tako here for a quick update on how my life had been going
if you guys remember about the girl i was talking about a long time ago i doubt it
so i ended up saying yes when she asked if she can be my girlfriend and on our third month we had decided to get a kid
did her the whole day and was dissapointed when she had her period the next day she didn't tell me it was her time of the month
oh and im working in a construction company that pays $100 a day in which im about to quit soon for a lesser paying job but a lot less stressful and a has much more stable timeframe
how have you guys been?

Well I could understand them. It depressed me what happened, the damage that was done, - this is putting it strongly - but just to explain how I felt, so it basically made me stop posting. It showed how easily everything can be lost, so what was the point in the first place?
Then a little later in the month I started that new job, so the lack of time didn't help either, so I was gone for a fair bit of time.
But everything is fixed now. Apart from a few flags that are missing from a few posts, and maybe some emojis? I'm not sure.

Nah, I actually used to post on 4chan before there were any archives, things were simpler back then, but the dynamic of the site was different, so it's not comparable.
I wouldn't mind archives or (you)s disappearing from 4chan. What I would miss are backlinks. -the one and only real improvement the site ever got.

This was more a reference to sites like mikuchan disappearing, mikuchan also used to have archives but those are gone too and it's only a legend. Imagine that happening to /miku/. It happened before it can happen again. Pretty depressing.

It was a site where nothing was meant to last, it was the original idea. I'm not concerned with 4chan archives, little of any value was ever posted there, and whoever cared saved it. 4chan is better when things are transitory and for the moment. In /miku/'s case this is more like a forum with an image board skin.

I think its also because its difficult to get boards going so that they gain any sort of prominence so there were like over a 100 boards that might have been good but because they never got found out about and never picked up in activity they just went unnoticed and were forgotten like /radiocontrol/
It might also have to do with the niches and most of the users of the site not being into those niche things. I'm still not sure if its good to advertize a single board in the board announcements since it might just fill that board with shitposts, trolling and spam but users might not use /dir/ or /boards/ if they have to look for it and click multiple links

You can also see it in little things like people wanting to be able to edit their posts. You wouldn't be concerned with the posts you make on 4chan. Archive or not. I actually was curious if the public mod account had some post editing functionality. Sadly, no suck luck. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to enable it to allow you to edit posts made by your IP. But if you were to give it that, why not just let it be possible without it?

You also kinda have to consider if there's any reason to use your board and not something else. Like I tend to forget about /teto/ even though I like that board. Its because its kinda reduntant with all the Teto's on here (I don't really mind)
Now that I think of it there's also /utau/ but how active is that one?
Despite it not being on google I think it could still get new users but I think google has taken over a lot of the internet also because of their dominance of youtube and the smartphones (which are sold with android pre installed)
I guess in a way the site might itself seem redundant to other chan users except when something happens on those other chans.
I would've posted a bit on /yukari/ but the more specific a board is, the less likely it might be to gain traction as a good board
Original content could also play into it, if there's little to no original content and another board could be used instead then the board might not have much activity on it
