Hi everyone,😸

I'm learning how to DJ on my own using online resources. I'm currently working on my first techno set, but I'm having a hard time picking the right tracks.

I want to avoid overused commercial tracks and focus more on building an identity with lesser-known artists. I'm mainly drawn to hypnotic techno, hard techno, industrial, acid, and darker sounds.

How do you usually search for new music? Do you prioritize record labels, related artists, playlists, or specific platforms? What criteria do you use to decide if a track will fit well into a set?

I practice with a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 and Rekordbox. Any recommendations for artists, labels, channel tools, or general workflow tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks🪼
