Back two weeks ago on May 28, 2020, The Gateway Pundit reported — Fired Officer Derek Chauvin and George Floyd worked at the same south Minneapolis club as security guards up to the end of last year.

On Monday My 25th, Police Officer Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd during an arrest for passing a bad $20 dollar bill.

KTSP later reported that the two men both worked security at the El Nuevo Rodeo Club on Lake Street in Minneapolis.

On Tuesday CBS News reported that according to a former nightclub coworker the two men “bumped heads” at the nightclub.

The killing “might be personal.”

Councilmember Uses Key to Allow Protesters and Rioters Into Seattle City Hall

Protesters and rioters have been allowed into Seattle’s City Hall after Councilwoman Kshama Sawant used her key to unlock the building and allow them inside

Sawant has been calling on Mayor Jenny Durkan to resign over “violence and brutality” by police in the city’s response to the “overwhelmingly peaceful” riots they have seen in response to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Protesters poured into the building chanting for the mayor’s removal and were met with a speaker from the Socialist Alternative party.

Sawant herself also spoke to the mob, calling her colleagues “sellouts” and “corporate politicians.”

In a press release last week, Sawant said that the mayor “has repeatedly unleashed Seattle police to use ever-escalating violence against ordinary people protesting the police murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and so many other black and brown people.”

“The police have inflicted tear gas, mace, rubber bullets, flash-bang grenades, curfews, arrests and other repressive tactics on Seattle activists and residents — including children — in an attempt to bully and silence the protest movement,” she added.

In a shocking video from Seattle’s riots last week, a man was seen attempting to take an AR-15 from a police vehicle.

There have been multiple injuries to both rioters and police in the city over the last couple of weeks.

After a decade of constant lamentation by stock market pundits that the world's most artificial "bull market", which after March 23 and "Unlimited QE" everyone finally admits was entirely the work of the Federal Reserve, did not have retail participation and so wasn't a real bull market, well - we give you Robin Hood.

In the span of just a few weeks, the free retail platform has mutated from a trading venue nobody had heard of to the platform which hosts some of the world's "best" traders. By which of course we mean millions of bored Millennials dumping their stimulus check into the stock market and hoping for a 100-bagger (and in many cases getting just that). But that's not meant to slight the retail daytraders: after all, where else can hundreds of thousands of retail investors swarm bankrupt companies such as Hertz, Chesapeake and Whiting Petroleum, and send their absolutely worthless in any rational financial context stock price soaring, as they did in the past week.

As we summarized it this morning, "you know the euphoria gripping stock markets is off the charts when retail investors have now taken over the market, as we first posted three weeks ago in, "How Retail Investors Took Over The Stock Market" and as Bloomberg repeated today with "Everywhere You Look Under Surging Stocks Is Fervid Retail Buying." And while there is nothing wrong with a little healthy speculation in a market in which the Fed has eliminated most - if not all - risk, when the frenzied daytrading mob sends the stock of bankrupt Hertz 10x higher on massive volume, pushing its market cap to just shy of $1 billion, it's becoming a problem for marketplace integrity. After all, everyone remembers the retail infatuation with cryptos in late 2017/early 2018 which pushed bitcoin to $20K only to see the crypto plunging, resulting in massive losses for retail investors."

We then asked if Powell really wants to risk turning off another generation of retail investors from stocks when the latest melting-up asset bubble - which is far greater than either the dot com or the housing bubble - bursts with catastrophic consequences for middle class net worth?

We weren't the only ones: SMBC Nikko analyst Masao Muraki wrote in a note overnight that "soaring risk asset prices (ie imbalances) have reached a point where the Fed may be forced into some kind of action."

While not many, there are also others who likewise were wondering if it is truly the Fed's intention to reflate a massive bubble which bursts and leaves millions of retail momentum chasers holding the bag, resulting in another generation of Americans who will never come close to the stock market again.

I have come to the conclusion that collectively Americans are mentally and emotionally stupid. On any given day there is endless evidence that this is the case.

Just a few selections from news of the last couple of days should suffice to establish the point.

Instead of reforming police training as a rational response to George Floyd’s death from an aggressive restraint technique, the Minneapolis city council voted to disband the Minneapolis police. Council woman Lisa Bender responded to a citizen’s question what she is supposed to do if she faces a threat in her home and there are no police to call:

“Yes, I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors. And I know — and myself, too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege.”

In other words, the Minneapolis citizen’s concern is not legitimate and merely reflects her privileged assumption that she is entitled to protection by police. The valid concern is to protect blacks from the police by disbanding the police.

Kristina Roth of Amnesty International wrote to me in a fundraiser that “Police must stop killing black people.” What about white people, Kristina? White lives matter, too. The police shoot to death far more white people every year than black people. Shouldn’t Kristina be demanding that “police must stop killing people?” Why does Kristina blame racism instead of police training? Kristina needs to read and reflect upon this.

The top editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer had to resign because of the headline on a reporter’s article. The article was very sympathic to the black rioters but didn’t quite see the point of blacks destroying historic buildings in Philadelphia because of what happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis. The editor was done in by the article’s headline: “Buildings Matter, Too.” This incensed the woke morons, and despite his groveling apology the editor was removed . So much for “white privilege.” White newspaper editors cannot even exercise freedom of speech in the choice of headlines.

Not even editors at the New York Times, which grovels at the feet of blacks and self-righteous woke, can survive their exercise of freedom of the press. The opinion editor and his deputy had to resign for publishing Senator Tom Cotton’s call to deploy the military to protect people and property from the rioters and looters. I am confident that the NY Times published Sen. Cotton’s article with the intention of damning Cotton for not being more sympathetic to black looters. But the woke creatures and the NY Times publisher A.G.Sulzberger removed the editors because of “the pain they inflicted.”

Navy Moves to Ban Confederate Flags on Bases, Ships and Public Spaces

The Navy's top admiral is following the Marine Corps' lead in banning the Confederate battle flag from all public spaces and work areas.

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday has directed his staff to begin crafting an order that would prohibit the Confederate battle flag in many areas on bases, ships, aircraft and submarines.

"The order is meant to ensure unit cohesion, preserve good order and discipline, and uphold the Navy's core values of honor, courage and commitment," said Cmdr. Nate Christensen, Gilday's spokesman.

The news comes days after the Marine Corps made official its policy to prohibit flags, T-shirts, mugs and other items that feature the Confederate flag. Commanders are authorized to conduct inspections in some areas including schoolhouses, open-bay barracks and bathrooms for the paraphernalia.

Statues and other displays honoring Confederate leaders have been coming down across the country as protests continue after the death of George Floyd, a black man who died last month while in police custody. Demonstrators have flooded cities calling for an end to racism and police brutality.

Army officials announced on Monday that top leaders are open to changing long-standing names of installations that honor Confederate leaders. Retired Army Gen. David Petraeus in a Tuesday op-ed for The Atlantic said the move is overdue.

"The irony of training at bases named for those who took up arms against the United States, and for the right to enslave others, is inescapable to anyone paying attention," Petraeus wrote. "Now, belatedly, is the moment for us to pay such attention."

The Navy has not indicated when an official order banning Confederate items will be complete. Marine Corps Commandant Gen. David Berger announced his plans for a policy banning the flag in February, nearly four months before the policy was made official.

Berger told Military.com in March that he chose to move ahead with the ban because anything that divides Marines is not good.

"We have to think as a unit and how to build a team, a cohesive team," Berger said.

Gilday in a video message to sailors last week challenged them to listen to black Americans in and out of uniform that "are in deep pain right now."

"We can't be under any illusions about the fact that racism is alive and well in our country," he said. "And I can't be under any illusions that we don't have it in our Navy."

93-Year-Old Montana Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Children

GREAT FALLS — A Poplar man who admitted sexually abusing a child was sentenced to four years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release, U. S. Attorney Kurt Alme said.

Lloyd Wallace Youpee, 93, pleaded guilty in January to abusive sexual contact.

The prosecution said in court documents that the sexual contact occurred on or about February 2018 to December 2018 in Poplar on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. Youpee had sexual contact with the victim, who was under the age of 12. Youpee initially denied touching the victim but then admitted to the sexual assault. During an interview with investigators, Youpee indicated that he did not want kids to be around him while he is drinking. He told investigators that he knows how he is, clarifying that he likes sex.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Cassady Adams prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the FBI and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice.

Trump to restart in-person fundraising in Dallas Thursday amid tight safety measures

When President Trump arrives at a private Dallas home on Thursday for a multimillion-dollar dinner, it will mark the first “in-person” fundraising event since the coronavirus pandemic began three months ago. Twenty-five couples, each paying $580,600 for a meal and photo, will have been tested for COVID-19 and screened for elevated temperatures. Organizers said the site would be professionally sanitized before the event and that the White House Medical Unit and U.S. Secret Service would screen attendees. A Republican National Committee official said: “Trump Victory’s top priority is ensuring the safety of President Trump and our attendees, and that includes testing all attendees as well as several other safety measures that align with CDC’s guidance.” The small scale is all part of an effort to ensure the safety of the president and his guests as part of a blueprint for returning to a full campaign schedule.

Trump hasn’t held a campaign rally since Feb. 28 in Charleston, South Carolina. But he is due to hold another fundraising event at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, this weekend, and the campaign says it plans to relaunch its rallies within two weeks. The president has let it be known that he is itching to get back to the rallies that helped define his 2016 victory. For now, he will have to be content with a fundraising dinner. The money will go to Trump Victory, a joint fundraising committee of the Trump campaign, the Republican National Committee, and state parties. Choosing Texas is no accident, according to Austin-based Republican strategist Brendan Steinhauser, who said there was growing concern about poor poll numbers. “This is a place where Republicans always come to raise money, but also he’s looking at the polls, he’s hearing about internal polling,” he said. “And they’re all saying the same thing: The president is in trouble politically in Texas, it’s closer than it should be, and he needs to come down and rally the base, shore up the troops, and remind people why they voted for him.” The president has been a frequent visitor to the state, and Dallas is also in the running to host part of the Republican National Convention this summer.

A Quinnipiac University poll published last week gave Trump a 1-point advantage over presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden in a state that has voted for a Republican president since 1980. The visit to Dallas comes amid a string of polls suggesting he faces a tough race to hold Texas in November. State Republican figures have long warned that demographic shifts, with a growing and youthful Hispanic population, could spell trouble in the years ahead, but they now add that the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic adds an extra challenge. As well as the Quinnipiac poll, a survey published by Democratic polling outfit Public Policy Polling last week, which put Trump and Biden neck and neck, with each winning the support of 48% of voters polled.

The favorable numbers prompted Biden to declare Texas a battleground state. And Texas Democratic Party Executive Director Manny Garcia said: “This poll shows in the starkest terms yet that Texas is neck and neck and within grasp for Joe Biden and the Democratic ticket in November." “Poll after poll shows that Texans increasingly trust Democrats to lead.” Texas has been a frequent destination for the president during the past 18 months, offering a welcoming venue for escaping troubles in Washington. Last year, the president held a fundraising swing through Houston and San Antonio in April, visited El Paso in the wake of a deadly shooting in August, joined Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a rally in Houston in September, and held his own arena event in Dallas in October. This year started much the same way, with a January speech to farmers in Austin.

The new law in Spain for the “new normality” has been approved. Spain is in full partnership with Bill Gates. They’ve hammered out some of the final details of the rules. Spain will no longer be a destination for tourists. They are clearly cutting off 12% of GDP just to start.

So, masks are obligatory in all closed spaces (work, office, schools, transport, shops, etc… even at home when you receive friends/family who are not living with you in the same household – LOL), in cars when there is more than one person inside, and also outside on the streets and parks etc when one cannot maintain at all times a distance of at least 1.5 meters from other people. So, those living in rural areas or in small villages can, I suppose, go out without a mask. Tough luck in the crowded cities. The fine is 100 euro for not wearing a mask.

Also, everywhere one must keep 1.5 m “social distance”.

And now the best: these rules are in vigor UNTIL THERE IS A VACCINE. So, masks (and “social distancing”) forever in Spain.

On top of this, all transport companies offering transport between cities and provinces (i.e. buses, trains, planes, ships, etc) will have to get the name and contact of the passengers and give the records to the government when requested. So, it will be impossible to even travel between various parts of the country without the govt knowing exactly where you went, how long, etc. We were infinitely more free in communism in Central Europe than this!....

Here's an update on the Broadcastify outage from earlier this evening.

Our data center provider where a lot of our master and relay servers are hosted is experiencing connectivity problems - which is causing close to a systemwide outage on Broadcastify right now.

I'm going to see how long it takes for recovery before putting plans in action to fail over to other provides. Stay tuned for updates here.

Thanks for your patience and sorry for the problems.

FINAL UPDATE 10:38 PM CT: Root cause of the outage was networking configuration problems affecting IBM Cloud globally. Our audio servers (8 of them) are hosted on IBM Cloud’s Softlayer bare metal servers. We failed everything over to Amazon Web services and are currently running on that backup environment. Our plan is to move everything back to the production environment on Softlayer tomorrow morning around 7:00 AM CT. Thanks for everyone’s patience... our disaster recovery plan was tested and worked nicely.

UPDATE 8:55 PM CT: Coverage has returned to 94% of pre-outage feeds online. We're operating completely on backup systems. Later this week, presumably in the early morning hours, we will fail back over to the primary provider and set of servers. Next update will be what we know about the outage. Stay tuned.

UPDATE 8:12 PM CT: If you are feed provider, and your feed has not come back online, simply reboot your computer and start your broadcast client software back up. That should bring the feed back online

UPDATE 8:01 PM CT: Brining the archive servers back online now. 6,557 out of 7025 feeds are back online, and listeners are recovering quickly.

UPDATE 7:53 PM CT: About 90% of all the feeds are back online and broadcasting. All of the archive servers that record all the feeds are currently down and not capturing feeds right now but we plan on bringing those back up shortly.

UPDATE 7:09 PM CT: We have failed over all servers to a new provider and we're coming back up!

UPDATE 6:47 PM CT: We are failing over to a new provider. We will bring up the master servers first and then the relay servers. Updates to follow...

UPDATE 6:16 PM CT: We are in the dark right now with IBM (Softlayer) - their status pages are also down. We are beginning to unpack our contingency guidebook to fail over the complete audio system to another provider. ;) We'll wait for now to determine if we get a status before embarking upon that journey.

UPDATE 6:06 PM CT: This is a major outage at the data center affecting multiple customers. We have trouble tickets opened with Softlayer and are awaiting a response. Currently all feeds are down since all connectivity to the Dallas softlayer data center has been lost. Still no ETA.

UPDATE 5:40 PM CT: I have no ETA at this time - we are investigating the cause. It is a networking issue affecting multiple softlayer customers in their Dallas data center.
