Haven't played it in years. It's biggest issue was that the writers kept tripping over one another. For the longest time, if you simply rescued two women instead of corrupting them, the game would lock you in a bad end even though there was nothing in the game that warned you that would happen. Worse, it would overwrite every other ending, so it didn't matter what else you did in the game. Sort of killed my interest in it, however little it was.

What do I think... Way too much cucking shit. All the deep story paths are focused on gay sex or still-sorta-gay-sex transgender transformation shit. Too few of the females are deep and well written story options so meh as a straight guy.

Easy way to play without explicitly cheating is to use the "hunt beach" command to find the beach, then "hunt flotsam" which gives you a really strong wood club to beat the shit out of things with. You can "hunt zoo" and then explore the gift shop for some easy food. And also, you can "hunt fair" and look for the concession stand. Also every time scavenge fails you can just use the "undo" command to wipe it off the clock and get your time back.

I liked it, but I'm furry trash with a massive thing for TF. There was one scene I fucking loved involving getting your arm broken during really fucking rough sex but it was impossibly fucking difficult and frustrating as fuck to get and grinding shit like that takes all the fun out of the point of the rest of the game. It wasn't even something you'd ever fucking find out or uncover just playing the game. Also add to that bad design decisions and shitty fetishes and fucking hermaphrodites everywhere and I haven't felt inclined to even look into it in at least a couple of years. I spend a lot of time playing it, but it's still a pretty bad game.

There are many design flaws, that just make it annoying to play:

- There's a lot of ground to cover and no minimap. Something in the style of minimaps from Lilith's Throne or TiTS would work better.

- it's pretty gay. Majority of players (even if they're furry) is straight. And yet overwhelming majority of monsters have a dick; some random gay scenes are unavoidable. I get that it doesn't needs to be perfectly balanced, but it would help if dickgirls and dudes weren't a majority at the very first locations player encounters. Dickgirls are gay.

- Scavenging get's boring after a while. As others mentioned a huge part of the game is gathering food and water, and yet it isn't very interesting. Type scavenge, roll the dice to see if you got attacked, repeat. What enemies you meet changes from location to location, and there are unique scenes that you can find, but it still get's pretty stale. Usually cRPG games fight that by: making fights exciting (here I just spam "attack" button), giving player clear quests to follow (here's they're often buggy, confusing and there's no journal; I spend most of my game wandering aimlessly), or by making him feel powerful as he gains more experience and better inventory. And speaking of inventory…

- Weapons and armor have completely no stats visible. Player can never be sure is there any point in wearing clothes or what's better: baseball bat or knife or whatever. Despite having some statistics it's more of a gamebook rather than RPG.

- Shops and sellers are awkward. Almost every defeated enemy will give you some credits, but it's hard to find anyone willing to trade with them; you're more likely to trade with your food and water. But if that's the case, then what's the point of implementing money in the first place? It doesn't even add anything to the score.

- You need both hands to play it and in case of a porn game that's an issue.

- Art is all over the place; there are doodles made in ms paint, cartoony drawings, nice painterly illustrations and 3d renders.

- New scenes are added haphazardly. Because of that some bad ends are impossible to foresee, some scenes are ridiculously hard to find.

That being said it still have some redeeming qualities:

- It have a lot of scenes with bizarre fetishes, so there's a good chance you'll find something interesting. At the same time you can disable the most extreme ones like vore, watersports, unbirthing.

- Scenes are usually written quite decently; definitely well enough to get the job done.

- … I really can't think of anything else.

In conclusion: if you're a deviant and you care about interesting scenes more than playing the game, then you'll probably enjoy it. If you want to actually play it, then don't bother.

Tried solo play many years ago. Exploration and character progression went okay. Eventually reached a point where it was necessary to fight special bosses in order to proceed, and solo-ing them wasn't viable. Found a high-level party who was willing to help, but that also soured me on the game.

I had entered with a single-player mindset, and that worked OK for a while. I was consuming the existing content (i.e. a text-based themepark MMORPG adventure with surprisingly complex combat, wherein you can fuck sexy elf chicks after defeating them) but the high-level guys were playing it as an actual MUD (i.e. inventing new content and narrating their own adventures via live support from staff). I had exhausted the solo-able content, so I assumed that I'd need to join a regular party in order to see the remaining stuff. I was confused about the prospect of reading extensive sex scenes while other players were present (kinda like the impulse to skip story cutscenes during MMO dungeon runs - because you're wasting time for the veteran players). I worried that party-based or MUD stuff might involve ERP sessions. I definitely wasn't comfortable with ERP, so I bailed. But that might have been an autistic over-reaction; I got spooked and left *before* anyone actually proposed anything.

You could always install a MUSH client and try it out. IIRC there was pay-to-win donation stuff (and mobile-game slowly-regenerating-resource bullshit), but you could probably play through a lot of content solo without paying anything if you're patient. There were various OOC flags (i.e. "do not disturb", "afk", "not into gay shit", etc) but you'd probably need MUD expertise in order to use them effectively. Simply walking away from other players would probably suffice if you don't want to deal with anyone.

Alright, figured out how to do it because Save Words aren't a thing anymore. Still just as effortless.

On the latest build, after you start a character a file called FSCharacterSave.GLKData will be created. Save your game to create the file then close it to prevent shenanigans. Open FSCharacterSave with wordpad or at least something with a search function. The baseline states for a new character is 17 12 12 12 12 12 if you put your starting stat bonus in strength. Just Ctrl+F "12 12 12" or some shit.

Those are your six stats. In order: Strength, Dexterity, Stamina, Charisma, Perception, Intelligence.

Change all that shit to 200. High enough to one shot dragons with your barefists and more than enough to meet the stat requirement for every perk in the game, but low enough to play nice with stat calculations. Save the file, and open the game up again restoring your save. You'll be a freshly born lad/lass who's /litfit/ like Zyzz and Steven Hawking's love child, and ready to get their Chad on with any wasteland critter who looks like they need some fuck.

Just remember to ward/ban any fetishes you're not into during character creation beforehand.

You can probably find your money this way, too.

So my problem with Flexible Survival is still the same problem I've always had with it; the RNG is awful. I don't mean random shit will be random, I mean - I should never fuck about an area with a dozen odd encounters and run into literally the same one ten times in a row. This is especially fun if you want to try to fight any of the weirder enemies in the lab basement and you just run into the awful like five menu-click dialogue scenes again and again.

-The lack of of a map really fucks it up with certain areas in the game such as the college since that gotten an expansion.

-Scavenging is still annoying since the devs never gave us the option to attack the mutant that wants us to suck them off for food or water. Fuck that railroading shit, its the apocalypse, let me beat the shit out of a rando mutant for that medkit or bottle of clean water.

-Only two shops accepts credits. Most of the time, credits will just be superfluous. There is a guy that can raise your stats but that gets capped around 17 or 18 and by then, not much else can be used for credits beyond buying water or junk food.

-With how all over the place the art is, turning it off really is the only option. MSPaint tier drawings aren't arousing and I'd rather not gaze upon that when fighting off a gay furry rapist.

It's a transformation game. As such, people generally play the game from the standpoint of transformation being a risk and having to deal with the related outcomes. Transformation is also frequently the only meaningful penalty to combat loss or other failure, so for someone wanting to remain 'pure', it becomes something of a difficulty element (like playing as male, but with only female transformations active, and calling it a failure state when you lose your dick).

That said, researcher option in scenario makes you immune to infection on loss and most things that would infect you will give you a vial instead. You can willingly change by using these vials.

Huh, they didn't take cheating very far. You can pretty easily change everything if you know how to read those files. They're just ascii converted to decimal, and then arranged as a line based table.

I've been tempted to make an actual save editor just so I don't have to manually edit the files, but manual editing is pretty easy. If I get around to it for the upcoming patch I'll post it here, if I remember or come back to this site.

Here, have some added tips:

Important: If you add a new line to any file, make sure you update the number of lines. This is usually on the second line of the file, it'll say something like "table of stupidstuff (number of lines)". Also, try and keep the lines in the right order. I'm not sure if it matters, but they're generally sorted sequentially by the ascii decimal value, for some damn reason.

You can modify your credits in FSNumberSave. Look for this line and change the last number: S102,114,101,101,99,114,101,100,0;

Your inventory can be modified using FSPossesesionSave. If you add/remote anything, make sure you update the number of lines! The four numbers are important, but all you really need to know is that the first number is the number of the item in your inventory. Here's some easy stuff

Abyssal Edge - S97,98,121,115,115,97,108,32,101,100,103,101,0; 1 0 0 0

10x Food - S102,111,111,100,0; 10 0 0 0

10x Water - S119,97,116,101,114,32,98,111,116,116,108,101,0; 10 0 0 0

Feats are saved in the FSPlayerListsSave file. Again, make sure you keep the line count correct.

Any line that starts with "S70,101,97,116,0;" is a feat. Here's the ones I normally add:

Microwaved - S70,101,97,116,0; S77,105,99,114,111,119,97,118,101,100,0;

Stealthy (for the med shop) - S70,101,97,116,0; S83,116,101,97,108,116,104,121,0;

Vore Pred (bypass level gate) - S70,101,97,116,0; S86,111,114,101,32,80,114,101,100,97,116,111,114,0;

Roughing it (beds suck) - S70,101,97,116,0; S82,111,117,103,104,105,110,103,32,73,116,0;

Most of the cheat menu works through feats as well, so any of the ones that say they can't be removed can be by removing the feat. The rest of the file lists enemies you've encountered. So if you really want to see a first encounter bit again, you can remove that enemies line.

If you get sick of your children, you can delete them from the children saves. I might have a problem…

Modifying your appearance manually is annoying as fuck, because parts are saved everywhere. Don't bother doing this. Just cheat in whatever transformation item you want and do it that way.
