Well then get some you faggot. I suppose if you want to study philosophy and science that can help you get excited and help you interpret the world around you. You could pick up a copy of How To Make.Friends and Influence People but I'm not sure how much that will help.
Unless the girl you like is a philosophy nerd, I dont know how it can help you. I'm.dating an 8/10 chick who likes philosophy (unfortunatly she is really into Carl Jung).
My advice? Go to uni and get to know people. Look for.people.with the same interests, really put yourself.out there. Uni can have the most diverse range of people.in the planet. You can find people of many ages and interests ranging from politics to.sports to.geeky shit and yes even to philosophy (as long as you aren't an elitist faggot, which is why chans are full of lonely fick heads who claim university is only full of plebs).

Well if you are depressed and not sure what to do with life then training your mind to think, feel and discover will certainly help that. Granted each philosopher argues that they have created a system of thought that rouses them from a deep slumber and makes life the bestest ever. So really you could just pick one of theirs and convince yourself that its working. Alternatively after much study come up with your own. You're wrong. Philosophy is supposed to make you think, not to make you feel good. Even if you're into existentialism, that stuff isn't supposed to be taken at face-value. What you're looking for is a self-help book, or a Bildungsroman.
But you'd be better off if you looked for a hobby rather than a book, anyway.

With sufficient dedication to philosophy, it grants you full mastery of both inner and outer worlds, and the generally confident demeanour that would imply, which is a mad chick magnet.
But 'sufficient dedication' is a couple orders of magnitude more than you think it is. You'll literally age out of being thirsty faster than you can obtain pussy through philosophy.
Also, 'inner world' includes your hunger for poon, so inner mastery means you can take or leave women, as you like. And they're huge time and money sinks even if you have total mastery of them.
