1. Keep posts music related. Music critics/journalism are okay. Banter is okay.
2. (new) Self promotion of OC is now ENCOURAGED, but if it doesn't deserve its own thread, post your Bandcamp stuff in the Bandcamp thread and your SoundCloud stuff in the SoundCloud thread!
AND PLEASE POST ALL OTHER AI GENERATED OR HONKFM SHITPOSTS IN THE /AIM/ AND /HONK/ GENERALS, RESPECTIVELY.
They tend to be the only ones used frequently enough to warrant threads.
3. If you want to ask a question but it won't generate discussion, post it in the questions that don't deserve their own thread thread here >>104588. This is to stop the board from being littered with threads nobody wants to reply to. This includes identifying the song in a webm/mp4, identifying the genre of something, and requests. This list will grow and shrink the more users complain about things. Complaints about moderation or suggestions for the board don't deserve their own threads either, unless they're extremely important. They go in the meta thread here >>79867.
4. NSFW album covers [including gore] etc are okay, but put them under spoilers.
5. All lolicon/shotacon or anything that breaks the dost test is banned

7. Look in the Catalog to make sure you're NOT posting the same topic before making a new thread, and find a related thread that you want to post from.
8. Keep everything in one thread, I.E.: If there's already for example a Goth Thread, Metal General, post from there rather than make a Goth Playlist Thread. This goes for posts as well, if you going to make a request then make a post in the request threads (if there's no request threads then make one).
9. Do not make threads for a small post, try to make a thread with a topic in mind. For example: Don't make a thread saying "Hey, look at this band here: (link)", unless you want to make a thread about the band in general.
10. Other extremely low quality threads or posts that appear to be botspam may be deleted at BO discretion, but if something doesn't break a rule, no further action will be taken.
If you don't like something about the board or things other people are posting, report it, or mention it in the other pinned thread
