Tumblr is banning adult content soon, even if that's not your thing maybe consider making a Newgrounds account for old time's sake like many people are doing out of solidarity with our degenerate brothers and sisters. It'll never be as big as Twitter or something like that, but there isn't that compelling of a reason not to have one considering how cozy it remains to be.

Yeah the bar has definitely been raised there on the animation and illustration front from back in the day. I like how the raw images are preserved so you can really get in there and see what an artist did to get a certain result, but the only problem is it goes from like a highly condensed image made to fit their layout and then directly to that raw with the viewer getting fucked one way or another. I hope they listen to my suggestion and put something inbetween the two.

It seems like a mastodon/pawoo, off-shoot, the thing pixiv devs (iirc) made after twitter shoa'd a few high profile pixiv users out of twitter.
So far I found:
+ Allows loli and sota content.
+ Unlike pixiv and pawoo, images doesn't need to be censored.
+ Based on France, so subject to its laws (Loli is legal as long as it's not based on someone IRL).
+ Allows (small?) videos to be uploaded. (Haven't confirmed)

- I haven't uploaded anything yet so can't confirm, but it seems to compress images a lot. I haven't seen really large hq images, so may depend on another site for that.

This is fundamentally more irritating to me because it’s a clear cut first amendment issue. If it's not illegal where the servers are, but it's against the rules, you know they don't respect the first amendment and there's no guarantee they'll decide to censor the site more and more for public image, ad revenue or whatever reason it may be.
