It's coming out this year and will have two seasons.

And it's by Netflix.

There's very little I can find out about it. I have no hope for it, it's being written by the guy behind Thor Ragnarok and the writer of X-Men: Evolution. Yeah, because that's what we need in mecha, more capeshit industry figures

Is it really anime if it's being written and funded by Western propagandists? Netfux really needs to be stopped, wasn't the only real success of this franchise the first film and then everything after that was a complete flop? This new anime is going to be a failure because the main gimmick of Pacific Rim was "what if we rip off a whole bunch of super robot anime, call it an homage, and put it in a Hollyjew film", and turning it into an anime puts it in direct competition with it's inspirations like Evangelion, Mazinger, and Getter Robo which have done what Pacific Rimjob was known for ten times better.

Kike producers never learn and will eternally throw good money after bad.

Oh god, why get guys who do superhero films to write anything about mecha, let alone an anime?

Pacific Rim wasn't even a good film to start off with, I don't see how being a sub par show will help it.

The rights holders must really want to emulate the success of Gundam.

Probably more like Muv Luv Alternative, Chrome Shelled Regios M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane, or Godzilla in the way that humans with mechs fight a coordinated opponent that relies on biology and non-technological means of attack.

Not necessarily, it is arguable that series like Getter Robo, Mazinger and GaoGaiGar are heavily influenced by superheroes and the related aesthetic.
