Other series with small/toy robots? I always liked the simple designs they had in medarot and lbx seems to be the closest thing to it, but i'd like to have more material.

Custom Robo and Cosmic Break, I think they should be small enough. Angelic Layer and Chobits (with the mobile persocom). Busou Shinki, Frame Arms Girl, also Ichigeki Sacchu!! HoiHoi-san, Gundam Build Fighters. Really all I could think of right now.

yes and it's nothing like that. It's a generic platformer, without any of the charm of the original. I haven't played the ds one, but i hear that while it's not like the first one, it's an ok game.
