This is my first fountain pen and after getting this, I'm pretty sure I will only buy fountain pens from here on out. When I buy a new type of something I like to buy the best quality I can afford to make sure I am giving something the best chance and not evaluating a new thing, in this case fountain pens, using less than ideal quality.
I bought this pen as a treat for myself to power up before cancer treatment and it really helped my mood to have a new toy.
This is a fine nib. I saw recommendations to get mediums, but I wanted to make sure it was fine enough to still do crossword puzzles. This pen feels almost perfect. I have no complaints about it at all and I'm a stickler for details.
The best thing about going fountain pen is the mental freedom of being able to use as much ink as I want without worry about the price. I was pounding through relatively expensive rollerball cartridges and they ain't cheap. I am going to hand write the Bible with this one. I like the Mont Blanc black permanent. That's another thing I like better. All of the Mont Blanc rollerball inks are not permanent and bleed with a bit of water. Nice to know what I write is permanent.
This is me new everyday carry although I always have a couple back ups within reach.

That is a lovely instrument. It is superstar level pen. The diamonds on the nib look almost like the pattern of the 'transformers.'

Thanks for the reply. I really do like this pen.
Kind of a funny thing. I liked Zelda as a kid. And I bought the Moon Pearl and later realized a Moon Pearl is something from the game. Also, after buying this pen the triangles reminded me of the triforce from the game.

Absolutely beautiful page! Beautiful pen, too.
I am slowly working my way on a a marathon through the Bible. This is a very nice preview. I'm slowly working my way from the beginning and the prize will be when I get to Jesus.
Thank you, Jim!

Some inks and some papers just don't go together. This ink runs.

Just getting started. Cracking the seal into my dream. Don't really care if I achieve it l, but will build my skill over decades and attempt to create my pen company. Much learning in between, but it feels good to start and gets the mind going and thinking of pen designs.
Going to focus on this one until I have a good concept. Maybe I'll get a lot of concepts going and study internal design and nib design and eventually when I learn the CAD design tool and design of components I'll have a lot of partial concepts laid out ready to use when I build the skill and knowledge.

Or God may create a series of events that puts me in a position to have people with the skills help me create it.

And it's not a greed thing, it's just a way for me to create the best pens and a way to get myself one. The concept is only one pen of a given design will ever be sold. Catch is the buyer has to pay for one to be made for me also. Zero profit, all manufacture could be outsourced. My pens would not be for sale at ANY price.
Become a pen designer and get them made for free. Gives me the ability to get pens that I can't afford. No greed.

If I got a shit-load of money, I would build the company so that all manufacture was done in-house and hire some design staff, manufacturing equipment, and a master or two.

Thanks! I'll try to find more on YouTube, too. I might have to do that. I'd love to have the skill myself, but if the pens I want to make are outside my of my ability I'll have them made by pen masters and jewelers.
