followed by pressure to take a COVID-19 test, contact tracing, and quarantines. Next were vaccines that were rushed to production, given only “emergency use authorization” by the FDA and still deemed experimental, having completely skipped long-term safety studies. Now, the threat of vaccine passports/certificates represents the next step towards complete tyranny and subjugation of the people.

All of these draconian measures have served as social engineering tools to get people used to having “experts” and government officials tell them what to do. In fact, you could argue that all of humanity (outside those in authority) has been slowly tortured over the past year. With staggering numbers of suicides and rising rates of substance abuse, many decided to just check out. The remaining masses have been subjected to classical conditioning like Pavlov’s dogs. During this “plandemic”, most people have been retrained to depend on authorities to tell them when they can go to work, visit loved ones, travel, go to church, hug someone or even shake their hand.

The path to totalitarian control always starts with something simple and seemingly reasonable. It’s also usually accompanied by a promise of peace and safety in exchange for surrendering one’s rights.

There is a sickness going around that’s much worse than any coronavirus. It’s called “Stockholm Syndrome” and it infects those who are too ignorant, trusting, and fearful to question those in authority and hold them accountable. Infected people lap up every word people like Dr. Anthony Fauci say, no matter how many times he’s contradicted himself or even been caught lying. They fully agree with taking a vaccine rolled out at warp speed with completely new technology that’s never before been tested on human beings. They yell at people in stores who refuse to wear face masks. They call anyone with facts contradicting the mainstream narrative a conspiracy theorist. They cheer when people who disagree with them get censored, deplatformed, and even lose their jobs. They don’t balk when authorities extend or issue new state of emergency rules restricting their freedom. They don’t even get angry when hypocritical officials are caught violating their own rules. But they are quick to attack anyone challenging their beloved rulers and attempting to restore liberty such as when Texas Governor Greg Abbott reopened the state and lifted mask mandates (well, sort of).

At Atlantic Council, Koch-Funded Effort to Marginalize Human Rights Causes Uproar

Battle likely to spread across Washington as aggressive Koch effort has seeded programs at numerous think tanks

The drama that unfolded at the Atlantic Council last week as nearly two dozen scholars wrote to dissociate themselves from the work of their colleagues is likely to be the opening skirmish in a broader war over the funding for American foreign policy research playing out in academia and in some of Washington, D.C.'s most influential think tanks.

The source of the drama was an analysis published earlier this month by Emma Ashford and Mathew Burrows, who argued that putting human rights at the center of the U.S.-Russia relationship undermines American interests. The piece was published under the aegis of a new national security strategy center funded by the Charles Koch Institute, which has advocated for an isolationist foreign policy—or, as the Kochs and the scholars they fund are now terming it, "a grand strategy of restraint"—with a long tradition in Republican politics from the America First Committee of the 1940s to the Buchananites of the 1980s and '90s.

Intellectual disagreement is standard fare in both worlds. What happened at the Atlantic Council, as more than two dozen scholars issued a terse note dissociating themselves from the work of their colleagues, points to a much deeper conflict. A Politico report published Thursday offered a window into the brouhaha, with several Atlantic Council fellows alleging that the Koch money was corrupting the scholarship or, as one anonymous expert put it: "The Koch industry operates as a Trojan horse operation trying to destroy good institutions and they have pretty much the same views as the Russians."

Simmering beneath the surface, according to interviews with a dozen experts across a half-dozen D.C. think tanks, including the Atlantic Council, is a debate that has roiled American think tanks over the past decade: how these institutions are funded and what, exactly, the donors who underwrite them are getting for their money.

The controversial view that caused last week's kerfuffle—that the United States should look the other way on the human rights violations of its adversaries—is espoused by the scholars who sit atop virtually every Koch-funded program, the result of an aggressive and explicit push to undermine what remains of the country's foreign policy consensus and replace it with a different one.

Over the past several years, Charles Koch Institute vice president William Ruger, President Donald Trump's failed nominee to be ambassador to Afghanistan, has approached virtually every major think tank in the city offering to fund proponents of "restraint," according to a dozen think-tank sources familiar with the situation.

One think-tank expert on the receiving end of a Koch pitch described it this way: "They said to us, ‘The debate is not diverse, the restrainers are not respected, and … our wisdom is ignored.'"

Ruger did not respond to a request for comment, though he himself has written—in an essay in the Koch-funded National Interest—to endorse "restraint," arguing, "Any such perestroika, or new thinking, will be resisted among our regnant elites."

Judicial Watch: Federal Court Slams Potentially Illicit Sales of Body Parts of Aborted Fetuses – Orders Release of Additional Information on Organ Purchases

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch announced today that a federal court ordered the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to release additional information about its purchases of organs harvested from aborted human fetuses. The court also found “there is reason to question” whether the transactions violate federal law barring the sale of fetal organs. Documents previously uncovered in this lawsuit show that the federal government demanded the purchased fetal organs be “fresh and never frozen.”

Both the FDA and NIH purchased the organs from California-based Advanced Biosciences Resources (ABR) to create “humanized mice” for use in HIV research. ABR partners with Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers to dismember fetuses and sell their parts for research. The decision notes that ABR:

sold second-trimester livers and thymi for hundreds of dollars apiece. The same for brains, eyes, and lungs. After tacking on fees for services like shipping and cleaning, ABR could collect over $2,000 on a single fetus it purchased from Planned Parenthood for $60. The federal government participated in this potentially illicit trade for years.

The court raised concern about whether these transactions are legal:

Happily for the Government (and ABR), this means that the Court need not reach Judicial Watch’s argument that the Government cannot withhold the information at issue because ABR engaged in criminal conduct. Recall that it is illegal to transfer “any human fetal tissue for valuable consideration. 42 U.S.C. § 289g-2(a). Judicial Watch contends that the invoices disclosed here show that the Government paid “valuable consideration” to ABR and so the Government cannot keep the withheld information confidential.

The court found it “dubious” that a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) exception invoked by the government could be used to “shield illegal business practices under the guise of ‘confidential business information’” and declared that “[t]here is reason to question the lawfulness of the transaction between the Government and ABR.”

Blue states move to tax PPP loans, collect millions from unsuspecting small businesses

Alfredo Ortiz, head of the Job Creators Network, says though the IRS isn't collecting taxes on the loans, some states are trying.

Late last year, a thorn emerged in the side of the historically successful Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), which provided $525 billion in forgivable loans to more than 5 million American small businesses hurt by the pandemic. Suddenly, business owners feared facing a tax consequence for the aid they received.

Though the PPP funds themselves were nontaxable, the IRS was attempting to tax the use of the funds on business expenses that cannot be deducted from tax returns. A coalition of small businesses and trade associations promptly wrote Congress to explain that the tax burden the IRS was attempting to levy against American small businesses would make it cheaper for some businesses to fire employees and repay their PPP loans than face the tax consequences.

Additionally, the coalition argued the roughly $120 billion in PPP taxes that the IRS was attempting to collect would be far better served circulating on Main Street, generating revenue and helping along the American economic recovery.

In December, Congress yielded to the calls of small businesses and added a provision in the second stimulus package that provides a tax break on PPP funds for small business owners. But now, some states are re-introducing the issue, opting not to conform to the federal tax code guidelines and instead moving to unexpectedly tax PPP recipients.

Alfredo Ortiz, the President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, a group that advocates for the 30 million in American small businesses, said that the states attempting to tax small business’ PPP loans are "basically handing drowning men anchors."

"We’re trying to ring the alarms on this, because it’s a huge issue," Ortiz told Just the News. "The reality is that our small business owners don’t have that cash laying around. They used it for what they were asked to use, and told to use it, for," meaning, maintaining payrolls during the lowest point of the pandemic last year. Ortiz says that the state taxes will be "completely unexpected expenses to most small business owners" and could send many more to insolvency or closure.

"We’re hearing this happen left and right in New York City. A lot of restauranteurs and restaurant owners are just closing up shop and saying 'this is ridiculous, we don’t want any part of it,'" said Ortiz. Many of those owners are moving to places like Florida, where business has been open at workable capacity for months now, and the tax base is generally much more favorable.
