I'd argue on board this slow, it's kind of important. On fast board, shit posting really doesn't matter, since it's drowned out by real discussion. On a slowboard like this, you run the risk of shitposting making up the majority of the posts.
I think a slower board is better suited to tightnit discussion.
That said, maybe it's best just to let people filter, or just ignore shit they don't like.

Hey Dorkly, are you able to add flags?
I know banners can't be changed anymore, but I've seen other boards change flags.
I tried creating the Zone of the Enders logo in flag form, not easy considering it's a 16x11 image. I had to "zoom in" on it (A.K.A chop the sides off) and also remove a few of the inner rings, but I think I got it as close as I could realistically get.

Yeah, the site seems to be falling apart a bit. Every page takes upwards of ten seconds to load and you have to try to post something like 5 times before it goes through.

8/u/ here. We were thinking of asking if you wanted to partner up with us - basically just list our board in the meta thread as an affiliated board and we'll list your board in our meta thread that way both our userbases are more aware of each other's boards.
I made a post about a stream that we are gonna have but we were hoping we could have some sort of cross board alliance for the smaller weeb boards to cross advertise for one another so people knew about each other's boards. We're already partnered with monster.

I'm not opposed to doing something like this, but there's not a whole lot I'm able to do to help with this. I'm mostly an idiot about modern video gaming.
There's some old Famicom Gundam games that do pvp as a turn-based thing.
I know there's some voodoo that can be done for NES/FC emulation to do onlines.
They might be able to be done online better than something like a 2d fighter since there wouldn't be an issue for lag or whatever.
What about something like, y'all do video games with mecha, we run a video marathon of mecha works based on video games?
Off the top of my head there's Zone of the Enders, and a couple of things with Vic Viper like the Life Force/Salamander OVAs and Sky Girls.

Well the thing is that we need to bring in people with something new and then have them stick. The reason people don't post on boards other than the top ten is because they don't see activity. If there's activity then the board will grow, it happened with /v/ via the exodus and /pol/ the 2016 election.
Now I'm unsure if you guys want that many people, but new events that happen in real time bring people together. Also if the board does get a sizable userbase then you'll need some volunteers. Hire one or two people you can trust, then take applications to cover the time zones you aren't active.
Basically we need some bait be it something new or a live event, then we need to make threads based on different topics (but still mecha related). Problem is making or taking advantage of a special event.
Do you guys know of any special mecha related events that will be streamed online?

Basically when you open it you click File > Settings > Stream. Click Streamtype and switch to Custom Streaming Server.

At this point you can start the stream (via Start Streaming) and paste the urls for people to connect and watch.

There is some stuff with the Output tab after switching it to advanced instead of simple but it's mostly switching the rate control to CRF and adjusting the below CRF value for whatever you are streaming. Basically set CRF to 16 for 640 x 480 vids. 20 for 720 x 1280. 24 for 1080 x 1920 vids. You have to end the stream to adjust CRF so typically figure out what CRF you are gonna need for each video in advance and then stream things in accordance with that CRF level and pause the stream and restart when you need to mess with the CRF. In addition raise the Audio Bitrate to 192 for Track 1.
You don't need to do the above to stream but it will significantly improve the quality of the streams.

Sorry if I was being a bit incovenient. As for the banners, this board had none when I got it so I could only uploaded the one I made and one posted earlier in this thread.
I think many boards lost banners during the move, it could explain why some boards seem to have no banners now.
For now the only thing I will do is add banners and will only log in to moderate whenever some sperg tries to do shit or to keep the board.
Anons, start posting banners so that I could upload them.
