Deep State House Panel Votes to Prevent Trump’s Germany Withdrawal

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Armed Services Committee approved a bipartisan amendment seeking to constrain President Donald Trump’s ability to withdraw US troops from Germany. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) amendment, offered by Reps. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) and Don Bacon (R-Neb.), would block funding to reduce the number of troops in Germany and Europe at large until several certifications are made, The Hill reported. It was approved in a bipartisan, 49-7 vote.

RevContent InArticle SOLO

“At this time, we can’t afford to reduce our presence in Europe,” Gallego said, adding, “Russia is a major threat to our country and to the free world.”

President Trump last month announced that he planned to reduce the US troop presence in Germany from 34,500 to 25,000. Trump has cast the move as a response to Germany not meeting NATO’s goal of spending at least 2 percent of its gross domestic product on defense.

Trump on Monday approved the plan to fulfill that order after being briefed by Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley on options, the Pentagon announced on Tuesday.

“The proposal that was approved not only meets the president’s directive, it will also enhance Russian deterrence, strengthen NATO, reassure allies, improve US strategic flexibility and US European Command’s operational flexibility, and take care of our service members and their families,” Chief Pentagon Spokesman Jonathan Hoffman announced in a statement.

The statement did not say when the troops are leaving or where they are going, but Trump has indicated some will go to Poland and some will return to the US National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien has also argued in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that forces are needed in the Indo-Pacific region.

Trump’s decision to pull troops out of Germany sparked a bipartisan backlash from the Deep State lawmakers who say the troops are necessary to act as a buttress against the fictitious Russian aggression, foster US relationships with its vassals, and coordinate US military invasions globally. Germany is home to the headquarters for US European and Africa commands.

Gold, Silver, the FED, COVID

1/2

anon’s been keeping an eye on the precious metals stuff, as GOLD SHALL DESTROY THE FED. found some interesting stuff, starting with info at gold bug’s Eric Sprott’s website.

From the end of March,The CME Opens Pandora's Box

-	In the end, the CME may have unwittingly sealed the fate of their pricing scheme last week by rushing to make COMEX a physical delivery facility. While the exchange is likely to survive April, the months of May and June will likely pose a significant challenge. Only a quick containment of the coronavirus may assuage their crisis. If the mines, mints, and refineries can re-open in the next 45-60 days, perhaps the fractional reserve bullion banking system will be salvaged. If not? Well, let's just say that gold investors and stackers are in for a VERY interesting summer.

https://www.sprottmoney.com/Blog/the-cme-opens-pandoras-box-craig-hemke.html

Most recently from end-June,Extreme COMEX Delivery Demand Continues

-	Due to this near failure [see March sauce above], the CME Group and the LBMA rushed to turn the COMEX futures market into aphysical delivery vehiclein a desperate attempt to restore legitimacy to the derivative-only trading that takes place there. Remember, without underlying physical delivery, a commodity futures market might as well be trading baseball cards. Some physical delivery MUST be made at the futures contract price, otherwise the price discovered through futures trading is utterly illegitimate and fraudulent.

-	Three months later, it's clear that the CME has indeed opened "Pandora's box" and theBullion Banksthat operate on COMEXare desperately trying to hold the entire pricing scheme together.

-	The weight of all this delivery demand may eventually lead to a force majeure-style failure, but that's very likely not coming this month or next. The CME, the LBMA, and The Banks will work to protect their pricing scheme until the very last moment, so it would be foolish to think they're going to meet a quick end.

-	However, their fate was sealed in late March, and like a dying animal, thespasms of their death throesare clearly visible...if you know where to look.

In Eric Sprott’s latest weekly wrap up radiocast, he mentions a suspicion thatsome groupknows there is a physical shortage of precious metals, and so is demanding delivery on these COMEX contracts [white hats?] as a means to get physical gold and silver.

Gold, Silver, the FED, COVID

2/2

Interdasting interview with veteran GOLD WHISPERER Jim Sinclair. Sinclair has accurately predicted previous major peaks in the price of gold by using simple balance sheet math: take the amount of US debt, divide it by the # of ounces of gold the US has, and this gives you the true value of gold in US dollars (in reality, it’s the other way around). Sinclair says this works out to a future minimum of $50K / oz Au, with the true value at $87.5K / oz Au.

Moar interestingly, Sinclair states thatCOVID 19’s arrival was at the perfect time to stall the monetary collapse crisis that was in progress (repo market & Euro/Dollar), magnitudes worse than 2007/2008/2009.Shutting down economies killed the demand for loans / money, which kept shortly term interest rates from rising dramatically. (first 5 min of vid or so)

Mentions switch from monetary stimulus (banks get $$$) v. fiscal stimulus (infrastructure bill, companies / workers get $$$) as part of solution.

Mentions “type of merger” between Treasury & The FED that’s taken place (~13:30)

Trump, master of bankruptcy, will be overseeing the largest bankruptcy in the history of the world (global debt, ~20:45)

Global bankruptcy will take place in a change in global currency system. (~35:20) Will involvegoldand two resets. 1st reset ~2022 involved new currency for central banks only, gold to $3,500 oz. 2nd reset happens around 2025 and lets market forces act on gold price gold skyrockets at some point.

https://usawatchdog.com/simple-math-says-50000-to-87500-gold-price-jim-sinclair/

Re: Sprottmoney.com stuff in Part 1 / 2, Sinclair saysthere are at least 300 paper oz contracts for every real ounce of gold, sometimes even 500:1.So if “someone” is buying up paper contracts and demanding physical delivery for gold and silver (per Sprottmoney articles sauce), it should crash the gold/silver price suppression systems and send these prices skyrocketing.

Wonder if the Trump Tower tweet on gold and silver are related? US has a lot of silver reserves.

This is kind of old but not that old.

7 Oregon counties will require face masks to be worn indoors beginning today

Updated: 1:19 PM PDT June 25, 2020

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown released further guidance on what the face mask mandate means for customers and businesses in the impacted counties.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Oregon Gov. Kate Brown last Friday released the full list of face mask requirements for businesses and customers in Clackamas, Hood River, Lincoln, Marion, Multnomah, Polk and Washington counties.

The rules go into effect for those seven counties on June 24, but any county that's not on the list can ask for the governor to apply these guidelines.

Face coverings will be mandatory in indoor businesses that are open to the public.

“As we learn more about COVID-19, evidence continues to mount that face coverings play a critical role in reducing transmission,” Brown said. “We have to live with this disease for a while. And that is going to require adjusting our habits––taking the simple step of covering our nose and mouth in spaces where we interact with others."

Wow! Former NFL player gives ‘bold and brave’ answer on ‘Black Lives Matter’ hardly anyone saw coming

Retired NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley may soon get a first-hand taste of just how intolerant the left is today, after the host of FOX Sports 1’s “Speak For Yourself” opted to explain why it’s a bad idea for the NBA to paint “Black Lives Matter” on the floor of basketball courts.

In an indication of just how much control prima donna millionaire players have in a league where better than 80% of the players are people of color — the demographics of season ticket holders is the flip side of that, with 85% being white — the NBA said this week social justice messages will be allowed on the backs of jerseys instead of the last names of players during the upcoming restart of the NBA season.

In addition, the NBA reportedly plans to paint “Black Lives Matter” on courts when the season resumes, and Wiley brilliantly articulated why that’s not a good idea.

“It’s not a good idea,” the former NFL player said. “I do want to give players credit for their flex to even get this to be more than an idea, but something that is going to be in reality. I give the players that.”

(Despite a progressive commissioner in Roger Goodell, who is determined to prove how “woke” he is, owners in the NFL still have some control in that league.)

“But there’s a problem when you start to go down this road of freedom of expression, freedom of speech, and how much social space is allowed for those who don’t support in that same space,” he said. “And that’s where I wonder where this is going to go in terms of identity politics.”

Without a trace of partisanship, Wiley explained the perils of slicing and dicing the American population.

“We know what identity politics does — it divides, and it polarizes,” he said. “No matter how you want to look at it, that’s just the effect of it, no matter how great the intentions are. We all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions.”

Wiley, an Ivy League sociology graduate from Columbia University, then displayed the very thing the left abhors: free thinking and discerning the truth for oneself.

“It’s an interesting play right here,” he continued. “I don’t know how many people really look into the mission statement of Black Lives Matter, but I did. And when you look into it, there’s a couple of things that jump out to me. And I’m a black man who has been black and my life has mattered since 1974. And this organization was founded in 2013 and I’m proud of you but I’ve been fighting this fight for me and for others a lot longer.”

“Two things: My family structure is so vitally important to me,” he said. “Not only the one I grew up in but the one I am trying to create right now. Being a father and a husband, that’s my mission in life right now. How do I reconcile that with this, the mission statement that says, ‘We dismantle the patriarchal practice. We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement.'”

The former athlete did a deep dive on the disadvantages of single-parent homes, and how so many children in those homes “found themselves outside of their dreams and goals and aspirations.”

“So when I see that as a mission statement for Black Lives Matter, it makes me scratch my head,” Wiley said.

As bad as that may be for the radical left movement, Wiley then committed what they consider the cardinal sin — he cast doubt on the whole white privilege narrative.

“When I also see their mission is to eradicate white supremacy — in 2020, white supremacy is the mission. That’s a lot of digging through minutiae right there,” he said. “I’m on a show that I’m hosting with another black guy who is hosting with me who replaced another black guy, and that’s just one example of it.”

“So, I understand, I respect your space. I respect what you’re protesting for. But will you respect others who don’t support that same protest?” Wiley asked.

Of course, we already know the answer to that question — not only is the answer no, it’s hell no.

Keystone XL breaks ground in Canada in bid to ward off U.S. veto

Construction on the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline has begun in Canada, and the premier of the nation’s top oil-producing province says the project’s momentum may make it difficult for a future U.S. administration to cancel it.

“We have taken a conscious risk to get construction started, to get facts on the ground,” Alberta Premier Jason Kenney said at a press conference to celebrate the start of the pipeline’s construction. “If there is a change of administration, there will have been very substantial progress” on building the line on both sides of the border.

While President Donald Trump supports Keystone XL, presumptive Democratic Nominee Joe Biden has said he would rescind the permits authorizing the project if elected. Biden is leading in many polls against Trump with five months before the U.S. presidential election.

Keystone XL, which would help carry more crude from Alberta’s oil sands to U.S. Gulf Coast refineries, is just beginning construction more than a decade after the project was first proposed. Former President Barack Obama rejected the pipeline on environmental grounds only to have Trump reverse that decision. In the meantime, the project has faced court battles and setbacks, including a federal judge’s ruling in April that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers improperly approved a streamlined permit process. Alberta’s government has made a US$1.1-billion investment in the project and is guaranteeing a US$4.2-billion loan to help finance construction. The project is strongly supported by Alberta’s oil industry, which has been hampered by a shortage of export pipelines.

Kenney’s government has pushed back against environmental groups that oppose pipelines and oil-sands development. He said on Friday that Alberta will open an office in Houston to promote the province’s interests and will reach out to labor unions and Democratic lawmakers who support Keystone XL. Kenney said he plans to speak with Biden’s transition team about the project if he’s elected.

It would be a “terrible blow to cancel a project in which billions of dollars have been invested,” he said.

Wikipedia:

After graduating from high school as the valedictorian, Herschel Walker played running back for the University of Georgia, where he was a three-time All-American (football and track) and winner of the 1982 Heisman Trophy and Maxwell Award. He is the only player in NCAA history to finish in the top three in Heisman voting in all three of his collegiate seasons. He is the first NCAA player who played only three years to finish in the top 10 in rushing yards and only player other than Jonathan Taylor. During his freshman season in 1980, Walker set the NCAA freshman rushing record (later broken by Jonathan Taylor) and finished third in Heisman voting. Walker was the first "true freshman" to become a first-team All-American.[11]

He played a major role in helping Georgia avoid defeat that year and win the national championship with a victory over Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.[12] He won the Heisman as a junior.[13] In 1999, Walker was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame and is considered one of college football's greatest players.[14]

Activists prepare to storm DC in Independence Day weekend protests

Protesters plan to storm Washington, D.C., over Independence Day weekend with protests and demonstrations. Activists in the most high profile of these events plan to protest the Emancipation Memorial in Lincoln Park. The memorial, which leaders of the local collective the Freedom Neighborhood claimed they would topple last week, has become a subject of national interest, with many people making a case both for and against the statue. Glenn Foster, the leader of the Freedom Neighborhood, has promoted multiple protests against the memorial set for the days surrounding the July 4 weekend. In some of his material, he celebrated the fact that on Tuesday the Boston Arts Commission voted to remove an identical copy of the statue, which depicts President Abraham Lincoln freeing the slave Archer Alexander, from public display. “The job is almost finished! Let’s get it D.C.!” Foster wrote in reference to his efforts to remove the memorial. The movement has received support from D.C. public officials. Shadow Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton on Thursday introduced legislation to have the statue removed from the park and placed in a museum. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said last week that she would be open to having a "reasonable conversation" about the statue’s future.

At the same time, the U.S. Park Police has kept up a fence surrounding the statue, which they say will remain in place until further notice. As of this writing, the fence is covered with many protest signs, as the fence surrounding the White House is, some explaining not only the racism present in the statue but, more broadly, the issue of systemic racism throughout the country. “Our justice starts with tearing down the symbols of our oppression and demanding that we will wait no longer for the government to give us our freedom,” one of the signs reads. Foster had an event planned for Thursday afternoon, but announced to his followers several hours before its start that it had been canceled “due to logistical issues on behalf of our enemy” — namely, the police. The Freedom Neighborhood plans to hold a big event in front of the statue on Friday, but it will be met with resistance. The local historian Nathan Richardson, who, dressed as the abolitionist Frederick Douglass, defended the statue last week, said he plans to show up again on Friday. Richardson said he will recite excerpts from Douglass’s landmark 1852 speech “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July,” in an effort to explain the country’s complicated history with slavery and racism.

A series of other local historians and fans of Douglass, who famously dedicated the statue in the presence of President Ulysses S. Grant, also plan to stand in front of the statue and promote a “family-friendly community dialogue” about the memorial. Several residents nearby Lincoln Park also plan to stand watch in the park to show their support for the statue. One resident told the Washington Examiner that they “need all the help we can get” to keep the statue from being toppled. D.C. tour guide Don Folden has been visiting the park semi-regularly and since an incident last Friday where he led two reporters, one from One America News and the other from the Washington Examiner, away from protesters attempting to shove them. Folden plans to hold his own counter-rally after July 4 and said that he is prepared to “fight alone to save this statue.”

While the drama unfolds in front of the Emancipation Memorial, many other protesters plan to swarm the city during the day on July 4, according to a series of activist social media accounts. The plan, as it stands, is to wear all black and loudly protest racial injustice in front of the Capitol Building. Christian Tabash, who on Wednesday led an anti-Israel march on the Capitol, said that the reason for the turnout on July 4 is to make a point about the illegitimacy of the American founding. “What is Independence Day to black folks? What was Independence Day to honestly anyone but the white economic elite on that day?” Tabash asked, recalling July 4, 1776. “Poor folks and women couldn’t even vote. It’s a hoax.”

Supertanker Rates Collapse: "The Dam Has Burst"

Some sayings pop up again and again in shipping circles: “The way to make a small fortune in shipping is to start with a big one.” “Moving cargo is what you do between buying and selling ships.” “If analysts say the market can only get worse, buy.”

There’s also one that goes: “If there are 98 ships and 101 cargoes, boom, 98 cargoes and 101 tankers, bust.”

Alas, there are now a lot more tankers than cargoes. Rates are sliding, owners are capitulating, and charterers have the upper hand.

Rates for very large crude carriers (VLCCs; tankers that carry 2 million barrels of crude) from the Middle East Gulf (MEG) to Asia were down to $20,000 per day on Wednesday, with the global average assessed at $26,537 per day by brokerage Howe Robinson.

“The dam has burst, and VLCC rates have taken an overdue nosedive,” said the brokerage Fearnleys in a new report.

“Daily earnings are still in the $20,000s [per day], but with increased bunker prices and further downward potential, OPEX [operating expense] levels could come under threat moving forward,” Fearnleys warned. “By all accounts it’s going to be a hot, long summer of discontent.”

Current rates are less than a tenth of the record $250,000-per-day-plus peak in March and below rates of $28,000 per day at this time last year.

Meanwhile, rates for Suezmaxes (tankers that carry 1 million barrels) are down to just $9,700 per day, while Aframaxes (750,000 barrels) are down to $8,200 per day, according to Clarksons Platou Securities. These rates are at or near multiyear lows and the outlook for all tanker classes remains negative.

House Committee Advances Bill to Rename Military Bases, Setting Up Fight with Senate, Trump

The House Armed Services Committee this week voted to pass a 2021 defense authorization bill that would require the Pentagon to strip Confederate names from military bases and other property within a year — setting the bill up for a fight in the Senate and with the White House.

The amendment responsible for the language was sponsored by Reps. Anthony Brown (D-MD) and Don Bacon (R-NE), and was adopted on party lines, with Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-MI) being the only other Republican to vote for it.

Brown has claimed that a “vast majority of Americans” support the renaming of military bases, but an ABC News-Ipsos poll released in mid-June showed that the majority of Americans opposed changing the name of military bases named after Confederate military leaders at 56 percent against 42 percent.

The Senate Armed Services Committee last month approved a bill with their own language sponsored by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) that would require the bases to be renamed within three years.

However, some Republican senators are proposing amendments to modify that language when the bill finally hits the Senate floor later this year.

Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Thom Tillis (R-NC) have introduced an amendment to the defense authorization bill that would create a commission to study Defense Department assets that are named after or commemorate the Confederacy or anyone associated with the Confederacy.

The commission would submit a list to Congress and the defense secretary, who would decide on how to move forward on possible renaming.

“Instead of mandating the renaming of military bases, including Fort Bragg, we need a thoughtful and constructive process that includes the input of our military communities. Our amendment accomplishes that goal,” said Tillis.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has also introduced an amendment that would remove the language requiring the Defense Department to rename the bases, and instead direct a one-year commission to work with state and local stakeholders to nominate names referring to the Confederacy for removal from Defense Department installations.

Flotilla on the Fourth: Pro-Trump group plans to hold boat parade on Sacramento River

A group supporting President Donald Trump plans to hold a Fourth of July flotilla Saturday on the Sacramento River.

A boat parade, which begins at noon, has been promoted on the social media platform by a pro-Trump account called The Patriot Network. The event details say more than 150 boats plan to take part.

Posts advertising the parade said that Sacramento and Yolo sheriff’s offices would be providing security and expressed support for the police.

“Sacramento Sheriff & Yolo County Sheriff Boat Patrols will have a Patrol Boat leading, following and on both Port & Starboard of the Trump Flotilla. Back the Blue,” one post said.

Sacramento and Yolo deputies said they would not be involved in providing security for the parade. “I know it says we are on their Facebook, but they just are not giving accurate information,” said Lt. Matt Davis, a spokesman for the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said the Sacramento Police Department would be providing security. Messages to the city agency about the event were not returned Thursday.

The parade plans to move upstream from Tower Bridge to the Virgin Sturgeon restaurant on Garden Highway and back, then to a “party on the American River,” according to the Facebook event.

Japanese City Kills "Smartphone Zombies", Bans Texting-While-Walking

Yamato, a city in Japan, became the first municipality in the country to ban people from using smartphones while walking in public areas, reported RT News.

The passage of the new ordinance is to prevent 'smartphone zombies' from endangering themselves and others as they walk down the street with their heads buried in a screen.

The city's assembly in Kanagawa Prefecture passed the new rule last week and will go into effect this Wednesday. Violaters will not be fined or imprisoned, but the purpose is to bring awareness that "smartphones should be used when not in motion."

The ordinance makes clear smartphone users should come to a complete stop while in public areas and not obstruct sidewalk traffic before checking emails or text messages.

Earlier this year, city officials launched a study in several high trafficked areas, observing roughly 6,000 people, and found 12% of people were actively using their smartphones while walking down the street. It concluded by saying smartphone users could trip or walk into traffic while using their device.

And maybe the Japanese are onto something - here's a New Jersey woman texting while walking - falls into a basement.

Smartphone addiction has led to the proliferation of sidewalk zombies.

Pilots on trial over Ghosn escape released from Turkish jail

A Turkish judge on Friday released pending trial the four pilots and an aviation company manager accused of aiding former Nissan Motor Chairman Carlos Ghosn's escape from criminal custody in Japan. The five suspects are accused of smuggling an immigrant. The judge also decided to continue the trial of two flight attendants, not currently detained, who are charged with failure to report a crime.

The decisions came during the first full hearing related to Ghosn's escape. The former automotive executive, arrested on financial misconduct charges in 2018, skipped bail while awaiting trial in Japan late last year. He flew to Istanbul and was then transferred to another plane headed to Beirut, where he arrived on Dec. 30. The next hearing is set for Dec. 17, to hear remaining witnesses.

Authorities detained the pilots and the manager in early January upon receiving a complaint from the aviation company's management, which had learned that two of its jets were used to for Ghosn's escape. All the suspects denied any wrongdoing. The manager, Okan Kosemen, said he did not learn that Ghosn was on board until the plane was in flight to Istanbul. Kosemen alleged that threats to his family were made.

Kosemen, when asked about roughly $300,000 in dollar and euro deposits made to his bank account recently, replied that the money was work-related bonus payments. He denied taking any money from those who arranged Ghosn's escape. The pilots and flight attendants said they were unaware Ghosn was aboard and that his name was not on the flight document listing cargo, passengers and crew members.

Ghosn was hidden inside a music box. The suspects said that checking the box and asking passengers for identification fall outside their duties. They allege that the two registered passengers for the flight who are accused of arranging Ghosn's escape did not interact with the crew, requesting privacy and closing the door of their section.

A lawyer for one of the pilots hailed the decision to release the suspects from custody. "Justice is served, albeit late, and I expect my client will be acquitted in the December trial," the lawyer told the Nikkei Asian Review.

Hong Kong Man Charged With 'Terrorism' In First Ever Security Law Case After Ramming Police

Yesterday we noted that one of the Hong Kong pro-independence movement's most visible young activists, Nathan Law, fled Hong Kong for an undisclosed outside country on fears of how the new national security law could be applied retroactively, especially given his and his close associate Joshua Wong's public relationship with and backing by the US embassy and American Congressional leaders.

There is also the looming question of just what the law will look like applied in action. Recall that the law which went into effect Wednesday harshly cracks down on dissent and fomenting unrest with possible maximum life jail sentences for some crimes, largely dependent on the ambiguous and highly open to interpretation (with no independent review) question of what ultimately constitutes 'foreign interference' or sponsorship of a 'terror' organization.

It was perhaps wise that Nathan Law didn't stick around to find out how stringently it will be applied given that on Friday HK authorities made their first example, arresting a man for carrying an anti-Beijing sign after he was alleged to have intentionally rammed police with his motorcycle.

Has this been noticed yet? Logged out of my yahoo account and saw this headline:

Herman Cain Hospilalized for COVID19 Hours After Tweeting "People Are Fed Up" With Masks

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain announced Thursday that he has been hospitalized due to symptoms of COVID-19. But in an unusually on-the-nose development, the announcement came only hours after he denounced measures to stem the spread of the illness on Twitter in a show of political support for Donald Trump.

Early Thursday afternoon, Cain’s representatives said in a statement, posted on Cain’s Twitter account, that he was informed June 29 that he tested positive for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, and that by Wednesday his symptoms were severe enough that he “required hospitalization.” According to the statement, Cain was taken to an Atlanta-area facility Wednesday night, and while his symptoms are “serious,” he “did not require a respirator.”

Left out of Cain’s statement is a notable event that took place between his diagnosis on Monday and his hospitalization Wednesday night. On Wednesday afternoon, Cain tweeted a link to a Western Journal article about South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, who bragged that social distancing will not be required at a July 4th Trump rally at Mt. Rushmore. In his tweet, Cain added: “Masks will not be mandatory for the event, which will be attended by President Trump. PEOPLE ARE FED UP!”

CVS adds men's makeup to thousands of stores as the industry begins to boom

The new normal?

America's largest drug store chain, CVS, announced this week that it would be adding a men's cosmetics line to 2,000 stores across the country in hopes of cashing in on the growing industry.

For decades, men's makeup consisted of niche products primarily sold in high-end stores, but that is all changing now as interest in male cosmetics has reportedly experienced a recent uptick, especially since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Men's grooming has seen incredible growth during this stay-at-home period," CVS said in a statement, according to Bloomberg News. The outlet noted that the move is part of an overarching strategy to capitalize on market demand for grooming products tailored to men. "Men are a top customer focus at CVS Beauty," the company said.

The company behind the products, Stryx, was founded in 2017 after chief executive Devir Kahan woke up on his wedding day with a zit on his face and had no socially acceptable way to fix it. He became convinced that he had discovered an underserved market — men looking for ways to have better looking skin without the stigma attached.

As such, the packaging for the new products, which are a concealer tool priced at $19.99 and a gel cleanser at $11.99, appears masculine in nature.

"Even though Stryx is pitching a product traditionally made for women, its presentation is stereotypical male," the Bloomberg report noted. "The packaging is black, grey and dark blue. The concealer tool is pitched as sleek and discreet and could be easily be mistaken for a black pen, clip included. A photo on Stryx's website rests the makeup on a wooden desk, next to a leather-bound notebook and rocks glass half-filled with booze. A slogan reads: 'Handsome made easy.'"

The company adds on its website that they "didn't just take a women's product and slap a 'For Men' label on it," rather their products are "meticulously formulated for male skin."

Though not all consumers of male cosmetics are looking for a product so discreet. Take for example, Max Belovol, 23, who, according to Bloomberg, "grew up wearing dazzling eyeshadows and foundation for figure-skating competitions."

While the move by CVS marks the first time that a major chain drug store has begun selling makeup products for men, opinions have been changing about the issue for some time.

Last year, BBC News asked, "is men's make-up going mainstream?" while noting that the male grooming business, valued at $57.7 billion in 2017, was "growing exponentially."

"We're not just talking Nivea; we're talking moisturizing foundation and bronzers, concealers and brow definers — proper cosmetics," the news publication added.

Who REALLY funded the Taliban to kill Americans?

While accusing Russia, without proof, of paying the Taliban to kill American soldiers, US politicians are conveniently ignoring facts about who really armed and financed terrorist groups in Afghanistan.

The allegation by some US intelligence agencies that Russia paid the Taliban to kill American soldiers in Afghanistan has kicked up a partisan furore in Washington. It has renewed the tirade by the Democratic Party that President Donald Trump is soft on Russia and raised fresh demands for additional sanctions on Russia.

With a US presidential election due shortly, reusing the ‘Russia’ card to paint Trump as incompetent on national security or as a commander-in-chief who treacherously colluded with Russia to spill the blood of American troops is a handy political attack tool.

For the liberal camp in the US, nothing quite stirs up hair-raising emotions and passions like Russia and its supposed evil actions around the world. Even though both Russia and the Taliban have denied any collaboration, Trump’s National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien clarified that the Russia-Taliban bounty theory was “uncorroborated,” and despite the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) information about Russia “incentivizing” the Taliban being met with skepticism from the National Security Agency (NSA), it is open season for the political knives to be brought out in Washington.

This imbroglio has everything to do with American domestic politics and little do with Russian foreign policy. American politicians accusing Trump of negligence or naivety towards Russia are conveniently ignoring facts about who really armed and financed the Taliban and several other terrorist and rogue actors in Afghanistan’s complex multi-sided, two-decade-long war which began with the US invasion in 2001.

Forgot Pakistan?

For years, American strategic experts, intelligence agencies and military commanders have held a near unanimous and consistent view that sanctuary and sponsorship of the Taliban came from sections of Pakistan’s military establishment and its allied jihadist infrastructure across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

President George W. Bush’s Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage spoke of “substantial information that there was direct assistance from the Pakistan government to the Taliban between 2002 and 2004,” the crucial period when the Taliban regrouped and re-emerged to fight a long anti-US insurgency.

In 2011, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff under President Barack Obama, Admiral Mike Mullen, called the dreaded Haqqani terrorist network, which carried out several terrorist attacks on American forces and is almost inseparable from the Taliban, “a veritable arm of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency.”

Mask Exemption

==Happy Independence Day tomorrow Anons!

Spouseanon and I walked into to the local health coop yesterday maskless. An employee asked me if I needed a mask, I said no, thank you, I’m exempt. As I walked through the store shoppers looked at me aghast. I smiled. Another employee asked if I needed a mask, I again said no… exempt. He said he understood the ADA protocol.

Then, as we were checking out, a woman approached and whispered to me how great it was to see us both going maskless. I showed her the ‘Face Mask Exemption Card’ spouseanon had made and laminated for me – a very professional business card size. I explained that a person cannot be forced to wear a mask if said mask poses a mental and/or physical risk to said person. And, under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), a person is not required to disclose their medical condition to anyone. In other words, ‘they’ cannot ask you what medical condition you have that precludes you from wearing a mask.

I also gave her one of my 4”x5” ‘Q’/The Great Awakening/qmap.pub flyers I keep on hand and give out everywhere I go in Analogue Soldier mode. She was totally awake, loved being made aware of ‘Q’, and said she will share with her brothers, friends, and family. She said she’s concerned about her kids (16 and 18) getting a good education in what has become of our Constitutional Republic. I reminded her it’s up to us to take our Country back!

Spouseanon and I went back in the market a little while later. Another woman approached me and complimented me on having the courage to not wear a mask. I showed her my exemption card and directed her to the ‘Q’/Great Awakening/qmap.pub flyers I had just tacked to the bulletin board. She said she’s a former liberal and that her father clued her in to Hussein’s treason. She invited us to her friend's ‘Q’ party happening on the 4th of July just a few blocks away. Amazing! She spoke of the inner Sovereignty we all possess. We both agreed this absolutely IS a GREAT AWAKENING! More and more people are awakening each and every day! I gave her my exemption card. I can laminate another one.

Then spouseanon and I took our cart of groceries out to the car to transfer everything from the cart into our cloth bags which are no longer allowed in the store. Why use new bags just to recycle them if you can reuse and not have to recycle to begin with? It’s a concept handed down to me from my parents who taught me to ‘walk softly on the earth’.

At the vehicle, another friendly woman pulled up in her car and cheered us on about being maskless! She had a microbiology background and was totally clued in to Fauci’s lies about the kungflu plague and mask lie. She just didn’t know about ‘Q’. So I handed her one of my handy flyers and we prayed: God Bless America!!!!!

Anons, IT’S HABBENING!!!

Protesters use vans with slashed tires to BLOCK Trump supporters from Mt. Rushmore event, National Guard on scene

Several dozen protesters have used vans to set up physical barriers, effectively blocking the roadway into Mount Rushmore, which is set to host US President Donald Trump’s fireworks celebration.

With several hours left until Trump’s ‘Salute America’ event to mark Independence Day at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota on Friday, an estimated 200 to 300 protesters have effectively made the road leading into the venue impassible.

The protesters parked several vans in the middle of the road and blew out tyres on them so they cannot be easily removed by law enforcement.

Videos of the standoff show protesters climbing the vans and waving banners.

A popping sound, that resembles that of a gunshot or a minor blast, can be heard on some of the footage.

It appears to be the result of the protesters’ effort to disable the vehicles, however.

Piers Morgan slammed for hypocrisy after blasting pubs opening but supporting son’s BLM protest

Broadcaster Piers Morgan is being branded a hypocrite for blasting the reopening of pubs as “insane,” after praising his own son for attending a Black Lives Matter protest, where many flouted social distancing guidelines.

Morgan has won a lot of grudging admirers for repeatedly highlighting the failures of the UK government during the coronavirus pandemic. But the Good Morning Britain host has now found himself at the receiving end of criticism for his, seemingly contradictory, positions on people gathering in public.

“WHAT? This is insane,” the outspoken commentator wrote on Twitter in response to news of Britain’s pubs being given the green light to open from 6am on Saturday.
