of tech companies taking action against the movement

Patreon, the membership platform where fans can support creators through subscriptions, announced Thursday that the QAnon conspiracy theory would be banned.

A Media Matters for America reporter recently found that 14 QAnon-related influencers were using Patreon to make money.

As of Thursday, soon after the company's blog post, some of those creators were still available on Patreon.

Patreon is the latest tech company to take action on the QAnon conspiracy theory, announcing in a blog post Thursday morning that creators promoting the movement would be banned from the platform.

Patreon, a membership platform that lets fans support creators and celebrities financially through subscriptions, previously hosted 14 QAnon influencers on the platform, according to a recent report from the progressive media watchdog Media Matters for America (MMFA).

QAnon, the baseless far-right conspiracy theory that alleges President Donald Trump is fighting a deep-state cabal of human traffickers, has recently been banned or limited by Facebook, YouTube, Etsy, Spotify, Triller, and several other platforms.

While many QAnon followers base their beliefs on "Q drops" from an anonymous "Q" figure on the messageboard 8kun, the movement is now spread by QAnon influencers who analyze and explain the "Q drops" for their followers.

Patreon creators who used the platform to earn money included some of the movement's top influencers, MMFA found, including Patriots Soapbox, Sean Morgan, Praying Medic, and InTheMatrixxx, all of which were already banned from YouTube.

As of Thursday morning, soon after the company published its blog post, those four creators were still up and running on Patreon. Those creators have QAnon references in their profiles.

Patreon said that creators who have been identified by Patreon's Policy and Trust and Safety teams as QAnon-specific will be removed, but those "who have propagated some QAnon content, but are not dedicated to spreading QAnon disinformation, will have the opportunity to bring their campaigns into compliance with our updated guidelines."

The company cited other platforms' QAnon moderation plans as part of their decision.

"While Patreon does not propagate this content directly, there are a small number of creators on the platform who have supported the QAnon conspiracy theory with their work. Because of this, and the fact that we have seen a number of other online platforms become overrun with pages and groups actively focused around QAnon disinformation, we are taking action," the platform said.

The law, passed by the House by a 237-197 margin in May and the Senate by a vote of 83-15 in September, changes U.S. trade law to establish permanent normal trade relations with Beijing, eliminating Congress' annual review of China's trading status.

The bill allows China to move one step closer to joining the World Trade Organization and is part of a U.S.-China trade agreement that includes lower tariffs on U.S. goods sold there.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s ENTIRE testimony revealed: Docs show Epstein’s ‘madame’ trying to EVADE sex trafficking allegations

A document containing the testimony of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged madame, Ghislaine Maxwell, has been made public. The transcript contains lurid details of Maxwell’s sex life, and prosecutors say it shows evidence of perjury.

The deposition was ordered to be released by senior US District Judge Loretta Preska on Monday, and went public on Thursday morning. The interviews with the 58-year-old socialite were conducted in 2016 as part of a since-settled libel case against Maxwell by Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has also accused Maxwell of abusing her.

During the interviews, Maxwell told prosecutors that she invited Giuffre to Epstein’s house to work as a masseuse, while Giuffre was underage. Maxwell also said that she had “no idea” whether another unnamed girl was 13-years-old when she met her.

Giuffre and a number of other girls have accused Maxwell of recruiting them to massage Epstein, an arrangement that would progress into sexual acts. When asked whether these underage masseuses would “perform sexual acts for Jeffrey Epstein,” Maxwell told the prosecutor “I don’t know what you mean by sexual acts,” and later called Giuffre’s accusations “lies.”

Maxwell refused to say whether she participated in any of Epstein’s massage sessions, and kept quiet as prosecutors grilled her on the deceased pedophile’s sexual interests. “I cannot tell you what Jeffrey’s story is,” she said when asked whether “Jeffrey Epstein had a sexual preference for minors.”

Throughout the mammoth 450-page interview, Maxwell remained guarded and evasive. Asked whether she was ever aware of any underage girls visiting Epstein’s Palm Beach home, she said that “the house is actually quite large,” so she would have been unaware of every visitor who came to see Jeffrey.

Maxwell did not deny taking Giuffre to London when Giuffre was 17-years-old. During this trip, Giuffre alleges that she had sex with Prince Andrew in Maxwell’s home. Andrew’s name is redacted from the transcript, but unredacted details – like travel dates and a puppet allegedly gifted to the British royal by Epstein – make it easy to see where Andrew is mentioned. Maxwell said that she “cannot recall” Giuffre and Andrew having sex during that trip, but confirmed that the Duke of York visited Epstein on the pedophile’s private island at least once.

The document will take some time to comb for incriminating information, but Maxwell at certain points seems desperate to cover her tracks. Asked whether she flew on Epstein’s plane with Giuffre, who was underage, Maxwell said she had no way of knowing the girl’s age. When presented with the flight logs, which showed “JE, GM, and Virginia,” Maxwell replied “How do you know the GM is me?”

NPR Managing Editor Terence Samuels has issued a statement on why the network refuses to cover the Hunter Biden scandal - claiming that it's a 'waste of time' and a 'pure distraction.'

NPR claims that the New York Post investigation into the Bidens has "many red flags" and note that "Intelligence officials warn that Russia has been working overtime to keep the story of Hunter Biden in the spotlight."

Even if Russia can’t be positively connected to this information, the story of how Trump associates Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani came into a copy of this computer hard drive has not been verified and seems suspect. And if that story could be verified, the NY Post did no forensic work to convince consumers that the emails and photos that are the basis for their report have not been altered. -NPR

"We don't want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories, and we don't want to waste the listeners’ and readers’ time on stories that are just pure distractions," said Samuels. "And quite frankly, that's where we ended up, this was … a politically driven event and we decided to treat it that way."

Except, NPR, we now have two ex-business associates of Hunter Biden who have gone on-record with direct email and text evidence that Joe Biden was directly involved in Hunter's business dealings, and appears to have pimped out the office of the Vice Presidency to enrich his family.

According to NPR, this is a 'waste of time.'

Recall, Biden associate, Tony Bobulinski on Wednesday night released a devastating memo confirming Joe Biden was in on the Biden family’s corruption while he was VP.

Tony Bobulinski is the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family.

The following email is from a top Chinese official to Tony Bobulinski on July 26, 2017 proposing a $5 million “interest-free” loan and possible subsequent loan(s).

The Chinese official asked Tony Bobulinski, “How will the 5 million be used….This 5 million loan is interest free. But if the 5 million is used up, should CEFC keep lending more to the family?”

Less than two weeks later, on August 8, 2017, $5 million was wired from a CEFC-affiliated investment vehicle to the bank account for Hudson West III, which spent the next year transferring $4,790,375 million directly to Hunter Biden’s firm, Owasco, according to Senate documents.

Senate investigators described how the Chinese state owned energy company wired the $5 million “loan” to Hunter’s firm through an investment vehicle — to the bank account for Hudson West III –which then dispersed the money to Hunter’s firm (money laundering).

A whistleblower CEO and Biden associate, Tony Bobulinski on Wednesday night released a devastating memo confirming Joe Biden was in on the Biden family’s corruption while he was VP.

Bobulinski, who was named in one of the emails released by The New York Post said in his statement that the emails are authentic.

“Hunter Biden called his dad “the Big Guy” or “my Chairman” and frequently referenced asking him for the sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing,” Bobulinski said. “I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business. There's a building, but no one is making anything

A massive Taiwanese electronics company promised to build a huge factory in Wisconsin and provide 13,000 new jobs in exchange for tax breaks and other incentives.

The company built the facility, but officials are asking: Where are the jobs, and what is being produced?

A new report reveals that the new factory is a fake.

What's the background?

Back in 2017, Taiwan's electronics giant Foxconn vowed to build what the company said would be a $10 billion factory in Wisconsin that would employ 13,000 people building LCD TV screens. In exchange, the state government offered the company more than $4 billion in incentives, including $3 billion in refundable tax credits.

In June 2018, President Donald Trump, Foxconn CEO Terry Gou, and former Wisconsin officials ceremonially broke ground on what was supposed to be the site of a 20-million-square-foot complex.

But on March 30, 2019, the company suddenly announced it would not be building the plant after all.

President Trump then stepped in to make phone calls to Gou and reportedly got the company to agree two days later to go forward with the planned factory.

What's happening now?

Well, Foxconn has built a factory in Wisconsin, but it appears that's about the extent of it.

In a story posted Wednesday evening, the Verge revealed that the factory is essentially a fake.

Citing a report from the Wisconsin Division of Executive Budget and Finance, the Verge said Foxconn did not build the giant Gen 10.5 LCD facility for building TV screens it had promised. Instead, the electronics outfit built a "smaller Gen 6 LCD factory" that "shows no signs of manufacturing LCDs in the foreseeable future and 'may be better suited for demonstration purposes.'"

The building is reportedly 1/20th the size originally promised — and now is not even being used for anything close to its stated purpose.

According to the Verge, Foxconn got a permit to "change its intended use from manufacturing to storage." Also, the company has yet to order the equipment necessary to make LCDs.

And those promised 13,000 jobs? Turns out that the company hired only 281 people by the end of 2019 who qualified to meet the terms of the deal with the state. Many of those employees have already been laid off, the Verge said. And the job numbers continue to go in the wrong direction.

Has the state responded?

Now the state is striking back, saying that the Foxconn project does not warrant the massive subsidy package pushed and approved by then-Gov. Scott Walker (R), which included at least $400 million in state and local government spending on land and infrastructure the company will now probably never use.

The state report cited by the Verge said, "Taxpayers fully performed their side of the agreement to date, while the Recipients have not," adding that "state taxpayers have spent as much if not more than" Foxconn has its campus.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, which has been tasked with overseeing the Foxconn deal, elected last week to deny the company its first installment of $3 billion in refundable tax credits, the Verge reported.

According to the WEDC, Foxconn has refused to come to the table to negotiate a revision of the company's contract, despite multiple warnings the state has issued that the current project is in violation of the state's agreement and therefore ineligible for subsidies.

Senate Judiciary Committee approves Amy Coney Barrett Supreme Court nomination despite Democrats' boycott

The Senate Judiciary Committee has approved Trump-nominated Justice Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, despite the body's Democratic members' efforts to frustrate the process by boycotting the vote.

The 12 Republican members of the committee unanimously approved Barrett's nomination on Thursday morning, sending the nomination to the full Senate for confirmation. Their 10 Democrat counterparts, however, were absent from the proceedings, having chosen to sit out the vote in protest.

Sitting in the place of the Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee were giant photographs of people said to rely on the Affordable Care Act for their healthcare - former President Barack Obama's signature healthcare bill that was advertised as bringing universal healthcare to the US but fell short of that goal.

Democrats worry Barrett’s vote on the Court will jeopardize the program, which has already been cut back under President Donald Trump, by eliminating its signature “individual mandate” which required Americans to purchase healthcare or face a tax penalty. Barrett has previously argued against the Act, penning an essay in 2017 that declared it unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court is scheduled to take up a case next month that could invalidate the entire policy.

Judiciary Committee head Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) dismissed the Democrats' protest, stating it was the party's “choice” to boycott but “we're not going to allow them to take over the committee.” The committee’s approval clears the way for a full Senate vote on Barrett’s confirmation, scheduled for Monday.

I am the grandson of a 37 year Army Intelligence officer, the son of a 20+ year career Naval Officer and the brother of a 28 year career Naval Flight Officer. I take great pride in the time my family and I served this country. I am also not a political person. What few campaign contributions I have made in my life were to Democrats.

Anons - I've been doing social media digs on Tony Bobulinski and turned up blanks. But I found his brother Michael on FB. Scrolling back through several years of FB posts, zero on anything Dem or Rep, Trump or Biden or Obama. Nothing. But lots of posts that reveal a patriotic viewpoint. American flags aplenty. Lots of posts about how proud he is of his father who was a Navy veteran. Michael and his wife Alanna are parents of 3 currently college age daughters, and their social media profiles also show nothing political (unusual for their virtue signaling “woke” generation). They appear to be a close and loving family.

Sadly, Alanna (Tony’s sister-in-law) lost her battle with cancer and passed away just 5 days ago. Four days later, Tony issued his statement implicating Joe & Hunter.

I posted earlier that Tony, though involved in a business relationship with the Biden family, he seemed like a patriotic guy. I have nothing concrete to support that other than reading between the lines of his statement and references to his, his father’s and his grandfather’s military service.

Interesting that in the midst of dealing with the death of his brother’s wife, he flipped on the Bidens. This leads me to believe that he wasn’t pressured to do so, but was guided by a sense of right and wrong. There is no way to sauce what is in a man’s heart. But a family death has a way of putting things into perspective, and may have contributed to Tony feeling the need to take a moral stand on something that had been bothering him for a long time. Alanna’s service is Saturday. The Bobulinski family is in my prayers.

Kek (Kuk or Keku) was one of the oldest Egyptian gods in ancient Egyptian history is the deification of the primordial concept of darkness. The name Kuk means darkness, the god of the darkness of chaos before the creation was began. Kuk has no gender, but has the aspect that can represent as male or female. Kuk is the male aspect and Kauket also known as Keket is the female aspect.

According to the myth, there was a watery mass of dark, directionless chaos was the only thing existed on earth before there was land. There were four frog gods and four snake goddesses who lived this chaos. They were four pair of deities, Nun and Naunet, Amun and Amaunet, Heh and Hauhet and Kuk with Kauket who represents water, void, infinite time and darkness. This group of eight gods formed the Ogdoad. Then very first land was rose out of Nun in the form of mound.

Kuk appearance portrayed as a man with the head of frog or as a frog itself. Kauket appearance portrayed as a woman with the head of snake or as a snake itself. Kuk represented darkness, obscurity and night. However, although he was a god of the darkness, he was also associated with the dawn and given the title as the “bringer-in of the light”.

History

In the oldest representations, Kekui is given the head of a serpent, and Kekuit the head of either a frog or a cat. In one scene, they are identified with Ka and Kait; in this scene, Ka-Kekui has the head of a frog surmounted by a beetle and Kait-Kekuit has the head of a serpent surmounted by a disk.

In the Greco-Roman period, Kek’s male form was depicted as a frog-headed man, and the female form as a serpent-headed woman, as were all four dualistic concepts in the Ogdoad.

In relation to the 2016 United States presidential election, individuals associated with online message boards, such as 4chan, noted a similarity between Kek and the character Pepe the Frog. This, combined with the frequent use of the term “kek” as a stand-in for the internet slang “lol”, which was often paired with images of Pepe, resulted in a resurgence of interest in the ancient deity.

QAnon may be losing some of its online platforms—but the conspiracy theory is increasingly being enabled by the Republican Party.

This week, TikTok became the latest app to clamp down on QAnon, announcing a ban on content and accounts that promote the conspiracy theory. QAnon, which began in 2017 with an anonymous post on the internet forum 4Chan by someone identifying themselves as “Q” and claiming to have a high-level government security clearance, revolves around the delusion that Democratic Party operatives, Hollywood stars, and members of the “deep state” are running a satanic child trafficking ring, and that President Trump is working to stop them. The ranks of QAnon adherents have grown remarkably this year, spreading misinformation online and inspiring real-world violence. TikTok’s action follows similar attempts by YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter to slow the spread of Q-related disinformation.

But QAnon has already morphed from an online community of amateur detectives to a budding political movement, encompassing a mess of other conspiracist beliefs. Interest in QAnon has ballooned since the beginning of the pandemic and related economic shutdowns when, suddenly, many people had nowhere to go but the Internet. Between March and July membership in ten large QAnon Facebook groups grew by nearly 600 percent. During the same time period, according to a Pew survey, the number of Americans who had heard or read “a lot or a little” about QAnon doubled from 23 percent to 47 percent; 41 percent of Republicans who had heard about QAnon said they thought it was “somewhat” or “very good” for the country. Swedish economics professor Johan Eklund has criticised the government’s failure to integrate migrants who arrived in 2015 into the labour force.

A total of 163,000 migrants came to Sweden during the height of the migrant crisis in 2015, and of those granted asylum, around 60,000 were given permanent residency. But despite efforts, just over half of those aged 20 to 64 with residence rights had worked at all in 2019.

Around 11,900 migrants were said to be on local welfare programmes in 2019 while 10,000 benefitted from parental allowance and 8,700 received student aid money, newspaper Helsingborgs Dagblad reports.

“I am not prepared to point the finger in any direction about whose failure it is. But as an economist, I react to the fact that there are thousands of individuals of working age who have no income whatsoever,” said Johan Eklund, a professor at Blekinge Institute of Technology.

“This is a burden to society. The dependency on grants is a socio-economic cost. There is also the question of what happens to individuals who do not participate in society?” he added.

Even among the 35,400 or so migrants who had worked in 2019, many did not earn high salaries, making an average of just 100,000 Swedish kronor (£8,840/$11,440) for the year, with women earning just 52,000 kronor (£4,600/$5,950) on average.

A study authored by Professor Eklund showed that of the migrants who came to Sweden between 1990 and 2016, only half managed to become self-sufficient and not require government benefits after 12 to 13 years of living in the country.

While Swedish politicians have pushed for more refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants to fill needed jobs, Sweden has had great difficulties integrating new arrivals into the workforce with the unemployment rate for foreigners remaining far higher than that of native Swedes.

One reason for higher unemployment among migrants, other than the language barrier, has been a lack of education. A Swedish Public Employment Office report earlier this month revealed nearly half of the foreigners without work registered with them had no high school education.

A new lawsuit targets Pennsylvania’s mail-in ballot deadline

HARRISBURG — A new lawsuit, filed Thursday, is challenging Pennsylvania’s court-ordered deadline to count mail-in ballots that are received up to three days after the Nov. 3 election in the presidential battleground state.

Plaintiffs include a Republican congressional candidate and four registered voters from Somerset County.

The lawsuit comes 12 days before the election and three days after the U.S. Supreme Court, divided 4-4, rejected a Republican plea making a similar argument.

Both sought to block a state Supreme Court ruling that required county election officials to receive and count mailed-in ballots that arrive up until Nov. 6, even if they don’t have a clear postmark, as long as there is not proof it was mailed after the polls closed.

Thursday's lawsuit argues that the deadline extension is unfair to in-person voters and violated the court's authority by exercising a power that is constitutionally vested in Congress and the state Legislature.

With about 2.9 million mail-in ballots requested, registered Democrats have requested about 1.1 million more mail-in ballots than Republicans, or 1.8 million to 700,000, according to state data.

The Democratic majority on the state’s high court had cited warnings that postal service delays could invalidate huge numbers of ballots and surging demand for mail-in ballots during the coronavirus pandemic to invoke the power, used previously by the state’s courts, to extend election deadlines during a disaster emergency.

Fort Bend County suspect possessed more than 2K child pornography files, DA's Office alleges

A Missouri City man has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography after popular file storage and sharing website Dropbox.com reported images allegedly associated with his account.

The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office arrested Larry Savoy, 28, following a tip from Dropbox, Inc. According to Savoy’s arrest warrant, on May 12, Dropbox, Inc. reported to the National Center for the Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline that one of their users uploaded 2,272 photos and videos of sex crimes against children

The District Attorney’s Office traced the user information to Savoy, and the IP address from his computer matched that of Savoy’s.

Among the files reported by Dropbox, Inc. is a two-minute video depicting the sexual assault of a child between the ages of 1 and 2, the warrant said.

The video is a “hash match” to a file from Savoy’s IP address, the District Attorney’s Office said. A hash match designation indicates that the uploaded file matches the value of an uploaded file reported to the NCMEC like a digital fingerprint.

For one year the countries will cap deployed and non-deployed warheads both — the latter have never been part of a deal because they're impossible to verify

Editor’s note: Putin offered a one-year extension of the deal as-is but the US wanted to additionally cap non-deployed warheads as well. Russia has proposed granting the United States its request for a mutual nuclear warhead freeze if Washington agrees to Moscow’s calls to extend their last nuclear arms treaty for at least one year without further preconditions.

After a week of wrangling through public statements with U.S. officials, the Russian Foreign Ministry released a surprise statement Tuesday clarifying its position on the ongoing efforts to renew the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START). The statement appeared to offer the same freeze previously dismissed as “unacceptable” by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as talks entered the 11th hour before the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

“Russia has proposed extending the New START for one year and is ready to assume a political obligation together with the United States to freeze the sides’ existing arsenals of nuclear warheads during this period,” the statement said.

Such a position was contingent on the U.S. agreeing not to impose any additional conditions, which have so far limited progress on negotiations.

“Our proposal can only and exclusively be implemented on the understanding that the United States will not advance any additional conditions with regard to freezing the arsenals,” the statement added. “If this suits Washington, the time gained through the extension of the New START could be used to hold comprehensive bilateral talks on the future of nuclear missile control, with the mandatory discussion of all factors that can influence strategic stability.”

The remarks followed Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s proposal Friday to extend the treaty without conditions for one year, a message that the Russian Foreign Ministry Ministry complained Monday had only been answered through social media.

White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien had replied at the time that the agreement was a “non-starter” because it did not include “freezing nuclear warheads.”

Shortly after Monday’s Russian Foreign Ministry statement, however, State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus issued a formal response.

“We appreciate the Russian Federation’s willingness to make progress on the issue of nuclear arms control,” Ortagus said. “The United States is prepared to meet immediately to finalize a verifiable agreement. We expect Russia to empower its diplomats to do the same.”

Both the U.S. and Russia have highlighted the importance of regulating their strategic arsenals but have expressed differing views on how to prevent New START’s scheduled expiration on February 4.

House Democrats pass $2.2 trillion stimulus bill over GOP opposition; bipartisan talks continue

House Democrats passed a $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief bill Thursday over intense GOP opposition, even as bipartisan talks between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin continued.

The legislation, which passed 214 to 207, has no chance of advancing in the Republican-led Senate and is opposed by the White House. But it’s been nearly five months since the House passed the $3.4 trillion Heroes Act, which also went nowhere in the Senate. So with the House set to recess Friday through the election, Pelosi (D-Calif.) acceded to demands from moderate Democrats who wanted to take new action to address the toll of the coronavirus pandemic before heading home to campaign for reelection.

“This is not just a money debate and a language debate. It’s a values debate. It’s important for people to know that what this fight is about,” Pelosi said on the House floor ahead of the vote. “The people have needs, and we have to meet them.”

Republicans railed against Pelosi for advancing a bill that has no chance of becoming law, accusing her of playing politics instead of trying to strike a bipartisan deal. And even though it was largely pressure from moderate Democrats, some in tough reelection races, that persuaded Pelosi to reverse course and put the bill on the floor, 18 mostly centrist Democrats voted “no” on the legislation Thursday, with some expressing frustration that they were voting on a bill that was headed nowhere instead of an actual deal.

“Today’s package is another partisan exercise that will never become law — just as the Heroes Act never received a single vote in the Senate, let alone reached the President’s desk,” freshman Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) said in a statement. “The American people are exhausted by empty promises and government dysfunction.”

But even as the highly partisan debate was underway on the House floor, behind the scenes Pelosi was, in fact, working to try to strike a bipartisan deal with Mnuchin. The two spent the day trading phone calls and offers, and although Pelosi said they remained far apart on some issues, the negotiations were continuing and appeared to be getting into some granular details, such as specific language on a coronavirus testing plan, and whether and at what level Republicans could agree to a refundable child tax credit sought by Democrats.

I work in the healthcare field. Here’s the problem, we are testing people for any strain of a Coronavirus. Not specifically for COVID-19. There are no reliable tests for a specific COVID-19 virus. There are no reliable agencies or media outlets for reporting numbers of actual COVID-19 virus cases. This needs to be addressed first and foremost. Every action and reaction to COVID-19 is based on totally flawed data and we simply can not make accurate assessments.

This is why you’re hearing that most people with COVID-19 are showing nothing more than cold/flu like symptoms. That’s because most Coronavirus strains are nothing more than cold/flu like symptoms. The few actual novel Coronavirus cases do have some worse respiratory responses, but still have a very promising recovery rate, especially for those without prior issues.

The ‘gold standard’ in testing for COVID-19 is laboratory isolated/purified coronavirus particles free from any contaminants and particles that look like viruses but are not, that have been proven to be the cause of the syndrome known as COVID-19 and obtained by using proper viral isolation methods and controls (not the PCR that is currently being used or Serology /antibody tests which do not detect virus as such). PCR basically takes a sample of your cells and amplifies any DNA to look for ‘viral sequences’, i.e. bits of non-human DNA that seem to match parts of a known viral genome.

The problem is the test is known not to work.

It uses ‘amplification’ which means taking a very very tiny amount of DNA and growing it exponentially until it can be analyzed. Obviously any minute contaminations in the sample will also be amplified leading to potentially gross errors of discovery.

Additionally, it’s only looking for partial viral sequences, not whole genomes, so identifying a single pathogen is next to impossible even if you ignore the other issues.

The Mickey Mouse test kits being sent out to hospitals, at best, tell analysts you have some viral DNA in your cells. Which most of us do, most of the time. It may tell you the viral sequence is related to a specific type of virus – say the huge family of coronavirus. But that’s all. The idea these kits can isolate a specific virus like COVID-19 is nonsense.

And that’s not even getting into the other issue – viral load.

If you remember the PCR works by amplifying minute amounts of DNA. It therefore is useless at telling you how much virus you may have. And that’s the only question that really matters when it comes to diagnosing illness. Everyone will have a few virus kicking round in their system at any time, and most will not cause illness because their quantities are too small. For a virus to sicken you you need a lot of it, a massive amount of it. But PCR does not test viral load and therefore can’t determine if it is present in sufficient quantities to sicken you.

If you feel sick and get a PCR test any random virus DNA might be identified even if they aren’t at all involved in your sickness which leads to false diagnosis.

And coronavirus are incredibly common. A large percentage of the world human population will have covi DNA in them in small quantities even if they are perfectly well or sick with some other pathogen.

Do you see where this is going yet? If you want to create a totally false panic about a totally false pandemic – pick a coronavirus.

Miami attorney, 41, is unmasked by the FBI as an armed robber who had struck at five banks in the past three weeks and was arrested on his way to a sixth

The FBI has arrested a Miami attorney on suspicion of being a serial bank robber in the South Florida area.

Aaron Honaker, 41, has alleged robbed five banks in the past three weeks and authorities believe he was on his way to rob a sixth Tuesday night when he was taken into custody at a bank in Coral Gables.

Investigators did not say which bank. A local police officer recognized him from a description of a suspect while in the downtown area.

Honaker is thought to be the man responsible for raids at Wells Fargo, Chase, Citibank and HSBC branches in the Coral Gables, Dania Beach and Aventura neighborhoods since September 30.

The pressure is building for NBC News’ Kristen Welker to address the ongoing scandal surrounding a laptop purportedly belonging to Hunter Biden during Thursday night’s final presidential debate as the mainstream media has essentially dismissed the story.

"This is a moment of truth for Kristen Welker and NBC News, in which they are caught between doing their job or protecting Joe Biden,” Cornell Law School professor and media critic William A. Jacobson told Fox News.

The laptop, which was first reported by the New York Post, is reported to contain emails suggesting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden had knowledge of, and was allegedly involved in, his son’s foreign business dealings.

But the media has bent over backward to avoid the scandal, with Twitter and Facebook each coming under fire for censoring the Post bombshell and NPR even dismissed it as a waste of time.

The former vice president has snapped at the few reporters who dared to ask him about the scandal and CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and MSNBC have all taken heat for their lack of coverage. But millions of voters will be tuned in Thursday as Welker moderates the final presidential debate in Nashville, giving her a chance to force the issue with Biden.

“To avoid or downplay the Biden family influence-peddling scandal would both create additional claims of media bias and eliminate Welker as a serious journalist," Jacobson added.

Putin: Russia-China military alliance can't be ruled out

MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin says there is no need for a Russia-China military alliance now, but noted it could be forged in the future.

Putin's statement signaled deepening ties between Moscow and Beijing amid growing tensions in their relations with the United States. The Russian leader also made a strong call for extending the last remaining arms control pact between Moscow and Washington.

Asked during a video conference with international foreign policy experts Thursday if a military union between Moscow and Beijing was possible, Putin replied that “we don't need it, but, theoretically, it’s quite possible to imagine it.”

Russia and China have hailed their “strategic partnership,” but so far rejected any talk about the possibility of their forming a military alliance.

Putin pointed to the war games that the armed forces of China and Russia held as a signal of the countries' burgeoning military cooperation.

Putin also noted that Russia has shared sensitive military technologies that helped significantly boost China's military potential, but didn’t mention any specifics, saying the information was sensitive.

“Without any doubt, our cooperation with China is bolstering the defense capability of China's army," he said, adding that the future could see even closer military ties between the two countries.

“The time will show how it will develop, but we won't exclude it,” the Russian president said.

Russia has sought to develop stronger ties with China as its relations with the West sank to post-Cold War lows over Moscow's annexation of Ukraine's Crimea, accusations of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and other rifts.

Putin on Thursday emphasized the importance of extending the New START treaty that expires in February, Russia's last arms control pact with the United States.

Earlier this week, the United States and Russia signaled their readiness to accept compromises to salvage the New START treaty just two weeks ahead of the U.S. presidential election in which President Donald Trump faces a strong challenge from former Vice President Joe Biden, whose campaign has accused Trump of being soft on Russia.

New START was signed in 2010 by then-U.S. President Barack Obama and then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The pact limits each country to no more than 1,550 deployed nuclear warheads and 700 deployed missiles and bombers, and envisages sweeping on-site inspections to verify compliance.

An Ohio sheriff says he will help celebrities who want to leave the country if President Donald Trump is elected to a second term in November.

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones — a self-described Trump supporter — said Monday that he will help any celebrities out who plan on leaving the country if they don't get the electoral result that they want.

In a viral video, Jones says that he will donate money to celebrities for their airfare.

"Hell, I'll even help them pack," he adds.

He adds that those celebrities threatening to leave are "mostly" the same people who are anti-cop.

"These are mostly the same people who don't like police, that doesn't like first responders. I hope you do leave," he says. "Maybe you can make a better life there in that country."

A press release from the department preceded the video and said, "Sheriff Richard K. Jones states it's that time of election year again. Celebrities threatening to leave the United States if the President is re-elected. This happened in 2016 and it is believed not one celebrity left then and it appears the same threats are being made this election year."

The sheriff isn't wrong: musician Bruce Springsteen just last week threatened to leave the country if he didn't get what he wanted come November. US defense secretary signs agreement to honor existing commitment to Jewish state’s military superiority amid concerns over sale of F-35 fighter jets to UAE

Defense Minister Benny Gantz hailed an agreement signed with the Pentagon on Thursday to safeguard Israel’s military superiority in the region as representing a “major leap forward” for Israel’s security interests.

Gantz on Wednesday night traveled to Washington for meetings with US defense officials — notably Secretary of Defense Mark Esper — largely focused on Israeli concerns over a proposed sale of F-35 fighter jets and other advanced weaponry to the United Arab Emirates. Israel has expressed concerns over the potential impact this could have on Israel’s military superiority in the region, known formally as its qualitative military edge, which the US is legally obligated to maintain under a 2008 law.

Trump posts full '60 Minutes' interview showing him walking out

President Trump on Thursday posted his full interview with "60 Minutes" ahead of its scheduled air time in an apparent attempt to undercut the news program after he walked out on the interview, bristling at questioning from journalist Lesley Stahl.

The president posted the nearly 40-minute sit-down to his Facebook page with the caption: "Look at the bias, hatred and rudeness on behalf of 60 Minutes and CBS."

"Tonight’s anchor, Kristen Welker, is far worse!" Trump added, referencing the NBC News anchor who will moderate the presidential debate in Nashville, Tenn.

Trump abruptly ended the interview with Stahl before a scheduled walk-and-talk with the president and Vice President Pence.

During the interview, he bemoans that Stahl opened the interview by asking if he was ready for "tough questions," calling it "no way to talk." He complains repeatedly that Stahl did not ask tough questions to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, to which Stahl responds that she did not interview Biden. Trump corrects himself to say "the interview" with Biden.

"I think we have enough. We have enough," Trump says in the clip, moving to end the interview.

"I think we’re ready for the vice president now," a production assistant says off camera.

"OK, that’s enough. Let’s go," Trump says.

CBS News said earlier this week that the White House agreed that they would tape the interview “for archival purposes only.”

“The White House’s unprecedented decision to disregard their agreement with CBS News and release their footage will not deter 60 MINUTES from providing its full, fair and contextual reporting which presidents have participated in for decades,” CBS News said in a statement after Trump posted the interview.

“60 MINUTES, the most-watched news program on television, is widely respected for bringing its hallmark fairness, deep reporting and informative context to viewers each week. Few journalists have the presidential interview experience Lesley Stahl has delivered over her decades as one of the premier correspondents in America and we look forward to audiences seeing her third interview with President Trump and subsequent interview with Vice President Pence this weekend,” the statement read.

The interview will air Sunday alongside another with Biden, who was interviewed by correspondent Norah O’Donnell earlier this week.

The interview is combative throughout, with Stahl often interjecting to point out basic facts and question Trump on some of his claims and rhetoric.

“We can’t put on things we can’t verify,” Stahl tells the president after he repeats his unproven claim that the Obama administration spied on his campaign.

Nigerian Protesters Are 'Liberating' Prisons As Police Respond With Live Fire

Unrest and violence are continuing to escalate in the Nigerian capital of Lagos after at least two weeks of angry street demonstrations calling for the abolishment of the elite police Special Anti-Robbery Squad, known as SARS, over allegations they torture and abuse citizens - resulting in live fire being used against protesters this week.

It appears there's an attempt at a mass prison break underway Thursday, as detailed by AFP:

Shots rang out and a prison was set ablaze as fresh unrest rocked Nigeria's biggest city Lagos on Thursday after the shooting of protesters that drew international outrage.

Gunfire was heard and smoke could be seen billowing from the detention facility in the upscale Ikoyi neighbourhood in central Lagos, an AFP journalist said.

Police said assailants had attacked the site on the second day of violence in the city of 20 million people after a brutal crackdown by security forces on demonstrations.

Anti-police demonstrations have raged since Oct.8 across various cities, resulting in the deaths of 56 people and injuring of hundreds more.

Beginning Tuesday there were international reports that Nigerian soldiers, who have since imposed a blanket security curfew over Lagos and other places, have begun firing on protesters. Amnesty International said 12 protesters were gunned down early this week, allegedly by state security forces.

In an incident Wednesday at least two people were shot amid a crowd of some 1,000 demonstrators, one of which reportedly died at the scene. But the military has meanwhile blamed "armed gangs" for the violence while calling the allegations "fake news".

No doubt the commission will use this as an opportunity to mute Trump’s mic when he brings up Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell and how “Pop” Joe Biden made 10%-50% of Hunter’s salary like a ruthless “Don.”

Biden’s campaign spox released a statement ahead of tonight’s debate in an effort to do some damage control because Biden is going to get buried by Trump.

FBI Continues to Assert Text Messages are not Subject to FOIA

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for text messages between FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former FBI officials Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, Jennifer Leonard, and/or former Obama White House Deputy Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Lisa Monaco (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:20-cv-02995)).

Judicial Watch submitted its FOIA request on February 16, 2018, to the FBI. It sought text messages sent from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2015, between FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Lisa Page, Jennifer Leonard, Peter Strzok, and/or Lisa Monaco. In response, the FBI denied the request, asserting that text messages are not subject to FOIA.

Judicial Watch challenged the FBI’s determination. It filed an administrative appeal with the Department of Justice arguing that “text messages involving government-related business sent between government officials, whom all of the persons identified in the scope of the request are, do in fact constitute government records that fall within the purview of FOIA.” In response, the Justice Department’s Office of Information Policy remanded Judicial Watch’s request for “further review” but the FBI ignored the directive and continues to withhold any text messages. Judicial Watch sued on October 19 after the FBI failed to respond to the remanded request.

In July, a federal court rejected the FBI’s request to dismiss a separate Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit filed on behalf of Jeffrey A. Danik, a retired FBI supervisory special agent, for emails and text messages of former-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. On October 15, the FBI turned over several pages of almost completely redacted McCabe text messages while denying the texts are subject to FOIA.

“The Wray FBI asserts, contrary to DOJ policy, it can delete and keep secret all of text messages – including those by the corrupt cadre responsible for the illicit spying on President Trump,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The court should quickly order the FBI to preserve and produce text messages as FOIA requires.”

Last month, Judicial Watch uncovered that senior members of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel’s Office (SCO) repeatedly and “accidentally” wiped over 20 phones assigned to them.

Liberal pundit Hallie Jackson could not contain her disdain for the president as she attempted to conduct the interview.

But on Thursday, a Ninth Circuit panel found Breyer failed to establish Alahaggagi intended to influence or retaliate against a government when he the opened social media accounts. Those are perquisites for applying a terrorism enhancement that can more than double a defendant’s prison sentence.

“The district court did not make sufficient factual findings concerning Alhaggagi’s knowledge of how the accounts he opened were to be used,” U.S. Circuit Judge Milan Smith, a George W. Bush appointee, wrote for the majority.

The panel remanded the case to Breyer’s court for reconsideration of whether a terrorism enhancement applies.

U.S. District Judge David Ezra, a Ronald Reagan appointee sitting on the panel by designation from the Eastern District of Hawaii, joined Smith in the majority opinion.

Breyer had rejected a probation office’s recommendation of a four-year prison sentence and three-year probation term, based on its finding that the terrorism enhancement did not apply. The prosecution pushed for a 33-year prison sentence and lifetime probation, arguing that Alhaggagi poses a danger to society.

Alhaggagi’s lawyers argued the defendant was simply a naïve young man who spun tall tales in online chat rooms to make himself look tough and said outlandish things about plotting terror attacks to shock people with no intention of following through.

The Government in the Sunshine Act

The Government in the Sunshine Act is a federal law passed in 1976 to amend the Freedom of Information Act and increase transparency in the federal government.[1] It clarified Exemption 3 of FOIA (5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(3).), which dealt with information that could be withheld from publication.[2

Background

The Freedom of Information Act was passed in 1966. In the 1970s, the Panama Papers and Watergate scandals prompted greater public interest in government transparency. President Gerald Ford signed the Government in the Sunshine Act into law on September 13, 1976.[3]

Provisions

Open Meetings

The act requires that "every portion of every meeting of an agency shall be open to public observation." It defines a meeting as any gathering of enough members of an agency required to take action. Its following section includes ten exceptions to the publication rule.

Exceptions to Open Meetings Requirement

Agencies can hold closed meetings or withhold records if the subjects discussed therein:[1]

Fall under an executive order related to national defense or foreign policy

"relate solely to the internal personnel rules and practices of an agency"

Have been exempted from public release by another law

Disclose trade or financial secrets

Involve criminal accusations against anyone

"disclose information of a personal nature where disclosure would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy"

"disclose investigatory records compiled for law enforcement purposes"

Would threaten the stability of financial markets if released

Would "be likely to significantly frustrate implementation of a proposed agency action"

Would hamper the proceedings of a civil action in a domestic or foreign court

The act applies only to federal agencies headed by a board or commission, not to those with an individual leader. It does not apply to meetings involving fewer members than the quorum. Members can also use written communications to discuss matters and reach decisions (notational voting) to avoid the act's publication requirements.

Public Announcement of Meetings

The act also required an agency to announce their meetings to the public at least one week prior to their scheduled date. These announcements had to contain the time, place, subject matter, and whether the meeting was open or closed to the public, and would appear in the Federal Register. Any changes required a further public announcement.[1
