i m a 19 year old boy. i have read dostoevsky, Jack London, Maupassant and bunch of other good writers. I have a fairly good taste in music ( at least I think so). I am a NEET. I really want to be a singer and a writer. I,m broke, I can,t find a job, I don,t even have a penny. I can,t even tell my parents what I want because I,m afraid they won,t understand. Plus I,m super introverted, i don,t like seeing or meeting people. I don,t know what to do. Give me some advice for gods sake so, I won,t kill myself. I don,t wanna die!!!

An introvert can't be a singer or a writer. I don't know anyone you read, but it's probably all trash and you should ignore it. Start with Plato, then Aristotle, then the presocratics.

I'm not sure what you think an introvert is, but it's certainly not something that should prevent anyone from being a singer or writer. Socializing just takes more effort for introverts than it does for extroverts, it doesn't mean that effort can't be ultimately fulfilling.

I'd just continue searching for a job. Even though that comes with its own set of anxieties, it alleviates others, and having an income gives you more power over your free time. It'll be easier to pursue your passions if you're in a better place mentally and being unemployed is generally not good for mental health. Also I'd recommend seeking therapy if that's a possibility, that'll most likely be more useful for setting goals and working towards them than asking for advice on anonymous imageboards like this.

An introvert is directed to their own self in their thoughts, actions and understandings. The performing arts and writing all require a deep, natural, practiced first hand experience of interaction with others. An introvert, being an introvert, does not have these things. Even if an introvert was to spend all day with others, they would not have a natural experience of it.

I suppose on that account I should correct myself: An introvert cannot write or compose except for other introverts.

Dostoevsky,Maupassant all trash ? really ? If you don't know them, then you don't have the right to give advices on philosophy.

You simply lack general culture

I would suggest you look for a voluntary position where you do not have to speak to many people or at least give you skills. This will give structure to your day and will actually give you a sense that you are contributing something of worth. Something in:

>Administration (back office)

>Record keeping- some hospitals have volunteering opportunities and this is something I took

>Museums- exhibitions, archives

>Conservation

>Wildlife surveying

With record keeping, administration (third sector/public sector) and museums, you will have access to a range of stories which you can base events and characters on if you want to write stories. Obviously, be aware of confidentiality.

In your position, I would also seek help from an unemployment charity (in Britain some of these include: Springboard, Shaw Trust, Prince's Trust). Such charities will set in place a personal improvement plan and will offer assistance in any way to help your goals. Things like confidence, work experience and interview techniques. Look into programmes and initiatives offered by said charities.

Likewise go to your local Job Centre or equivalent and claim unemployment support. If you are in England, a word of warning the people from the DWP can be frustrating in their bureaucracy and inefficiency.

From this set a learning budget and use this money for courses. If you do not like people, there are plenty of learning providers offering online or correspondence courses. Some learning providers may offer free courses or there may be the option of financial help from either the government or charities to pay for them. If this facility is available to you, use it.

Job searching can be a frustrating experience and there are times where you may feel the weight of rejection. Persevere. Turn that into information and make yourself better.

Listen to the song and apply the lessons.
