Totally great robot cartoon.
The plot and the characters are okay.
Some of the secondary characters are pretty fun, but don't get your hopes up very high about it trying to be more than a series of reasons for cool robot fights to happen.
Also it's meant to be a prequel to Zeta.You can follow the narrative just fine without seeing Zeta, but there's a few parts where you're supposed to go "Oh snap it's whatshisface from Zeta"
iirc it's also a bit of a shout-out to some old Gunpla tv ads, too
I was watching some of the old gunpla CMs on youtube and one had some similarities about… I forget. Maybe it matched 0080 or something. I'll see if I can dig it up.
