As for me, I tried natural-white "Classic Crest" brand printer paper on someone else's suggestion today. It's not good. It feathers, doesn't allow smooth lines. It's alright enough that a dry pen could fare well with it, it's not total trash. See photo in the 1st reply

Here's a comparison of Classic Crest with Tomoë River. My pen gushes ink, so I gotta have a good paper to handle it. What's a good paper that doesn't cost 15¢/sheet?

Another paper came today. It's a japanese import. It too feathers with my pen, but it's a lot lot lot more mild than that neenah classic crust one. No bleed, but there is some ghosting
This paper is Kokuyo KB-39N paper, and it cost me 5¢/sheet (a third the price of tomoë).
