/monster/ - The Last Bastion of Romance

Would anyone be interested in a little /tg/ hijacking crossposting? I was thinking of writing a setting where several /monster/ and non-/monster/ and /chaos/ related gods are represented and followers could get benefits related to any one of them. I could use a bit of fine tuning for them but i havent had time to research them enough to be sure what im adding to them fit. I don't have the system materials in front of me to be in exact detail right now so i cant really answer questions till later.

For anyone really interested, the dydtem is fantasy craft. And im not gonna sperg and just flat out namedrop them when im playing with normalfags so ideas for proxy names would be appreciated as well.

Any tips for better visualization in dreams or meditation? Or just how to do either correctly?

Also, bought some plants recently to try and help with both. Going to see if they do anything when made into tea.

This is all stuff I plan on using for a setting in an rpg. Divine casters(Priests, starts p.44) have to take steps along the paths of their patron deity for power as they level up. Each step in each path offers something different. There are 5 steps in each path

The first was weird. every time I looked in a mirror with multiple reflections, like when you kind of angle a mirror and half get the infinity effect, every other image of me had the Scream mask. If we're looking for real answers here and not just horsepussy jokes, I'd argue it could be your subconscious still being set in Christian ways and seeing the worship, prayer to or belief in Ammit as sinful. You consciously want a dream from an Egyptian goddess of death and JUSTICE, but subconsciously see even acknowledging her existence as a sin.

Depending on how hardcore you are (or were) about Christianity, the belief can be very persistent. It's so ingrained in me that I can't bring myself to tell you to stop believing.

Now both of these dreams to me seem pretty similar. In the first you’re seeing alternating reflections of yourself with and without a scream mask on. Yet your mother doesn’t seem affected by what she saw in the mirrors.

In the second your teeth are overly large, and hideously infected and one breaks, letting loose a bunch of parasites.

I think that the parasites, and the reflections you saw in the mirror represent the same thing. That scream mask, to most people, represents a murderer, someone who is evil. And parasites and infections are signs of sickness, that something is wrong within the body.

I believe that you view yourself as being partly evil and feel like it is on the brink of overwhelming you. Your mothers reaction is interesting. Either that’s part of a memory of you talking about your fears or a worry that no one else sees what you do in yourself which scares you.

Here's some simple but still major things that separate deities from mortals:

Empathy beyond mortal limits

The human ego constrains our empathy to around 100 people. This is natural for humans. Gods and goddesses have vastly long since outgrown this limitation, Mama Reitia and Ammit would be no exception.

Time is a tool, not a barrier

Time is a very "present" and personal thing. The past exists solely as memories and data. The future is planned but only certain if you make it be certain. in the astral plane, time gets… weird. You could literally spend a week in the astral, only for it to have been 8 hours.

To a god, time is a tool, something that can be used, I don't know, but they could be experiencing multiple timelines at the same time this very moment. For all we know and don't know, Mama Reitia could be experiencing millions of years of mortal life up there, and theoretically, she has a cosmic amount of patience.

My parents do love me and have done a lot for me and still do. I just feel like i'll never be able to fully make it up to them for all their help. I think it might be more along the lines of it being silly to come visit her without thinking about what you wanted to come see her for. I think there are two important goals anons who can manage to reach her could focus on, and they could be asked with the following examples of questions:

Gaining information about Ammit herself and how to work alongside her seem like the two clearest things to ask her at the moment. But I'm not someone that's done enough work in trying to meditate on her myself so I can't do it myself yet. I've tried doing the thing where you focus on the sigil associated with the goddess and try to reach her by entering the sigil like a door, but it hasn't lead to anything and I have a strangely hard time focusing on the sigil as a still image.

Lots. You're depressed and you know it. Your state of depression colors any other views you have. Begin to care for yourself. Maybe it means better hygiene or eating right or lifting, but do things that improve your physical and mental condition. Maybe it's just a short walk for some fresh air. Right before you do whatever you decide on, affirm in some way that you're doing this because you're worthy of love and care. As you do them, say to yourself that you're doing this because you care about yourself and love yourself. You don't need to start doing anything big, just consistently do something each day and reaffirm it. Treat what you do with reverence and respect, and don't cheat yourself out of small victories by focusing on how small they are. Focus on them being victories. Keep a journal and write down what you did to care for yourself each day in it. There will be a day where you really don't feel like you care about yourself, and if you keep a record, you can look back to all those other days where you did something and see that you've been trying. You can remember that those may have been tough days, and yet you still did something.

Yes. Stretch beforehand, get the tension out of your body, then sit. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Just the in and out of your breath, that's it. Anytime a thought bubbles up, don't cling to it. Just let it go. So to help clear up some of the possible confusion surrounding the concept of worship, I'll try to explain how to go about it.

Reitia and Ammit are goddesses of antiquity which have decided to ensoul their ancient forms once again. We've got a good idea of what their personalities are like. Reitia comes off as motherly, her motivations are to assist her followers in the acquisition of their waifu and to comfort them in times of unrest. The best way to honor Reitia is not by sacrifice of wealth or resources but by doing good works in her name, and by honoring her as a goddess of writing by writing romance tales. Don't lewd Reitia, she wants you to get married, not lost by being attracted to her.

In contrast to Reitia you have Ammit. Ammit is Goddess of JUSTICE and Fear, a hallmark from her reputation as beast of the underworld. She seeks JUSTICE for those scorned by the cruel reality of fate. She likes fruit, so eating fruit after silently offering it to Ammit first is a good way to honor her. Otherwise you should seek to be just in your life, and never screw someone over. Trying to rectify your past deeds is good too, and remember that if you're still beating up yourself about things in the past, then you should learn to forgive yourself for them.
