Just use the "@" and "#" thing a lot. @ brute forces your work on a specific person's timeline and # displays the content for someone searching for that term. At least that's how I think it works.

>If you have anything specifically you'd want to ask me, about it, feel free.

Not sure man, nothing too general for the most part, I guess the only thing I'd like to ask is the origin of the comic, just because you'd mentioned it was something you'd thought about since you were a fetus before Norman Reedus made being a fetus cool.

Welp. Thanks for the twitter help, at least.

>The origin of the comic

You know, that's not a bad idea.

I realized, recently, that before I even cover the bases for making a page, I should probably cover overcoming the initial hurdle.

Because the current story to the comic is finalized and solid, sure, but the prior stuff was very loosely connected and unfocused.

Maybe touching on how the learning process is, or whatever. Dunno.

Since I'm going on a tangent, and the way I incorporate this might not even make it into a video if I ever got off my ass and around to making them, the origin of my comic isn't really anything grand.

I've always loved drawing fun and cool shit, and I've always wanted to make comic books.

When I was younger, I'd draw a bunch of random "cool shit" loosely tied together with vague themes. Those being

>heavily remixed loose interpretation of "super heroes"

>a city

>visual motifs, usually wordplay

Eventually I built up too much shit to leave it as isolated stuff with nobody knowing about it, so I decided to start working towards making a comic, and the ensuing rapid fire ego death.

I kept at it each day, and that's how we're here today.

You use the tapering, forward-leaning neck a lot, which makes characters look like meatheads. You probably don't want that all the time. The lower right head in the first pic with the glasses, narrow shoulders, and long face makes me think of some kind of nerdy or artsy type, but then he has that kind of neck too and it's dissonant.

Not sure about that hollow at the base of the neck. IIRC the sternocleidomastoid pretty much inserts at the clavicle by the manubrium. I know there's a hollow there of some sort but I'm just uncertain it'd look like that. I think it more flows up towards the top of the deltoid between the clavicle and scapula rather than creating a little heart shape.

File: 58ce641ebc488f8⋯.png (557.25 KB,731x868,731:868,Anatomy Tracing Practice.png)

Big redpill on anatomy study: Tracing in the Missionary Position for the Sole Purpose of Procreation

I've always had my senseless reservations but I think I have definitively learned more proper nouns in just a few days than I thought was even possible simply by tracing instead of clumsily drawing.

The reason I think tracing works as well as it does is it's a lot faster, it allows you to devote less thought and effort on the actual drawing process (it feels like less of a "chore") and more on the names, general placement and proportions of the target area.

Basically I just copy the target area's contours out of an anatomy book and say "extensor carpi radialis longus" or whatever I happen to be drawing at that moment out loud as I wind my way through the drawing, ultimately finishing the whole drawing as such and then repeating this 5 times or more as necessary. Because you can finish a tracing in less than 5 minutes you're really drilling this stuff into your head quickly.

>What this will do:

Give you a general understanding of the names, appearance and placement of certain anatomical features relevant to your target area, and do so quickly. This will help you be well-informed of what you're looking at when you go on to draw actual humans from life or photograph

>What this will not do:

Give you the power to imagine these things in all positions and angles or really even draw them all that well. You will have to draw actual people with skin on them to figure that sort of thing out, but at least you'll have a good idea of what the hell you're looking at, now.

>YO DAWG THAT'S DAT YUNG VASTUS LATERALIS N' SHIT!

This process really helped demystify a couple problem areas I had in particular, like the forearms which themselves have six gorillion muscles to remember. if you would have told me I could learn as much as I have in a couple afternoons I would have told you to suck my extensor carpi radialis longus or take your tensor fasciae latae and shove it up your popliteal fossa; never would have believed it. This isn't going to solve all your problems (or even many of them tbh fam) by any means but just try it out. It takes well under five minutes to do a tracing, and for me at least, it's actually harder to say the latin words themselves than it is to just stroke the image out.

This is the book I'm using for now (atlas of human anatomy for the artist - stephen rogers peck) but it's fairly old an a little unclear in certain places so I'm sure there might be better images lurking around out there you could do this with. Do it fgt.

I have such a short attention span/autism holy shit, literally nothing has helped me anywhere near as much as doing this has and believe me when I say I've spent a lot of money trying to fix that. Watching and even drawing along with a video is not the right way for a person that struggles to focus like me. Just through this method I've memorized probably 85% or more of the muscles of the arms and legs (excluding hands/feet)

legs:

Iliopsoas, gluteus medius, gluteus maximus, tensor fasciae latae, rectus femoris, quadriceps tendon, pattelar ligament, femur, tibia, fibula, patella, tibial tuberosity, vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, pectineus, adductor longus, adductor magnus, gracilis, peroneus longus, peroneus brevis, tibialis anterior, soleus, gastrocnemius, biceps femoris, semimembranosus, semitendinosus, popliteal band of fascia, popliteal fossa, iliotibial ligament, extensor digitorum brevis, extensor digitorum longus, flexor digitorum longus, achilles tendon, lateral malleolus, medial malleolus, sartorius, band of richer

arms:

deltoid, infraclavicular fossa, biceps, brachialis, coracobrachialis, triceps (long, medial and lateral heads), bicipital groove, anconeus, brachioradialis, extensor carpi radialis longus, extensor carpi radialis brevis, extensor carpi ulnaris, extensor digitorum communis, abductor policis longus, abductor policis brevis, flexor carpi radialis, flexor carpi ulnaris, pronator teres, ulna, radius, humerus

I guarantee I missed stuff or spelt a couple wrong, but it's only been a couple days and I forgive me.

When you take away the observational drawing struggle it frees your mind to focus on the thing itself, and in tracing it you keep your hand busy and your eyes engaged in the gestalt of the subject's appearance in a way just reading the words and looking at the image in tandem wouldn't.

I do want to stress again that this isn't drawing and won't take the place of drawing. This isn't going to necessarily make you draw this stuff better than you would have before right off the bat. What you are doing is making sure your future drawings are better informed though, which will naturally lead to better drawings and artistic decisions in time.

Before doing this I had maybe a barely passable understanding of the outer contours of the leg at a few different angles and no real explanation for why they looked they way they did, but now thanks to this I know it takes very little time to correct that problem. I feel like I've discovered my own personal holy grail but I know it's never that simple.

That's a mask. The black part inside the teeth isn't an open mouth, it's black fabric wrapping around the person within's face.

It's loosely based off of the way Ogres are handled in japanese mythos, so you wouldn't see the teeth on the other side of the mask.

Sorry for potato quality but I don't have my tablet set up and am currently unable to use the scanner.

I want to learn to draw concept art. I'm a mini painter and I want to start designing my own miniatures and sculpting them. Problem is I can't draw to save my life so I thought why not do some quick sketches and have people tell me what tutorials I should start with.

I drew Yoshi, a beetle and some buildings (no ruler). I naturally want to draw a stick figure with joints and then build up from there. The stick figure is a good example of what I mean. I find that comfortable to work up from.

Where do I start to improve lads? I've got 2 months with nothing to do until surgery so I may as well put some effort into learning a new skill. I thought about practicing on my kindle fire 7 but you can't draw a straight line on that so I'm using mechanical pencils, paper and I could use a PC sketching app but I only have gimp installed.

As a "joke" page that utterly fails. It's just a huge amount of text. It's not interesting or funny, it's just a wall of text.

Parodying something that is bad doesn't work as a joke just because it's bad. It only works if the badness has some humour built into it you can exploit. For example a bad sonic recolour is funny because of how hard they try and utterly fail to make anything unique. They think they're unique when they're all generic and this lack of self awareness leads to dumber and dumber characters which in turn become funny. The humour is based on laughing at the person creating it rather than the character on their own.

Posting an entire wall of text, which appears to be mostly serious (I didn't read it all, why would I?) isn't funny. It's just you going "let me tell you about my D&D character" and then proceeding to do so. It maybe interesting to YOU but me as an outsider has zero reason to give a fuck.

If you're absolutely set on this form of humour then there's only 2 ways to make it work.

1, The person is super knowledgeable but naive. Think Data in Star trek. He's the smartest guy there is but he doesn't understand basic social interactions. His lack of awareness can turn his intelligence into a joke.

2, you have someone like Data but people simply tell him to shut up when he starts talking to long. Doesn't matter how useful it is or how vital it is that they listen they always tell him to shut up. This always back fires on them but they do it any way and smart guy is left face palming but forced to go along to make sure they don't die from their own stupidity.

As an author you sit in a unique position where you understand what things really mean. If you find the piece of paper saying "The password is 9847" in a game and you know it unlocks the best weapon in the game then you're excited. As someone playing for the first time I just have 4 numbers I have no reason to care about as it will just unlock yet another item cache for ammo and health like the last 10 did. Learn where you sit compared to where your reader sits and work towards their perspective not your own.

tl;dr Walls of text are not funny.

I'm not saying it to bully but it does look like lateral progress; the second one looks like the same artist tried to clean up an only slightly different drawing a bit. There's nothing that really stands out as being objectively better between the two and in some ways I feel the stumpy original has more appeal than its counterpart. Don't get me wrong, I'm not asserting that you haven't progressed at all necessarily but just that those two pictures don't make the best case for what progress you may have made. There's nothing harder for me personally than looking at something I'd done years ago and realizing I'd probably struggle to recreate it let alone improve it today so I don't get any pleasure out of saying that, either. For what it's worth, neither of them are particularly bad.

And your analysis falls flat because you're actually supposed to skip what Sally says here.

What she says does come into play, but the page isn't intended to be read at all.

I've got the entire story already planned out, and there's more reasons than just "lol I thought it'd be funny" to have her do that.

Reasons that tie into other stuff I've deliberately slipped in.

For example, she has very poor grasp of personal space, and repeatedly puts her hands on Max, even before knowing him at all.

She's also a nervous talker, and talks a lot. Those pages being the exception to the way I handle her dialogue.

But just to keep proving my point, there's really only one thing in there that's important, too, and that's "The King's Game" which, you guessed it, is actually a callback to this panel.

I've been doing this the entire comic, go back to chapter 2 and look at the taxi, then check back a few months from now and you'll see what I'm talking about.

But the biggest thing I'll throw at you in counter is Max.

Max is basically proof you're overanalyzing a one off joke, which again I'll remind you is something intentionally made to be glossed over, as there's nothing new in it and I'm well aware most people *will* gloss over it, since he's deliberately been as laconic as possible.

If I wasn't aware that walls of text aren't funny, or that they were inappropriate, then how would I be able to write a "man of few words?"

Ah so you didn't read my reply.

I was actually about to add to my post how I appreciate the feedback regardless. But clearly I was wrong.

First of all, I don't. That's why the words are behind her, and cropped off at the edges.

Cropping off the edges is an indicator that you're not supposed to hear it all because you can't, and also I'm going to just up and spoil the next page.

It's actually a set up to the next page's punchline.

So not only are they not "in a text bubble" anymore, meaning I recognized this mistake I made earlier, but also there's a clear purpose to it now.

The first time she did this to Max, he shoved her away anxiously, this time he swats her off irritated.

Given Max doesn't have a lot of dialogue, again an important reason for stuff like this as she acts as a contrast, I'm showing progression with him, through smaller actions like that.

Having text extend behind borders (of speech bubbles) is a clear sign a character is rambling and the full dialogue can be ignored. That's a convention that the strange visual medium of comics has built up over the years.

By itself, the page falls a little flat in design and it's not LOL funnay, but in the context of cooling down from the previous fight, it works as a breathing point. (it's also a call-back) Remember, these pages aren't ultimately meant to be read a week or more apart.

>As a "joke" page that utterly fails. It's just a huge amount of text. It's not interesting or funny, it's just a wall of text.

I agree with this. The page does more for the story than be a joke page, so it's not a complete wash—it lightens the tension after a fight scene and provides a bit of insight into the big girl's character. If I was reading the comic, I wouldn't laugh at these two pages as a joke, I'd just take them as a sincere execution of lightening the tension and providing insight. (The work is otherwise good enough that I wouldn't take them as CAD-style verbal diarrhoea.)

>>6731

>And your analysis falls flat because you're actually supposed to skip what Sally says here.

It's not properly communicated that the reader is supposed to skip this text in the speech bubble. You're expecting the reader to do the opposite of what is done for every other speech bubble. Having her speech cut off by the comic borders is still not enough to communicate that. Each line is still a coherent piece of text that comes across as intended to be read. That example from One Punch Man is not succeeding either, sure it's a joke about him talking too much but people will still read the text in the first frame rather than automatically gloss over it, knowing it has no information content.

This page from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid communicates "stream of consciousness blah blah blah, particulars of content don't matter" pretty well in the second panel. Very short text fragments, not arranged in a logical reading order, varying sizes of words, panel is only a fraction of the page, and most importantly there aren't actually many words in the panel.

I don't agree with the other anon that critiques for doodles are worthless in general but with these particular stylized abstract ones it's hard to give critique. What were you trying to go for, and how well did you execute it? I can't say.

>>6751

I really love your aesthetic.

>>6682

Looking closely, the legs seem a few pixels off-centre (see pic).

>>6697

Keep it up and make it. Your biggest problem here is symbol drawing. Facial features are floating and appear disconnected from each other.

>>6699

Long chest.

>>6702

Her muscles and shoulderblades look too much like overlapping armour plates because the lines don't disappear enough.

>>6757

One-word summary is imbalance. The drawings in the top row in the first pic all look like they're slightly tipping over and need to be rotated a few degrees to be stable. When you flip the image horizontally, do things that looked right suddenly look all fucked up? It's a useful diagnostic.

First pic, middle of bottom row: The thigh/asscheek of the leg that goes away from the viewer looks bigger than the other leg's corresponding part. First pic, rightmost of top row: The shoulders and neck are so far apart that it looks like a frontal view, which is incongruous with the rest of the body. Watch out for proportion and foreshortening errors like these.

Your drawings in the second pic are better than in the first. I suspect the horizon line is a big reason why, because in the first pic some of the perspective is odd (e.g. bottom row, leftmost drawing)

By the way, how do you get your stuff to look so clean when digitized? Whether I scan them or take photos, I can't quite get rid off of erased pencil traces from my drawings. Do you need a specific kind of scanner/camera? Do you spend a lot of time in Photoshop cleaning your work? Do you use non-photo pencils? Do you just go with inks or soft graphite right away?

Ezcuse myt typing, I'm drunk as fuck. But to answer your questiopns: I get my stuff looking clean by messing with the brightness and contrast on it until it has the right balance between the two. You don't really need anything specific to do it in, I do it all in either paint.net or gimp if I'm feeling fancy. I usually do a sketch in graphite and ink it over, but in the case of the graphite drawings I do a sketch and then pick at the sketch until it's rendered to satisfaction.

This drawing is very flat. The tree trunk on the right doesn't look curved, the bottom orc's left arm is short, and the right forearm goes straight down instead of going towards the viewer from the shoulder. It's most apparent in how his chest and abdomen look 2x or 3x as long as what is anatomically correct because those parts are oriented down instead of along the line of sight of the viewer. With more attention to line control and placement, some of this could be fixed (e.g. the handle and lid of the urn, the tree bark) but the majority of your effort should be directed towards construction.

You use soft brush when there's a level of gradient color in your drawing. This happens when soft light exposure exist. There's nothing wrong on how you applied it though. It just give you a certain effect on your drawing where it looks realistic with soft light exposure. What matter most is how you apply the color into your drawing, and of course the logic of light source projection is also important. Make sure don't screw that up.

Speaking of color, it looks kind of dull in your drawing. Give it some more light exposure so that it looks more vibrant. Because of the dull color, the soft light doesn't have much appeal in your drawing. Other than that, you need more practice on your figure pose dynamic and composition.

Try using a weird, 2 tone, palette, like blue and pink, and drawing something with form.

What this is is high contrast, but it'll force you to think more if you avoid using the standard black and white.

Likewise you can add in more colors, to get really wild.

Basically what I've heard is that if you learn how to reasonably control the extremes, you can then pull it back to more reasonable stuff.

Upper part of her left arm looks short.

The splash of saturated red in a big mass of less saturated blue is interesting but it looks weird when it's only the one accessory. What if she had lipstick and shoes that matched, so that there were multiple points for the eye to rest on while looking at the picture?

>>6903

Now these are damn cute. I love the colours you used. There's something odd about the nipples in the first pic but I can't put my finger on what exactly. It might be the placement, or the sharpness of the edge, or the size difference.

>>6911

What's going on in the area where her buttcheek meets her thigh on her left leg?

>>6917

Is the dude's right arm pointing down or is it supposed to be going towards the viewer a bit? It's hard to tell. The part where the blood/tendrils meeting the robe under the armpit is a bit vague, as the values are really similar. The oranges don't appear to change size even as they vary in distance from the viewer.

Oh, I absolutely agree. If I was going for a "finished" piece I would've done just that. I tend to drop a color layer over pencil sketches and line work before posting so it's not just boring greys. The red pouch was necessary here, though.

I think nipples look kinda off because they are treated with the same lineweight and linecolor as the rest of the drawing.

Be more delicate in what you want to be felt as delicate, and be harsh in the parts you want to be felt as harsh.

Also you can try and put some faint redish tones on the skin in determinate places, very faintly, but it will make the flesh feel more lively.

I used different colors for the nipples, but you can do it with the same black color too, just make the brush smaller and draw them with a bit of care, they should look better just with that.

For some mild background context, these are the city limits. They're far from a "no man's land," but nobody really lives there due to lack of developement towards Excaliburgh's walls.

As for the Game, it's a pretty generic, low level Game, but I think you'll enjoy seeing how it moves/emotes.

Yeah, you're right. It's not sustainable long term, but I more meant with regards to someone who may still be living with their parents and whose parents are also supportive of their goals. If you're living on your own or even with roommates, regrettably, you're probably going to need a full time job of some sort (unless you live like a spartan which is perhaps more doable than you think).

If you're a well-endowed (not like that) NEET that has access to whatever he wants one way or another that's the best case scenario of course, but for the rest of us I think the most we can hope for is a job that's conducive to our development.

These two are better, though I think the line on the first girl's right tit is too thick.

>>6976

I like the chrome leggings and hair on the second pic. In your later post >>7002 the nipples are improved. The creases in skin where two parts join tend to look weird, as they're not being consistently shaded with the same strength. E.g. look at the leftmost girl with the smallest tits, her pubic mound has a strong "V" but the girl next to her doesn't. In other cases there are inconsistencies within the same character, e.g. the cleavage of the girl with the largest breasts compared to her genital area. As >>7024 says, keep rendering.

>>6977

Good range of silhouettes. That girl on the very left is slouching/leaning a lot. If you flip the image horizontally, does anything jump out at you?

>>6980

Hand placement is strange here, doesn't look three dimensional at all and it's hard to tell if the hands are supposed to be gripping what's below them or not.

>>6982

Third and fifth bounce feel too floaty. This one >>7017 also.

>>7011

Good work. Be careful with the gaze—you can see the whites above the pupil on one eye but not the other.

>>7036

Cool sketches. Something's bugging me about the legs of the cyclops girl. Her hips seem to be somewhat disconnected from where the legs begin, in the sense that both legs are a few pixels to the left of where they should be.

>>7040

Breasts at the bottom of the first pic are too wide, like they're being pulled up and out by something invisible. The shading needs to be developed more, as too much of it merely follows creases in the skin and clothes (also seen in >>7066).

>>7067

It's bothering me that the edges (both outside and inside) of the grass closest to the viewer are so round. The uniform grey backdrops and the chains in the second image of >>7070 also bothers me because it's below your usual quality.

>>7074

My favourite is snake hat girl. Afro up top looks like a crossdressing man and I can't say why. The ears are big, but it could also be the brows, or maybe the image resolution's just too small.

Just cover the forearms with the tits. It seems like you're trying to have your cake and eat it too, in the sense that you want folded arms with the golden armbands prominent to convey the character's toughness while also wanting big, pushed-up tits front and centre for the lewd factor.

With tits that big, they might peek out the neck of the clothing.

She seems to be lacking her ulnar, and the compression bending your wrist that way does, but in general your struggle is rooted in how off model and disproportionate you have her.

The main thing is how you've got her wider than she is even in a front on view, but her head and neck are fine, so you're unable to connect things in a way that looks right.

A bit of fucking around with the lasso, and transform, tools, netted me this.

I afraid you've missed the mark.

Here's my pass on your pose. Take note of the particular changes I've made.

Most importantly, >>7232 was on the mark about her pelvis; "feminine proportions" calls for you to have accentuate the hips relative to the span of the shoulders. Reducing muscle definition and relying on communicating strength through sheer bulk is also a good idea.

Scary teefs, I like her cute "now listen here you little shit" pose, pretty sure you'd posted it before at some point. When you make a panel I take it you draw the images individually and just crop and free-transform them to size, right? Or is it just circumstantial?

You're right in that she's broader at the shoulder than "ideal", certainly. As I said, it's a challenging balance to strike. I tend to draw "broader than proportional" shoulders and emphasize the bust to offset it, but I recognize that's not the most correct way to do it.

>draw individually, then crop and free transform

That's really impractical, but I'll occasionally do that if a pose is giving me a lot of trouble.

What I normally do is, I draw on a small sized thumbnail, scale that up to the full res, sketch on top of it, ink it, color it, and then do "finishing touches" as I call them (shadows, sound effects, and speech bubbles.)

I've got an in depth explanation in the last thread, and at some point I might make a video tutorial, if people are interested enough.

I know my workflow is one that's easily replicable, but I rarely see anyone else go about it this way. And I know it would help basically anyone who's doing a comic, as you can just change time spent on different steps, to suit your art style.

I was watching this trash a few nights ago, and it just ocurred to me that the lead girl's probably a good example of what we're talking about.

There's still some "anime anatomy" going on here, but like, girls are soft, man.

You really don't need a whole lot to convey a girl is "hard bodied" in a sense. As evidenced by this girl.

She's obviously less than you're aiming for, but I think you get the idea, of just how little you need to convey a girl's "STRONK"

the face is pretty unappealing, and the shape of her overall doesn't convey this.

Look at the girls you're talking about, they all have very round, beanish, almost circular, soft features to them.

And you're using hard angles to the point where her chin is a corner, and in turn using a triangle as her primary shape.

Sharp chins, like that, are usually used to convey things like "cunning" or, pardon the pun, "sharpness." It's an aggressive shape that implies a level of trickery and deceit, which doesn't really blend well with the facial aesthetic you've chosen. My advice would be to try and use more soft features, and shapes that convey a sense of approachableness, and internal dread. By "dread" I mean like how Lain always looks on the verge of just breaking down, as an example.

>>7256

If you haven't practiced perspective much, I'd suggest practicing with linework, as you aren't able to trick your brain into thinking there's more depth than there is, like you can with form rendering.

Of particular note is conveying perspective, without the use of lineweight. It's possible, but more difficult. Really though all you need to know is geometric forms, and being able to envision a 3D space. Start with basic blocks if you have to, before moving on to making more complex things, as humans are one of the hardest things to draw.

Getting there, yeah. I'd say something like the top center's face, with the bottom left's head shape, would work.

At this point you can also go a step further, and start thinking about how the consequences of having that type of personality, would make her look. You're already on the right track with the tired eyes, but things like messy hair, and a slightly smug, but still visibly tired, expression would potentially add to the appearance of someone "shy, lethargic, and sarcastic."

Really it all comes down to thinking about how a person would display the results of that mentality, in the first place. The most obvious one being "she's cynical, and has a sardonic sense of humor" and then thinking about the results. So like, "she doesn't care about doing her hair up" or "she doesn't wear make up" and maybe even "she likes to belittle others, to cover up her own insecurities." etc.

The idea is generally there, but now the face lacks a lot of structure, which is jarring because you had it before.

I'd say if you took some time to make a drawing of this general design, but took your time, she'd be what you're after. Because as it stands now, the asymmetry to the eyes, and generally flat lineweight, leads to her looking weird in a way you didn't have initially.

As a mild aside, I'd advise you to avoid the "one eyebrow raised" thing, since that's the most common way people attempt to show "whit" or "cleverness" like, I don't know really feel like explaining it since I think you know what I mean if I just say "dreamworks face."

You can pick and mix parts of the various "baseline" emotions, to convey the same one you're probably trying to go for, but in a more natural way.

Good work, though. Most people will just buckle under criticism like this, instead of just coming back.

It goes without saying, but if I don't bring something up, that generally means you've done well on it.

new page.

We're getting more information on how「Burning」works.

This one's important because it establishes the biggest restriction on this, and futher deepens the "blood" parallels.

Specifically "bloodloss." Though I should make one thing clear here, since I may forget to down the line, but it's important to know, like bloodloss, if you just wait a few days, you'll regain the lost blood.

「Burning」works that way, too. You can go beyond what's safe, but if you take time to recover, you'll regain it.

There's further stuff you can extrapolate from that, like if that's not enough to leave him "Burnt" (ie "suffering lasting damage from using too much") then what exactly does that say about Enders in general?

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'll obvious take any feedback posted here, but for the pages, catch you next week.

Right, and they're stiff and boring. I guess it's because drawing more dynamic poses (and keeping them relatively semirealisc, balanced and all) is hard and takes time, but I always want the thing done in just a couple of minutes. I've read also that stiff poses is common when you learn to draw using the construction method.

Also dynamic poses need a motivation, some story or meaning behind them, and then that's another issue with uncreative people like me.

These legs can get a little long. If you drew the legs of that 6'3" guy they'd be 2/3 of the length of his body.

I think your rendering is collapsing into symbol drawing in parts. The chin is outlined really strongly and separated from the neck by that outline, and the rest of the face looks flat. The clothes sorely lack shadows that give depth especially at the collar. You fix the eye area some in >>7258 but the rest of the face needs it too.

Do sitting poses, then you've doubled your workload.

>>7431

There's construction groundwork that you're missing, and it would be better to practise that than to keep drawing Ariel using the minimal groundwork you have.

>>7474

Pay more attention to secondary sources of light from reflections. Common thread in what you've posted is that you have a main white light source, and/or ambient illumination, but stuff that's illuminated by light sources doesn't shine its own light onto the scene. E.g. the deep violet ball isn't reflecting violet light onto the table when in reality it would, and the fog in the first picture isn't shining bright (take what's happening with that middle guy's lamp and exaggerate it tenfold, extend the cone of illuminated fog).

>>7475
