ITT: we criticise the art of Chris-chan.

It's flat and has no sense of being three-dimensional, the characters are drawn very inconsistently, Chris has visibly not progressed significantly in drawing for over a decade, and you can just tell he has no concept of figure drawing. Strangely he can draw shoes pretty well for someone with no skills in art.

Some people might think, "I know is CWC autistic, but he's drawn for years, surely he should have gotten a little better", but, despite having drawn over decades, I don't think he's practiced a day in his life, thus the time he's spent doing it is very minimal. He's drawn a lot of crap, but it was maybe a couple of times over months. He definitely doesn't draw every day. This is probably the problem with most autistic artists on DA. I'll give him credit in one area though, if I recall right, his composition usually isn't that bad.

He draws more than most people trying to make it

What do we gain from critiquing a shit artist who we've already made fun of for years for artwork and his own brand of cringe?

this.

What the fuck is the point of a thread like this? to make you feel less insecure by shitting on a retard who can't draw? go to /lolcow/ if you want to do that.

I think Sonichu is a pretty cool guy. Eh draws lots of comcs and doesn't afraid of anything.

He's a pretty good artist for having such a rough personal life. Even Van Gough retained a constant sense of identity and got laid every so often. No other artist has even been as tortured as Chris Chan.

He's a NEET, and no one really bothered him for his first 25 years of life. I think I'd be a pretty good artist if I were a life long NEET and approaching my 40s.

I like the clarity in his scenes(omitting the obvious unclear ones)

Basics like proportions, construction, perspective and lighting needs to be practiced.

Nice that he picked it back up again.

A better challenge would be to highlight what Chris did right in his art.

This. I've already seen some decent critical analysis of his work on wikis. (bad webcomics wiki is decent review)

He has/had the passion and motivation but not the critical analysis skills that are needed to improve, I think.
