ennifer Horn, who helped co-found the anti-Trump Lincoln Project, resigned amid reports that another co-founder had sent unsolicited, inappropriate messages to young men.

“Upon careful consideration, I have terminated my relationship with the Lincoln Project, effective immediately,” Horn told the New York Times.

The organization condemned John Weaver, a longtime GOP aide who admitted to sending sexually charged messages to men, ranging from teenagers to young adults. More than 20 men came forward in accusing Weaver of harassing them online.

"John Weaver’s grotesque and inappropriate behavior, coupled with his longstanding deceptions concerning that behavior, are sickening,” Horn said. “It is clear at this point that my views about how the Lincoln Project’s efforts are managed, and the best way to move the Lincoln Project forward into the future in the wake of these awful events, have diverged.’’

Prior to her resignation, Horn had requested a "signing bonus" payment of $250,000 and a $40,000-per-month consulting contract, the Lincoln Project alleged in a statement.

The request followed previous demands around Christmas, when Horn requested a board seat on the Lincoln Project, a television show, a podcast hosting assignment, and a staff to help her with the endeavors, the organization said.

"These demands were unanimously rejected by the management committee and board," the statement read. "We immediately accepted Jennifer Horn’s resignation from the Lincoln Project. We wish her the best in her future endeavors."

Horn was one of the only prominent women among the founders of the group, which ran advertisements throughout the election year in opposition to former President Donald Trump.

The group was also founded by media consultant Rick Wilson, George Conway, and strategist Steve Schmidt.

Among revelations of Weaver's behavior, the group said in a statement that it felt "betrayed and deceived" by him.

Weaver apologized for his actions, adding that he lived a closeted life as a gay man.

"I am so disheartened and sad that I may have brought discomfort to anyone in what I thought at the time were mutually consensual discussions," Weaver said. "In living a deeply closeted life, I allowed my pain to cause pain for others."

Prior to the Lincoln Project, Weaver was a top adviser to Ohio Gov. John Kasich and the late Sen. John McCain.

[LA Times] – Fox News has canceled “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” the program hosted by television’s staunchest supporter of Donald Trump and of his assertions of voter fraud in the 2020 election, The Times has learned.

Dobbs’ program, which airs twice nightly at 5 and 7 p.m. Eastern on the Fox Business Network, will have its final airing Friday, according to a Fox News representative who confirmed the cancellation. Starting next week, the program will be called “Fox Business Tonight,” with rotating substitute hosts Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman, who filled in for Dobbs on Friday.

Dobbs, 75, remains under contract at Fox News but he will in all likelihood not appear on the company’s networks again. In addition to his Fox Business Network program, he occasionally turned up on the Fox News Channel as a commentator.

The cancellation comes a day after voting software company Smartmatic filed a $2.7 billion defamation suit against Fox News and three of its hosts — Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro.

Interestingly…. notice who Smartmatic did not sue, Tucker Carlson; providing further evidence of what many -including us- have long suspected… Carlson is controlled opposition.

Also notice that Fox did not give Dobbs an opportunity to say farewell… They are worried about what he would say. Additionally, they want his voice removed before the ridiculous impeachment next week. I am furious… A pox on all their networks !

Lou Dobbs was/is a no-BS guy who had a great way of cutting through the nonsense and looking at current events from the common-sense perspective. That is why he was always successful. In addition, Dobbs held no fear about confronting Wall Street, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Business Roundtable and any corporate media who attempted to deflect away from the epicenter of the issues.

Dobbs will be missed, and hopefully his voice will land again in a place where we can go to listen and share his common-sense analysis. If he broadcasts, they (MAGA) will come.

North Dakota Legislators Plan To Nullify Biden’s Executive Orders At State Level

New legislation would mandate that the State of North Dakota ignore executive orders coming from the Biden administration that are unconstitutional

Republican legislators in North Dakota are taking a pro-active – and constitutional – step to push back against unconstitutional executive orders coming out of the Biden administration, and they are doing so with the power of the US Constitution in their corner.

Specifically, the proposed HB1164, enumerates the following issues for nullification:

Pandemics or other health emergencies

The regulation of natural resources, including coal and oil

The regulation of the agriculture industry

The use of land

The regulation of the financial sector as it relates to environmental, social, or governance standards

The regulation of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms

Additionally, State Rep. Sebastian Ertelt (R), has introduced legislation that would affect the same fate to unconstitutional legislation coming out of the Federal Legislative Branch.

Ertelt’s HB1282 would create a “Committee on Neutralization of Federal Laws.”

This committee, comprised of state legislative leadership and their appointees, would recommend whether a given Federal law or regulation is unconstitutional. Should the committee find that a law or regulation is unconstitutional, the North Dakota Legislature would pass a concurrent resolution on whether to nullify the transgressing law or edict.

After the committee’s recommendation – and until the resolution is passed, state, county, and local agencies would be prohibited from enforcing the law or regulation.

These proposed laws are in a good position to be codified. North Dakota Republicans control the Senate 40 to 7, and the House 80 to14.

One witness called before the committee fought back against the Wisconsin Drop Box program and she had evidence to support it which we found frightening.

Attorney Karen Mueller from the Amos Center for Justice and Liberty spoke today in front of a committee made up of Wisconsin Senate and Assembly members. Mueller discussed her challenges with the Wisconsin drop box program that was put into practice for the first time in the 2020 election. She believed they were illegal:

Per her testimony, Mueller believed that the drop boxes went against Wisconsin law so she decided to dig into how the drop boxes were set up in the first place. She discussed the legislation regarding the set up of drop boxes and she referred the listeners of her testimony to her web site www.amoscenterforjustice.org for support.

There were many problems with drop boxes. Proper chain of custody and dual controls to prevent fraud were missing. Who was picking up the ballots at these boxes? Were they keeping lists of the ballots picked up and were there members of both parties present to prevent fraud from occurring. Ultimately the entire drop box mess was a disaster because it wasn’t constitutional in the first place.

At her website you can find a number of documents, including her petition with the Wisconsin court where she filed a case against the Wisconsin Elections Commission claiming the drop boxes were not legal for many reasons including they violated Wisconsin law. She claimed:

…drop box sites for ballots throughout Wisconsin, were in fact, illegal, since neither Wisconsin Elections Commission members nor county clerks had the legislative power and authority to create and to designate such drop boxes as “official” places where ballots could be cast and received and counted under current Wisconsin law.

Per a review of Mueller’s site we found along with her petition, a response to her filing from the DNC and Hillary’s attorney Marc Elias from Perkins Coie LLC. This appears odd that the DNC would align with the Wisconsin Elections Commission?

Trump has won two-thirds of the cases that have been adjudicated by the courts.

Droz assembled a team of his fellow scientists and engineers – all volunteers – to take a close look at the lawsuits that have been filed, all of which are a matter of public record, and to summarize the results. This is no easy task, since there have been 80 lawsuits filed in connection with the 2020 presidential election by Trump or on his behalf, and each of these lawsuits consists of dozens of pages of filing and decisions.

The summary report, called “2020 Presidential Election Lawsuits Related to Election Integrity,” strips the excess verbiage of which lawyers are so fond, leaving the bare essentials of the lawsuits: What issues were at stake, how each case was treated by the courts, what evidence was objectively analyzed and, finally and most importantly, who won and who lost.

So what did Droz and his team find?

First, of the 80 total lawsuits, 34 have either been withdrawn, consolidated with other suits, or dismissed due to legal technicalities such as lack of standing, timing, or jurisdiction. Those judges who dismissed suits never heard the actual evidence of election irregularities and/or fraud, since they did not allow it to be presented in their courtrooms. Such cases cannot be counted as a loss for Trump. If anything, they are evidence of a failure of our judicial system to – at a moment of national crisis – actually address election fraud.

Of the 46 remaining lawsuits, 25 cases are still ongoing, so that the winner and loser of these cases is yet to be determined, while 21 have been completely adjudicated. These are cases where the court heard arguments, considered any relevant evidence, and then issued a formal ruling on the merits.

You may be surprised to learn that, of these 21 cases, Trump has won 14 and lost 7.

In other words, Trump has won two-thirds of the cases to date that have been adjudicated by the courts.

Don’t expect to hear this on the evening news.

John Droz notes separately that, despite the widespread allegations of massive voter fraud:

“… only three (3) of these lawsuits materially dealt with voter illegalities (citizens voting twice, votes from deceased persons, etc.). Interestingly, all three of these cases are still open.”

“Further, just three (3) lawsuits addressed voting machine inaccuracies (purposeful or accidental). One of these was dismissed (due to jurisdiction), one was ruled against (although no discovery was granted), and one is still open (discovery was granted).”

You’re not alone – Lots of Republican voters don’t buy into the results of the fraudulent election.

According to a new poll, 65% of Republicans say that Joe Biden was not legitimately elected.

About two-thirds of Republicans say Joe Biden was not legitimately elected president, according to a new poll conducted barely two weeks after he was inaugurated.

The poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows 33% of Republicans say Biden was legitimately elected as the 46th president of the United States, while 65% say he was not. Overall, roughly two-thirds of Americans say Biden was legitimately elected; nearly all Democrats say so.

Now, that the White House has been stolen, even the Left is admitting that the elites worked together to steal the election from Trump.

Researchers trying to understand ice age cycles by examining deep ice cores in Antarctica found jarosite, a mineral that is abundant on the Martian surface.

In a study published in the journal Nature Communications, the scientists said this finding is important because it may help confirm previous theories that suggest there has been water on Mars. This is because on Earth, jarosite is rare and when it forms, it does so as the result of low-temperature acidic-oxidative weathering of iron-bearing minerals in water-limited settings. It may also appear as a byproduct of zinc refining.

The yellow-brown mineral was detected with X-ray absorption testing and electron microscopy in samples found below 1000 metres depth

The researchers believe their discovery backs a theory that suggested that Mars may have been covered by an ice blanket billions of years ago and that this coverage had dust blowing into it, thus, leading to the formation of jarosite in ice pockets.

In Antarctica, the team led by Giovanni Baccolo from the University of Milano-Bicocca detected the yellow-brown mineral with X-ray absorption testing and electron microscopy in samples found below 1000 metres depth.

Jarosite was adhering to residual silica-rich particles, which have been identified in the Talos Dome ice core and interpreted as products of weathering involving aeolian dust and acidic atmospheric aerosols.

“The progressive increase of ice metamorphism and re-crystallization with depth, favours the relocation and concentration of dust and the formation of acidic brines in isolated environments, allowing chemical reactions and mineral neo-formation to occur,” the paper reads. “This is the first described englacial diagenetic mechanism occurring in deep Antarctic ice and supports the ice-weathering model for jarosite formation on Mars.”

Even though their findings back the model, they still have to come up with a solid explanation as to why Antarctica contains small amounts of jarosite while on the red planet the mineral is found in large slabs.

Ilhan Omar Paid Her Husband’s Firm $2.9 Million During 2020 Election Cycle

According to federal filings, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) campaign paid her husband’s consulting firm $2.9 million during the 2020 election cycle.

That’s 78% of the firm’s intake.

The Washington Free Beacon reported:

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D., Minn.) campaign payments to her husband’s firm accounted for nearly 80 percent of its cash haul during the 2020 elections, federal filings show.

The E Street Group, a D.C. consulting firm owned by Tim Mynett, Omar’s husband, and his partner Will Hailer, received $3.7 million from political committees this past cycle. Omar’s campaign was by far its biggest moneymaker, doling out 146 checks for $2.9 million, or 78 percent of the firm’s payments. Its second biggest cash source was Omar mentor Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D., Wash.), whose campaign provided $194,000. The two combined for 85 percent of the firm’s payments.

Omar’s payments to E Street constituted a large part of her campaign expenditures. Her committee spent $5.2 million, meaning that the $2.9 million that she funneled to her husband’s firm was 56 percent of the campaign’s operational costs. The money went toward advertisements, mail, consulting, and travel.

In early November, Omar said she cut ties with her husband’s firm after backlash.

She sent this email to her supporters:

“So we’ve decided to terminate our contract with Tim and Will’s firm,” the email states. “While many of our close supporters know these two well and have recommended we keep them on — I want to make sure that anybody who is supporting our campaign with their time or financial support feels there is no perceived issue with that support.”

$2.9 million worth of “perceived issues.”

China Demands W.H.O. Seek Coronavirus Origin in U.S.

A growing chorus of Communist Party-approved Chinese scientists are demanding the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) send a team of investigators to find the origin of the Chinese coronavirus in America and Europe, the state-run propaganda outlet Global Times reported Thursday.

A group of W.H.O. investigators is currently in Wuhan, China, where the virus originated in late 2019. Chinese officials admitted to destroying most of the relevant evidence regarding the origin of the pandemic in early 2020, leaving little for the investigators to find over a year later. The team has claimed that Communist Party officials have allowed them to investigate key locations like the Huanan seafood market, where the first cases of confirmed Chinese coronavirus infection reportedly originated, and the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), which Trump administration officials claimed may have had a pathogen leak that caused the outbreak.

The W.H.O. team has issued statements claiming the Wuhan investigation is yielding valuable information, but have yet to specify what that information is and have insisted they do not have enough information to reach concrete conclusions about how the coronavirus pandemic began.

Chinese government documents leaked to the South China Morning Post revealed last year that the first documented case of Chinese coronavirus, then a novel pathogen, was diagnosed in Wuhan on November 17, 2019. No evidence exists of any human cases existing anywhere in the world before that date.

The official stance of the government of China is that the virus originated at a U.S. Army facility in Maryland, a claim for which it has presented no evidence.

Despite this, the Global Times cited Chinese “experts” to make the case that the W.H.O. should send teams to the United States to investigate the origin of the virus.

“The U.S. has the most diverse virus strains, which make it the most suitable place for conducting study of origins,” one alleged expert told the propaganda newspaper. The newspaper also claimed that cases of Chinese coronavirus were documented prior to the Chinese cases in America, as well as Spain, Italy,. France, Brazil, and India — a claim for which it provided no evidence. As the Chinese government has not publicly confirmed the South China Morning Post leak, it does not consider the November 17 date an official earliest case.

White House: Hunter Biden 'working to unwind' from joint venture with Communist Chinese government

"He's a private citizen," press secretary points out.

President Biden's son Hunter Biden is still "working to unwind" his financial investment in a venture with the Communist China government, White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed Friday.

Biden reportedly still owns a 10% stake in Bohai Harvest RST, a Chinese investment firm formed in partnership with Chinese state-owned entities. Asked about that arrangement, Psaki indicated that Hiden was in the process of extricating himself from it.

"He has been working to unwind his investment," she said, "but I would certainly point you – he’s a private citizen. I would point you to him or his lawyers on the outside on any update."

In October, just prior to the election, President Biden had pledged that "no one in [his] family" would "have any business relationship with anyone that relates to a foreign corporation or a foreign country."

Hunter Biden's overseas business affairs came under close scrutiny during the 2020 presidential elections, particularly his high-paying board position, in part while his father was vice president, on the Burisma Holdings natural gas company in Ukraine.

Biden confirmed in December 2020 that he is under investigation by federal prosecutors in Delaware for his "tax affairs."

Tens of thousands protest Myanmar coup despite internet ban

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Myanmar’s cities on Saturday to denounce this week’s coup and demand the release of elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi despite a blockade on the internet by the junta. In an upwelling of anger in the country’s largest city, Yangon, protesters chanted, “Military dictator, fail, fail; Democracy, win, win” and held banners reading “Against military dictatorship”. Bystanders offered them food and water. Late in the evening, a rumour of Suu Kyi’s release - quickly denied by her lawyer - triggered noisy street celebrations.

Cheering and letting off firecrackers, residents said the message was shared by the military-run media Myawaddy. But Suu Kyi’s lawyer Khin Maung Zaw denied that the 75-year-old leader had been freed and told Reuters she was still in detention. Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy (NLD) won Nov. 8 elections in a landslide, a result the generals have refused to recognise, claiming fraud.

Earlier, thousands marched on Yangon’s City Hall. Drivers honked horns and leaned out of their cars and raised the three-finger salute, a gesture returned by protesters. Some of them held up NLD flags or pictures of Suu Kyi and clapped and danced. By evening, the protesters had mostly dispersed. But for a fifth night, a cacophony rose in the darkness as people banged on pots, pans and drums in a show of resistance even as power cuts affected many districts of the city.

Thousands more took to the streets in Myanmar’s second city Mandalay and its military-built capital Naypyidaw, home to the nation’s government servants, where demonstrators chanted anti-coup slogans and called for Suu Kyi’s release.

The protests built despite a blockade of the internet imposed after demonstrators first began to gather. All day, the state-run broadcaster MRTV showed scenes praising the military. Monitoring group NetBlocks Internet Observatory reported a “national-scale internet blackout”, saying on Twitter that connectivity had fallen to 16% of usual levels.

The junta did not respond to requests for comment. It extended a social media crackdown to Twitter and Instagram after seeking to silence dissent by blocking Facebook, which counts half of the population as users.

Dominion Lawyer Says They ‘Warned’ OAN Not to Air Mike Lindell Doc

The lead attorney representing Dominion Voting Systems has come out swinging against OAN for airing Mike Lindell’s two-hour election fraud special — and claims that they “warned” the network not to air it.

Lindell’s film titled “Absolute Proof,” aired on the network in the form of a paid advertisement, with a disclaimer that it was not an OAN report.

The disclaimer said that Lindell “purchased the airtime for the broadcast of this program” and it “is not the product of OAN’s reporting.”

Dominion’s lead attorney Thomas Clare responded to the film on Friday, telling Law & Crime that the network is still a lawsuit target despite the disclaimer.

“Nice try by OAN, but it definitely does not relieve them of liability,” Clare told Law & Crime. “To the contrary, we warned them specifically and in writing that they would be broadcasting false and defamatory statements of fact if they broadcast the program, and they made the affirmative decision to disregarded that warning and broadcast it anyway.”

Clare pointed out that “other outlets have refused to air it,” implying that they contacted them.

“Other outlets have refused to host it,” Clare said. “Textbook actual malice.”

Charles Herring, the president of OAN, seemed unbothered and said that the program is “paid long-form ad air time.”

“We sold the air time at fair market value. The paid content is clearly differentiated from OAN content. OAN did not assist with the production,” Herring told Law & Crime.

Minnesota Voters Want Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s Election Money Investigated

Alpha News recently reported that eight Minnesota voters petitioned the Minnesota Supreme Court with claims that Minnesota didn’t follow election laws in 2020. As part of their legal effort, these voters are requesting access to data involving Facebook CEO and billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s financial influence on how the 2020 election was conducted.

It has been widely reported that Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan gave $350 million to a nonprofit, the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), that re-granted the funds to thousands of local election officials around the country. From the get-go, even before the election, these donations were controversial.

After the election, a study by the Capital Research Center (CRC) found that CTCL’s money in Georgia seemed to sway the state for Democrats. For example, “Of the ten counties with the greatest shifts to the Democratic presidential candidate (comparing 2016 to 2020 votes), nine received CTCL grants.” It is possible that this is explained by CTCL money going to counties with larger populations, but CRC also found that when adjusting for population, Biden counties still received far more money.

Further, none of the money appears to have gone toward election integrity measures. In fact, it is likely the money went toward just the opposite. There’s no way to know, because CTCL won’t disclose how it spent the money until it is required to give at least some disclosure in its next tax filing — which won’t appear until a year from now.

Facebook routinely suppresses information and news outlets it doesn’t like. This goes beyond actual fake news, or fringe groups, and routinely includes the censorship or suppression of mainstream conservative outlets and news stories. Facebook has paid several outlets to provide fact-checks on other outlets’ articles. One Facebook fact-checker is the left-wing “Lead Stories,” which is partly funded by Facebook, Google, and the Chinese company ByteDance, which is inexorably tied to the Chinese Communist Party.

The so-called conservative Never Trump website, The Dispatch, is another Facebook fact-checker. It was able to provide the ammunition to censor pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List’s ads, by falsely claiming that the ads provided “partly false information” about Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s views on late-term abortions.

Early in 2020, given the large advantage Facebook advertising gave Trump in 2016, Facebook banned Trump’s campaign ads. Facebook said the ads violated the company guidelines against “organized hate.”

The voters’ petition, filed with the Minnesota Supreme Court, says that the CTCL donated about $6 million to Minnesota election officials in order to “administer, train election judges, promote, and conduct the election.”

The petition also alleges that these donations to election officials were supplemented by left-wing groups.

The petitioners allege that the partisan influence of these private funders on election officials and processes favored Democratic candidates and easily could have changed the outcome of the election, especially in close states and races.

“This public-private partnership effectively placed government’s thumb on the scale to help these private interests achieve their objectives and to benefit the candidates of one political party,” the petition claims.

At the root of the matter, one wonders why it is legal to donate to election officials at all —no matter how “non-partisan” the donor claims to be. There is no word yet whether Minnesota GOP officials and party leaders are taking action to ensure tech billionaire dollars can’t influence Minnesota elections.

It’s no secret that from the day after the 2016 election, Democrats had their sights set on impeaching President Trump, even objecting on January 6, 2017 to the electoral votes starting with the State of Alabama, which President Trump won by 28 points, alleging “Russia Collusion.” When the Russian collusion conspiracy was proven to be make believe, they moved on to impeaching him over allegations made by an “anonymous whistleblower” who we later found out worked with Joe Biden when he was vice president. We may never know all the facts about those allegations because House Democrats denied President Trump his Sixth Amendment right to cross examine the witness against him.

Just like the Russian collusion narrative, it was all political theater, engineered before an election, and designed to railroad President Trump and energize the Democratic Party’s base of support at a time when the economy was thriving and our country was at peace. In the Senate there was little appetite for the show trial and the articles of impeachment were rightly dismissed. Trump Impeachment 2.0 is unconstitutional and should also be dismissed by the U.S. Senate.

BofA Divided as Bankers Cry Foul Over Special Bonus Treatment

Anger is building in the senior ranks at Bank of America Corp. after the company waived an unpopular new bonus policy for top traders and dealmakers while keeping the plan in place for other employees.

At issue is a grant of company stock that high earners generally those making $1 million or more received for the first time as part of their 2020 compensation. Instead of vesting in equal parts over a set period, as such awards typically do, these bonuses have a “cliff vest” provision making the shares eligible for sale only at the end of four years.

People familiar with the situation described an internal drama unfolding over the past couple of weeks.

Initially, the bank planned to apply the new pay structure broadly. But veterans in investment banking and trading revolted upon hearing they’d have to stay through 2024 to reap bonuses for 2020, and management agreed to exempt them.

Chief Executive Officer Brian Moynihan acknowledged the blowback in a Jan. 27 interview on Bloomberg Television, saying the change in policy “didn’t work the way some people wanted it to, so we fixed it.”

Yet senior colleagues in corporate and commercial banking, a less powerful cohort, soon learned that their awards are still subject to the vesting restrictions. That’s when the grousing began, the people said. In recent days, employees have been gathering on calls to vent frustrations and discuss options. The decision touched a raw nerve. Bank of America is torn by long-simmering jealousies and divisions among its staff of more than 200,000, many dating back to the shotgun marriage with Merrill Lynch in the 2008 financial crisis. An uneven approach to compensation risks exacerbating those strains at a time when most of the company is working from home and collaboration is at a premium.

While compensation on Wall Street is always a balancing act, the circumstances were unusually tricky for Moynihan. Many traders and bankers had a great year, thriving as markets swung, and they expected to be rewarded. But Bank of America tripled its provisions for credit losses to more than $11 billion, anticipating that borrowers battered by the pandemic may default. Net income for the year plunged 35%.“You’ve got to pay for performance, and the shareholder has to benefit, too,” Moynihan said in the interview.

Wall Street has been mostly conservative with 2020 remuneration. JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. held compensation per employee in check, and Citigroup Inc. cut bonuses for dozens of top executives after the bank was reprimanded by regulators. Throughout, Bank of America reduced cash payouts and lengthened the vesting periods for normal stock awards. Without the new bonuses, many executives would have faced pay cuts, according to the people. In the interview, Moynihan said the company would be divvying up a total of $10 billion to $11 billion of incentive compensation for 2020. Investment bankers and traders typically get a greater share of their pay in equity than employees elsewhere in the company. “Our bonus pools are down year-over-year, yet some teammates made more money and some made less money,” Moynihan said.

The cliff-vest provision is especially problematic for long-serving executives in corporate and commercial banking who expected to qualify for what’s known internally as the “rule of 60.” Previously, Bank of America let staff retire with all deferred pay so long as their age plus a minimum of 10 years served at the company equaled 60. That treasured perquisite now excludes the new bonuses. Exacerbating those frustrations, the people said, is the decision to exempt investment bankers from the vesting restrictions, seen as a golden handcuff, but enforce them for corporate bankers. Both groups are part of the same division global corporate and investment banking run by Matthew Koder. Such resentments have divided big banks for years. Throughout the industry, rainmakers who land multibillion-dollar merger mandates or big-ticket corporate financings are lionized and can pull down eight-figure pay packages. Meantime, traditional bankers responsible for lower-margin activities such as lending or cash management earn less and feel like second-class citizens.

Bank of America’s powerful chief operating officer, Tom Montag, who joined with the Merrill acquisition, is widely seen as loyal to traders and investment bankers. Some veterans in commercial banking feel they’re being punished unfairly for the pandemic, a calamity beyond their control, the people familiar with the situation said.

A senior anti-Marjorie Greene Republican staffer was arrested on Friday by D.C. police for operating a massive pedophile ring.
