so I've started down the rabbit hole that is classic super robots beating the shit out of giant monsters. figured I'd start with the original Getter Robo and go from there. I'm four episodes in and already there has been 3 on screen deaths of the prototype pilots by the robo-saurus army. what kind of a wild ride am I in for /m/?

do yourself a favor and start with the manga my dude. most of the 70's ishikawa/nagai animes were heavily toned down from the original works.
also getter armageddon is based on the manga version of events & not the anime
