Are there seriously no subs of the movie version of 0083 or am I just blind?

Honestly, the movie version is literally just a condensed and inferior version of the OVA, with a softened up ending that lacks the emotional punch of the original.
Seriously, don't waste your time.

>that fanart
I don't remember Cima's hair being that green. This is sillier than the weird cosplay set I saw on sad panda last week. Picture unrelated.

Why do you want to watch the 0083 movie in the first place?

Why are move versions of OVAs even made? Do they actually sell? I've never seen them regarded as anything but awful.

I hate how Macross Plus's movie version changed the ending ever so slightly. It just doesn't have the same impact.

in Japan you get to see the movie version in a movie theater, so the usual lazy "greatest hits" approach is less terrible since you're there to see the show you already saw but now on a movie screen
that still doesn't answer why you'd want it at home, but it's a bit of insight at least

That makes sense. I can understand wanting to see something as good looking as Macross Plus or 0083 on the big screen.

That's true. I didn't even realize that Bobby ni Kubittake was something that was shown before movies (Dagger of Kamui if I remember right) until someone on /a/ told me. I wasn't even aware they did things like that in Japan. Thanks for the info.
