I dont feel like I know what Im talking about but to me the arm looks a little too much like a barrel shape - the bulge of the bicep being a little too far down, the shoulder muscle ending a little bit too far up and the tricep lacking all definition. I've got a full body sketch of the depressed girl I was drawing from last thread along with sketchs for more character redesigns along with vision boards.

I like the way the mast guides the viewer towards the mermaid, but perhaps having the whole ship there might make it a bit busy-leading to a struggle for dominance between the ship and mermaid as the main focal point.
Having a ship in the background and perhaps some miscellaneous stuff for context like you already have may be enough. Sagging ropes or chains in the foreground or something like that could break up some of the empty space. I don't know-it's up to you!

I think the dimensions of the view is working against you. Feels like there is to much vertical space, but to little horizontal. My gut wants the horizon lowered, further centering the mermaid vertically, the ships pushed outwards to line up more with the dominant diagonals, debris in the bottom right suggesting the diagonal leading toward the mermaid in the center.
Here i've drawn in some lines. I think it is a solid composition with the design making strong use of the most dominant lines. However, I think you can see that with some slight adjustments, the elements will "fall into place" better.

The thing with the neck that you and the other anon had pointed out came from an attempt to represent the clavicle of the neck in a more realistic manner, but it appears that wasn't the best idea. The chest came from me not knowing where I should place the left side if the breast. I intend to fix this next time I try this.

Take your time and try and do that over the entire figure to get an even tone and then build on that/take away from it with your eraser and you'll get a sophisticated looking result I'm sure. I think the eyes are a little too high in the skull. The nose is really long, making the bottom too low, and not giving the mouth enough room. The mouth itself could stand to be raised a little. I can't tell if those are teeth or bottom lip. As bottom lip, it's about right, but if those are teeth, I'd thin out the top lip some and go really light on outlining the teeth.
Don't bring the line around the breast so far up. I wouldn't connect the line between them on a pair that size either. Also, they're a little uneven.
The thumb/palm connection on the hanging hand is off: There needs to be more meat/an angled line connecting lower on the palm. (hands amirite)
Those are some really wide shoulders.
The positioning of the feet is much better!

A friend of mine also pointed out how the length of the torso overall feels too long/wrong.

My biggest issue with this pose is the underlying confusion that's come from the lack of foreshortening with the arms and the sword's perspective not taken into account. Both arms form an overlapping tangent as though they were completely adjacent. It also means, that the inner arm (left) is much shorter than the outer.
I lined your image to show you how the arms overlap funny. In the second image, you can see how the left arm extends away from the viewer in the same way as if you were doing a stretch. The posture of the other arm has the right idea, and it doesn't change all that much.

I feel like her kicked-back leg is a bit exaggerated as far as the angle goes-it should probably look like it's coming more directly towards the viewer. Try and put your own leg like that and see what I mean (if you're having a hard time drawing the shoe at a foreshortened angle no one would blame you, consider looking for a reference for a heeled shoe on sketchfab). Also, her legs are much shorter in her dynamic pose relative to her kneeling pose. Her head and breasts are a little smaller implying a distance somewhat further from the viewer but her arms appear to be essentially as long while her hands too are substantially smaller. Definitely try and cross-reference your proportions inbetween drawings.
Compositionally it feels a little weird because you see her h'big h'butt being well in front of everything else but then her elbow is being obscured by her standing pose's knee, giving kind of a visual mixed message.
Keep going it's looking pretty good.

Not too shabby, however I feel like something's off about her lower body; legs and distance between the navel and gooch seem skewed a bit long. Also I feel the detail could be pushed more in certain areas like her ripped leggings and eyebrows which both find themselves among strong focal points . While asymmetrical detail is perfectly fine it's not a bad idea to think about that kind of stuff.
Also it would probably be a good idea to crop the image closer to whatever the hell that thing-is' balls is. They're well-drawn, but we don't need to see that nigga's vastus lateralis or whatever.
Compositionally you have a lot of open area where not a lot is happening. You might be able to get away with trimming down a lot of her right leg, or adding another monster on the side ready to give her the pacific rimjob I don't know.

It's hard to see the 3D form of this guy, especially when viewing a thumbnail of the picture. The neck parts where the fat rolls butt up against each other look like slits in paper rather than looking like they're formed by cylindrical pieces of flesh bumping up against and disappearing into each other. The interior of the mouth doesn't give the impression of being further away from the viewer than the lips, and it's the same with the bottom of the chin against the neck. I think part of the reason is that you appear to have used two discrete brush size settings, and the larger one overpowers the small details in a lot of places. Really digging the design, but the belly looks really weird to me, looks saggy and floppy. Try simplifying it in a different way, you're doing all the wrong lines in the all the wrong places. There is a how lot more of anatomy "weirdness" all over the place, like the armpits or the collarbone, but the belly is such a strong point in your design that is the first thing that the eye go to, so you should see how to improve that first.

Unfortunately, I don't think it really works. The leaning doesn't come across naturally, and they just look unbalanced.
There's the bog standard "practice gesture" advice, but if you want more specific stuff that you can do without spending months practicing, go stand in front of a mirror, or camera, and get a good look at yourself doing the actual gesture.
You'll notice that with leaning forward, for example, you'll feel your calves contract. The reason being they're responsible for bringing your feet down and rotating towards your backside, I forget the term, but I think it's "flexion" only for your feet instead of the hands.
Likewise a lot of your backside muscles contract as well, to keep you from tipping over.
You'll get it eventually, just keep on working.

That whole "artificial mileage" thing is good for what it is, but if you watch an artist actually do their lineart you'll see that they often zoom in 300% or so and work the lines in that way. I have great control but it can only go so far. Their control at that point isn't that much of a concern.
However, from what you said it sounds like you just don't have enough room, period? You should probably consider sorting that out somehow.

It has to do with line thickness on the leg and also the area on the waist is kind of flat. I'm not sure how fix this but usually if it's colored, it should be fix by itself. I sketched this in a very nonstructural way though. Is kind of shitty technique. Should have prioritize drawing the body first instead of arm.
