Well, OP, I don't think it's the kind of idea you'd want to use, but since you asked this on a mecha and still didn't get a question, I think putting a giant robot into a kaiju film wouldn't be a bad idea. I mean, were the films where Jet Jaguar and MechaGodzilla debuted bad? I don't think so. Not that I watched a lot of kaiju films or shows, though.
As for other ideas, try to watch kaiju films not as an average consumer, but as a film director. Maybe lurk for interviews and side material, too. But I guess learning basic stuff like narrative, its structure and how to present it in a film comes first.

Is remaking Cozzilla 1977 into being an actual film a good idea? or is it for insane men? Because I REALLY want to do that

It depends on what you're going for. Godzilla, for instance, seems to serve a purpose in the plot of the film. He represents some aspect related to the theme of the movie. But then you hace american Monster Movies where the monster is a purely powerful destructive force. I think kaiju films tend to have some motivation for the monster whereas american is more about the horror aspect.

Nah, replacing godzilla with a different character, Also communists will have caused this one to exist, Direct-ish sequal to the 1954/6 Godzilla film, After the russians saw that the original godzilla was spawned from a nuke, They start nuking the fucking shit out of themselves to make one for themselves, It takes 9 years of undercover nuking for them to finally hit a right spot, onto a species that is related to the Godzillasaurus species, but isn't exactly that, Instead it's Cozzillasaurus, Too bad that that spot is also the home of a dead soldier who was killed in WW2 who worked for italy, So the wandering soul of the soldier fuses with the Now animated Cozzillasarus corpse into being Cozzilla, Also political assassination happens at some point, not from the main members of the plot, but from some terrorist group who is rarely seen throughout this universe, Aka Valli, Also the soviets raise Cozzilla like their own for the 13 years they have him, Does that sound like a good way to turn this into a different spin on Cozzilla?

So I think what I am going for in my Cozzilla remake is more along the lines of the 1954 one, but with a definite Italian flavoring to it, Also the oxygen destroyer is used and Godzilla is still dead, so they must figure out how to kill some new creature that is as powerful, if not slightly more, that was raised by communisim

Also just asking, what genera of music would fit best with a kaiju film other than kaiju?

Sounds interesting. Reminds me a bit of Project Nemesis.
If you're talking about special effects? I remember seeing some youtube video where one of the guys that worked on the godzilla movies shows a new generation how to do some practical effects. I'm sure there's fan tutorials out there if you want to learn how to make a suit.
