Watched the couple of episodes of this after seeing that all you guys liked this so much. Godannar is a really nice-looking classic super robot, the main theme is catchy as fuck and the action looks good from what I've seen, but, at the risk of sounding like a big faggot, sweet jesus is there a lot of ass and boobies in this show. Every other shot is a perv shot. I don't think I've encountered an anime with this level of fanservice before. That might be a plus or a minus depending on your point of view, but right now I'm leaning somewhat towards the latter. As great as tits and ass are, you can definitely have too much of a good thing. I just hope that everything else about the show is good to make up for it if it ends up becoming excessive.

This guy here, just finished the series. Yeah, overall the fanservice wasn't a real problem. I didn't think it was that badly overblown and yeah, you can sort of blank it out after a while.
As for the quality of the actual series besides that, eh, it was okay. Plot felt slightly disjointed, and I feel like they made a mistake just dumping all the explanation for all the weird shit that happens early on into the final episode, but the actual story that they tell is fine. The characters were probably the best part, one reason I blanked out all the fanservice is because the female characters are a lot more than their physical dimensions. Kind of hard to decide who best girl was, toss up between Shizuru and Ekaterina for me. As for the main characters, Go is fairly likable even though he's frequently kind of retarded, and Anna is likable too even if she's sometimes kind of retarded as well. They're a good fit for each other in that regard. Milla I found somewhat generic and a little annoying, though.
As for the designs of stuff, I felt it was a mixed bag. A lot of the robots were pretty cool, I felt like Godannar and Blade Gainer are both really cool, as are the global mecha teams, but I thought that the other lady-mecha (both incarnations of Okusaer, Core Gunner) were pretty boring. In addition, the Mimesis feel mostly uninspired, there were none that really felt especially memorable to me. The action for the most part was okay, but it feels pretty short on variety. It seems to devolve into sequences of mecha using the same small handful of attacks without any real spice to it. As cool as Heart Breaker / Soul Breaker are, it's the way every fight ends and it's pretty repetitive.
Overall, pretty good series, far from the best I've seen but still very watchable. Not a strong recommendation from me, but still a recommendation if you're looking for something set aside a little from the mainstream to watch.

I'm trying to rebuild my Godannar folder. Some of it is concept art in really bad potato resolution, some of which I uploaded to /m/ booru, but I didn't think to load all of it. I recently found out the website is miraculously still up with some of the images that was in that file. (Sadly not all of them)
