Brain Powerd was much better than I thought it would be. Tomino's jab at second wave feminism was a lot less of a comical blunder than most review sites I read about it on. I wonder how much of that is due to my increasingly conservative views?

Regardless, the art is great. I hate that they float so much because it really makes it difficult to have dynamic choreography that way. However, it is does well enough. Not the best shooty bang bang mecha out there but I love it for the characters and message.

The floating is the best part about the Brains, you faggot.

Sounds like Victory Gundam. Hopefully it's less miserable than that clusterfuck.

>Tomino finally realizes how fucked UC Gundam is after constantly killing off any threat to the Feddie scum

>whines about it for 51 episodes through a cast of bitchy, unlikable characters

>that kicking animation from F91 was so amazing that we'll trace other suits over it and reuse it six million times

It has a couple interesting mobile suits and /ss/ is always nice, but that's it. Everything it tries to do was done better by the earlier UC except conveying its intended theme of "I just want this shit to be over already", which the entire story revolves around and the show tries its hardest to make the audience feel over its 51 episodes.

It was so bad that Tomino tells people not to watch it. When the BDs came out he said they weren't meant to be viewed.

Tomino does that with everything he works on because he's never satisfied with his work. The guy is a perfectionist. If anything the only thing wrong with Victory was Karlmann crying all the damn time.

That's not really a jab at feminism as much as it is a jab at liberal society failing to understand personal and societal responsibilities and instead giving into vices as a whole. Though coming from Tomino, who in Gundam has preached that the old generation cannot govern the new generation, that message gets muddled when it's the new generation that becomes liberal and lackadaisical.

Does anyone know if whenever finally Sentai re-releases the series they'll revisit the subtitles? Because they really need a work-over.

I know they're doing it for Dunbine with their upcoming BD release, so that gives me a little hope.

It was another one of those tomino's weird "unconventional" animes like Turn A or G-Reco.

At least this one had clear cut conflict and motivations, and even then it looked like a slog with poorly animated action and stock archetype characters.

I'd say it's not worth watching.
