Not a good writer? Not even a writer? Same here. Welcome to the club.

The truth is, it doesn't matter how "good" you are. Because even if you never write a publishable work, fiction is an invaluable tool for mental development and self-improvement.

Should also add that fiction is a great outlet for political angst as well; something I've learned myself which is why I encourage other /pol/iticians to do the same.

Nobody starts as a good writer. Do you know what illustrators recommend to wannabe drawfags? Draw something every day.

Same thing applies to writing. The more you write, whether it be short stories, vignettes, or fucking diary entries, the better you'll become.

That doesn't explain why I should write in the first place.

Just like if I drew a pic a day, I would soon have a folder of pics nobody will ever look at, I will soon have a computer full of text that nobody will want to read.

I write as a job, but that's actually juszt writing little news articles. This is far away from what this board targets as writing.

Remember: to become a good writer you must first be a good reader! Read a lot, and read high quality books. I know there's been several /pol/ literature threads but we should get one up here, too.

Extremely strong writing here and from what I've read it's the best submission so far on the board. I'd recommend to read this to all.

Another good exercise is to extrapolate sentences or ideas to try to improve your vocabulary.

For example:
The fox jumped over the dog.
>Panting in the heat of the day, the scarlet fox hurled itself into the air over the canine that so fought to keep him from his quarry.
Shit like that.

Or at least to get you into the mode or bringing more words to bear from your repertoire.
