76 politicians, 178 celebrities and 7 sports stars: the scale of VIP child sex abuse inquiry

Some 261 celebrities and politicians, including sports, TV and music stars, are being investigated for alleged child sex abuse, police have revealed.

They are among more than 1,400 men suspected by police of being sex predators as the Home Secretary warned it is only the “tip of the iceberg”.

The rogues gallery includes 135 TV, film and radio stars, 43 musicians and seven sports figures as well as 76 politicians, the officer in charge of the issue has disclosed.

Hundreds of schools, religious institutions, children's homes and sports clubs are also implicated.

Chief Constable Simon Bailey said reports of child sex abuse were increasing on a daily basis and expected police to receive some 116,000 allegations before the end of this year.

The surge is partly a result of the Jimmy Savile scandal in 2012 and Mr Bailey warned victims will run “in to the thousands”.

He said superfast internet connections, such as 4G, are making it easier for perverts to groom children online and feared hundreds of thousands of youngsters have already been targeted.

The figures, from the new police coordinating hub Operation Hydrant, reveal for the first time the massive scale of inquiries in to historic and current sex abuse cases.

Speaking separately, Theresa May, the Home Secretary, told rank and file officers that the picture was the “tip of the iceberg”.

Mr Bailey, the head of Norfolk Police and lead on child sex abuse for the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC), said the scale of child abuse was “stark".

"The referrals are increasing on an almost daily basis so the numbers I refer to today are a snap shot in time,” he said.

He said the figures suggested more sex abuse was being perpetrated.

Officers have identified 357 different institutions linked to the alleged abuse, including 154 schools, 75 children's homes, 40 religious institutions and nine prisons.

Forces have had to shift resources from other departments to focus on historic sex crimes.

Several celebrities have been convicted for historic sex abuse, including children's entertainer Rolf Harris, 85, and PR guru Max Clifford, 72.

But public confidence in the Crown Prosecution Service's (CPS) willingness to prosecute VIPs was shaken when it announced that it would not prosecute Labour peer Lord Greville Janner, 86, despite having enough evidence, because he has dementia.

Mr Bailey also warned the arrival of superfast internet is likely to see "more and more" abuse of youngsters, including the live-streaming of abuse on the internet.He said predators have attempted to groom hundreds of thousands of children in Britain through internet sites and chat rooms.

"We assess there might be 50,000 people who are viewing indecent images of children online,” he said.

Speaking at the Police Federation annual conference in Bournemouth, Mrs May said: “We will need to face up to the changing nature of crime and the impact on police forces, including the much greater reporting of previously ignored or under-reported crimes such as child sexual abuse.

"I have said before that what we are seeing is only the tip of the iceberg.

"So let me be clear, I am committed to ensuring the police have the resources they need to investigate these appalling crimes and bring perpetrators to justice."

But Jon Brown, the lead on tackling sexual abuse at the NSPCC charity said: "There is not enough provision, and as far as adult survivors of abuse are concerned it is extremely patchy.”

WASHINGTON – Former President Barack Obama criticized President Donald Trump on Friday for attempting to stall funding for the U.S. Postal Service, a move that Obama said "is unheard of."

In a podcast with former campaign manager David Plouffe, Obama directly criticized the Trump administration for what is happening at the USPS.

"What we've seen in a way that is unique to modern political history is a president who is explicit in trying to discourage people from voting," Obama said. "What we've never seen before is a president say, 'I'm going to try to actively kneecap the Postal Service to encourage voting and I will be explicit about the reason I'm doing it.'"

Obama added: "That's sort of unheard of, right? And we also have not had an election in the midst of a pandemic that is still deadly and killing a lot of people and we still don't know the long-term side effects of contracting the illness.”

The 44th president is referencing ongoing negotiations between Democrats and the White House on the latest coronavirus relief legislation on Capitol Hill.

Trump has offered conflicting statements about whether he opposes supplementary funding for the USPS, which has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.

The president has suggested that a deal isn't going to happen and pointed a finger at Democrats for demanding $3.5 billion for mail-in voting, which he argued would perpetuate voter fraud, and for pushing for an additional $25 billion for the Postal Service.

Trump has repeatedly railed against mail-in ballots heading toward November, calling them, with scant evidence, unsafe and untrustworthy, as COVID-19 forces many Americans to stay home and vote by mail.

Additionally, Louis DeJoy, who was named postmaster general in May by the the Postal Service’s board of governors, who are appointed by the president, has been mired in controversy following sweeping changes at the agency.

DeJoy was a significant major Republican and Trump donor. Some of the changes implemented at the Postal Service include eliminating overtime, dramatically restructuring the organization and removing or reassigning nearly two dozen agency leaders. It was also reported that the ⁦USPS is removing some mail sorting machines, which would sort mail-in ballots, from its facilities around the country.

Some of these changes have caused significant mail delays in parts of the country, raising alarms that the anticipated influx of mail-in voting in November may be impacted.

Obama also said that Trump is "throwing in this additional monkey wrench trying to starve the Postal Service."

"My question is what are Republicans doing where you are so scared of people voting that you are now willing to undermine what is part of the basic infrastructure of American life?" Obama said.

"Sen. Lindsey Graham revealed on Friday that Bill Priestap, the FBI's former head of counterintelligence, is the official he claims gave misleading

information to the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2018 about the reliability of British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier.

The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee told former Rep. Trey Gowdy, sitting in for Sean Hannity on his Fox News show, that he learned

the name from FBI Director Christopher Wray, and will hand over whatever information he gets to U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is conducting

a criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation. Priestap was a key leader in the FBI's Trump-Russia investigation, code-named Crossfire Hurricane.

"This is a big day for transparency and the rule of law. So [DOJ Inspector General Michael] Horowitz

that was prepared by the FBI because the Senate Intel Committee …

He's one of the leaders of Crossfire Hurricane. A year after the subsource told the FBI in 2017 there is zero corroboration for the dossier,

I wouldn't trust it with a solid grain of salt, hearsay, bar talk. They knew for over a year, and now, you've got Bill Priestap on Feb. 15, 2018,

with four other people from the FBI briefing this Senate Intel Committee, completely whitewashing the truth about the reliability of the dossier,"

the South Carolina Republican added. "Now, Director Wray has been really good, he's given me the information, more is going to follow,

but what I'm going to do with this is turn it over to Durham because I think the briefing in 2018, a year after the subsource told the FBI the dossier

was a bunch of garbage, whitewashing that report to the Senate Intel Committee is potentially another crime.

So, I'm going to send all of this to Durham when I get it."

The announcement came hours after it was revealed that former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith intended to plead guilty to making a false statement

in the first criminal case coming from Durham's investigation. This relates to Clinesmith allegedly altering a CIA email to make it state that

Carter Page was “not a source” for the CIA as the FBI sought renewed Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court permission to wiretap the former

Trump campaign associate secretly, first described in a report by the Justice Department's inspector general.

The FBI's warrant applications in this matter relied, in part, on Steele’s now-discredited dossier.

USPS warned 46 states that it can't guarantee that all mail-in-ballots would arrive on time to be counted

The US Postal Service sent notices to 46 states and Washington, DC, warning that they may not be able to deliver mail-in-ballots in time to be counted in the November elections, The Washington Post reported.

That means millions of voters could have their vote not counted through no fault of their own.

On Thursday, Pennsylvania's Department of State has asked the state Supreme Court to allow for mailed-in ballots to be counted if they're received up to three days after Election Day.

At least 65,000 absentee or mail-in ballots had been rejected in US primary elections this year for arriving past the deadline, NPR reported.

The US Postal Service sent notices to 46 states and Washington, DC, warning that they may not be able to deliver mail-in-ballots in the November election in time to be counted, potentially disenfranchising voters, The Washington Post reported.

Millions of voters who could vote by mail could follow all the rules to send in their ballots, but USPS may still be unable to deliver their ballot in time for it to be tallied.

In six states and DC, the warning is only for a small number of voters, but in 40 of the states, including key states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Florida, the delays could impact a large number of mail-in-ballots, since these states have tight election deadlines.

If we have mail-in voting we must have a way to verify and validate every vote is counted accurately. If we are setting new voting policy we must have proper controls in place for vote verification. In my view we must have a mandatory vote validation policy in place before the election. We have already had problems with voter machine validation in the past. How can we trust our elections otherwise?

Daly informed fellow employees that CCTV had hired Ogilvy, noting the CCP-funded outlet would pay the firm $15,000 monthly for three months.

“China Central Television is the national television station of the People’s Republic of China. CCTV America is the bureau located in Washington DC.

CCTV falls under the supervision of the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television which is in turn subordinate to the State Council of the People’s Republic Of China,” the FARA registration noted, placing Daly on the payroll of the Chinese Communist Party.

Daly served as Communications Director to Pelosi for nearly a decade, from 2002 to 2011. He bills himself as “instrumental in orchestrating Pelosi’s rise from House Minority Whip to House Minority Leader,” noting he “worked closely with external coalitions on communications activities and events to advance Democratic agenda” and “earned the trust and respect of the Speaker and entire House leadership.” He even donated $1,000 to the Pelosi campaign in 2001, as one of his FARA forms reveals.

He is now the Chief Communications Officer for the Recording Industry Association of America, which represents many top record labels such as Warner Music Group, which Tencent, a Chinese Communist Party linked tech company whose platform WeChat is set to be banned by the Trump administration, recently acquired a $200 million stake in.

This unearthed connection follows Pelosi’s insistence that she is the “most unliked American in China” – a far cry from reality in light of the revolving door between her staffers and the Chinese Communist Party. Trump: ‘A lot of people’ think Edward Snowden ‘not being treated fairly’

President Trump polled his aides on Thursday about whether he should let anti-surveillance whistleblower and leaker Edward Snowden return to the US from Russia without going to prison, saying he was open to it.

“There are a lot of people that think that he is not being treated fairly. I mean, I hear that,” Trump told The Post in an exclusive interview in the Oval Office, before soliciting views from his staff.

Trump commented on Snowden for the first time as president after accusing former President Barack Obama of spying on his 2016 campaign.

“When you look at [former FBI Director James] Comey and [former FBI Deputy Director Andrew] McCabe, and [former CIA Director John] Brennan — and, excuse me, the man that sat at this desk, President Obama, got caught spying on my campaign with Biden. Biden and Obama, and they got caught spying on the campaign,” Trump said.

Trump’s comments reflect a remarkable softening in his views about the man he once deemed a “traitor” worthy of execution. Republican lawmakers and the Justice Department’s inspector general recently highlighted misuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and the secret FISA court to surveil former Trump adviser Carter Page.

“Snowden is one of the people they talk about. They talk about numerous people, but he is certainly one of the people that they do talk about,” Trump said on Thursday, before turning to his aides. “I guess the DOJ is looking to extradite him right now? … It’s certainly something I could look at. Many people are on his side, I will say that. I don’t know him, never met him. But many people are on his side.”

The president then asked his staff: “How do you feel about that, Snowden? Haven’t heard the name in a long time.”

After polling the room, Trump added: “I’ve heard it both ways. From traitor to he’s being, you know, persecuted. I’ve heard it both ways.”

Snowden’s legal team has tried in vain to negotiate a prison-free return to the US for the former National Security Agency contractor, who exposed the fact that the FISA court was secretly approving the dragnet collection of domestic call records.

Before taking office, Trump tweeted at least 45 times denouncing Snowden as a traitor and calling for his execution.

In a 2013 tweet, Trump wrote: “Snowden is a spy who should be executed-but if it and he could reveal Obama’s records, I might become a major fan.”

A number of restaurants near Pittsburgh were planning on reopening at full capacity on Friday, despite the order from Harrisburg that they capped the number of customers inside at 25 percent.

Pedophile Cop Arrested for Running Child Porn Network While Patrolling the Streets

Elmore, OH — Residents of Elmore, Ohio likely felt secure when they saw the police vehicle belonging to Elmore police officer Samuel Kurp drive through their neighborhoods. They likely felt “protected” and “safe” as Kurp crept down their streets. However, they won’t feel so protected and safe anymore now that this alleged pedophile cop was arrested for distributing child pornography whilst on the job.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who headed up the arrest, on August 4, 2020, a referral was forwarded by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to the Oregon Police Department who then forwarded the cyber tip to the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.

The cyber tip indicated an individual had been utilizing a social media messenger app to upload and/or send to another user or group of users 26 videos or image files of child sexual abuse material, the FBI said.

Investigators determined the IP addresses being used to send and receive the child sexual abuse material, also known as child pornography, belonged to officer Kurp, who lives in Oregon, Ohio. When the FBI looked into Kurp, they discovered he was a police officer.

Two federal search warrants were executed on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, and officials arrested the alleged pedophile shortly after. When the FBI reached out to Kurp’s department, they determined that the images and videos distributed by Kurp were sent when the officer was on patrol.

On Tuesday, Kurp was taken into custody today by members of the FBI’s Toledo Resident Agency’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force without incident.

According to a statement from the Elmore Police Department, after he was arrested, Kurp resigned his position.

‘British FBI’ Makes 16 New Grooming Gang Arrests in Rotherham and Leeds

Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) has made sixteen new grooming gang arrests in Rotherham and Leeds as part of an investigation into historic sex crimes.

The NCA, roughly equivalent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States, announced that ten people aged between 35 and 53 had been arrested in Rotherham “on suspicion of offences relating to the abuse of girls who would have been between aged between 11 and 16 at the time [of the abuse].”

This followed the arrest of five men in Rotherham and Leeds between July 28th and July 30th, with another suspect being detained last week — all as part of the Operation Stovewood investigation into grooming offences which took place between 1997 and 2013, launched in response to the Alex Jay inquiry into the mismanagement of such crimes by the authorities.

The NCA said that “around 150 people have now been arrested as part of Operation Stovewood” and that “Jail terms of almost 250 years have been handed down to the 20 people convicted so far” — although this is somewhat misleading, given 250 years averages just 12.5 years across 20 people, and criminals in Britain are in any case typically released early on licence automatically at the halfway point or, more rarely, the tw0-thirds point in their sentences.

Two large states are now reporting significant numbers of noncitizens somehow became registered voters, showing yet again that the biggest problem with voter-integrity measures is not that they are too tough, but that they are too lenient.

Last week, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that Secretary of State David Whitley had informed him that as many as 95,000 noncitizens were on Texas’ voter rolls, and that at least 58,000 of them actually had voted at least once. Even if the number turns out to be considerably less than that when counties investigate, it's far above zero.

On Jan. 30, reports emerged that at least 11,198 noncitizens similarly were on the voter rolls in Pennsylvania, and “top lawmakers suspect the number could still be higher.”This is just the first tranche of numbers from an investigation launched when a Philadelphia poll commissioner estimated that some 100,000 noncitizens could be registered, after discovering that a computer problem in the state’s motor vehicle bureaus allowed ineligible voters to register.

The Pennsylvania investigation was catalyzed by a voter-integrity group called the Public Interest Legal Foundation, which filed suit in both state and federal courts to try to force these problems to be addressed.

“State officials have been hiding how they blew it and allowed aliens onto voter rolls in Pennsylvania,” said J. Christian Adams,president and general counsel of PILF, an interview with the Washington Examiner. “It’s been going on for 20 years, and they need to release all of the records.”

Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Heritage Foundation's Election Law Reform Initiative and a former member of the Federal Election Commission, agreed.

“This is just more evidence of the vulnerability of our current registration and election system andit refutes the constant claim by liberals and the mainstream media that there is no voter fraud in this country,” he told the Washington Examiner. “These 11,000 noncitizens represent a huge number of illegal voters who could (and may have) changed outcomes in close elections. We need assurance from Pennsylvania officials that not only have these noncitizens been removed from voter rolls, but that their files have been turned over to law enforcement for investigation and possible prosecution.”

PILF also has filed suit in Texas. For those many on the left who say voter fraud is virtually nonexistent, the Texas example refutes their claim. Paxton noted that his office had “obtained a number of successful noncitizen voter fraud convictions,” and he mentioned by name recent cases involving defendants named Rosa Ortega in Tarrant County, Laura Garza in Montgomery County, and Marites Curry in Navarro County.

This is serious stuff. Every vote cast illegally effectively negates a ballot cast for a different candidate by a legal voter. For those worried about “voter suppression,”this is the real suppression, and it ought to be countered by every legal means.

Ramped-Up Counternarcotics Op Has Denied Drug Traffickers $2.5 Billion, Navy Says

Ordinarily, patrolling the waters near Central and South America for drug traffickers is a job largely left to the U.S. Coast Guard. But since April 1 of this year, the U.S. Navy has surged assets to the region to assist with the mission – and helped reel in more than $2.5 billion worth of contraband to date.

The operation has gotten presidential attention and is ongoing, with the Navy destroyer Pinckney publicizing a recent major bust this week. The Pinckney, homeported in San Diego, executed a seizure with an embarked Coast Guard law enforcement detachment July 24, seizing more than 120 kilograms, or 265 pounds, of suspected cocaine from a single ship. In total, the haul was worth some $4.5 million.

"While on routine patrol, approximately 200 nautical miles southwest of Jamaica, a helicopter assigned to the 'Wolf Pack' of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 75 located the vessel and Pinckney soon arrived on scene," Navy officials said in a release. "After coordination with the Government of Colombia and Colombian Navy, the vessel was searched and six suspected drug smugglers detained. The mariners are now in Government of Colombia custody."

The crew of the Pinckney also secured medical evacuation for one detainee for whom treatment was deemed necessary for survival.

Heads of U.S. Southern Command have long expressed their wish for more U.S. Navy assets in the region to stop a drug trade tied to tens of thousands of U.S. deaths every year. Under the enhanced counternarcotics mission, those ships and aircraft are in place, at least for now.

Top officials say the $90 billion drug trade, which thrives in unstable regions, has taken advantage of the added instability of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

"Since the end of March, we have employed, in the U.S. Southern Command Area of Responsibility, 75% more surveillance aircraft and 65% more ships than normal for drug interdiction," Defense Secretary Mark Esper said in a July 10 news conference from Doral, Florida. "These additional assets include four Navy destroyers, five Coast Guard cutters, and eight aircraft. Currently, nearly a dozen Navy and Coast Guard ships and over 15 aircraft from across the interagency are supporting our efforts, in addition to security forces deployed to the region."

Brookings is home to lots of Beltway power players: Ben Bernanke and Janet Yellen, former chairmen of the Federal Reserve, are Brookings fellows. Top officials from both Republican and Democrat presidential administrations lend political heft to the organization.

The partnership raises questions about potential Chinese espionage activities at the think tank, which employs numerous former government officials and nearly two dozen current foreign policy advisers to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

It is really frightening that one of two major political parties in the US is tied so closely with the Brookings Institute. It is even more frightening that foreign enemies of the United States are connected to this entity as well.

The premier left-wing group that works to reduce the influence of money and special interests in politics just gave a six-figure boost to Rep. Kendra Horn (D., Okla.), who once advocated against money in politics but now benefits from large checks from Wall Street executives.

The End Citizens United PAC poured $400,000 into an advertising blitz backing Horn, filings submitted to the Federal Election Commission on Thursday show. The media buy is the group's first 2020 foray into Oklahoma's Fifth Congressional District race, which is slated to become one of the most competitive in the country this November.

End Citizens United first endorsed Horn in 2018, when she pushed for sweeping campaign finance and ethics reform. The ad buy shows the group is still supporting her campaign, even though she's now benefiting from donations she vowed to combat.

Wealthy individuals who represent big monied interests are now giving large sums to Horn's reelection efforts. The House Victory Project, for example, a joint fundraising committee created and primarily funded by Wall Street executives to inject large sums into key House races, transferred $255,000 to Horn's campaign this cycle.

Horn did not receive cash from the House Victory Project in 2018. The transfer is the largest the campaign has received this cycle. It is not, however, the only sizable transfer from a committee fueled by donors that she once shunned.

The freshman Democrat also received $38,000 from the Hold the House Victory Fund, a joint fundraiser between the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and 30 Democratic candidates. It is heavily bankrolled by deep-pocketed liberal donors who each have given up to $350,000 for its 2020 efforts.

“Warren will play a big role in laying out an economic agenda with a focus on the working class and middle class,” Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), former co-chair of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) campaign, stated.

“Whether from the senator or from the administration, she has the brilliance to help shape policy,” Khanna added.

Greenbrier Bunker

One of the great vestiges of the Cold War is the Greenbrier bunker, a facility built to house all 535 members of Congress in the event of a nuclear attack. In 1955, Dwight D. Eisenhower instructed the Department of Defense to draft emergency plans for Congress in case of a nuclear strike. Even if Washington, DC was destroyed, American officials needed a procedure to maintain the continuity of government. As part of these efforts, the Army Corps of Engineers was charged with scouting the location of a nuclear bunker for the members of Congress. They ultimately selected the Greenbrier, a luxury resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.

Greenbrier was chosen because of its location—relatively close and accessible to Washington, but far enough away to be safe from an atomic bomb—and because of its prior relationship with the United States government. During World War II, Greenbrier had served as an internment facility for Japanese, Italian, and German diplomats and then as a military hospital, where Eisenhower himself was at one time a patient. Although it returned to its original function as a hotel after the war, government officials occasionally held conferences at Greenbrier.

Construction on the bunker began in 1957. Government officials tried to hide the secret project by announcing the construction of Greenbrier’s “West Virginia Wing.” Construction workers and locals were suspicious, however, particularly about the sheer volume of concrete that was poured for the project. As construction worker Randy Wickline recalled, “Nobody came out and said it was a bomb shelter, but…they weren’t building it to keep the rain off them. I mean a fool would have known.” Truman Wright, the manager of the Greenbrier resort from 1951-1974, likewise remembered a contractor asking, “This is an exhibit hall? We’ve got 110 urinals we just installed. What in the hell are you going to exhibit?”

The $14 million project was completed on October 16, 1962, just before the start of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Originally codenamed Project X, the bunker was also known as Project Caspar and, during the 1980s, as Project Greek Island.

Before ascending to the tippy-top of presidential politics, she knew how to “suck up” to the right people in order to climb the “greasy pole” of Willie Brown’s Democratic machine in the deeply cut-throat world of San Francisco politics, all while finding the time to occasionally relax and “smoke the pipe” of marijuana.

Kamala Harris truly offers a gold-mine of material for her political opposition. So far, Republican attacks on Kamala Harris have been all over the place. Here’s where they should begin.

Harris is a dangerous charlatan who worked her way to the top as an immigrant daughter of privilege who took advantage of affirmative action programs reserved for black American descendants of slaves before becoming the mistress of a top San Francisco politician who appointed her to a plum position at a government make-work job. Now, she is on the brink of taking her “ditzy floozy turned ruthless prosecutor” act to the highest office in the land, as the willing figurehead of a totalitarian power-grab by the anti-white, communist left.

Kamala’s life begins with what is, essentially, stolen valor against black Americans. Harris’s father was a Stanford economics professor from Jamaica. Her mother was a privileged Brahmin from India and a PhD-holding cancer researcher.

By any objective measure, Harris was a child of privilege in America. Inexplicably, her career was kick-started by affirmative action. An article from UC-Hastings Law describes Harris as the direct beneficiary of a program intended for the “disadvantaged.”

Despite being an affirmative-action graduate of a low-ranked law school, Harris enjoyed a meteoric career trajectory thanks to her relationship as the floozy girlfriend of a married man. According to USA Today, former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown would often travel to parties with his wife on one hand and a girlfriend on the other.

Truly, San Francisco serves as a shining beacon of tolerant and progressive morality that enlightens the conscience of America.

In 1994, when Brown was 60 and Harris was 29, Brown appointed Harris to the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, which paid $97,000 a year ($170,000 in today’s dollars). Just six months later, Harris left that job when Brown appointed her to the California Medical Assistance Commission. That job paid a mere $72,000 a year ($126,000 in today’s dollars), but it was a patronage position that required barely any work.
