However, of course this sometimes grew tiresome, so he (peace and blessings upon him) declared that they should give ṣadaqah (charitable giving) before asking a question, so they wouldn't be so quick to let their queries fly. In another instance, two of the ṣaḥābah were quarreling over who would command a ghazwah (raid) and their arguments troubled Muhammad so Allāh revealed the verse prohibiting people from raising their voice over the voice of His Messenger. - A Muslim
