Facebook Helps Launch New Tech Industry Lobbying Group To Battle Anti-Monopoly Push

After Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey got smacked around (digitally speaking) during this week's Senate hearing, perhaps the CEOs feel that having dozens of tech industry stalwarts serving as their 'inside man' in different parts of the incipient Biden administration (which, to be sure still only exists on paper) simply isn't enough. As the DoJ, in partnership with state AGs and the FCC, launches a wide-ranging anti-monopoly campaign against America's tech titans, Facebook is reportedly leading a new effort to beef up the industry's lobbying firepower inside the beltway.

According to the Washington Post, the new pro-tech political advocacy organization will work to convince lawmakers that Silicon Valley is a key component of America's economic engine, as well as a valuable bastion of free speech, and thus should not be trifled with.

In the model of Uber and Lyft's victory over California progressives (and working people) in the battle to pass Prop 22, which exempts the companies from classifying drivers as employees, the new group, called "American Edge", will use its generous funding to run ad campaigns and direct political spending to combat regulators trying to crack down on the tech industry.

All while Facebook and its peers continue to claim they're willing and able to collaborate with lawmakers on sensible regulations.

"American Edge's" board is slated to include several heavy hitters, from big-time lobbyists to former politicians, including Susana Martinez, former Republican governor of New Mexico, and former Democratic congressman from Pennsylvania Chris Carney, among others, according to reports.

When approached by WaPo, FB told the reporters that it's "working with a diverse group of stakeholders to build support for the industry but didn’t name other backers Amazon didn’t respond to the newspaper’s request for comment."

Since the election of President Trump led to the flood of scrutiny of big tech firms a few years back, Facebook has significantly scaled up its lobbying effort in Washington, spending more than $16.7 million last year to influence lawmakers and regulators, according to public records.

During the first three months of 2020, Facebook shelled out an additional $5.2 million, making it the 7h-biggest spender on lobbying across the entire US, all industries included.

Of course, Facebook has something of a fraught history when it comes to influencing public affairs. The company a few years back hired a GOP-linked PR firm called Definers Public Affairs that waged a "guerilla" campaign to deflect blame for Facebook's many scandals by bashing critics by linking them to Jewish billionaire George Soros. The company was roundly criticized for resorting to "antisemitic" tactics reminiscent of "far-right" conspiracy theorists.

Unlike the Definers fiasco, Facebook is putting 'American Edge' out front, arguing that any major restrictions against American tech firms could ultimately make Chinese firms more competitive.

However, in China, Beijing is launching an anti-monopoly campaign against its tech giants as well.

Pennsylvania Republicans File Emergency Request To Block Vote Certification

Republicans in Pennsylvania filed an emergency request in state court on Sunday seeking to block the certification of the state's election results in favor of Joe Biden.

The deadline for counties to certify the state is later Monday, after which Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar will be able to certify the entire state, according to Bloomberg.

The filing by the Republicans comes after a federal judge tossed a lawsuit by the Trump campaign seeking to block certification of the results in PA.

Pennsylvania Republican Sen. Pat Toomey, who is retiring from politics in 2022, has called on Trump to accept the results of the election, which have Biden ahead by over 81,000 votes in the state.

"President Trump has exhausted all plausible legal options to challenge the result of the presidential race in Pennsylvania," said Toomey in a Saturday statement following the decision by Judge Matthew Brann to dismiss the Trump Campaign's lawsuit.

Republican Chris Christie - who coached Trump for his 'shout at Biden' performance in the first debate, has also called on Trump to concede. "If you have got the evidence of fraud, present it," Christie told ABC on Sunday. "Quite frankly, the conduct of the president's legal team has been a national embarrassment."

The Trump campaign, meanwhile, is forging ahead with appeals as they make their way to the US Supreme Court.

The late-Sunday filing with the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia was an expected development, with Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani declaring in a Saturday statement: "We hope that the Third Circuit will be as gracious as Judge Brann in deciding our appeal one way or the other as expeditiously as possible," adding "This is another case that appears to be moving quickly to the United States Supreme Court."

House Democrat Seeks Disbarment of Giuliani and 22 Trump Election Lawyers

New Jersey Democrat Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. filed bar complaints against lead Trump campaign elections attorney Rudy Giuliani and twenty-two other Trump campaign lawyers in several states where President Trump is contesting the results of the November 3 presidential election. Pascrell is calling for the disbarment of the attorneys for filing cases on behalf of Trump to “overturn the election and demolish democracy” in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, New York and Pennsylvania. The other attorneys targeted in addition to Giuliani are local attorneys in the respective states. Giuliani is a former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and former two-term mayor of New York City.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) today filed letters with the legal bar authorities in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, New York, and Pennsylvania, seeking the disbarment of Rudolph Giuliani and 22 other lawyers representing Donald Trump in his attempts to overturn the election and demolish democracy. “We live together in extraordinary and increasingly dangerous national circumstances. Please verify the info. I’m going from memory of a 5 + year old dig. I found Jamestown foundation during a deep dive into the Dagastani boxer. The Jamestown Foundation jumped out at me because why would anything with that name be operating in or around Dagestan. Weird. Follow that thread. "You Are Such A Dick" - New Jersey Governor Heckled While Enjoying Mask-Free Meal With Family

New Jersey Gov Phil Murphy has become the latest top-ranking Democratic leader to be confronted by angry proles while simply trying to enjoy a meal at a restaurant with his family.

Popular Twitter account Breaking 911 has posted videos showing the New Jersey governor eating outside mask-less.

Two women started filming when the stumbled upon Governor Murphy eating dinner at a restaurant with his family.

"Oh my god Murphy you are such a dick" one woman shouted. As the governor looked over, his son spoke up and started taunting the women. That elicited a foul-mouthed tirade from one of the hecklers. "How you doing? How you doing? You having fun with your family in the meantime? You’re having all kind of other bullshit going on at your house?"

Murphy frowned, then smiled, as he calmly continued to eat. No one at the table was wearing a mask at the beginning of the video. New Jersey requires people to wear masks except when it is impractical, like when people are eating.

Murphy’s son responded to the women by saying he liked one of their "Trump" phone cases, pointing to his father and saying, “Guess who Trump likes? He likes my dad.”

As the footage ended, the governor could be seen putting on a face mask.

"The state has experienced significant upticks in the rate of reported new cases across all counties, demonstrating the need for many of the state’s current measures to remain in place, both to reduce additional new infections and to save lives," Murphy said, according to NJ.com.

The confrontation comes shortly after Murphy’s latest executive order extended New Jersey’s emergency measures for another 30 days, marking the ninth time the governor has extended New Jersey’s public health emergency since March 9.

Report: New York’s Democrat Attorney General Puts Pressure on Business Leaders to Coerce Trump to Concede; Talk of Withholding Donations to GOP Georgia Senate Races

Trump-hater New York state Attorney General Letitia James, working in coordination with her fellow Democrat state attorneys general, is putting pressure on business leaders to coerce President Trump into conceding the presidential election and starting the transition to Joe Biden, according to a report by the New York Times published Monday. The report says the Democrat attorneys general hatched a plan to have James organize a conference call with top business leaders in New York that took place on Friday in which the idea was discussed of withholding donations to the two Republican U.S. Senate candidates in the Georgia runoff elections until Trump concedes.

Concerned that President Trump’s refusal to accept the election results is hurting the country, more than 100 chief executives plan to ask the administration on Monday to immediately acknowledge Joseph R. Biden Jr. as the president-elect and begin the transition to a new administration.

…As a way of gaining leverage over the G.O.P., some of the executives have also discussed withholding campaign donations from the two Republican Senate candidates in Georgia unless party leaders agree to push for a presidential transition, according to four people who participated in a conference call Friday in which the notion was discussed. The two runoff elections in Georgia, which will take place in early January, will determine the balance of power in the United States Senate.

…The Friday evening executive call, which included a group of about a dozen business leaders, was preceded by a meeting of Democratic state attorneys general that took place on Thursday evening, in which participants discussed what they could do to ensure an orderly transition. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday, which would be the first known meeting between senior Israeli and Saudi officials amid a push by the Trump administration to normalize ties between the longtime adversaries, according to A.P. News, citing Hebrew-language media.

Netanyahu and Yossi Cohen, head of Israel's Mossad spy agency, took a rare flight to the city of Neom, located in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia, on Sunday, where they met with the crown prince and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Sources told WSJ that senior officials from both countries discussed a wide range of issues, including the normalization of ties between both countries, along with other topics concerning Iran - no agreements were reached at the meeting, the sources added.

The meeting, possibly orchestrated by the Trump administration to isolate Iran and advance Israel's status in the Middle East, could suggest direct diplomatic relations may improve if an agreement is reached and result in a regional realignment, ultimately benefiting the U.S. However, the Saudi government has ignored calls to normalize ties with Israel as long as its conflict with the Palestinians remains unresolved.

In recent months, Israel has already made normalization deals with Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Sudan.

Saudi state media did not report on the meeting.

UNICEF planning ‘mammoth operation’ to deliver 2 billion Covid-19 vaccines to 92 low-middle income countries in 2021

UNICEF has announced it is working with 350 logistics partners, including major airlines and shipping lines, to ensure the delivery of nearly two billion Covid-19 vaccines to over 92 countries, as well as one billion syringes.

In a statement released by the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on Monday, the agency said it plans to play a massive role in the delivery of coronavirus vaccines in 2021, adding that it was anticipated to be the largest and fastest such operation ever undertaken.

“This invaluable collaboration will go a long way to ensure that enough transport capacity is in place for this historic and mammoth operation. We need all hands on deck as we get ready to deliver Covid-19 vaccine doses, syringes and more personal protective equipment to protect front line workers around the globe,” said Etleva Kadilli, Director of UNICEF’s Supply Division.

Through its 350 logistics partners, the agency plans to deliver close to two billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines to 92 countries in 2021. This is in addition to one billion syringes that will need to be transported by sea-freight.

UNICEF’s mammoth logistics operation will see the agency deliver vaccines manufactured by organizations that have agreements with the COVAX Facility, a global collaboration of governments, global health organizations and businesses working together to accelerate vaccine development and ensure global access.

UNICEF, along with partners at Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), kick-started preparations last week by hosting a meeting with major airlines and logistics companies to discuss capacity requirements.

The agency plans to commence operations as soon as doses are ready.

Clips from a new HBO documentary on transgender children are making the rounds on social media. Commenters have savaged the clips, with one pundit suggesting that the kids’ parents should be hauled “away in handcuffs.”

Filmed over five years, HBO’s ‘Transhood’ follows four children as they grow up transgender in Kansas City. Their parents, by and large, are supportive and push the kids to come out, to dress as the opposite gender in public and, in the case of one teenager, inject their daughter with testosterone.

The documentary was released earlier this month, but one clip went viral over the weekend. In it, four-year-old Phoenix’ mother takes him to a Unitarian Church service, and brings him to the lectern to tell the congregation that he is in fact a girl. Phoenix changes his mind about speaking, saying he is “shy,” but his mother interjects to tell the congregation that “Phoenix would like you to know that she’s a girl and she prefers ‘She’ and ‘Her’ pronouns.”

The churchgoers respond with a chant of “May you be well, safe, and whole. We honor you exactly as you are.”

“In a healthy and well adjusted society, this video would end with the police breaking down the door and hauling every adult away in handcuffs,” conservative pundit Matt Walsh wrote. “We do not live in such a society.”

After Years Behind Bars, Activist Who Exposed ‘Shadow CIA’ and US Gov’t Crimes to Be Freed

First reported by the Associated Press on Wednesday, November 18th, hacktivist Jeremy Hammond is finally set to be released from federal prison, 7 years and 3 Days to the date from his initial sentencing, after having been incarcerated for the majority of his ten year prison term.

Hammond is a computer programmer, and internet activist/ whistleblower associated with the hacktivist network Anonymous who had been sentenced to ten years imprisonment on November 15, 2013.

The sentence came about for breaching the servers of private intelligence firm Strategic Forecasting, Inc. also know as Stratfor, and releasing millions of internal documents to the transparency advocacy organization WikiLeaks. This exposed evidence that the intelligence consulting firm had been conducting illegal operations acting as spies for hire on behalf of governments and corporations against several human rights defenders and activist groups.

The documents released by Jeremy revealed damning information about the activities conducted outside of public view by this supposed security analyst company, that some have since dubbed a “shadow CIA”. One batch of documents revealed, as covered by RT, show that Stratfor operatives coordinated with Texas Department of Public Safety officers to infiltrate, conduct surveillance operations on, and subvert the activities of activist groups such as Occupy Wall Street, and the Deep Green Resistance all while committing violations of their civil liberties and constitutional rights.

Another set of emails, reported by The Times Of India, purportedly exposed some of Stratfor’s international operations as they allegedly also conducted surveillance against environmental activists in the Indian city of Madhya Pradesh, as a contractor for Dow Chemical, monitoring the activists protesting against the gas leak which lead to the 1984 Bhopal disaster.

A statement from Wikileaks regarding the emails released by Hammond alleged – “They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency.”

While these allegations are shocking, Stratfor wasn’t the only target in which Jeremy intended to peel back the curtain of corruption. A number of additional targets included military computers, private intelligence suppliers, and law enforcement agencies. The leaks included private documents revealing information from the mundane, to the downright contemptuously corrupt.

In an after trial statement released by Hammond he said – “I did this because I believe people have the right to know what government and corporations are doing behind closed doors. I did what I believe is right.”

Dominion CEO Admits In Testimony: Machines Rely On Chinese Parts From ‘Screen Interface Down To Chip Level’

John Poulos, the CEO and founder of Dominion Voting Systems, testified that his machines are composed of parts manufactured in China from the “screen on the interface down to the chip component level,” The National Pulse can reveal.

The comments came during Poulos’s sworn testimony before the House Administration Committee on January 9th, 2020.

The unearthed remarks boost claims that Dominion’s voting systems could have been influenced by a foreign actor – specifically the Biden-backing Chinese Communist Party.

Contained in the nearly three hour-long testimony, Poulos’s opening statement revealed how the company relies on parts manufactured in China for its voting machines.

Poulos didn’t “know the exact percentage” of China-based parts used in his company’s machines:

“We do have components in our products that come from China and don’t know the exact percentage. I can certainly get that to the committee through my staff – happy to work with you on getting the exact number.”

Democratic Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren interrupted, inquiring “before you go forward, what are the components that are from China.”

Poulos then reveals that “the actual glass screen on the interface down to the chip component level of capacitors and resistors” are from China:

“Uh so, for example, LCD components, the actual glass screen on the interface down to the chip component level of capacitors and resistors, several of those components to our knowledge are not even – there’s no option for manufacturing of those in the United States. We would welcome guidelines and best practices from the committee and from the federal government in terms of this is not a problem that is unique to the industry.”

Michigan’s secretary of state looks to bring the totalitarian practice of political prosecution to a whole new level

As Republicans in Michigan seek to make sure that every legal vote was counted – and every illegal vote discounted – in their state, that state’s highest law enforcement officer is looking for ways to punish them.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, a Democrat, is seeking guidance on whether that state’s Republican legislators who are challenge the certification of Michigan’s election results can be criminally charged.

Included in that inquiry is whether she can also charge them with even talking to President Trump or his team about the issue.

The Washington Post reports that Nessel is conferring with election law experts on whether those elected officials have violated any state laws “prohibiting them from engaging in bribery, perjury and conspiracy,” according to individuals familiar with Nessel’s inner circle.

This attempt by Nessel to manufacture politically based charges because elected officials seek to defend their constituents’ rights to a fair, undiluted, and non-corrupt election is considered an impeachable offense by some legal scholars.

Jonathan Turley, a constitutional law expert and professor at George Washington University Law School said, “When Democrats like Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) challenged the certification of Ohio’s electoral votes in 2004, no one suggested criminal investigations.”

“Nessel is threatening state legislators that, if they meet to discuss such objections, they might be targets of criminal investigations,” Turley continued. “That would seem an effort to use the criminal code for the purposes of intimidation or coercion.”

Gov. Andrew Cuomo Says Areas Face Red Zone Restrictions, Which Prohibit ‘Non-Essential Gatherings of Any Size’

Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) warned on Sunday that certain areas of New York City are heading toward tighter coronavirus restrictions, including the most restrictive “red zone” which prohibits all gatherings deemed “non-essential.”

The Democrat governor stated some areas, namely Staten Island, Long Island, and parts of Manhattan, are “in the warning track” and could soon face additional restrictions due to concerns over rising infection rates and hospital capacity.

“The rate goes up; there are more restrictions to slow the economy — that’s bad for business. Rates go up, you overburden the hospital system, you overburden doctors, nurses, you can have possible equipment supplies,” he said.

“Numbers go up and people die. People die. Period,” Cuomo added.

The governor said such areas “will go into those zones” unless the existing trajectory “dramatically” changes.

“Parts of Staten Island will go into an orange zone. Parts of Staten Island will go into red zone at the current rate,’’ he continued, referring to Staten Island as a “serious problem.”

The red zone is the most restrictive, prohibiting “non-essential gatherings” — both residential and non-residential — of “any size.” Red zone restrictions also close all businesses deemed “non-essential.” The orange zone is slightly less restrictive, allowing gatherings of ten people “maximum” either indoors or outdoors, though it requires “high-risk non-essential businesses” — such as hair salons and gyms — to remain closed.

Cuomo has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks after placing a ten-person cap on gatherings at private residences and pleading with local governments to enforce his mandate.

“The rules are only as good as the enforcement. Local governments are in charge of enforcement. There are only two fundamental truths in this situation: it’s individual discipline and it’s government enforcement. Period. End of sentence,” he said. He has since lashed out at law enforcement officers who have vowed not to enforce his edict.

“I don’t believe that person is a law enforcement officer,” Cuomo said at a Wednesday press conference.

“I don’t want a law enforcement officer who says, ‘I’m only enforcing the law that I like or think should be enforced,’” the Democrat governor added.

Last week, Cuomo explicitly urged people to stay away from their loved ones.

“Your safe zone is dangerous this year. Please. Love is sometimes doing what’s hard. This year, if you love someone, it is smarter and better to stay away,” he said:

Lawyer Sidney Powell said in a statement Sunday evening via Gen. (Ret.) Michael Flynn that said she understood the Trump campaign’s statement that she is not part of the campaign’s legal team and she is proceeding to file an “epic” lawsuit this week.

After Twitter suspended Powell for 12 hours, Flynn posted her statement on his Parler account, which said:

I agree with the campaign’s statement that I am not part of the campaign’s legal team. I never signed a retainer agreement or sent the President or the campaign a bill for my expenses or fees.

Her statement followed shorter ones made earlier on Sunday that said she agreed with the campaign’s statement and that she is “staying the course to prove the massive deliberate election fraud that robbed #WeThePeople of our votes for President Trump & other Republican candidates.”

Powell released the statements after the Trump campaign legal team, led by Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, released a short statement that said: “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

There has been some friction between Powell and the Trump legal team after a 90-minute press conference last week which featured Giuliani, Ellis, and Powell.

Powell received most of the attention afterwards for claims that votes were switched via election systems, and later got into a public row with Fox News host Tucker Carlson after he pressed her for evidence that she said she would later present to a court.

Japanese authorities should compensate the former head of the Nissan-Renault alliance, Carlos Ghosn, for his lengthy and repeated “arbitrary” detention, a UN human right panel has concluded.

Ghosn was detained four times in a row, with two arrests based on the same grounds, and spent more than 130 days in a Japanese jail, according to the United Nations Human Rights Council’s Working Group on Arbitrary Detention report published on Monday. The five-member body, which is made up of independent experts, said such “a revolving pattern of detention” amounted to “an extrajudicial abuse of process” and was in violation of international law.

“The repeated arrest of Mr. Ghosn appears to be an abuse of process intended to ensure that he remained in custody,” the report stated, adding that the detention “was fundamentally unfair.”

Not only is Gov. Kate Brown (D-OR) instituting an utterly pointless six-person limit on at-home get-togethers during Thanksgiving week, she’s calling on Oregon residents to snitch on one another if the six-person limit is violated.

Now, I would hope before you call the police, you would ask your neighbor to tone it down and maybe give them a little leeway on a Friday or Saturday night (I lived next door for years to a house rented to college kids, so I’m familiar with the nuances of trying not to be a dick), but the moment your neighbor’s noise or beer cans or foot crosses over to your property line, they are violating your rights.

Seven people gathered next door for Thanksgiving is not a violation of your rights. A hundred people gathered next door (as long as they don’t park like assholes) for Thanksgiving are not violating your rights.

Britain “will suffer” if it continues to stand up against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and lose billions in Chinese investment, warned a China lobbying group in the United Kingdom.

Wenjian Fang, the chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom — which represents hundreds of Chinese businesses including Huawei, ZTE, and Air China — threatened that China will throw its economic muscle around should Britain continue to ban Chinese companies.

“If you continue to bar Chinese companies, the UK itself will suffer from lack of support or co-operation from China. Chinese investor confidence will be heavily impacted … when the UK needs investment so much at this time,” said Mr Fang, according to the Sunday Times.

China has increasingly taken a hardline stance following the mainstream media’s declaration that former vice-president Joe Biden won last month’s presidential election in the United States.

The CCP has targeted both the United Kingdom and Australia, which have started standing up to the communist regime during President Trump’s term in office, with the British government announcing that it would ban Chinese tech giant Huawei from its 5G networks by 2031 after pressure from the White House in July.

There is also a national security and investment bill being considered by Parliament that could be used to block Chinese investment from critical infrastructure in Britain.

Mr Fang, who also serves as the head of the state-owned Bank of China in the UK, went on to go after Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s ‘Build Back Better’ green agenda, warning that China could pull its funding from the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant.

“They are prepared to make further big, substantial investment in the UK, but they are now waiting to see what decision the UK government is going to make,” he said, adding: “Why do you close the door and send them away? OK, go and find another partner. The plan to reduce emissions will be heavily impacted.”

He went on to warn that British companies with large exports to China, such as Jaguar Land Rover and Burberry, could face ramifications as well, saying: “If the UK continues to be hostile to China, to Chinese companies and goods, what will the public reaction in China be? The public will say, ‘OK, if you don’t buy from us, why should we buy from you?’ We have seen such things happen before.”

Hong Kong Watch founder Benedict Rogers described the threats from Mr Fang as “more bullying by the Chinese Communist Party regime.”

“We need global, co-ordinated, targeted and robust sanctions against the CCP and we need them now,” Rogers said.

The chairman of the powerful Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Commons, Tom Tugendhat MP, said: “Chinese businesses claim to be independent but they threaten like the Central Committee of the CCP. We’ve seen the same tactics used in Australia. They have stood up to this threat to their sovereignty. We must too.”

China has spent the last two decades dumping millions of pounds sterling into investment projects in Britain, as well as buying stakes in Heathrow and Thames Water.

Over 2,000 ‘Child’ Asylum Seekers in the UK Lied About Their Age to Cheat the System: Report

Latest figures from the UK Home Office reveal that over 2,000 supposed asylum seekers lied about their age to immigration officials, pretending to be children to improve their odds of remaining in the country.

Since 2015, the government has investigated 3,755 immigration cases where the age of the migrant was in question. Out of those investigations, some 2,203 asylum seekers were found to be over the age of 18, after previously claiming to be minors.

In reality, the actual number of fraudulent claims from migrants may be higher as cases are not opened against ‘children’ unless they appear to be “significantly” over the age of 18, after which they are age-assessed by local social workers.

A Home Office spokesman told the Daily Mail: “We are fixing our broken asylum system to make it firm and fair. We will seek to stop abuse of the system while ensuring it is compassionate towards those who need our help, welcoming people through safe and legal routes.”

Under the current system in the UK, child refugees fleeing from war, humanitarian crises, or terrorism are provided financial assistance until the age of 25. Those who are over the age of 18 are still afforded government assistance; however, the payments are much lower, incentivising the fraud.

The problem of asylum seekers posing as children was highlighted in October when parents complained that a “child” migrant who “looks 40” joined a school in Coventry, England.

The government has yet to reveal the age of the migrant, but images were shared online appeared to show clear signs of age.

The problem is not a new phenomenon. In 2018, a student was pulled from Stoke High School after it was alleged that he was 30 years old rather than 15, as he claimed.

In another notable example, an apparently 38-year-old man fraudulently claimed that he was a child migrant. Left-wing activists falsely claimed that he was working as a language interpreter for other migrants after photos emerged of the man online.

Amidst the record waves of boat migrants crossing the English Channel from France, Kent County Council (KCC) said in August that due to “months of extraordinary demands” they could no longer “safely accommodate” any more migrants claiming to be children.

REPORT OVERVIEW

This report aims to provide background information regarding the fraud-related entities, including Sequoia voting systems, Smartmatic, Dominion voting systems and Sequoia Capital China, and to reveal their complex relationship and connections.

BACKGROUND

Automatic Voting Machine Company or AVM

The Shoup Voting Machine Corporation was an American manufacturer of voting machines, founded in New Jersey in 1905 by Samuel R. Shoup. It changed names and locations over the years, before going out of business as Advanced Voting Solutions, Inc. of Frisco, Texas in 2015.

Sequoia Voting Systems

The company’s predecessor was a California-based company, and it was one of the largest suppliers of electronic voting systems in the U.S. In 1984, Sequoia Pacific Systems acquired the voting machine business of AVM and reorganized it as Sequoia Voting Systems, Inc. Under Sequoia’s ownership, the AVM was certified for use in several states in 1986 and 1987, with sleek new packaging, it went to public in 1990 as Sequoia AVC Advantage DRE voting machines.

Smartmatic

On March 8, 2005, Sequoia was acquired by Smartmatic, a multi-national technology company which had developed advanced election systems, voting machines included. Since then, Smartmatic has dedicated much of its development and management team to modifying some of Sequoia’s older, traditional voting machines, and replacing their technology with avant-garde proprietary features and developments, which resulted in new, high-tech products.

Following this acquisition, U.S. Representative Carolyn B. Maloney requested an investigation to determine whether the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) had followed correct processes to green-light sale of Sequoia to Smartmatic, which was described as having “possible ties to the Venezuelan government” So, in November 2007, following a ruling by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), Smartmatic was ordered to sell Sequoia Voting Systems.

Dominion Voting Systems

The company was founded in 2002 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, by John Poulos and James Hoover. Dominion is the second largest seller of voting machines in the U.S. In 2016, its machines served 70 million voters in 1,600 jurisdictions. In 2019, the state of Georgia selected Dominion Voting Systems to provide its new statewide voting system beginning in 2020.

In June 2010, Dominion acquired Sequoia Voting Systems.

After the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Dominion either deleted or gave millions of votes that had been cast for President Trump to rival Joe Biden. Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal attorney, made several assertions about Dominion, including that his Dominion used software developed by rival Smartmatic, which he claimed was actually Dominion’s property, and that the software was developed by former Venezuelan socialist leader Hugo Chávez Biden. “WE WILL NOT COMPLY!” – Americans from Coast to Coast Defy COVID Orders

Yesterday we reported how many law enforcement officials across the nation have stated that they will not enforce new COVID orders from governors. See:

Early indications are they will! Apparently many people are fed up with the ongoing unending COVID orders that are literally destroying lives, and they are making it very clear that they will NOT comply this time!

In a video that has gone viral on YouTube (we have a backup copy on our Bitchute channel processing right now just in case it disappears), business owners in Buffalo, New York, had gathered at an Orchard Park gym to discuss what to do with the state’s new COVID orders, when the Health Department showed up along with two armed Sheriff Deputies in bullet-proof vests from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office to try to enforce Cuomo’s new COVID orders.

The business owners do not recognize the authority of either the Health Department or law enforcement, and tell them to come back once there is a law and they have a warrant, and told them to get off their property because they were trespassing.

When they do not leave, they start chanting GET OUT and they leave the building. Standing in the parking lot, they continue demanding that they leave and start chanting: WE WILL NOT COMPLY!

Faced with opposition, non-violent opposition at that, the tyrants leave.

Robby Dinero, a former Marine who owns the gym, told the NBC affiliate he called the meeting as a protest of the harsh restrictions being implemented for a second time.

“I am a local business owner. My business is now shut down for the second time, so I posted on Facebook that anybody that wanted to fight back, any other business owners that wanted to learn how we could fight back against New York State, could join me for a protest at my gym,” Dinero said.

The video was taken by blogger Tim Walton, who also shared comments from one business owner who wished to remain anonymous.

“We are struggling. Our livelihoods have been taken. Our income has been controlled. Our freedoms have been taken away and many of us are about to lose everything we’ve worked for and they want us to sit there and not stand up?” the individual said.

“How can they tell you to close your business, then argue that you can’t even meet to come up with ways to survive — and meanwhile there’s no help from the government and very few elected officials even standing up for businesses and it’s starting to be noticed,” he added. (Full article.)
